I looked out the carriage window, the clouds were very dark: it was probably going to rain. The stormy seasons were to come soon, but they had to begin today at this important date. To my left I see Fluttershy, my date. She is sleeping; it was a rough day, but it all ended in a good time at the Gala.
Jack and Rarity were also sleeping in the other side of the carriage, but I wasn’t. I had the unshakable feeling that something is going to go wrong today, and I can’t stop thinking about it. The first raindrops fell as we approached canterlot.
“Hey! Wake up.” I gently shook Fluttershy as we approached the gates.
“Hmm? Are we there yet? - She rubbed her eyes.
“Yes...” - I stared at the gates with a smirk - “Yes we are.”
“Are you all excited for this night!” - Jack said while stretching.
“Why don't you wake up your sleeping beauty?” - Jack looked at Rarity for a couple of seconds then whispered at her ear.
“Wake up, m'lady, we're here!” - Rarity slowly opened her eyes, looked around and at the window.
“Why did this day had to be so gray!” - The door opened. The rain was falling in great quantity. The view of Canterlot Castle was astonishing in the rain.
“Blame the weather patrol! Rain for, at least, a week!” - jack groaned while opening the umbrella.
“Rarity, I can’t thank you enough for making our suits for this night” - Said Mark, flaunting his suit.
“Well... making human shaped suits was a completely new challenge for me, but I couldn’t possibly let two handsome gentlemen go into an event, like this one, poorly dressed.”
It felt like being on the Hollywood red carpet. The young mares screaming for Jack. Marks public was to be found inside along with other more adult and sophisticated ponies. This was the perfect ending for a story after that long gauntlet. Soon enough 'she' would send us back to our world.
I didn’t want to think much about it, and I didn’t.
It was all going like a magical evening... until... disaster struck. The walls and ceiling exploded into a devastating cocktail of shards, debris and glass.. I grabbed Fluttershy and ran as fast as I could to the gates, in a scene of disaster and death. I got stopped by a brutal force that lead me to fall in the ground. The explosions and collapsing settled. I managed to move away the debris above me. The landscape of the ruins of Canterlot was filled with fire and grey dry specks of dust. The screaming and cries of the ponies filled the scenery. Mark stood there in shock.
“FLUTTERSHYYYYYYYYYY!”- Mark looked around, but there was no sign of her. Mark heard a muffle from under the rocks...

The sound of a Stallion’s hoovesteps echoed the office. The Stallion sat in his desk, opened a drawer and took out a blank book... he writes:

To Jack, my most loyal, and best, friend.
I am a brown colored stallion, with red eyes and golden mane with a matching tail. However, I was rather different 5 years ago: I was a human! How can that be, you ask? Well, its a long story, and I'm here to tell it to you.
I lived in San Diego, was rather poor and had a roommate called Jack. Both of us were "Bronies"
for life. We attended a shooting range under the local mall every week for practice. We lived
well, we were happy with what we had. We didn't need much money to live and that was how we liked it. Life was simple. Until that fateful day.
It was late at night I was coming back from the shooting practice, Jack didn’t want to go because
he wasn’t feeling too well, and because I was very tired I didn't waste time to change my clothing and I went to sleep with my sheriff costume with my Colt in my gun belt. I fell asleep.
I had a very strange dream, that night. I dreamed, that I was flying through the very fabric space and time.
And before I woke up I saw a very long flash, it looked like it took ages for the blinding light to dissipate.
After everything turned to normal, I awoke, and didn't recognise anything around me. I looked at my left, hoping to see jack, but he was nowhere to be found. I had never felt so scared and confused in my entire life. I jumped out of my bed, looking slowly around, and I realise I'm in a basement. I peered through the basement window and its almost daytime, I slowly walk towards the door and I check the knob. Its unlocked. "Strange how somebody is trying to kidnap me, but doesn’t lock the door." I thought to myself as I open it and I see a very beautiful nature wooden house.
A sudden explosion happened in my head; this house is very familiar, but my head isn’t allowing me to recognize it, but deep in my heart I know this place. I've seen it many many times. I slowly walk around, as not to wake up my keepers. As I walk towards the entrance I see something small near the door. A snow white bunny sleeping near the entrance, in his bed I can read “Angel”. My mind seemed to explode inside my skull, and I immediately knew where I was,
but my mind was in denial. “What if its just someone who has a bunny called Angel, or its someone who is a big fan of Fluttershy who also named his bunny Angel? But since when did bunnies sleep in beds, anyway? I didn't know what to believe, but the first thing I heard before I opened the door and ran was hearing a walking sound behind me followed by a very petite 'squee'. As I ran I didn't look back, that 'squee' was the most familiar thing I heard since I got here. I didn't know how I got here, but I'd find out.
I arrived at ville after some frantic running. I knew this ville: Its Ponyville. I could see “Sugar-Cube Corner” I could see the tree house, and even Rarity’s boutique. It was late but I saw one or two beings in the distance that looked like... horses? It can't be, it must be a children's amusement park. That would explain the garishly bright colouring, i mused. But in my mind I knew it wasn't.
I heard a scream, “Jack” I thought, after that I see him running away from the boutique.
”JACK!” - I scream
“MARK!” - he answers
As he came closer, we hugged in relieved that we are back together alive. He, too, had a million questions, but there was no time for asking since we were surrounded by what it looked like to be a crowd of My little ponies.
Chapter 1: News Flash.
Me and Jack had a surprised expression in our faces, we couldn’t believe what was happening.
Some of the ponies had angry expressions while some were confused or surprised. I could see
Fluttershy With Rainbow Dash in the back, floating above the of the crowd, Fluttershy was having a emotional breakdown, she didn’t know how to express her feelings. The mayor was the first to finally break the ice, after a few minutes of awkward staring.
“What... foul beasts, are you!?” - she asked. As I realised I was wearing my sheriff costume I tried to hide my Colt in its holster with my long shirt.
“....So?” - she continued. After a long silence she finally spoke. - “Fluttershy...could you come here?” - as she called for her, Fluttershy looked shocked, but came to us anyway purely out of fear.
“Do you know what kind of... animal these beings are?” - she asked Fluttershy.
She shook her head - “No...but, um... I saw that one...” - she said pointing at me
- “...coming out of my house, not long ago...”
“Is this true?” - The mayor asked, looking at me with a stern look.
“Yes!” - Everypony suddenly jumped in surprise to my voice, even the mayor.
“THAT FOUL BEAST WAS SLEEPING IN MY BASEMENT WITH MY JEWELS!
HE WAS TRYING TO STEAL THEM!” - Screamed Rarity from the middle of the crowd pointing to Jack.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, there lady, I wasn’t trying to steal your jewels!” - he defended himself!
“THAN WHAT WERE YOU DOING IN MY BASEMENT!?” - she accused!
“That's what we should be asking you!” - Me and Jake spoke at the same time.
“What do you mean?” - Asked the mayor.
We told our story of how we went to sleep in our house in our world and in a night we ended up here.
“So you both don't know how you got here? - the Mayor enquired.
We nodded.
“Well, since I have no choice, you i'll put you..” - she said pointing to me - “...under Fluttershy’s custody, and you...” - she points to Jack - “...are under Rarity’s custody.”
“Why me?” - Rarity asked.
“Yea, why us!... um, if you don't mind answering... of course.”
“As you confirmed, they came from your houses and if they came from there, they are staying there and that’s my final word on the subject!”
You could see the rage in Rarity's face and the somewhat cute look of fear on Fluttershy’s face as the Mayor voiced her decision. It was already was morning when our destiny’s were sealed by the Mayor. The news about us ”Aliens” as they called us, quickly spread all over Equestria, from Appleloosa and even to the faraway city of Tramplevania. Our new life had begun.
Chapter 2: Golden voice.
Rarity was very annoyed by the fact that a complete stranger to her is staying over at her house against her will: she hates strangers, but not for long because by the next day they'd already gotten really close. Jack was good at making friends quickly like that.
On that same morning, Jack came inside Rarity’s house and immediately went down to the basement,
and sat in the bed (strangely enough our beds also went on our mysterious journey to Equestria).
Rarity knew she had to give special hospitality to Jack, but he didn't look like he needed it because he was in that basement for the whole day. He was scared, he was wondering if people are missing them in their world: what if the theory of 1 day in here is 1 year in there was real?
“Don’t you want anything to eat?” - Rarity asked.
“I’m good.”
“Are you sure, I mean you people surely eat... don't you?”
“Yes, we do, but I'm just not in the mood!” - After he said it, Rarity came closer and sat in his bed besides him.
“Look if it is because of my behavior early today, I'm sorry. I didn't quite expect an... “Alien” visitor this morning.” - She said following by a giggle.
“No, I get it, you see me and Mark... We came here during our sleep against our will and it's just a shock that we ended up here in Equestria, it doesn't make sense to either of us.”
“Oh... well. Would you like me to bring you breakfast?” - She asked.
“Well, what did you make for breakfast?” - He asked.
“Quite simple, I made fried eggs with orange juice! Can you eat that?”
“I sure can!” - Jack said with a hungry smile.
“Well wonderful, I’ll bring it in a blink of an eye!” - Rarity said before she left the room.
Jack looked around and he saw something sparkle in the corner, it looked like some gems, or gold, but he wasn't sure. Turned out it wasn't, as he came closer it turned out to be a Saxophone. He jumped in happiness: it was his favourite instrument. I must say myself, he's a MASTER with that thing. He can play anything, and above that, he is a talented singer. He cleaned the instrument and tuned it and before he tried it out. Rarity came with levitating a little table with breakfast and set it down in front of me.
“Oh!I see you found that old thing.” - She said
“Yea, I used to play these a lot.” - He said with a smirk.
“My father played, too. He was amazing, but he’s too old now. Could you... play something for me?” - She coyly asked me.
“Sure!” - He answered enthusiastically, followed by a minute of thinking of what song to play. After a moment of preparation he decided to start. He chose to play the instrumental of the song “Careless Whisper” by George Michael. He played it perfectly! Possibly even better than the original player himself.
Rarity was amazed by his talent, despite not recognising the song, her pupils widened in surprise, it looked like her eye turned all black: her expression was priceless. After he finished playing, she screamed.
“BRAVO, BRAVO!” - she screamed while clapping her hooves.
Jack only smiled.
“That’s was amazing! How did you do that?” - She excitedly asked.
“Well I used to play it since I was a little boy and I've continued to play it until today!”
“Wow, is there anything else good you can do?” - Rarity asked.
“Well, I can also sing!” - Jack answered
“Well, could you possibly...?”
He nodded. Since Jack played George Michael he decided to sing George Michael, so he sang the same song he played. [Redacted, too cheesy :P] Rarity fell in love with him head over hooves. He sang that song like the professional singer he was. Rarity knew he had talent as you could see tears running down her gentle expression. She left the room leaving these words.
“E-enjoy your meal!”
Rarity went to the kitchen to eat her breakfast, she found Sweetie Belle sitting in the table devouring her meal, she looked at Rarity and asked.
“Are you OK, sis?”
“Why, yes I’m fine Sweetie Belle, I’m just surprised!” - she answered.
“Surprised? About what? Is it the Alien we're living with?”
“Yes.” - She answered annoyed.
“Did he hurt you?”
“No, he is just as normal being like all the ponies in Ponyville... except that he has a lots of talents!”
She answered while looking through the window with a philosophic expression.
“Does he have a cutie mark like ponies?” - Sweetie Belle Asked.
“No he doesn't, he's not a pony... but I wish he was.” - she answered while rushing out of the Boutique. As soon as she galloped out of the house, Jack came in the kitchen.
*ahem*
“Where’s Rarity?” - He asked.
“Oh, hi 'Alien'..” - She happily greeted Jack.
“The name is Jack! J-A-C-K!” - He said with an annoyed look.
“Sorry 'Jack', but she was talking how she wished you were a pony, and then she ran out of the house!”
Jack looked towards the doorway. He was too scared to leave, so he put the plates and glasses in the sink and went back down to the basement, and played the Saxophone for rest of the day.
Chapter 3: Once upon a time...
I was walking down the road to Everfree forest with Fluttershy. She wasn’t looking at me, not even a single word. We came close to the house. She opens the door and looks at me.
“Um.. Where are you going to stay?”
“Well if you don’t mind i'll stay in the basement, where I woke up!” - He answered.
“Woke up..?”
“Yes, if you haven’t yet found out, I was mysteriously moved into here over a night. I don't know what, but something.. or someone brought me here from another world.”
“Another... world?” - She curiously asked.
“Yes, you see, I’m not from your world. As this experience proves , the multiverse theory is correct. I come from a very bad world.” - He answers while exploring her house.
“Well.. What you mean by 'bad'?”
“You see, the towns and cities are filled with crime and bad people, I'm actually happy to leave that place. The cruelty to people and animals is...”
“Oh, My! Animal cruelty!?” - She interrupted him with shock.
“I was afraid you’d ask that. Yes, many folks are cruel to... Well, anything that moves. The only safe places are the forests and possibly farms. I shouldn’t say this to you since you're quite an animal loving pony but...”
“NO, don’t tell me!” - She interrupted him again. “I think i've heard enough...” - She said while a tear dropped from her eye. I came close to her and started petting her pink hair.
“I’m sorry you had to hear that.” - I said, feeling guilty.
“It’s ok...” - She said while wiping away her tears.
“can I... ask you something?”
“Yea, sure!” - I said after I got up from petting her.
“What you eat?”
“Well, I can eat eggs and veggies.”
“Oh, ok, ill make you something for breakfast.” - She said happily before going to the kitchen with Angel following her.
After that moment I knew she felt safe with me, but I also knew that I still had my Colt. I had to hide it so she wouldn’t find it. She will never be ready to see such a cruel weapon like that. I went to the basement. luckily the walls were made of brick so I pried one off, cleaned the dirt behind, put the colt, ammo and gun belt in it and closed it with the same brick. It wasn't the best hideout but it had to suffice for the time being. I took a book that was lying on the bed and started to write down my adventures. You must be wandering, but no: this is not the book I’m writing on right now. After a while, I hear the door opening. It’s Fluttershy holding a tray with a bowl of salad, she puts it in my tray and looks at me and my book with a curious look.
“Are you a writer?”
I just look at her with a suspicious look.
“No, It’s just a diary where I.. write some stuff!” - I answered with a untrusting tone.
“Oh, ok... enjoy your meal!”. I was afraid to tell her about my book. My shyness nearly got the hold on me, but i decided against it.
“But...” - I said before she left the basement. “I have some books about my life in the farm!” - I Happily said to her.
“You lived in a farm!? Gosh, can you tell me more about it?” - She excitedly asked.
I looked with to the food and back to Fluttershy.
“Oh, yes, umm... your eating. Right, sorry...”
I took the food tray and placed it on the nearby table. I politely asked her to get up from bed.
Upon lifting the mattress, she gasped in surprise when she saw the amount of books. I took a book in the middle of the pile named “Farm life”. I handed it over to Fluttershy and said
“Why don’t you read about it while I eat?”
She looked at the book and then at me. She took the book and nodded. I smiled, and she smiled back before leaving the basement. Not so long after, I left the basement with the tray and went to the kitchen. Before I entered the kitchen, Fluttershy was flying out of the kitchen and bumped into me, looking really excited. After she took consciousness she looked at me with excitement.
“Oh! mister I-I...”
“Call me Mark!” - I interrupted . Both of us got up and started cleaning the mess we made.
“Oh, sorry, but Mark, I loved your book! I just love how you passed your days taking care of cows, chickens and pigs. But there is something I don’t understand, why did you take care of horses? I think we can take care of ourselves.”
“Uh,Wellll...” - I had no idea how to explain that to her without breaking her heart again.
“...you see... There are no ponies like you in our world. Pegasi and unicorns are considered “Fairy Tales”. They don’t exist there.” - I took out my hat in Sympathy. I expected her to get upset at this, but the unexpected happened.
“Can I read more?” - She happily asked.
“Why sure ,silly filly, I'll give you the my second book I wrote “Farm life 2”
“YAY!” - My heart exploded when she did the exact same cheer she did in the show. “Oh, wait, I can't do it right now, I kind of have some chores to do!” - She felt sad, but my helpful personality struck.
“Nah, go and read as much as you want. I’ll take care your chores and animals.” She looked at me with a questionable expression.
“Are you sure you can handle it? I mean I have a lot of stuff to do today.”
“Of course I can, just tell me what you want me to do and I’ll do it for ya. You know I used to help my family, back in my farm, with the chores.” - I said with the utmost confidence. And that , my fellow readers, was my First day. I took care of her animals, did her chores while she read my books in the living room. By the end of the day she'd already read 16 of my books and they aren't small, either. Each one had at least 60 - 100 pages with 40 lines a page. Fast reader, she is.
She'd also started feeling safe with me since I came. At the end of the day, she usually watches the sunset from the top of her cottage. She had invited me to watch it with her, I gladly accepted her invitation. She flew me up to her roof (She struggled a bit, with her little wings) and we sat down on a bog log conveniently placed there, assumedly by her, although I don't recall it being there when I first arrived. I must say, it was beautiful. Probably even more beautiful than the sunset in our world. She was really tired, probably from all that reading, so she rested her head in my shoulder and pulled her hoof in my hand. Her cheeks were red as the sunset itself, I could knew she had feelings for me! You could tell it very easily, she was always blushing when near me. The sun was long gone, but we were still sitting there, staring at the night sky and holding 'hands'.
Chapter 4: The meeting.
That day was my most memorable day so far. I was laying in the grass at the cottage backyard. It was early morning. I was holding a stalk of wheat in my mouth and had my hat protect me from the golden bright sun. I heard the sound of hooves coming from behind, I expected it to be Fluttershy. I took off my hat and I saw a grey mare with blond mane and derpy eyed pony holding a letter in its mouth. Soon after she looked at me, drops the mail, smiles and leaves. I take a look at the letter and the first thing i see is the royal stamp. I look around and I see Fluttershy coming towards me.
“Is that a letter from Princess Celestia?” I nod while examining the sun stamp in the envelope.
“Aren’t you gonna read it?” - She asks excitedly. I nod once again. I open the letter and start reading.

“Dear Human!
I, Princess Celestia, Hereby summon you to a meeting, starting at 10 a.m., at the Library in Ponyville. Only you, your human companion, me, Princess Luna, and the keepers of the Elements of harmony: Twilight sparkle, Fluttershy, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack and Pinkie Pie and the dragon Spike are invited. You are warned! Don NOT miss the meeting.
Princess Celestia.”

“Oh, my! sounds like trouble...” - Fluttershy said with a look of worry.
“And you are invited!” -I Answered with a smile, but she was still worried about it.
“Cheer up, you silly filly! It's all gonna be fine.”
We walked down the road to the tree house, all ponies were still afraid of me but I honestly didn’t give a damn. We approached our destination just to find Jack and Rarity also coming. We meet at the entrance.
“I guess you also got the letter!” - Jack said after a big hug with mark.
“Hells yea I did, bro, so how is life in here?”
“Well it was kind of dull the first day, but I’m happy to leave the house!”
“Well, bro, should we get inside?”
“Be my guest!”
I knocked the small wooden door and got greeted by Pinkie Pie.
“HI ALIEN! I'M PINKIE PIE AND I THREW THIS PARTY JUST FOR YOU!”
“The meeting was a party? didn’t sound like it in the letter.” - I said.
“I’m sorry, it’s just Pinkie Pie’s tradition to throw a party for all newcomers.” - said twilight approaching from the back of the room.
“Please, come in and make yourselves at home.” - At least some pony isn’t quite afraid of me and Jack. It was good to have another pony to rely on.
“Princess Celestia asked to use the library – my house - for the meeting.”
“Well, where is she?” - Rarity asked. As soon as she had asked, the royal trumpets sounded in the distance.
“Well, I guess you got your answer for that.” - Jack said with some amusement. We heard a scream approach: it was Rainbow Dash, who had crashed through the window and the bookshelves.
“Ha? Am I late? Did I miss the aliens?”
“No you didn’t, silly, you're just in time for the party!!!” - Pinkie pie answered.
“But aren’t we missing Applejack?” - Twilight asked
“She said she couldn’t make it. Big harvest today, you know her.” - Rainbow dash said, with no real interest of AJ not attending the meeting. The door creaked open and standing before us was the one and only Princess Celestia. Jack didn’t look happy to see her. She greeted all of the ponies and turned her head to us. Luna was just following her and trying to learn from her big sister.
She didn’t take long to start asking.
“Do you know why I am here?
“Maybe because you invited us” - Jack was the best mind reader - “...Or maybe, you want to banish us from this world.”
There was an awkward silence. Celestia had a poker face nearly unbeatable. I hoped it was no match for Jack. I could see he was already sweating. The silent continued until Rarity broke the
ice.
“Princess, In the letter you had identified them as humans. How did you know about that?”
“According to this book. “Humans” are only some Pony tales creatures. It says they are not real.” - She supported Rarity.
“Well if they are not real, how are these guys here?” - Rainbow said staring at Celestia.
“I have been to their world!” - Everyone gasped at Celestia’s response.” Twilight, I haven’t told you about this. But there are world traveling spells. I used one before I met you. The spell opened a portal to a random world. The world that it sent me to was called “Earth” it was inhabited by these “Humans”. I managed to be unseen. their world is cursed, the cities are all dark and ugly, people are monsters, I could hear loud sounds followed by screams and animals being mutilated.”
I looked at Fluttershy as she looked at me. I started at the floor in humiliation of living in a world like that.
“No one has feelings in that world. After a day I rapidly went back to the portal and closed it.”
As her final words were spoken, Rarity spoke.
“Hey, just because they are from a very bad world, doesn’t mean they are bad. As I know, Jack
is very sentimental and talented. He is a wonderful singer and musician and I think this place is better, than their world, for him.”
“Well, Mark is also...a t-talented w-writer. I s-spent the whole day... yesterday... reading his books. They are f-full... of... feelings... and e-emotions. Are they the same thing?”
Fluttershy and Rarity were doing their best to protect me and Jack from being sent back to earth by Princess Celestia. The princess was a smart mare and she immediately noticed what was behind their behaviour. She looked at us and back to the Fluttershy and Rarity who had the biggest smiles in their faces just to try to change Celestia’s mind. After some silence Spike came from the basement holding a tower of books.
“In my opinion. It would be a cool experience if there were humans in Equestria.”
“Were you spying on us?” - Twilight asked.
“What? No, I believe I was also invited to this meeting! and plus, the basement echoes when you people talk up here, so I can hear every single word.”
Luna and Celestia were whispering something for a while until they got conclusions. Celestia spoke.
“My sister and I decided to give you both humans a chance to stay in Equestria. If I get any report from anypony that one of you have done evil deeds. I shall send you back to your world without hesitation, and erase your memories of this place.”
Jack stepped forward and said with a calm voice.
“Celestia, I swear from the bottom of my heart, I won't cause any harm to anypony or animal.”
I took from under my shirt a collar representing and showed it to Celestia.
“Princess Celestia, do you see this? This is an collar my ex-Girlfriend used to wear. She was an animal lover, She died in a protest against using animals in Medicinal Products. I was there supporting her. A policeman came with a baton, and hit her so hard, she fell to the ground and broke her neck against the side walk. I took this collar and kept it in memory of her death... I will never hurt an animal.”
I put the collar back under the shirt and stepped back. Jack also promised not to hurt an animal for the sake of his life. Luna and Celestia were whispering to each other again.
After a long silence, Celestia looked at us and said.
“We will let you stay here, but you must prove you're worthy. You have one year.”
That were her final words before leaving the treehouse. There was a long and awkward silence, maybe some of the ponies were waiting for someone to leave so they can leave behind them.
“Well, if you want to stay here, you need to do good deeds and you can start them by helping ponies.” - Twilight broke the ice.
“OH, they could help by coming with me at the Froggy Bottom Bog at my search for ingredients.”
Said Fluttershy with rare excitement.
“Wait, Why don’t we all go.” - Pinkie threw confetti in the air.
“That’s a great idea.” - Twilight said - “Let's meet at the entrance of Froggy Bottom Bog tomorrow afternoon.
Chapter 5: Guns ‘n’ Roses
“What’s that noise?” - I said walking out of the basement with a mess of disorganised hair.
“Oh, good morning, Mark. Did I wake you up?” - Fluttershy wondered.
“Well, I did woke up to a crashing sound. Did something crash ‘round here?”
“No I was feeding the critters, and the food bag tumbled the flower stand.”
“That explains the shards and the broken flower stand...do you want help with cleaning?”
“Oh no no no, you don’t have to. I mean its a lot of work.”
“Don’t exaggerate, its only some shards, plus I can fix the flower stand leg in no time.”
After cleaning the shard, I went back into the basement and took a hammer and some nails I saw in a toolbox. It didn’t take long to fix it. A nail here and there and, BOOM, done. I helped her around the house until early afternoon. She readied her saddle bag and called for me. I got back from the basement and left the house with her.
We met the other ponies at the entrance of “Froggy Bottom Bog”. It was very foggy.
“So, are we all ready?” - Twilight sparkle asked excited for the little trip.
“Wait we are missing someone.” - Rainbow Dash said.
“WAIT FOR ME!” - Said a faraway voice. We could see the pony figure coming from the fog. It’s Applejack running, it looked like she didn’t stop running all the way from “Sweet apple acres”, she was sweating and struggling to breath.
“Ok... now.... we are ready.” - Gasped Applejack.
“Ok, let’s move!” - Said Jack.
We walked inside “Froggy Bottom Bog”. The fog settled down, but the road was muddy due to the humidity of the fog. The place was full of swamp creatures and Fluttershy was more interested in the animals than in the ingredients, but the list was being filled.
“Is that a croc other there?” - Applejack asked looking in the distance.
“Why don’t you ask, Mark?” - Said Jack.
“Or why don’t you ask Fluttershy?” - Said Pinkie Pie - “She knows almost all of the creatures in Equestria!"
“I don’t seem to recognise that crocodile!” - Fluttershy sadly said.
“That’s an American Alligator, not a Crocodile, I’ve seen many of those. It’s hard not to recognise because they have a broad snout, unlike crocodiles, who have thinner snouts.” - I said with the teacher rhythm.
“If they are called American, that means they come from someplace called... Ameri-something?” - Twilight asked me.
“Yes, they come from America, usually from mississippi.”
“Never heard of this America?” - Applejack said while munching on of her apples
“Well, it’s a country from our world and...”
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH” - Rarity screamed, pointing to the creature across the wide river, with horror.
“That is a Hydra! Am-I-right Mark?” - Jack asked me sarcastically.
The hydra was coming close. It ambushed them, they had nowhere to go. I looked around and said- “Stay here, I’ll find a way.”
“ARE YOU CRAZY! There is no way to go!” - Twilight said
“Trust me!”
I Climbed the mud wall behind them, it didn’t take me long to get at top. I looked behind me, and the hydra was getting really close, I had to hurry, I had to get near it safely and that ledge other there is the best place. I ran through the dense foliage in the direction of the ledge. It was so dense I almost fell down to my death. The Hydra was right in front of me, but it was paying attention to the others. I took the biggest rock I found in the floor and tossed it against one of the heads. The closest head looked at me. one thing I remember is that “the eye is the easiest gateway to the brain”. I opened my jacket and took my Colt out and pointed to the eye of the Hydra's head.
In that instant I hear screams.
“MAAAAAAAAARK!” - I didn’t have time to check who it was. A shot rang out. It all felt like was going in slow motion, I have never shot a gun to a living being, only to paper models in the shooting range. I saw the bullet itself penetrate the eye and into the brain, I got the far left head, but as the head died all of the rest died. The hydra fell into the shallow water. I killed a living being, I was shaking of fear. I heard another scream.
“MARK!” - I turned around and ran away. I came closer to the cottage, I went straight to the basement and hidden the Colt in its place. after putting the last brick, the door opens. I expected the whole gang to show up, but it was only Jack.
“Did Fluttershy let you in?” - I asked
“Yes, she fought I would I should go talk to you. Man, I have to tell you something really important”
“What?”
“Fluttershy is injured.”
“WHAT?! HOW?”
“After you climbed the wall she tried to fly up to go with you, but the hydra threw a boulder that got her. She is very injured, bro. She is at the Hospital right now... I think you should go see her.” - Jack went up the stairs to leave, but said something else.
“Oh, dude, you should bring angel. He should be good for moral support for Fluttershy.”
He left the basement. I sat down for a couple of minutes and got up to go see her.
“Angel? ANGEL!” - I couldn’t find the damn bunny - I went without him.
The Hospital wasn’t too far from the cottage, but it felt like ages to get there. At last I got there “Ponyville Hospital”. I went inside to get greeted by Jack.
“Ha, you finally came....where is Angel?” - asked while looking around me.
“I couldn’t find him!”
“Oh well, we can bring him later. Now, should he go see her?”
I nodded. We went to the room 15 where she was hospitalized. We entered the room, it was filled with balloons and confetti. laying in the bed was Fluttershy... she was asleep, the whole groups was there. Rainbow Dash was the first to greet.
“*gasg* Mark, thanks for saving us from the Hydra, I could beat it by myself but thanks anyways”
“Thanks for helping us, Mark, if it wasn’t for you we would have been dead.” - Applejack added.
“YEA, if it wasn’t for you I would never throw a party again.” - Said pinkie followed by Rarity.
“Darling, thank you very much from saving me from such.”
“Yes, it ended well, but I still can’t figure how you killed a Hydra with a single stone.” - Twilight questioned me.
I had no idea what to say about the Colt. As I was about to say anything Jack interrupted.
“*ahem*... It must had been a lucky shot into the eye.... maybe it just passed out. Anyways, who would miss a killing machine like the Hydra.”
“Yes... I guess you are right.”
The ponies were about to leave the room. I told them I would stay a little longer. Jack asked if I would like him to stay but I asked to be alone. I was alone in the room with Fluttershy. I took a rose off my jacket. The rose was there, in the pot, on the nightstand by her bed. I have no idea how long I have been there. Doctor Stable asked me to leave due to the visiting time being over.
“How long will she stay here, doc?”
“Well, she has broken her left side hooves and broke her left wing in 7 different places and because of that she will stay here for at least 1 month.”
“What about at max?”
“I can’t tell you that, it’s not of my knowledge, I’m sorry.”
“I understand. *sigh*”
I left the hospital and trudged my way to the carousel boutique to see jack and deliver the news.
*knock* *knock*
Jack opened the door and happily greeted.
“Hey! Look who’s here... how you doing, buddy?”
“Not so well man... I have to talk to you!”
“Come inside.”
We went to the kitchen where Rarity and Sweetie Belle were having dinner.
“Why, hello, Mark! I didn’t expect you showing up.” - Rarity greeted
“And I didn’t expect catching you eating dinner.” - I answered
“Grab a seat and I’ll serve you a plate.”
“Well, if you don’t mind.”
“Not at all, It’s my pleasure.”
I sat down in the only available chair and got served a plate of grilled eggplant with Caesar salad. Pretty fancy and looking delicious. Rarity looked excited and asked me.
“So, did the doctor say anything about poor Fluttershy.?”
“She broke her left hooves and her left wing in 7 different parts. She is going to stay there for at least a month.”
“Oh, my, we’ll all make sure to visit her once in awhile.” - Rarity spoke.
“Hey, sister, can I go see Fluttershy too?”
“Well, Sweetie Belle....sure why not, but you’ll have to be really careful when near her. You don’t want to give more pain than she already has.” - Rarity warned.
“Well, this was a great dinner. Thanks again, Rarity, I’ll be on my way to the cottage.”
“Safe travels, Mark!”
“Goodbye, Mark!”
“See ya tomorrow, bro!”
Chapter 6: Instantaneously, the year passed...
1st month - This was the worst month I had to go through. I had to take complete responsibility on the cottage, due for her being hospitalized. Everyday I would visit Fluttershy at the hospital... and every time I brought a rose from her garden and added to the forming bouquet on the nightstand. We usually talked... we talked about Ponyville or about what happened at “Froggy bottom bog”, she asked me what I did to the hydra... but I remained in silence. Jack was always there for me, at times like that. Our “bromance” was stronger then ever. We were born neighbors, grew up neighbors, at the age of 21 we combined our savings for an apartment to live as roommates and back to neighbors.
2nd month - In the last day of her staying at the hospital I went to her room and took the flowers. I made some preparations for her return, with the help of angel and Pinkie Pie. Angel was excited to see her after so much time. The day of her return has finally come!!! She was finally discharged from the hospital after that long, long month. Outside the hospital doors, a crowd of ponies were cheering for Fluttershy as she came out of the hospital. The way home was peaceful trip at sunset. Fluttershy opened the door and gasped in surprise as she looked around the room... the “welcome back” sign, the balloons and the flowers. I got the bouquet from under the sign and gave it to her.
“Everyday I went to visit you and every time I would bring one of the roses from your beautiful garden. Yesterday, I went to your room and grabbed this from the nightstand and added this white rose in the middle. And now, here you have it.” - She was speechless. She didn’t expect any of this. She smiled and asked.
“Did Pinkie make all of this?”
“Pinkie, Angel... and me.” - She hugged me and whispered - “Thanks you so much!!!”
3rd month - The most life changing moments happened at that time... things that changed our lives to the best . It all Started when jack came to see me... he had great news!
“Howdy, my favorite bro of all time!”
“You sound very happy!”
“Indeed I am, Mark... may I come in?”
“Of course you can, man... step inside”
We sat down in the couch as Fluttershy came down the stairs and joined us to listen to what Jack had to say.
“How you doing, girl?” - Jack asked Fluttershy.
“My wing still hurts a bit, but the rest is fine.”
“Keep strong, girl. Now... let’s talk about me and why I am here. As my best bud already knows, I am a great singer...”
“Really? Can you sing a little... that is if you don’t mind...?!”
“I don’t have to! Because you are going to hear my voice a lot!” - He smiled with the biggest of happiness, like a little kid that got a dog or a fire truck for christmas.
“No way, bro! Is that what I think it is?...” - Jack nodded - “... Congratulations, man!!! I’m so happy for you.” - I stood up, hugged him and cheered for him.
“What happened?” - Fluttershy asked with a deep curiosity. Jack looked at her and screamed.
“I got a two year contract with the ‘Equestrian Music Company’!!!”
“How?” - I said with Fluttershy.
“Rarity... she sent a letter to a friend of hers. It was Vinyl Scratch, herself, who came to see me! Rarity called her to show off my talents. So I sang some songs and she took off her shades in amazement and called the head of EMC and he personally came to see me. At first he didn’t want to accept me due for me to being... human, but I sang anyways and he loved my performance, and asked me to sign the contract. After that, I gave Rarity the oppertunity to be my agent since she was nice enough to fulfill my life dream.” - Jack smiled but you could see a couple of tears running down his face.
“That's great news, bro!”
“But.. why are you crying?”
“Tears of happiness, Fluttershy... after all that struggle I finally got someone who enjoyed my music enough, to make me a contract. I was never accepted in any company in my world... same old excuses. ‘We have many like you.’ or ‘We can’t have you right now.’ and I owe this to lovely Rarity.”
4th month: Jack released his first album “Songs From Another World”. It was a simple album where he sang famous tunes from our world. He only made one concert yet, but it was a success. Tickets sold out instantly, the number of fans grew every minute... He was one of the most famous being in this world in 1 month. I couldn’t be prouder of him, but this was my month. A book festival came to ponyville and I decided to pay a visit. In the festival there was a this little shack with the words “Become a Writer”. I took a moment to look at the shack and stood there for some time, but I went inside. I was greeted by a stallion.
“Greetings, I am Magic Quill and you must of the humans who got here. Say, are you interested in being a writer?”
“indeed I am, Mr. Quill.”
“Please, simply call me Quill. Now, before anything... have you ever written anything before?”
“Yes, I have.”
“How much?”
“75 books with 50 pages each” - Quill had to hold his monocle in place with surprise.
“I’m sorry, how many?”
“75.”
“and how old are you?”
“I am 27 years old.”
“Oh my, this is wonderful, honestly, it’s not all because of the amount of books.” - Quill looked lost ins a sea of words. - “...What are the themes of your books?”
“Err... two of them are simple fictional stories, while the rest are diaries.”
“Oh, yes... quite. My good sir, stay right where you there. I won’t take long.” - He looked overly excited. After a couple of minutes, he came back with a couple more ponies, 3 stallions and a mare.
“This is the one I was telling you about! Mister... err...?
“Mark.”
“Ah, yes. Mister Mark, let me introduce you to Green Flow, biologist; Dust settler, Historian;
Dr.goggles, scientist and Blank Parchment, the author of the Daring doo. Very famous author she is... trust me.”
“nice to meet y’all.”
“Now Mark, could we ask you for a time or a day for a meeting?” - They seemed to be most interested in me. They had the worst smiles I ever saw, the greed overlapping their expression and the salty sweat running down their greedy faces, but I decided to feed their greediness. I’m just a nice guy.
“Well... today... I am here with a friend to see the festival... so... how ‘bout tomorrow?”
“Perfect, perfect... perfect...errrr... great. How about we meet you at the Canterlot train station?”
“Yes... sounds like a plan.”
And so, at early morning I left for Canterlot. They seemed very fascinated with me.
It seemed like I was back at school at a day full of pop quizzes. They were asking about everything... My anatomy, my history, the history of my planet, my planet’s science, physics, chemistry and more. Sometimes I thank myself for being ACE in all the subjects. After all that, Quill asked me to send him my books for study and for me to write more about my world. After I sent him my books, Blank Parchment privately contacted me, warning me, that they just wanted knowledge. She also said I had a gift when it comes to writing and she wanted me to write stories and send them to her and so I did. It didn’t take too long for my name to stick in the industry of writing. My books today are scattered around the world and I sell copies everyday. All I have to do is sit at my desk... and write. It was always my dream to entertain people and I will never stop until the day i die.
5th month. Jack and Mark, the most famous and the only humans in ALL Equestria. What can I say, we got pretty famous, pretty fast. Not only we, but so did Rarity and Fluttershy. Rarity was a fashion designer of “Haute Couture”. Her fame rocketed after Jack found his fame. Fluttershy opened a animal daycare center and started doing research of her own, today she is the Zoologist of the year. I couldn’t be prouder of them.
6th - 11th month.
There is not much to be said. Our lives just flew by in a blink of an eye. Jack got his 2nd album, did 4 concerts and won several awards. I wrote two, fat books named “The Human Encyclopedia” that was split into two volumes and 5 stories, that all got to the top of the book charts. We immediately got tickets for the G.G.G (Grand Galloping Gala). Four tickets was what we got, and four tickets were enough.
Chapter 7: The mark of destiny.
“Nothing has a happy ending,
but nothing has a sad ending.”
In the last chapter, I only did a long story-short of my life in Equestria... BUT THIS CHAPTER... is what’s most important. This chapter was what I wanted to write about, but without the backstory,
most ponies wouldn't understand my pain and probably WOULDN’T EVEN CARE.

The angry stallion punched the desk in hate and laid his head on the table. He laid there for a long time while quietly crying. he stood up and walked around the room. he stopped at a picture on the wall of him and Jack and stood there... staring at the picture. He, again, punched the wall in anger and sat on the floor. It seemed like hours, but he once again stood up, cleaned his tears and sat back in his desk. He ripped off the page where he expressed his hate, stored it in one of the drawers and restarted the chapter.

“FLUTTERSHYYYYYYYYYY!”- Mark looked around, but there was no sign of her. Mark heard a muffle from under the rocks. I started digging. I dig and dig and dig until I see someone... it wasn’t Fluttershy, but Bon Bon screaming in pain and agony. I took her and moved her into a safe place. As I digged I found more ponies, but I couldn’t find her.
“MARK!” - Jack screamed my name.
I ran towards him and he started to dig. I came to where he was and I saw Fluttershy passed out. I freed her from the debris above her to see an awful sight; she had a metal wire penetrating her stomach. I got on my knees, hugged Fluttershy’s head and cried. Jack sat by me, held my shoulder and said.
“Don’t worry man, she is gonna be fine.”
“No... she won’t...she has a freaking wire sticking out off her back.”
“If she is lucky, the wire missed the organs, she is gonna be fine, trust me.”
I looked at him for an instance and hugged him.
“Thanks man... you truly are there for me... always.”
The rest of the day we were digging for more survivors. There were a lot of injured and 22 deaths, Magic Quill beeing one of them. It was news for a couple of months. Fluttershy was again hospitalized, this time for 3 months. Every time I went to see her … I had the bad luck to find her asleep or in coma. I felt deeply inside that I loved her. Rarity was also hit by the debris and the following story was the last story Jack ever told me.
Rarity was hospitalized and Jack went to see her, Rarity has never been hospitalized and it was her biggest fear. She was begging for Jack not to leave her alone in the hospital.
“Please, don’t leave, I hate hospitals... it’s not a place for me.”
“Don’t worry, Doctor said its only a diagnosis and if nothing happened to you, you’ll be free to go in two days.”
“Will, you stay with me?”
“Rarity, you have a little sister alone in the boutique, and I have to stay there to take care of her.”
“Thank you, Jack.” - Jack stood up to leave the room, but was stopped by Her.
“Jack, wait... there is something I have to tell you.” - Jack turned around and sat besides her bed.
“What is it?”
“I... I...” - Rarity had a hard time expressing her feelings. Closed her eyes, looked away and said.
“I love you.” - There was a big silence and jack replied.
“I love you too.” - And they kissed.
Jack and I were once again called by Princess Celestia by the end of the month. This time we had to meet her in the throne room at Canterlot. When we got there, the room was filled with ponies, it looked like a judgment room: and it was. Princess Celestia spoke.
“A year has passed since you appeared in our world. And today, you are going to be judged.”
We had no idea what was happening. We sat down in the indicated spots while Celestia gave her speech.
“These humans, exactly one year ago, have magically appeared in our world. They lived in a horrid, bad, corrupted and unacceptable world. All humans are evil and corrupted and they don’t deserve to live in our world...” - Jack started quietly laughing. - “... What’s so funny?”
“So, according to what you said, your world is perfect? You are saying all humans are bad and pitiless? Well, lemme tell you this.” - Jack stood up and said. - “Our world is very close to your world.” - A gasp of a thousand ponies filled the room.
“QUIET AND SIT DOWN.” - Luna screamed.
“No... I won’t. It’s true our world is greedy, bad, horrible imperfect. BUT EVERYTHING HAS A GOOD SIDE... everything has a reflection on the mirror. NOTHING HAS A HAPPY ENDING, BUT NOTHING HAS A SAD ENDING. Many humans in our world try to stop the government who is corrupting our land. Rich countries not giving money to the poor. We live in the world slowly corrupting... Just like yours!”
“HOW DARE YOU...” - Luna screamed once again to get interrupted by Jack.
“Isn’t that true? CANTERLOT GOT HALF DESTROYED BY AN ACT OF TERRORISM.”
“What is this 'Terrorism'?” - Celestia asked.
“See?? your world is entering corruption. Terrorism is when a person... or in this case a pony destroys a landmark in attempt to kill a certain number of ponies. And if you don’t know what Terrorism is and it's happening... Your world is being corrupted with envy and Pitiless ponies.” - Princess Celestia and the ponies around the room where astonished by his speech as he sat back down.
Celestia continued. “As I was saying, their world is corrupted with horrible people.” - Jack was about to explode in hate. - “but these humans proved me wrong.” - Jack's anger settled as he looked at Celestia with a questionable expression. - “They lived with us for one year and were never accused of anything from anypony. They are today loved by a gigantic number of ponies. They helped in the canterlot disaster saving a large number of survivors. And now, I decided with Princess Luna to make a Soul Transferring.” - The room filled with mumbles of ponies asking themselves or other ponies, 'what is this soul transferring?'. Celestia clapped her hooves twice and two ponies that were clearly biologists entered with a rolling table with a red blanket covering something. - “These biologist have created two bodies in their lab for this occasion.” - She turned her head to the humans and asked. - “This is a simple but yet very dangerous spell. I can transfer your souls to the bodies of these ponies. Again, it's a very dangerous procedure... Do you want this?”
Jack looked at me and back to Celestia. I was as confused as he was, I looked at Celestia and asked.
“Why? Why do you want to do this?”
“You have proven yourselves, and proven to us that humans are not all bad. That’s why.”
“Can we take a moment to think about this?”
“Absolutely.”
Jack and I started whispering about this procedure and how it could affect our lives. Jack asked
“What will happen if the procedure fails?”
(!!)
“The only way to fail this is by having the soul abandon the procedure. If it does, your soul will wander around eternally with no way to get it back.” - Jack looked at me and nodded in question. I nodded back and said.
“We will do it, But what will happen to our bodies?”
“They will be frozen and preserved.”
It was the moment of the transferring. Rarity ran towards Jack and asked him.
“Are you sure you want to do this?”
“Yes, I’m sure, I want to be with you. But you have to promise me something.”
“Cross my heart... and hope to fly. Stick a cupcake in my eye.”
“Whatever happens to me, continue your life like I only went back to my world... just please... don’t do anything stupid.” - He couldn’t hold his tears and hugged Rarity.
The procedure was happening. We laid down in the ground and closed our eyes and gave the last brohoof. I only remember a White, Long Flash, followed by cries and a beeping sound.
I woke up, I was dizzy. I was hospitalized, I saw 2 ponies around me. 1 took a flashlight and pointed the light to my eyes and said.
“pupil reactions stable... he's woken up.” - the other pony came to me and asked.
“How are you feeling?”
“I am dizzy... where am I?”
“Ponyville Hospital, do you feel anything different?”
“Fur.”
“Yes, the transferring of your soul was a success.”
“So I am a pony now?”
“Yes, try to stand up”
I took a look at my hooves, the fur was brown colored. I tried to stand up, but fell in my hooves. The different perspective of a pony was something for me to get used to. I slowly walked to the mirror to see how I looked. I had a golden mane and red eyes. I turned back and asked.
“Where is Jack!” - The doctors had a forever lasting silence. - “He... didn’t make it... did he?” - the doctor shook his head in gloom. - “No, no no no no no, NO! This can’t be. Where is he?”
“Room 154.”
I galloped to the room, I started to remember our moments we had when we were young, when we moved to our apartment and when my first girlfriend died, Jack was there for me. I got to the room and bust opened the door. Rarity was sitting besides him crying on his chest. She looked at me in fright, once she realized it was me, she calmed down and said.
“He didn’t make it.”
“I know, they told me.”
Several months passed. I was at the cottage reading the newspaper. Apparently, it was Lyra who bombed Canterlot in attempt to kill me and jack. She said in an interview that when we came she went crazy, because no one gave her credit for her belief about humans, and she wanted to kill us in hope of everything going back to normal. I closed the paper and threw it at the coffee table. Angel came to me and started jumping and pointing the door. I looked and heard hoovesteps. The door slowly opened and a silhouette of a mare could be seen. After close inspections, it was Fluttershy with the rest of the mane six for exception of one member. She had cast around the zone where she was hit by the wire and she could hardly walk. She looked at me. At first she didn’t recognise me, then she asked.
“Mark? is that you?” - She hardly spoke.
“Yes.” - She ran towards me, hugged and I hugged her back.
“What happened to you?”
“While you were hospitalized, Celestia gave Mark a choice to be a pony.” - Twilight answered
“Why did you accept it? - Fluttershy asked me.
“Because I love you and I want to be with you.” - She looked at me with interest.
“You did that for me? B-because you love me?”
“Yes, I endangered my life to become a pony, because that is the only way you could accept me.” - I looked away. She sat by me and said.
“Mark, I love you too and whatever you are human or not... I’ll still love you.”
The other ponies just stood there looking at us. Fluttershy looked at them and gave a cute smile. She then realised.
“What happened to Rarity?”
“Err... long story actually, we will leave you two alone and Mark should tell you the story. Soo... bye.”
As they left the house, she looked at me. I started crying and said-
“I’m sorry about this, But... when I did the soul transferring... Mark wanted to do it for the same purpose... to be with Rarity. But his soul escaped... and he is gone now. Rarity Cried over his dead body in the hospital. I was there with her, she then told me she was going to leave ponyville.”
“What? Why did she leave ponyville?!”
“She didn’t want to explain... she simply said... she had to see someone. She closed the boutique and asked Applejack to take care of Sweetie Belle. Then she wandered into the everfree forest, only leaving a note saying she did. We ran in the forest looking for her, but no one seemed to know where she was. We considered her dead, her funeral was the same day as Jack’s and we buried them both side by side.”
Our lives continued until today. I married Fluttershy, we had kids, we bought a new home for us and we lived happily ever after; that's how all stories are supposed to end

“One more for my collection.” - He said.
“Honey, dinner is ready.” - Fluttershy came down the stairs.
“Hold on, dear... I’ll be right there.” - Fluttershy went back up as the stallion approached a display case, where inside you could see a white letter with a sun stamp and a empty revolver. He took the revolver and took a look around it.
“Oh, Jack... why did you leave so soon?”
