The Mysterious Murder

It was a spring morning in Canterlot, and Twilight had stayed the night at the castle with her friends. They all woke up and traveled down to the dining hall for breakfast, where they met the princesses.

Princess Celestia smiled, "Good morning, everypony! Did you all rest well?" They all answered in a yes form, whether it was nodding or speaking.

Princess Luna grinned, "Glad to hear, the chef's are nearly done preparing breakfast."

"Oh, good! I'm starving!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed.

Spike yawned, "I don't know why we had to get up so early, though..."

Twilight chuckled, "I told you, Spike, we need to help prepare The Annual Spring Tea Party for the princesses and their guests."

"Actually, Twilight, I was hoping you and your friends would also attend this year." Princess Celestia remarked.

Rarity gasped, "R-Really?! That is such a huge honor! Please, Twilight, please, please, please!"

Twilight rolled her eyes, "We'd all be honored, your highness, but I thought it was just for important ponies."

Princess Luna chuckled, "How many times have you and your friends saved Equestria from some doom or other?"

Pinkie Pie shouted, "Oh, oh! There was Nightmare Moon, Discord, Queen Chrysalis, Tirek, and King Sombra! So, um...Twilight, I need you to be a smart-cookie and solve it."

"Pinkie, it would be five times." Twilight replied. "Four, actually, if you don't count us for King Sombra's defeat, that was more of Princess Cadance's victory."

Rainbow Dash scoffed, "Alright, Ms. Mathematics! Can we eat now?"

The chef's served waffles, oats, and grape juice. Each pony at the table took a bit of each. Spike requested gem-muffins, however, and received them.

They all began eating, and once they had finished, the maids came in to clean up. Leaving them to their work, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna went to their royal duties as Rarity and Twilight finished setting up the tea party.

Fluttershy admired the garden, "I think the princesses chose a lovely place to have their party, I'm still so nervous about having my birds preform. W-What if we mess up in front of the most important ponies in Equestria?"

"Sugar-cube, don't y'all worry 'bout that. I'm sure everything will be just fine." Applejack said.

Fluttershy smiled, and began flying with Rainbow Dash to hang a ribbon-streamer around the trees. Twilight sighed, everything looked perfect and they were finally done with all the preparations.

Twilight announced, "Okay, final check everypony! Napkins?"

"Check!" Rarity exclaimed.

"Tea, teaspoons, tea-cups, platters, and sugar?" Twilight continued.

Applejack replied, "Right here."

Twilight added on, "Crumpets, cookies, cupcakes, and scones?"

Pinkie Pie said with a mouth-full, "There right here!"

"Pinkie, you didn't..." Twilight responded.

"Oh, okay! It was only one cupcake, though!" Pinkie Pie blurted out, swallowing.

Twilight rolled her eyes, "And...decor?"

Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy replied at the same time, "All done!" They landed and Twilight smiled.

"That's everything!" Twilight declared.

Princess Celestia, Luna, Cadance, Shining Armor, Fancy Pants, Sapphire Shores, Prince Blueblood, Hoity Toity, and Discord all started arriving.

Sapphire Shores gasped, "My, this certainly is a beautiful shindig you're runnin' here, Tia!"

"Thank you, Sapphire, but I couldn't have done it without Twilight and her friends." Princess Celestia smiled.

Twilight blushed in embarrassment, and so did all her friends. "I CALL SITTING NEXT TO FANCY PANTS...I-I mean, who's ready for tea? Hehehe..." Rarity said nervously.

Princess Luna replied, "Right...anyways, yes, let us take our seats."
