“Holyshitthathurts.” The first words spoken by an unknown being sprung forth, proclaiming to any and all that it had absolutely no idea what was going on. This being of course was a human. The human was a male. He had mid-length, dark brown hair with dirty blond highlights around the top and edges. He had semi-wide shoulders and hips. His legs were thick, while his arms were only slightly above average size. He was around 5’10”, and his legs accounted for around fifty-five percent of his height. He had average sized ears, a slightly larger than normal nose, and semi-small lips. From the look of his build, he appeared to be around nineteen years old. The clothes he wore were nothing special, a thin hoodie over a t-shirt, a loose, well-worn pair of jeans with no belt, and a pair of sneakers with fading tread.
“Ugh, my head.” He said, lifting up a hand to rub a particularly painful area near his ear. As the human looked around, he noticed that he was lying on a large patch of flowers in the middle of a field. One turn of the head procured a dense, dangerous looking forest. Another in the opposite direction allowed what appeared to be a mass of lumps it the middle of a valley to be seen.
“Where am I?”
A quick glance upwards revealed that it was just about midday in…wherever. Suddenly, another though crossed his mind. “Shit, who am I?!”
He thought quickly, so as to avoid a panic attack. “Let’s see, uh…Trevor? No…wait, Zachary?” The human became more and more desperate as he continued to not be able to figure out his own name.
“Dagan? No, that’s not right. Cole? No, that’s not it either, fuck!”
The human began to rock back and forth in a silent rage. “Why. Can’t. I. Remember. My. Name?!” Finally, he fell onto his back, letting out a large sigh.
“How am I supposed to be able to do anything if I don’t even remember my own name?” He half whispered, half yelled. “I won’t be able to greet people, because how are you supposed to say hi to people if you can’t answer them when they ask what your name is? And if you tell them you don’t know what your name is, they won’t believe you. And then they’ll think you’re lying to them, and then they’ll hate you because people hate liars, and then the whole world will think you’re a liar, and I don’t want to go through that!”
The last word in the tirade was punctuated by the human slamming his fist into the ground. Suddenly, a voice whispered through the trees.
“You are Sean.”
The human sat up, and looked around. “Hello, who’s there?” he called out. The voice did not answer back.
“So…that’s what my name is…” The human stated. His face betrayed a hint of doubt, but only for a brief moment. “Alright, Sean it is.”
Finally calmed down, Sean gazed upwards, noticing that there was hardly a cloud in the sky. The ones that were, however, seemed to not be moving at all, despite a steady breeze blowing. Regardless, the small piles of fluff did nothing to halt the journey of the sun’s glorious rays from the sky to the ground. He also noticed that the sun was nearing its zenith in the sky, almost ready to take its place as the ruler of the daytime sky. The only thing that could rival its beauty was the moon at night.
“OK, I have a while before the sun sets; maybe I should have a look around, but first...” Sean did a quick survey of his body, making sure to see if anything was out of place. Finding nothing too life threatening, just some minor scrapes and bruises along his ankles and hands, he decided to stand up and start walking.
“Let’s see…” He wondered as he scratched his chin. “Which way, which way?” Looking left, he saw a large, dense, very dangerous looking forest, which seemed to have multiple pairs of eyes staring back at him, most of them looking hungry. To the right, a large patch of dark lumps was sitting in the middle of a small valley. Up ahead, a massive mountain jutted out of the ground, a pool of smoke and ash swirling around its peak. Behind him, Sean saw only an endless expanse of plains, going on as far as the eye could see. After looking in all four directions one last time, he made his decision.
“Right it is, I’ll take weird lumps over spooky forest any day.” So he set off, determined to find out where he was, and how he had arrived here.

Is he finally gone? A voice asked itself, before looking around to make sure the human had left for good. “Thank goodness; I thought that was going to take forever”
*POP*
“Oh well, I guess beggars can’t be choosers.” The voice stated as it snapped its fingers to stop being invisible, revealing an elongated, serpent-like body. The odd thing about the creature was that, the only places it had scales were its tail and right leg. The other leg appeared to be from a goat, while its arms were an eagle claw and a lion’s paw. It had two wings on its back, one, fluffy and covered with feathers, much like a bird. The other was more akin to a bat’s. The strangest thing about it though, was its head, which was shaped like a horse, but had two horns sprouting out of the top, one antler and one goat horn.
“Good, go cause a little chaos, my little human, do it for your old pal discord.” The draconiquus said menacingly before cackling with glee.

The walk to the patch of lumps was a fairly uneventful one, as the only thing that happened was the occasional animal popped out of its hole to see what was passing by. As Sean neared the mass of lumps in the distance though, he realized that they were not lumps at all, but were in fact buildings, meaning that a town must be nearby!
“I wonder if they’ll be able to tell me how I got here.” He said as he ran down the road. Stopping, he saw a large sign that started on one side of the road, arched, and landed on the other side.
“Ponyville huh?” Sean asked nobody in particular, as he stared up at the sign. “That’s a weird name for a town. Maybe they really like ponies?”
And so our protagonist walked across the bridge leading into Ponyville, not yet aware of the trials he was about to endure.
