Love

I was strapped in the back of the truck with Hell.

"Hey." She said, removing my blindfold.

"What?" I asked.

"Why did you kill him? This could've all been avoided if you..." Aria started.

I could tell that she was upset about her sister... Maybe I should use that.

"Your man tried to kill Celestia, he left me no choice." I said.

"He was sent to grab Kyle, not..." Aria started angrily.

"You're mad about your sister, aren't you?" I asked.

Aria turned to me, revealing her tattooed face.

"You have no idea what it's like..." Aria said.

"No, I do. Much more than you think. I lost my brother to a public execution, he saved my life- he pretended to be me, we looked exactly alike. All we had to do was switch clothing. Adagio, she was picked out of random. It could've been anyone else. If your husband was smart, he would've brought her with us. But... he didn't." I said, twisting the knife in the wound.

"Stop. I don't need a lecture." Aria said.

"Yeah, I think you do... You wanna be with someone like that, someone who killed your family?" I asked.

"I said stop." Aria said, more assertively.

"Hey, everything alright back there?" Autumn asked.

"Yeah, she's just trying to get under my skin." Aria said.

I remained silent for the rest of the journey as we arrived at what looked like Crystal Prep.

"Well, Rin..." Autumn started.

The gates opened which showed the prep academy with tents and towers built on the outside.

And piles of the dead supporting the walls.

"...Welcome to Crystal Prep Academy." Aria finished.

"We need to get her back." Diamond said as she loaded her sawn-off.

"No. It's too much of a risk with-" Applejack said.

"Hey, you don't know her, okay? She was bad, but... that changed." I said.

"Rainbow's right. Kyle would say the same thing if he were here." Joel said.

"Y'all didn't let me finish. I meant it's too much of a risk without firepower. Henry knows those guys from that military outpost. Maybe they could help us." Applejack finished.

"Good idea, but where the hell are Kyle and Twilight?" I asked.

I saw people start smirking, along with Scootaloo.

"They can have romance later, who's gonna get 'em?" I ordered.

Joel stepped up.

"No, not you. I'll go." Sunset said.

"Autumn wants your head, no. Me and Firefly could go." I said.

Firefly, my girlfriend was nowhere to be seen, and we were running out of time.

"I'll go by myself, then." I said, starting to go to the gates.

"No, they wanted privacy, and they have it. I thought you people made decisions with out him. So just do it. Get my damn sister back." Diamond said.

"They'd have a cell for me after beatings when I passed out. I would be shoved in there with a toilet-bucket, a toilet paper roll, and a bottle of water for an hour. They would have a guard on the other side of the door just in case I tried to escape." I said.

I saw Twilight's horrified, saddened face for the past hour. Her tears were flooding to the table.

"I could stop you know. I told you this for the past hour." I said.

"No. I wanna hear all of it. Every. Last. Bit." Twilight said as she wiped her tears, and the table.

"Okay... After Chrysalis, I had this... feeling. A feeling of love instantly flooded by regret, knowing that, on the other side, my dad looked either in sadness or disgust at me. I couldn't take it anymore- the beatings, the imprisonment, Chrysalis's glances at me during classes... I took a kitchen knife into school with full intention on killing myself. But the zombies stopped that." I said.

That was it. Twilight got up, moved to my side, and nearly tackled me in a bear hug while loudly sobbing. I felt tears from bringing it all back up, and rested my head in her shoulder. Our sob-fest went on for what seemed like hours until Twilight stopped sobbing.

"You better?" I asked her.

Twilight nodded and we got up to get back home.

But a swarm of Walkers blocked the exit, along with the bottoms floor.

And they found the stairs.

"Go! GO! To the Fire Exit!" I said.

"They're on the bottom floor, we might be able to break out through a window." Twilight said.

"It's a straight vertical drop, we won't make it without breaking something." I said.

"Well, there's gotta be a way out of here!" Twilight said.

Twilight looked over the railing for a way out and I joined her. I noticed that the roof was broken, and rain has poured onto the rails, making them rusted.

SNAP!

Twilight fell over the rails.

I didn't think. I leaped over her as we fell, hoping my camouflage would somehow protect her, and that zombies would break our fall.

We fell to the ground, and I heard zombies' bones crack as we fell to the bottom floor. I saw zombies hovering around us, trying to eat Twilight, but failing because they can't attack me due to my Siren blood.

I thought this was it, one of them might claw into me and get to Twilight, killing us both.

Then, a miracle happened.

The zombies hovering around us... Stopped. The growls from the rest started growing quieter and quieter. I looked up, and I saw the zombies retreating, as if they heard the loudest thing around, and wanted it more than us. I noticed that the necklace that Sonata gave me now glew a piercing red.

It took a while, but all of these Walkers were gone.

"Twilight, you alri-" I was instantly, and fiercely interrupted.

By Twilight ramming her lips into mine.
