Jumper of Games

Daniel woke up, and stretched muttering, “What a nightmare, I have no idea what that even was.” A lavender unicorn walked into the room and Daniel’s jaw fell onto his chest, staring at her.

The lavender unicorn looked up and shouted to someone outside the room, “Hey, Spike, our guest is waking up, see if he wants anything to eat, I have to go work on something else.” She turned, and he saw her wings and fainted, falling back onto the bed. A small purple and green dragon walked in, saw him sprawled on his back on the bed with his legs hanging over the edge.

Spike muttered, “Stupid guest, wake up then go back to sleep. I’m going back to my comic books.” He walked back into the room he came from, and started reading the comic book from the top of the pile. Daniel cracked open an eye, and looked around. He saw a window, got up, and walked over to it. There was a forest nearby, and his image distorted, and when it cleared, he was no longer there. He appeared just inside the forest, in the middle of a path. He started walking down it, until he reached a fork in the path.

He looked down both paths and took the left, walking for a while. He could see a rope bridge ahead of him, but he couldn’t see the other side, due to dense fog. He was about a hundred yards away from the bridge when he heard a whoosh, and he teleported backward a few feet. Daniel saw a large tan blur land right on top of where he was before he teleported. It turned and looked at him, and he saw large fangs, bat wings, and a scorpion tail on what appeared to be a lion’s body. It pounced, but he was no longer there, he was now standing at the end of the path. It turned back to him, but he was already teleporting across the bridge.

He started walking down the path, and saw a large stone castle rise out of the mist. He walked up to it slowly, looking around. He entered into the throne room, with two large thrones in it. The throne on the right had a golden banner hanging over it, with a sun with curving rays coming out from it. On the left, there was a banner in midnight blue, with a crescent moon with black stars around it.
He was too busy looking up at it that he did not notice the midnight blue pony wearing a slightly lighter dress, with regalia accents that was sitting cross-legged on the ground in front of him, also looking at the thrones. He tripped over her and stumbled, failing to keep his balance. He fell forward and the mare looked surprised, and then when he rolled over and groaned, she gasped, looked concerned, her horn glowed, and then flashed, with both of them disappearing.

Canterlot Castle Medical Wing

Princess Luna appeared in the middle of the hall of the medical wing of the castle with something draped over her back. She ran into a nearby storage closet and grabbed a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and dabbed some on Daniel’s face over a large cut from him landing on uneven flagstones. Luna was still dabbing it on when she realized that the wound had closed, leaving no trace other than a small indent, but disappeared while she was staring at it. He opened his eyes, saw her, and looked confused.

“Who the hell are you?” Daniel asked the mare that was leaning over him.

She looked down and looked confused, and said, “I am Princess Luna, co-ruler of Equestria with my sister, Princess Celestia. Who are you?”

“My name’s Daniel Ponce, I’m a jumper from Earth, and a human.” He said in response to her question.

“I am surprised that you are awake and healed already, you had at least a half-inch deep gouge in your head.” Luna said, looking at him in surprise.

He got up, and shrugged, and asked, “Is there anyplace that I can sleep around here, I’m pretty tired.” She nodded, and her horn flashed.

A unicorn servant dressed in a modest shirt, tie, and black pants walked in, bowed, and asked, “What can I do for you, Princess?”

Luna said, “You can take this stallion to one of our guest rooms, give him the Royal Seal, so that he can go anywhere in the castle.” The servant nodded, and cast a spell, which put a miniature version of Luna’s cutie mark in the hollow of his neck. The servant then showed him to a guest room, bowed him in, and left, after saying that if he needed anything to ring the bell by the bed. He walked around the room, looking through everything, and then showered.

He went to sleep, and started dreaming about a mismatched creature trying to tell him something. He could hear a faint buzzing and the occasional louder buzz when it looked angry. He tried to read its lips, but they turned blurry whenever he focused on them. It turned and stalked out of sight and everything went dark. The dream ended when a bright light shone into his room, waking him up.

Canterlot Throne Room

“Sister, is everything alright?” Luna asked Celestia. They were in the throne room, and Celestia was pacing around.

“No!” Celestia snapped, and then apologized, “Sorry about that, it’s just that, well, Discord’s statue is gone, and if he was out and about, something would have happened. I think someone stole it.” Luna looked surprised, and then stretched her consciousness to envelop all of the dreams around the castle.

She gasped, and said, “The pony that I brought in earlier is dreaming about Discord. You can see Discord trying to speak, but all you hear is a buzzing. I guess that Discord entered his mind, but he has no control, he’s stuck in the sub-conscious. We don’t have to worry about him, except he may develop Chaos magic. That shouldn’t be a problem, unless he turns psychotic.”

“Good, we won’t have to worry about Discord escaping.” Celestia said. “I will raise the sun, and then would you like to go to the gym and box? I’ll cancel the morning Day Court.” Luna nodded, and left the room, presumably to change into her gym clothes.

Daniel’s Room

Daniel woke up to a bright light shining in his eyes, and covered them. He reached over and tapped the bell, signaling for the servant. The servant came in, and before he asked, Daniel said, “I would like oatmeal with raspberries on top, and some maple syrup in it.” The servant nodded and left, returning a few minutes later with a steaming bowl of oatmeal, set it on the bedside table, and left. Daniel got up and dressed, then ate. He went to the bathroom, brushed his teeth, and then sat around thinking of what to do.

Daniel made up his mind on what to do, and rang the bell again. A servant came in and asked, “What may I do for you, sir?” Daniel asked if there was a gym, and the servant said yes and showed him to it. There were a few off-duty guards using the punching bags, and the tallest was about 5’9”. After he went to an unused bench press and put on a hundred pounds, he started doing reps.

He did fifty, and then a servant came in and shouted, “Sorry, but you will all have to leave, the princesses are coming.” The guards all left and the servant came over to Daniel, and repeated the order. Daniel reached up and pulled down the neck of his shirt and showed the servant the symbol. The servant nodded and said, “Sorry to bother you, I didn’t know.”

The servant left, and the Princesses came in, Luna talking to a taller white mare. The white mare looked around and noticed that Daniel was sitting up, stretching his arms. He got up and was stopped by Celestia, who said, “I’m sorry, but I don’t think that I have had the pleasure of meeting you. I am Princess Celestia, what is your name?”

He nodded to Luna, and said, “I’m Daniel Ponce. So this is your sister, Luna?” Luna nodded and he said, pointing at an area with punching bags set up “I’m going over there, if you want me for anything, just ask.”

He walked over and started punching the bags, doing combinations of martial arts moves to knock some down, and send others swaying. Luna walked over and asked,”Do you want to box me or my sister? It’ll be fun.” He nodded, and walked over to the ring. He grabbed a pair of gloves then slid under the ropes. They had magic blockers in them, so unicorns couldn’t cheat. He jumped up into the ring, and Luna teleported gloves to her and pulled them on.

Luna hopped into the ring and asked cockily, “Ready to lose?”

“No, how about you?” He answered even more cockily.

He knew that he could teleport, and was prepared to, when Celestia shouted, “Fight!” Luna came in with short, sharp jabs that would be impossible to dodge because of their speed. She smiled, thinking that she would do damage to his arms, making it harder for him to fight. Right before the first punch would’ve connected, he side-stepped, grabbed her arm, and pulled her in a circle, making her lose her balance. She fell down hard, letting out a small gasp.

She leaped to her feet and warily circled around him, saying, “You fight well. Most ponies would not have been able to do that to me.” She reached in and attempted to hit him, using both fists to punch at different places on his body. Again, right before they connected, he moved, but this time he teleported behind her and kicked her in the small of her back. She fell forward onto the ropes, regained her feet, and spun around. Light blue flames started coming off her arms, she was so mad. She screamed, “How do you do that!?” and ran at him trying to catch him in a tackle. Right before she reached him, he teleported behind her, tapping her foot and changing her vector so that she went right into the rope.

Luna started crying, and when he reached down to help her up she grinned evilly, and said, “Big mistake, Daniel,” She grabbed his arm and yanked him down.

He teleported again, just behind her and said, “If you’re going to be a poor sport, we can do something else. This place seems up-to-date, do you have video games?”

Luna perked up and said, “Yeah, you should come up to my room, I have a bunch there.” Luna started walking to the door leading into the castle. She turned, looked back, and asked, “Aren’t you coming?” he was still standing there.

“Shouldn’t we change into normal clothes, and then go to your room?” Daniel asked walking to the door. “I know how to get back to my room, and I can ask a servant for the directions to yours.”

Luna looked downtrodden for a second, and then realized that he’d just avoided an awkward situation, and smiled. She said, “Yeah, I forgot about that, normally I don’t act like that.” Daniel walked out of the gym and went to his room to change and take a quick shower. After rinsing off, he looked in the dresser for clothes and saw jeans and a T-shirt, and put them on, along with clean socks.
He walked outside and turned down the hall, looking for a servant. He saw a mare coming out of another room, pushing a cleaning cart. He asked her where Luna’s room and she directed him to it. He walked there, stopping by the kitchen to make sure he was going in the right direction. The cook said to turn left at the next branch, and you wouldn’t miss it because of the two guards outside.

Daniel stopped and asked the guards if he could go in after showing them the pass, and when he went in he saw lots of video games, most of which were first or third person shooters. He saw GTA V on a shelf, grabbed it, and put it in on the console that showed less wear. He created a new account under the handle of NightShade, and joined a relatively empty server. Luna walked out while it was loading, and asked, “GTA V, what server?” He told her the bottom server and she joined, the TV announcing

They played for about fifteen minutes and then more people joined, announcing,

Daniel paused the game while he was underwater in a sub to put in a cheat code, and his character turned into a unicorn. He selected his grenades, and had his character cast a Want It, Need It spell on his grenades, and came to the surface. As soon as he reached the surface, he beached the submersible by the marina and got five stars on him and got cornered at a stunt ramp. He cycled through his weapons and stopped on the grenades, and lobbed a few into the cops, causing them to try to grab them and get blown up.

He waited until there was no risk and met up with Luna at a corner store when they died, and the server said

You were mowed down by DJPON3

Daniel grinned and said, "Hey, bitch, eat grenades!"

DJPON3's in game character suddenly reached for the grenade, and she shouted, "How about you eat you- damn-it throw the fucking grenade! I call hacks!"

Daniel smiled and said, "Ever hear of the unicorn cheat code? I have to get off now, see you later." He signed off and left Luna's room to go to sleep, as it was 2:00 in the morning.

Just before he left, Luna said, "I'll have a servant take that console and play disc to your room tomorrow morning, good night." He waved and walked back to his room, flopping down on his bed, and falling asleep, had the same dream, but this time the thing held a medallion that looked oddly familiar...
