Thousands of years before the birth of the Royal Pony Sisters, another kingdom existed on the continent now called Equestria. The fall of this Kingdom brought about a great darkness that spread across the land. In this darkness, six shining lights are born, Kindness, Honesty, Laughter, Generosity, Loyalty and Magic. These lights shine out from the hearts of six ponies piercing through the darkness, becoming beacons of hope for this world ravaged by chaos. This is their story.
