It was a summer day in Ponyville, and Twilight was with her friends on the edge of The EverFree Forest.
"Alright, everypony ready to go camping?" Twilight asked.
Spike sighed dreamily, "Hi, Rarity...oh, yeah, I'm ready!"
Applejack also replied, "Yep!"
"Yes indeedly!" Pinkie Pie jumped up.
Rarity responded, "Well-prepared, yes...ready to sleep on dirt, no."
Rainbow Dash flew up and spun around, "I'm so ready!"
Fluttershy stuttered, "Um...I'm n-"
"I'm more ready than you are!" Applejack spat.
Rainbow Dash chuckled, "Pfft, how ready?!"
Applejack shouted back, "99% ready!"
"100% READY!" Rainbow Dash said.
Fluttershy squeaked, "I'm n-not ready..."
"Why aren't you ready, dear?" Rarity questioned.
Rainbow Dash added on, "Yeah, why not, Flutters?"
Fluttershy said, getting more scared, "W-We're staying the night...o-outside...i-in the forest...with the wild animals..." She shrieked a bit.
Twilight walked over to her, "But Fluttershy, we brought you here so you can...you know, straighten out them."
"Well, these are wild animals, they're much, much more hard to tame than other creatures." Fluttershy answered.
Pinkie Pie pointed, "Ooh! I found a chicken!"
"Where?" Fluttershy asked.
"Over there!" Pinkie Pie responded.
Twilight squinted, "Wait a second..." She used her magic to move the rustling bush for a moment, then gasped with the rest of her friends.
Fluttershy shrieked, "A COCATRIESE!!!"
The Mane Six and Spike ran around screaming, "Help!!!"
Applejack called out, "Fluttershy, follow me!"
"Huh? Oh, okay!" Fluttershy ran after her friend, following her.
Twilight and her friends gasped, "Discord!"
"Hello, everypony. How are you all doing?" Discord asked. He made the cocatriese disappear with a snap of his paw.
Rainbow Dash wasn't amused, "What are you doing here, you punk?"
Discord scoffed, "Would be nice to skip the name-calling, you do know I'm reformed now, Dashie. To answer your question, I saw ponies scrambling around, only to see it was my friends. Thought I'd lend a helping ha-...I mean hoof."
"Hiya, Discord!" Pinkie Pie smiled.
Twilight paused and looked around, "What, has anypony seen Fluttershy and AJ?"
Rainbow Dash said, "Well, I saw Fluttershy and Applejack..."
Discord covered Rainbow Dash's mouth with his claw, "Wait a second, Fluttershy...is missing?"
Twilight replied, "She WAS here, but Applejack and Fluttershy ran off...possibly to get away from the cocatriese."
"Well, wherever they are, I certainly hope they're okay." Rarity said.
Fluttershy was lost in the forest, and softly asked, "A-Applejack...are you here?"
"Fluttershy?! Hmm...where is that pony?" Applejack questioned, even though she was in a different part of the woods.
"Oh, I'll never be found!" Fluttershy cried a bit.
Six months later, everypony was still searching for the two friends. However, the remaining friends went to Canterlot to see if the princesses could help in anyway.
Princess Celestia pondered, "So Twilight, how long has it been since Fluttershy went missing?"
"I believe it's been nearly six months since we last saw Fluttershy and Applejack..." She replied.
Spike also responded, "Well, everypony has been down in the dumps si..."
"I MISS FLUTTERSHY!!!" Pinkie Pie said sadly, nearing to cry.
Rainbow Dash replied, "At least we KNOW where AJ is...she write us letters...I'm not entirely too sure how she sends them, but she wrote that she was on her way once she saw the castle."
Applejack ran in with branches and leafs in her mane, "I'm finally back!"
They all gasped and went over to hug her, even though Rarity was nit-picking and levitated the mess out of her mane and tail.
Rarity asked, "Have you found Fluttershy?"
"Are you hurt?" Twilight questioned.
Pinkie Pie gasped, "Were you able to have parties?!" Twilight whispered in her ear, explaining. Pinkie continued, "What?! Who doesn't have parties when their lost?! I thought there were these things called 'search-parties'!"
Rainbow Dash face-hoofed herself, "Totally different meaning, Pinkie."
Applejack replied, "Well, I'm not hurt, and I didn't party..."
"Aww, poor you!" Pinkie Pie said.
Applejack coughed, "As I was saying...I did find Fluttershy, but when I did...well, let's just say she's not the same as before..."
"What do you mean 'not the same', AJ?" Twilight asked.
Applejack stuttered, "She...she..."
A burst of light showed up, Discord being in it, "She's what?!"
"Gah! Where do y'all even come from?!" Applejack asked.
Rainbow Dash added on, "Yeah, seriously, you're like a hoard of locus!"
Princess Luna summoned guards. "Um...ugh, Luna, it's fine." Princess Celestia told her sister.
"Proceed work." Princess Luna commanded them.
Discord replied, "If you must know, I'm here about Fluttershy's disappearance, and I thought I would help you girls." Spike coughed, then Discord rolled his eyes, "And Spike."
Applejack growled, "LIKE I WAS GETTING TO...She...she has the mind of a wild animal!"
Everypony in the room gasped, "WHAT?!" They shouted in union.
Back in Ponyville, Applejack had told them the Mayor had her captive. They went straight to Town Hall, and then asked for their friend.
"Very well, then...just know you did this to yourselves." Mayor Mare said, then added, "We can let her go now!"
Fluttershy hissed after being brought out in a cage.
