Featherweight vs. Spike: Challenge of a Man!
Featherweight the editor & chief of the school's newspaper club was having his latest header released, titled: Who is the Mysterious Mare 2 Well? Mare do Well's successor. After the school day was over, he left the newspaper room & locked the door as soon as everyone of the newspaper staff left. He then walked down the hallway, feeling excited to hang out with his bros. That's when Scootaloo left her school club, the Cutiemark Crusaders, early. Featherweight tried to say something but that's when he heard 2 girls who were passing by mutter: "He'll never do it! He's too chicken, a cowardly one, not an awesome one like Scootaloo." and then her friend replied: "Yeah, paper boy is so flimsy looking, there's no way he'd find any strength to even talk to a girl, unless it's a waifu!"
...Insults like that have been said behind his back, he just refused to hear them. At least he had friends, the Newspaper club, and his family to talk to when times are getting rough causing him to tumble. Though...he knew he was strong, and was going to prove those girls wrong right now! "Scootaloo?" he said in his head, I'm sorry did I say strong? I meant to say string. "(Aw-man, did I just say that in my head again? I'm such a weenie!)" He then just stood there, head down in shame, he then took a look at his wrist watch. "Oh-no! I'm gonna be late to hang with the guys!" He then ran as fast as he could to the Friendship Rainbow Castle...ungh man that's a lame name! Anyways, Featherweight and the boys made it to Spike's home in a flash. Featherweight, Pip, Rumble, Button Mash, and finally First Base, Flash Sentry's younger earth pony brother.
"Welcome in my friends." Spike gestured. "I've made extra cheesie nachos, red velvet ice cream cake, root beer floats, and of course hot wings. You guys bring your stuff?"
"I got my Wii U & Smash bros for Wii U!" Button Mash chimed in.
"I got the blue ray DVD's of various Ecchi animes!" Added Pip.
"I got the map, routing places we can play practical jokes on, and of course your friend Ms.Pinkie gave me the gags." Rumble explained.
"I got a camera from my house to ensure we'll remember this awesome night!" Said Featherweight.
"Alright, now let's get the party started!"
So the boys enjoyed going wild, then went back to the castle to play smash bros for Wii U afterwards. The 1st match-up was Rumble(Little Mac) vs. Button Mash(Dr.Mario). As they played the intense game, Featherweight asked his friends.
"So guys, I've been thinking..."
" 'Sup? "
"Do you guys think I'm strong?"
"..."
"uh.."
"...I guess not."
"Why do you ask?"
"Well, I was kinda planning on asking out Scootaloo, but...I wanted to well, try to make everyone at school stop calling me weak before I do." Then he scratched the back of his head while darting his eyes to the wall.
"And how do you attempt that?" Asked Pip.
"To challenge Spike to a one-on-one! So, if you you & the rest don't think I'm strong, think you can take a dive for me during the fight?"
"We'll fight, but I wont take a dive."
"What?!"
"Yeah, you'll have to work hard for a victory, warning you though, I have plenty of connections so I can't be sent to juvi after killing you. See you in a month."
Then everyone was kicked out with all of their stuff gently put on the doorstep.
"You're going to die!" Said Button Mash.
"I'll host your funeral." Said Pip.
"Can I have you camera after you die?" Asked 1st Base
"Don't worry about these guys, I'll help you train!"
"Th..thank you Rumble."
"Don't thank me yet, during this training, if you don't take it seriously, you might as well be dead before the fight."
*Gulp*
So then we get a montage where Featherweight goes through so much excruciating pain so horrible to even describe. Pip, worked hard to get through these trails & tribulations, he managed to fight through the obstacles in his way, his big, or rather huge brother Bulk Biceps tried talking him outta it, but Featherweight simply told him that this is his chance to prove he is more than meets the eye to the people who speak behind his back at school! It seems Snips & Snails received word of this fight and have now blogged it to everyone at school! I swear someone should smack that idiot real hard, or maybe their parents have smacked them hard enough to actually break that brain, making him a moron! Anyways, Scootaloo became concerned of what's going to happen. She went to Rumble's house quick as a flash.
*knock* *knock*
Rumble's brother Thunderlane then opens the door.
"Hey Scootaloo, what are you..."
"No time, I heard Featherweight is training with Rumble here?"
"Yeah, they're in the backyard."
"Thanks."
Meanwhile in the backyard...
"HARDER!!! HIT THE SANDBAG HARDER, OR I"LL HIT YOU WITH THE BAT HARDER!!!"
"Rumble!"
"Oh, hey Scoots, just getting the champ ready for his big fight."
She pushed pass Rumble, to see an incredibly exhausted Featherweight.
"Featherweight, why are you doing this?"
"I want the students at school to stop calling me weak."
"You shouldn't care about what others think."
"I know, but this is the pride of a man, and I want to prove I am a man, not a mouse! Nothing anyone can say will make me change my mind, not even my parents!"
" *groan* unfortunately, male pride is something I don't understand, but...please just be careful Featherweight." Then she left.
The next day, everyone from the school was waiting in anticipation, ready to see the fight, even Pinkie came. NOT THAT KIND OF CAME YOU IDIOT!!! Ms.Cheerlee could have spoken-up but Big Mac & Bulk explained that this was Featherweight's challenge to becoming a man.
"Don't bother placing a bet, it's obvious that Spike will win this." Said one student.
"What could have happened to cause to close friends to fight like this do you think?" Asked a worried student.
"Featherweight's definitely going to get clobbered." Pinkie commente...Hey, not cool Pinkie!
"What? I'm just..."
"Don't you dare say it, or else, I will..."
"Saiyan!"
Congratulations Pinkamena Diane Pie, you just won a free trip to New Jersey, now turn around I'll kick you all the way there!
*Boot!*
"You win this round Narratoooooooooor..."
Featherweight was beginning to turn pale.
"Don't worry dude, you got this (maybe). I know you can (not) do it! You will (wont) win this fight. I don't believe in you!"
"Did you just say you don't believe in me?" Featherweight asked Rumble.
"(Oops, did I say that out loud?) No I didn't, you're just hearing things."
Scootaloo was talking with Spike.
"Are you sure you can't just take a dive?"
"I'll let you in on a little secret, come here." Then Spike whispered. "He said the same thing about me taking a dive, but don't worry, I only said that so he doesn't know about my true intentions." Then he pointed to a tree. Twilight is hiding up in that tree, ready to shield Featherweight from my attacks with an invisible skin level shield. Featherweight might go down, but he wont go down without a fight."
"Th...that's clever."
"No duh, now get outta my way, it's tome for me & Featherweight to Rumble, the term for fight that is."
"Really Narrator? What a stupid pun." Pinkie yelled, while in New jersey
Shut-up Pinkie, you're in a place where friendship is useless! I yelled back.
"Alright, go get 'em liger!" Rumble said. "Psst, hey Snips, how high are the bets for Spike's inevitable win?"
Spike & Featherweight stood before each other, ready for a fight. Spike took a big breath & exhaled as he looked at the tree Twilight was hiding in, giving her the que.
"So, you wanna start at 1, 2, 3, go or something?" Asked Featherweight.
"No, Snips & Snails have a bell, to begin the fight."
"Alright everypony, let the fight between Featherweight and Spike, begin!" Snips announced. "Snails, ring the bell."
Then Snails smacked Sweetie Belle in the back of the head, beginning the fight.
"Ow! Jerk!"
Yep, I went there with my puns.
"(If, I win this fight, then I can finally tell Scootaloo how I feel.)"
That's when Spike wrapped himself in flames, and flew at Featherweight! Featherweight crossed his arms in front of his face, that's when Twilight activated the spell to save featherweight from feeling such an excruciating pain!
"Well, I guess that's the end of..." Dinky Doo was cut off as everyone gasped.
"He...he isn't dead?" Archer said in shock.
"No way, how could such a scrawny looking pony endure that?" A confused Opal Bloom said.
"Man, this reminds me of the Drama in the comments tag on Derpibooru." Mina commented.
"What's Derpibooru?" Asked Fisrt Base.
"It's a fandom thing, you wouldn't understand."
Featherweight stood still for a while before finally opening his eyes.
"I'm...not dead?"
Then Button Mash cheered. "Way to go Featherweight!" only little followed as others brushed it off as a fluke.
"Whoa, you're much durable than I thought!" Spike said. "but now, it's time I finished this! Falcon..." Then his right fist caught on fire! "...PUNCH!" Again, the invisible shield absorbed the attack's kinetic energy! Twilight, stumbled a bit while still sitting on the branch.
"Gah!" Then Twilight used a telepathy spell. "(Watch it Spike, it takes a lot of concentration to hold this kind of spell, even though I'm not protecting myself, I can still feel attacks pushing at me.)"
"(No promises Twilight, I gotta give it my all, just hold out for as long as about...8 and a half more minutes because that's when the 1st round ends.)"
"Fine."
Spike came at Featherweight with his claws next, but Featherweight dodged, and then featherweight found an opening allowing him to punch Spike in the gut! Everyone's eyes widened.
"He hit him!" Rumble said, then he turned to Snips. "Hey Snips, is it too late to change my bets?"
"Is that the hardest you can hit? Really? Rumble, what has featherweight been bench pressing?"
"Nevermind then."
That's when Featherweight fell over with a bruised cheek!
"(Spike help!)"
"(What the?)" Spike looked at the tree & saw Twilight using the spell on herself, to protect her from wasps!(Dang! Guess I'll have to make something look like an accident.)" So Spike faked a sneeze, shooting a fireball Twilight's way! Burning off all of the Wasps, Twilight used the clearing smoke to get to an area that didn't get burnt off and continued to use the spell on Featherweight. Then Featherweight kicked, punched, karate chopped, but nothing seemed to phase Spike. He stood there letting featherweight exhaust his energy. Featherweight ran out of gas until the round ended! Then Snails smacked Sweetie Belle, signalling the end of the match.
"Ow!"
"And that's the end of the 1st round?" Snips couldn't believe it, everyone couldn't believe it, even Naruto Uzamaki couldn't Habeeb it!
All of Featherweight's friends ran to his side of the corner, Twilight got a sigh of relief, recharging her energy for the next round.
"Dude, you're doing great, I didn't know such a flimsy thing like you could take such damage!" Said Pip.
"Yeah, you're so strong!" Said Babs Seed.
"You think I'm strong?"
"Dude, no pony could take all of those dragon attacks without magic."
"You have a point."
"Alright dude, in this one I want you to use the Wing Kumotei we were practicing!"
"Gotcha Rumble!"
"Dang, what has happened to Featherweight?!" Apple Bloom blurted out.
"(I happened.)" Twilight thought proudly.
"(Thanks for helping Twi, everyone seems to think he's very strong, no-one's disrespecting him, but now here's where I take him down in the 2nd.)"
"(Gotcha, see you at home.)"
Then, it was time for the next round. Featherweight with his new found confidence was short lived, I'll tell you why in a bit. 1st Featherweight got-up and flown upwards.
"Hah, betcha can't get me up here!"
That's when a pair of wing sprouted from Spike's back, and then Spike rocketed towards Featherweight, & then Spike kicked Featherweight in the face! Featherweight was able to recover from a blow like that, but then Featherweight came back attacking with his wings!
"Feather cannon!" Then he shot razor sharp feathers at Spike, which did not affect him in the slightest, they just bounced off of Spike's chest! Then Spike started flying around featherweight. "H-hey what are you.."
"Using Rainbow Dash's tornado technique!"
"Aaaah, I'm getting dizzy!"
"Good, that's for thinking you had any hope in this fight!"
Spike relentlessly beat on Featherweight, and everyone had trouble looking, but they knew he'd endure, despite it being a rouse concocted by Spike. Featherweight fell from the sky like Daedelus, he landed on the ground. Spike stood, watching the unconscious Featherweight.
"You can do it, you can win Featherweight!" Berry Pinch chanted. Everyone else chanted afterwards.
"Kick his butt Featherweight!" Diamond Tiara cheered.
"YEAH!!!" Bulk Biceps shouted.
Featherweight heard everyone's pleas...he was very touched.
"(They...all believe in me! I gotta get-up!)" Featherweight stumbled a bit but he managed to get back-up on his own 2 feet, he tried kicking Spike in the balls, but even so, it didn't hurt Spike. Spike shoved Featherweight back, then with one more punch...
K.O.!
The next day...Featherweight awoke with bandages all over his body and in his hospital bed, flowers from almost every girl at school was given to him. Bulk Biceps, slept on 2 chairs waiting for Featherweight to awaken.
"Big bro?"
"Wh-huh?! Little dude, you're awaken! Heh, I'd hug you but the Doctors don't want me to injure you further."
"Haha."
Then the door opened.
"Scootaloo?"
"'Sup Feathers, hey Bulk, can we have some time alone?"
"Yeah."
Once the door closed...
"Spike? What are you doing here?"
"I want to hear Scootaloo become Featherweight's girlfriend."
"R...really?!"
"Yeah."
Now back to Scootaloo & Featherweight...
*Smack!*
"That was very risky you know."
"Yeah...but, I had, I had to prove I was strong to everyone before I confessed my love to a certain girl."
"What's her name?"
"Come here and I'll whisper it."
Her head came closer & closer but that's when Featherweight stopped her with a surprise kiss! Scootaloo jumped back blushing, making the red mix with the orange of her fur, making her face look like fire.
"I...I'm speechless."
"I've been trying to tell you but everyone at school made me lose my confidence to ask you out...so after I get outta this hospital, feel like giving us a chance?"
"O-okay, we might look like an odd couple, but I'm willing to try."
Meanwhile on the other side..."Hear that buddy?"
" *Sniffle!* my little brother is growing-up."
"Is that liquid pride I see trickling down your face?"
"Yeah."
So afterwards, Featherweight & Scootaloo started going out. Spike apologized and Featherweight forgave him. Everyone at school now had a new found respect for Featherweight.
