Dust particles is dead skin. And they're also mainly dead peoples dead skin.
So every time you look at a ray of sunshine, and see dust twirling and fall softly onto the grass, then to be picked up again by the soft breeze, you're looking at dead people's skin. So basically, your looking at dead people dancing. I sat by the grimy window, which only allowed brown light to illuminate my room, and wiped it clean. I squinted for a second before I got used to the bright sunlight. With realising it, I hissed slightly and sat down, leaning my forehead against the warm glass. I looked down at the street, and watched the fillies and colts play together, laughing and chatting. I wished I was out there playing.
I tried once...
I jumped through the blue doors, then quickly stepped aside, allowing the Doctor to jump in after me. I slammed the door closed, barely a second early, as I felt the impact hit the TARDIS quickly. I started to pant, and I looked over at the Doctor, who was leaning against the railing, planting with a stupid grin on his face. I rolled my eyes and ran up to the console.
"Where to next Doctor?"
I remember it well. My parents were out, and like always, they had told me explicitly to sit inside, stay away from the windows, leave the lights off, and to make no noise what so ever. I never really understood why. I suppose it was because I was different. Anyway, I got sick of waiting, that was all I did. So I cautiously opened the oak wood door with a creak and the sunlight streamed down the dusty hallway, and I couldn't see for a moment.
I stepped out and closed the large door with a soft click. I heard the children laugh on the street behind the hedges that kept our front yard hidden. Some days, it felt as if our house was't there at all. As if it was invisible, because ponies wouldn't ever give it a second glance. Standing there, I soaked all of the sun and laughter in, all of the love, it made me feel so much stronger. I turned back to the house, and I found it kind of menacing. It was quite thin, very dark and it was mostly painted black, with various variations of grey. All of the windows were murky and dusty. It was about 5 stories high, with a thin spike touching the sky pretuding from the top of the house. I thought I saw shadows in a couple of the windows, but I brushed it off.
I tuned back to the front. I've seen my parents leave, they always left by the side alley, but I just walked right through the hedges onto the street, causing some leaves to get caught in my dirty, matted mane. All of the laughing and happiness turned into fear as their eyes played onto me. "Hi..." I said confidently, but for some reason, every pony ran back into their houses, leaving me feeling weak. I stumbled back through the hedge and clumsily entered my room up the stairs. As soon as I had entered my house, I felt better. I felt stable.
"Here we are Ditzy! Allons-y!" The Doctor yelled and galloped though the doors. I threw my head back and laughed a hearty laugh, and galloped outside. I closed the door behind me, and observed my surroundings. It looked like somewhere in Equestria... But I didn't know where. We were on the right side of the street, which seemed to be eerily deserted. I also noticed there seemed to be a missing house two houses down from where we were standing. I looked back to the Doctor who was already walking towards the house we were in front of. I caught up quickly.
"what's going on Doctor?" I asked staring up at the seemingly normal house. When you're with the Doctor, you learn to be suspicious about practically everything.
"We ask around." He said it simply. Like he always does. He makes everything seem to simple. He's just too good to be true; that's what I tell myself often, that he isn't real, that he's a figment of my imagination. But that can't be true. How could he have shown me the stars? The daleks? The haths?
So I sat there, in my room. My room walls were painted a dark violet, but since it's been so long, it's turned more of a very, very dark grey. Cracks and small patches of old were scattered around on the walls. The carpeted floor used to be a nice shade of beige, but now it was grey, it had lost its color. My bed was small and it had light purple sheets and pillows. It was never made up, only when ponies came over i'd make them up. Haven't made them up for 8 years, but I am willing to wait. There was a black dresser and a black closet, and a mirror, all with scarves and long, beaded necklaces draping across them. I sat on my bed. Hoping.
I walked to my window and saw two ponies, one brown stallion and one light grey mare walk onto a front yard. I wondered how they got there. I saw that they had a blue box near them, and I looked at the sky. My pupils shrieked as I saw it was about to be night and my parents weren't home yet. A small part of me started to panic, and that panic grew wilder.

The Colours of Your Nightmares
The Doctor tapped against the oak wood door, when my eyes drifted away from the door, the window next to it caught my eye. Something shifted in the darkness. Before I could ask The Doctor about what had happened, the door creak open a crack and we were pulled into a murky hallway. The lights were off, leaving our eyes to adjust. With my eye 'problem', it takes a little longer to adjust, so I was stuck in darkness.
All I could see was the dark outline of thin tables, door handles and a female pony infant of us. She opened her eyes, and a brilliant gold burst out, causing light to flicker about the room. She wore a flattering dark blue dress, that covered her whole body, and her hair was done up in a bun. Her hair was the colour of silver with a couple of gold streaks here and there. her face adorned many wrinkles, mostly those that made her look as if she had laughed her entire life. Even now, her face was graced with a soft smile. She kept her eyes on me and she was muttering something to herself, then her eyes drifted to the Doctor, and she jumped backwards, causing herself to bang into a thin table. "Ow" she whispered.
"It's you..." She muttered towards the Doctor, pure wonder crossed on her face.
Mother and Father were back. They gave me food, that tasted like metal and love, and sent me to bed. So I lay here in there dark. Listening to the wind beat and batter against my window, my door was open just a crack, allowing trickles of flickering, gold light streak down my wall. I listened to the soft cackles of the night ring in my ears. Then my parents went to bed; closing my door, and leaving me in black.
Then the shadows shifted, and each time they did, they would laugh. That horrible laugh that would cause Discord to crumble in fear. Good thing I'm not Discord.
"Oh, sorry for startling you... Do I know you?" The doctor said glancing around the room. I rolled my eyes and helped the old mare up
"Don't mind him ma'am, he's an idiot." I said to the mare with laughing eyes. She laughed at my statement.
"Oi!" The Doctor squeaked, causing me to roll my eyes and laugh.
"Hmm... It seems you haven't met me yet..." She said curiously.
"Oh! Not this again!" The Doctor said face hoofing. I glanced at the two ponies, and for a spilt second, I thought I saw a string connecting them.
I got out of my bed, and I immediately regretted it, as the monsters sat still. They disappeared in other words. This gave me no relief, it only gave me more worry.
"I-I'm n-n-not afraid of you!" I stammered to the creatures lurking in the corners of my eyes. I heard a menacing laugh reply and it make me freeze on the spot.
"I doubt that dear filly!" It screeched almost in a completely different language.
"You don't know what I'm capable of!" I shouted, I knew my parent wouldn't be able to hear. Right now, I was in another dimension. I could feel it.
"Oh, we know full well my dear..." It said seriously. I felt something brush against my foreleg and then I saw violet eyes in front of me. Then I fell asleep, or something like that with its last words ringing in my ears.
"If you paint the world with darkness my dear,
And there was only black,
