{I} To Be Reawakened Is To Die

I was sinking. Deeper and deeper into the depths. The pressure shot up, causing my ears to pop. I tried to scream, to swim up, but I was tied well. Courtesy of... Him. I couldn't get a clear look at his face, not that it would have mattered because he was wearing a mask. A simple mask, as less was more. I didn't know him but there was the vaguest feeling he knew me, and it scared me. Not many people actually knew me. Not even I really know me. Thanks to modern society, I've never been able to let myself completely free, and neither has any other man or woman. And those were my thoughts as I sunk deeper and deeper, unable to free myself, given up to the fate that awaited me.

My eyes open. Weren't they already open just a moment ago? I'm pretty sure I would've wanted to see everything I could in my last moments, right before I drowned... I tried to get up and orient myself but found that I was chained to the walls, two chains on each appendage and a cuff around my neck, which was connected to a chain that was nailed to the wall. What the hell..? There were bars in front of me, another layer of restriction added upon the chains. Unnecessary but better safe than sorry. It seems that I am either in a prison or a dungeon. Either way, I am prisoner. There is a guard in front of my cell and the clink of my chains alerts the guard, who seemed poised to splash water on me, judging from his bucket of water and his position. He notices me awake but dumps the water on me anyways. The water is cold but helps me clear my mind. It also washes off a fine layer of blood and grime. He cuffs my arms in another set of handcuffs and does the same to my legs. He then removes the chains connecting me to the walls while jerking me to my feet. I follow him as he leads me around the apparent dungeon and finally hauls me into the light, which blinds me momentarily. My eyes adjust and I see myself on a raised podium, around which a crowd has gathered. I am knocked onto my knees by two executioners, each wielding an iron axe stained with dried blood, though I do see a few drops of fresher blood. I feel my blood begin to rush. I wanted that blood. I needed that blood. The men declared my execution for the crime that among many other listed crimes, I was responsible for the one that seemed to stand out was the assistance of an evil ... god? Then their axes swung downward, whistling, singing for my blood. The executioners eager to see the death of another criminal, with the crowd cheering, demanding my death.

"Goodbye, IX Trevor. It's been... Fun." The man behind me growled into my ear. I amd this man appeared to be on a tall mountain. I could see a few shacks down below. Simple huts with hay roofings. I heard the man laugh, and the next moment, I was falling. There was no mid-flight (mid-fall, really) revelation for me. I just knew that I was finished. The ground rushed up to meet me, as fast as a train. I closed my eyes and braced myself, hoping closed eyes may null the fear and pain.

I groan as I get up. It seems that I had fallen out of bed, the third night in a row. I hope this isn't going to be a daily occurrence, cause it's both annoying and a tad bit embarrassing.. Wait.. Did I just have a dream..? I haven't in quite a while.. Well at least a good night's sleep leads to a good day at sch... Oh hey there's no school cause

SATURDAY!!!!!

Welp. Time to spend the rest of the day doing nothing. Summary of my life, WHATEVER.

At least I won't spend it in my bedroom doing DoTA or something. I couldn't even if I wanted too. My parents didn't want me to have anything to do with the crazy rapist internet people. Damn right I don't want to know a rapist but 17, just a year from college and they try to make it as long as possible. They make a year seem like 365 days, if each day was 72 hours long, that is. I guess I'll just escape to the nearest McDonald's and grab some 2 o'clock breakfast-lunch (brunch, whichever). Yes, I do really enjoy taking my time, so what? It took me 4 hours to get up once. Woke up at 8 and finally had the determination by 12.

I got in my beat down Toyota and started the engine. Drive, Reverse, gas, turn, back to drive, and go. Still was a bit nervous though. I drive okay, but I just can't quench a feeling of unease and a bit of panic everytime I start the engine. I guess it's like performing. Getting up and doing shit is hard, but afterwards, you're glad it's over.

I pull over into the parking lot, willing to eat at the place to stay away from my parents just a little while longer, and for the ketchup and refills. I sit down at a table in the corner, one of those two seater tables because I don't want to be that one guy who sits at a large table alone, keeping others away while their fat asses are at it.

I sIide my food onto the table and get on the seat, just as another man slides his tray right next to mine. I do normally try to stay away from people but he doesn't seem like a man who picks fights for no reason. He's asian, like me, but has a look in his eyes that tells me he's a mofukin' sensei and will beat anyone's ass but is also at peace with the world, so I just unwrap my divine fast food, the cheese oozing out like the fountain of youth. The fries fried to absolute perfection, and the Coke so refreshing. I take a bite of the burger, feeling the delicious crunch of the pickles and the perfect tenderness of the burger patty. The man opens his mouth, wanting to talk, i guess. I shush him, not wanting to ruin the moment but he speaks. "So. What did you think of the season finale? Twilight was finally given a castle. Though she was turned into an alicorn last season. It must have been painful to suddenly sprout wings out of your back, even with the assistance of magic." Umm... What now? He be a brony.. Right? I'm pretty sure that My Little Pony is the only kind of show so far with that kind of season ending. But how did he know? I wasn't being overly nice or announcing that I was a brony.. I'm not wearing any merchandise either... I open my mouth to speak,"Mrphmmm." oops... There was food in my mouth but not anymore. The food, dripping with my saliva, flies towards him but never hits him. It seems to disappear into thin air... The hell? I've been saying that way too many times today. Where did the food go? I hope he didn't eat it.. But where did it go? I stare for a few seconds until he frowns at me. "Right. So about that seaon finale... How was it?"

"Oh, it was quite the cliffhanger, though it was nice to see Twi finally have some appreciation."

"Okay. So how would you like to know what happens next? Like a sneek peek at things."

"Hell yes, I do. But why are you offering me this? You literally just met me."

"It isn't often I meet another... Brony."

"Alright. Good enough for me."

"Yes. Good. So I can get it to you right now, if you would come with me."

"Sure"

I stuff the rest of my burger into my mouth along with the fries and follow him put the door. Why am I following a strange sensei into an alleyway you ask? Because I am confident in my abilities. I ran a 5 minute mile, along with taking a few self-defense lessons in the past. I'm pretty sure that's enough to take down an old sensei if need be.

While walking, we talk a bit about the show.

"If, theoretically, you were sent to Equestria.." the old asks,"what sort of creature wpuld you like to become? I mean, you can't just be the only human in a world of ponies."

"Well..." I pause to think,"I would say that I want to be a dragon, but the dragons in Equestria suck and though being a pony is also appealing, a pony is just too different from a human body. Something bipedal.. I guess."

"Good choice. But you should know, not all things turn out your way."

He turns around with a knife in his hands.

"What the hell?!" I exclaim, surprised. I was starting to like this guy but now I have to beat him up? Well it appears that he was better than me at fighting. Not sure what I was thinking when I thought I could beat this guy up. Knives change a lot in fights. Getting stabbed is about 10 times worse than getting punched, even if said punch bruised you. The fight was just a downwards spiral and his little knife became a sword and then a kuan tao. Friggin bankai skills.

"AAAAH HALP!" was the first thing that came out of my mouth. No knight in shining armor came to save me or in this case a cop in a blue uniform. Sensei man lowered his weapon, first making a vertical slice down the middle of my forehead and then stabbed me in the stomach. As I slowly blacked out, I heard him grumble to himself about interdimentional transports taking too much energy... Which made no sense.. Just some crazy old geezer killing me ahahaha.. Must.. Be woozy from the blood loss.. Damn my stomach hurts like hell.. I open my eyes a crack to see if the psycho old man was gone but I see the man's boot come towards my face, and it had a mysterious glow to it.
