Huntsman

Prologue
For you to understand why this all happened how I lost my home and my family there’s something you have to know first we were the original owners of that land and yes when the ponies got there we had been gone a long time they’re not the problem and if we were still there we would had hopefully found a way for us to live together but we weren’t and this is my story of why.
It all started like most stories with peace, back when I was only a colt life was… beautiful simply beautiful our stars watched over us food was plentiful and you could live your life without the fear of war without the fear of death I had a sister back then a few years younger than me we lived in a small town were you knew everpony you meet could be a new friend and most of the time they did I like most foals that age I had my friends and like most they were the best ponies I knew.
“Can’t catch me! Can’t catch me!” I said as I ran down the road.
“You’re not getting away this time Midnight!” Ivy was always the biggest filly I know not that she was fat just natens are really big and since her family owned the old orchard it wasn’t hard to see why she was bigger then most but when she said she would do something she did it eventually.
“Not this time I’m way too focused to fall into one of your traps” and apparently I didn’t need to as I was tackled by a ball of fire.
“Oh sorry Middy, Halo’s using her magic again” luckily the ball of fire was Cinder a tan piron with crimson horns that spread over the back his neck and also my oldest friend but more importantly the only one who wasn’t a filly.
“And you brought her to me” I got my answer when the ground started moving towards the closest thing to a reaper pony I knew.
“Get back here Cinder you can never escape the Siren!” Halo or the Siren as she call herself was one of those ponies you didn't want to be on the bad side of then again show me a eafic you do.
“Sure I can just watch me” he then sprinted down the road at top speed seeing no other choice I followed him and soon found the flag we were looking for, in the middle of the lake no problem I had wings and I knew how to use them sort of.
“Stay here I’ll get it” I melted into mist and floated over and just before I grabbed it Cinder was attacked by the water and by water I mean Lily the smallest filly I knew but that was just what happened to aquins as I turned to see what was going on I was tackled by my little sister Dawn now I remembered why we didn’t play boys on girls.
“I told you I’d get you Midnight” Ivy said as she ran up to the shoreline.
“You know what that means” Halo said as I few over with my little sister on my back.
“Oh do we have to?”
“Hmm yes” at less she pretended to consider it.
“Fine” I looked at Cinder and quickly kissed him before hacking off to the side “Oh come on why would you use your tongue!”
“I don’t know it seemed like a good idea at the time” of course it did, forget what I said earlier maybe it would be better if all my friends were filly.
As I was busy trying to get the taste of colt out of my mouth something me and many others had been waiting to happen finally did after all most a year the huntsman returned which meant “Daddy’s back!” Dawn said as she ran off to where they always stopped at ebony tower the center of Everfree city.
It took a moment to realise that she had run off again and surprisingly it took longer to realise where she was going “Wait Dawn where are you going! Don’t leave without me! Dawn!”

Town square was packed of course it was packed nopony had seen any of these mares or stallions for all most a year Dawn was small enough to get in between everypony hooves I wasn’t so lucky and so I had to fly above everypony else which was good for seeing what was going on but not for finding a filly who underneath everypony else and that’s when I saw it soldiers young and old most walking with a limp even more with horrific scars and bring myself to look away but that’s when I heard the small voice of my little sister “Daddy where are you daddy?” I looked down and saw Dawn walk out of the crowd.
I flew over to her but before I could get there a stallion walked over to my sister and hugged her I landed in front of them and I knew this stallion he was one of dad’s old friends what was his name again I walked up to get closer when I saw he was crying I could feel my own eyes tearing up what was this guy’s name “Mr Trick Shot what’s wrong” of course she would remembered but I why was he crying why was I crying.
I couldn't think straight all I could hear was his mumble apologies “I’m sorry, I’m so sorry.”
“Trick Shot what happened, Trick shot where’s our father.” I didn’t want to hear the answer but I needed to know.
“Midnight I’m so sorry your father’s not coming back” and that’s when it started the end of our beautiful world.
