Twiiiiilight!!” “What is it, Pinkie?” The purple pony turned around to face Pinkie Pie, who had, as always, barged into her library unannounced. “Can I borrow a book?” she asked, using that silly smile of hers. “Oh... Alright Pinkie,” she sighed, “Just... Just don’t mess anything up, okay? I’m going to Sugarcube Corner for a while to visit with the Cakes and the twins. I’ll expect everything just like this when I’m back.” “Okey dokey lokey! You can count on me, Twilight!” Pinkie bounced into the middle of the library, right as Twilight trotted out the door. She looked around at all the books, a bit surprised at how many books Twilight really had. “Ooooh! This one looks cool!” she squeaked as she ran over to one shelf. She grabbed a book in her mouth and set it on the ground, flipping through the pages. Of course, Pinkie had grabbed a book of unicorn spells. “A teleportation spell for earth ponies?! Neat-o!!” Pinkie’s smile grew, as she’d never heard of spells for earth ponies before. Slowly, she recited what was on the worn page. Then, as if Ponyville itself had been picked up by a tornado, the whole room started spinning. Like that, Pinkie went unconscious, which was unusual for a pony of her level of oddness. She stayed out for quite a while, until finally, she awoke to the sound of voices. “Keith, what’ve you done now?!” “I en’t done anything! What’re you talkin’ about?” “Come over here and have a look, this has to be your doin’!” As Pinkie’s vision slowly swam back into clarity, she blinked, and saw four humans staring down at her in surprise. Of course, Pinkie wasn’t scared, as if she’d been around these creatures her whole life. She sat up and put a hoof to her forehead. “Ohhh... Where am I...?” she asked groggily. All the humans stared at her in shock, all except one. He had long-ish black hair and brown puppy-dog eyes. “You’re in England, love. 1967.” “E-england? Where’s that?” “Well, in the United Kingdom... Part of Europe.” “Huh?” “Y’know, on planet Earth?” Now that made Pinkie gasp. “Earth?! Europe?! UNITED KINGDOM?!!?! I’M IN THE HUMAN WORLD!!” she yelled, which made the humans back off a bit. “Well, yeah... Anyways, I’m Keith.” said the human with the black hair and puppy-dog eyes. He smirked at her in that cheeky sort of way. “What’s your name?” “I’m Pinkie Pie,” Pinkie began, her eyes lighting up, “and I’m from Equestria.” There seemed to be an instant connection between her and Keith. She was content to see the other humans warming up to the idea of her, and took it as a sign that there was no more need to explain. She hopped up onto her hooves and smiled. “What are your names?” she asked the other three humans. “Well, I’m Pete.” Pete said, pointing to himself. He pointed towards the other two and continued, “The brown haired one’s John and the one with the blonde hair, well, that’s Roger.” “Oooh...” Pinkie murmured, turning over the human names in her mind over and over. “What do you guys do?” “We’re in a band.” Roger said simply. “The Who, we’re called.” Keith added. “The Who? That’s a silly name!” Pinkie giggled and even let out a little snort. “Anyways, mind if I stay with you guys while I’m here? I’m not quite sure how to get back home...” Her face was suddenly overcome with a look of concern, and her mane flattened just a little bit. “Of course!” Keith said and picked her up. Pinkie didn’t struggle. She liked this guy. Not bothering to say anything, they all headed down the hall and back to their hotel room, since they’d been walking down the middle of the hall when Pinkie appeared.
