Falling in Love
Leaving Home
Load Full StoryThe moonlight shone on his back, Gravel crunched under Spike's feet as he walked through Ponyville. The stars twinkled in the dimming evening sky and it seemed as if the whole world was sleeping. Spike was carrying his bag of things. That night, in his mind, was the last night he would bring himself to see Twilight again. Even though she had been like a mother to him, she just didn't love him anymore. In Spike's mind, of course. Shortly he reached the beautifully decorated building of Carousel Boutique. Then, surprised to see the door unlocked, tiptoed in. The bell tinkled. Spike winced, but then, seeing that nopony was woken up, gently set his things on a table and sat on Rarity's red drama couch. The couch was very comfortable, and soon Spike fell asleep.
That quiet night wasn't completely quiet, and the sounds of hooves walking interrupted Spike's dreaming. The bell tinkled, the door shut, and Spike slowly opened his eyes. Standing in the doorway was a tired and unseeing Rarity. Spike ducked under the couch's arm before Rarity saw him. Then, pretending to be asleep, eventually fell asleep again on the soft red velvet of the sofa.
Spike woke up to a soft blanket on him and the smell of pancakes in the air. Sweetie Belle saw him awake and called, "Rarity, Spike's awake, finally."
Rarity trotted into the room. Obviously she had been attempting to make pancakes, because batter was in her hair and she looked absolutely flustered.
"How's my little Spikey-Wikey doing?"
Spike answered with a yawn.
