Chapter 1: What Happened Again?

It had all happened so fast. He didn't even realize he was a Pegasus until he couldn't open the door with his hands since they were hooves. ZaneWolf looked around, trying to think of how he had gotten here, better yet how he had become a Pegasus rather than a human. When he tried to think back he could recount the day up to a point, but anything past that and his head began to writhe in pain. Wolf decided not to think about that, as he should try to recount the day. He wanted to see if there were any clues left behind explaining what had happened to him.

"Where do I begin?" Wolf said out loud to himself, hoping that no one could hear him. "Think. What did you do first, Wolf?"

Well the best place to start would have to be when he first woke up. Yeah, today started out like any other day, but it felt off for some reason. Wolf couldn't place it, so he pushed the feeling aside and went about his usual routine. Wolf got into the shower, cleaned off, got out of the shower, and dried himself off. Going back to his room to get dressed, he opened his closet and picked out his usual outfit. A gray hoodie that had his cutie mark in Equestria on it; the cutie mark was an onyx colored wolf with red eyes and sharp fangs.  He pulled out a pair of red jeans and a pair of dark purple skater shoes. ZaneWolf himself was a stark white with short, spiked, blood red hair.

As Wolf left his room, he grabbed his knapsack and a pair of shades. Heading into his kitchen, Wolf looked through his pathetic collection of breakfast cereals and decided he would rather have an apple instead. Wolf found this to be quite strange, for he never felt like having anything but cereal in the morning. He pushed the thought away and decided to head out to Dashes house. It was out of the way from school, but it was worth it to see Dash; she always cleared his mind.

Ah Dashie, how he loved to hang out with her. She was the most amazing girl he had ever met. Dash was perfect in every way he could think of; her rainbow hair that always seemed to flow perfectly without trying, her attitude told you 'don't mess with me or i'll show you up.' Everything about her was amazing. Wolf had finally decided to ask her to go out with him, even though Wolf had thought no girls liked him.

Wolf wasn't a bad looking guy, having stark white skin, blood red hair that always fell right into place, even when he didn't comb it. He had decent looking onyx purple eyes that glistened when the sun when they were hit just right. Despite all of that, Wolf had always fallen short when it came to talking to girls. Sure, he could talk to them as a friend, but when Wolf tried to get out his feelings for the girl, he always fell short. Heck! It had taken him three weeks of built up the courage to just ask Dash a simple messed up sentence. That awkward conversation was worded something like:

"Uh... Dash? I was, um, just wondering... if you wouldn't m-mind... would you possibly, be my g-girlfriend?" After that, Wolf had felt like hiding from the world in the nearest trashcan.

What came next was a surprise to him. "Finally you ask. You have been acting all weird for like...ever." She said in a slightly annoyed tone. Wolf's heart sank. "To answer your stammered question..." she paused for effect. "Yes! I have been waiting for you to ask me." she said hugging him.

As Wolf rounded the corner to go to Dashes house, he remembered what he had forgotten earlier. He needed to tell Dash about the rumor that was going around. Wolf knew it wasn't the truth; He would never stoop to such levels. Especially now that he had Dash. Rumor has it that Pinkie and him had kissed after lunch a few days ago. He hadn't even seen Pinkie that day. Was someone trying to frame him? But who? And why? Why would they want to make his life a living hell and ruin his newly formed relationship with Dash? Wolf had no enemies, that he knew of anyways. Heck! The only person he could think of that would do something that evil was Sunset Shimmer, but she was reformed. Did he hurt someone without realizing it? They should have confronted him directly instead of starting these stupid rumors.

The next thing Wolf remembered was walking to school with Dash. Even though she was mad at me for forgetting to tell her about the rumor, she forgave me. After that, we held hands and walked, talking on our way to school. It was a normal day up until he couldn't remember anything. The school bell had gone off, but Wolf thought he had twenty more minutes to finish up the last of his report. He had to finish it because it was due second period. That is the furthest he could remember when the pain decided to rear its face again, sharper than before.

That brought him to where he was now, alone in a room, of what looked like a castle. Wolf decided that he should probably look for help, but who could he ask? It's not like this was a mirror reality where all the people he knew were here and would be willing to help him in a heart beat. But not looking for help was not an option either because he wanted more than anything to go home, see his Dashie, and snuggle with her.

So, with much effort, he bucked the door open to find that he was in a castle. He stared out at an empty hall. He decided to head down into the dimly lit hallways to find an exit. Wolf felt like he had been walking for a century before opening a door that led outside, and what he saw he wasn't prepared for. There were ponies, and pegasi, and unicorns of all different colours. What was this place? Why was he here? Who sent him here? And who made it so he couldn't remember? Wolf decided to not worry about it until he found some one that could use a magic spell to fix him. So Wolf decided to start asking some of the ponies a few questions.

After about what seemed like an hour of questioning dozens of ponies, all he had deduced was that he was in Canterlot, the capital of Equestria. What should he do next now that he knows where he is? Maybe he should try to find one of his friends from back home?  Maybe if this place was also called Canterlot, maybe it was similar to his school.

Where should he start? He didn't know his way around. He began to wander around, trying to decide what to do. Then he saw someone familiar to a human he knew...
