"State your name and rank."
"Starlight Fury, captain of the United Worlds' Ship Lusitano-Class fast assault frigate number 3471, codename: Final Dance."
Two ponies sat in the small, largely unlit interrogation chamber. One, a high ranking officer in the United World's Alliance Intelligence Office, the other was one Captain Starlight Fury. The room had one small, central light that shone directly at Starlight's face. This was a simple intimidation tactic, and she seemed unphased by it.
"So Captain," the officer continued, "would you mind telling me how one of the UWA's ships just... disappeared off the grid, and her captain returns home alone in a cryo-pod?"
Starlight narrowed her eyes at the shadowy officer, "I already told you what happened."
"I know you did, but you'll have to forgive me if I struggle to believe that."
"You struggle to believe what I told you about what we found out there in a place we'd never explored before? Are you even listening to yourself? The whole reason behind our mission was to find an answer to the age old question of space travel, and we found it." Starlight looked around the dark room, seeming to check for any evidence of listening devices, "Now I know that there are other ponies listening to this, so for the sake of everything we hold dear, heed what I am about to tell you. The Final Dance can't be the only one, there are other ships missing aren't there? You're probably wondering why that is, well I have the answer."
The officer seemed to lean forward in his seat, "and what would that answer be, Captain?"
Starlight looked back towards the officer, a rather alarmed look on her face, "The answer... is no, we're not alone out there."
