I woke up to the sound of my alarm blairing on the nightstand beside me. It was about 9:47 in the morning when I turned to look at it. Every morning that stupid thing shouts at me, annoying me enough to start the day. As I get out of bed, I can feel the stiff bones in my body pop, loosening them up making it more comfortable to get up. Today was just like any other, get up, get ready, and head to work. I worked at the Boeing plant in Oklahoma City. I'm a test pilot for any aircraft that recently comes if the line. I'm supposed to make sure the planes are well enough to fly, by flying them myself. I got out of bed and marched across my room to my bathroom. I can feel the cold morning air from the open bathroom window rushing past me. As I approach the counter, I grab my tooth brush and tooth paste, rub some toothpaste on my toothbrush, and start cleaning my teeth. I wasn't about to have bad breath. After about 2 minutes of scrubbing, I spit out the now foamy toothpaste into my sink. Then I grabbed my comb and began to tackle my hair. I had long hair, that stretches all the way to my shoulder. When I wake up its always a mess, getting tangled in knots and what not. After I got my hair all fixed, I set the comb down, and walked over to the closet. I swung open the doors, and began to get dressed into my pilots uniform. First I put in my black dress pants, then I grabbed my white long sleeved button up and put it on, tucking it into my pants. After that, I put my tie on, then my black leather jacket. Finally, to complete my attire, some nice black dress shoes. I shut my closet and walked over to the nightstand where sat my aviator sunglasses, my Rolex watch, my wallet, and my car keys. I put on the Rolex and sunglasses, and stuck my wallet in my pocket, grabbed my keys, and headed to the garage. I walked down stairs though the entry way, and walked into the garage, where sat my 1965 shelby cobra hardtop. It was cherry red with white stripes, and it was my pride and joy. I loved that car. So without hesitation, I opened the door, and hopped inside, sticking the key in the ignition and giving it a turn. Within a second the car roared to life. I reached up and pushed the garage opener and backed out of the garage and began my long drive to work. The drive usually takes about an hour because of morning traffic.
Finally I arrive at the Boeing plant. As I pulled my car into the parking lot i try to find the spot with less cars. I don't want scratches on my cobra. After getting parked, I head to the plant. I was excited to see what they had in store for me today. Usually it's just smaller airplanes and jets, but sometimes I get to fly the bigger, 747 jets! So with that on my mind I walked into the office. My boss, Sherman, was waiting to give me instructions. "Good morning" I said politely. Sherman gave me a smile and then reached out and shook my hand. "So are you ready for work Mark?" He asked. I nodded my head to show I was ready. "Good, because we've got something that just got off the line" I followed Sherman to the airstrip where they have all their Newley developed planes. When we opened the door, there was a white 747 cargo plane sitting there. "Do I get to fly that?!?" I asked excitedly. "Yep"Sherman replied. I could hardly contain myself! I've flown 747s in the past but never a cargo version before! It was a little different than a normal 747. The back of the plane opens up to allow things like boxes, equipment, even cars back there. Then in the front there were several rooms for the crew. Just things like a bedroom, small kitchen and a small seating area. I was about to go get in when Sherman stopped me. " hey, since this is a cargo plane, we are going to load the back up with things to simulate carry loads". He said. Just then a wild idea jumped into my head. " hey Sherman, could I take my car up?" I asked. Sherman looked at me funny for a sec then shook his head yes. "It's your car Markus, give us the key and well load it up." He said. So I gave him the keys to my car and he left, and I got in the massive aircraft.
It took them a sec to load the car into the back of the back of the plane. But as soon as they did. I shut the ramp and started the plane. I was so excited! I grabbed the throttles and gave them a little power. Slowly the plane rolled forewords. I began to taxi to the end if the runway and align myself for takeoff. Not only was I about to fly a super plane, but I was about to fly a super plane with my wonderful car to tag along. Then finally, the air traffic controller gave me the all clear and I gave the plane full throttle. It picked up speed in no time at all. Gaining more as it zoomed down the runway. Finally I felt the front move upward, so I pulled back and up we went. The jet handled like a dream. It was amazing. Then air traffic control gave me my instructions," exceed an altitude of 38,000 feet and then come back down". So with that being said I soon began the climb to 38,000 feet. Occasionally I would get turbulence and have to hang on for a sec, but it would pass pretty quick. After about 30 minutes of flight I got caught in the middle of a storm. Most pilots would usually pass around them, but air traffic control radioed me to stay on route. So I did .
The storm started to get worse so I thought I should radio the airport. I grabbed the radio and began to speak . " this is aircraft 478nh558, I am requesting permission to land". There was no answer. " hello?" I asked into the radio. Still there was nothing. Suddenly the plane was rocked violently, almost throwing me out of my seat. I began to worry about how my car was holding up in the back. Then I heard an alarm going off. I looked and saw it was a emergency warning light. Then there was a second violent Jolt, this one harder than the last. The plane suddenly pulled down. I started to fight it by pulling back on the wheel. I heard the emergency equipment doing its little alarm thing saying " pull up, pull up". Oh believe me, I'm trying, I thought to myself! Then the plane dropped below the cloud layer. It was pitch black, like flying through the void. Then it hit me, "where are the city lights?". They were hard to miss at night. Then slowly the plane started pulling up, when another alarm went off. It was indicating that all four engines had failed and I was now gliding. I had to really fight for this monster to stay in the air. Anytime i let go of the wheel, the plane would go down. According to altimeter, I was only at an altitude of 300 feet and I wanted to avoid getting closer. then I noticed lights in the distance closing fast. They were coming from a town. I suddenly realized that if I continued to glide I would plow right into it and hurt other people!! So I decided to make a hard decision. I would put the monster plane down. I was already at 98 feet and closing so its not like it was going to be a hard fireball-consuming crash. So with the lights only about 500 feet away, I puched the wheel down slightly watching the numbers on the altimeter wind down. Then I was suddenly thrown from my chair into the windshield shattering it. Everything went in slow motion for a sec then sped right back up. I felt a sharp pain on my back and forehead as the sound of earth and scraping metal drowned out my screams. then it stopped. Everything was still. I was wondering if I was I heaven yet, then it hit me, I was alive. I had survived a plane crash. Then slowly, pain began to flood my mind. I slowly closed my eyes and tried to relax, only to sleep, On the dash of the jet liner.
As I awakened, I didn't really comprehend what had happened. My mind was still spinning from the plane crash. I could see out the know broken cockpit windscreen, and could tell it had to be somewhere around morning. As I gathered the strength to get myself on the ground, I could feel pain everywhere in my body. My back, head, chest, hands and feet, they all hurt. " oh please let nothing be broken" I thought to myself. With that on my mind, i slowest sat up, and to my Suprise, nothing was severely injured. Even though nothing seemed to be broken, It felt as if my entire body was shadered, and then thrown around. Then I remembered, " I was in a plane. That's exactly what happened". Then it hit me. My car was still in the back!!! At least I hoped it was! I got up fast, only to collapse from pain. But I new I had to make sure the car was ok. I got back on my feet, and began to work to the back of the plane.
As I swung open the door, I saw my cobra still there, anchored down to the plane along with some other boxes and crates that the Boeing company had loaded up here. " oh thank GOD!!!" I thought to myself. That car was an important part of me. It was the last thing my father left me before he passed. It was also the last father-son project we did together. The car had sentimental value, like a part of him was always in the car, and where I go, it goes with me. i was really close to my dad, and I haven't seem to let him go. But know that I knew the car was safe, I could focus on the next task on hand, figuring out where I am.
I thought it would be best to open one of the crates and see what inside . Maybe there was something that could help me get help. As I approached the first box, I saw on the lid labeled in big black others across the top, "PROPERTY OF THE U.S. MILITARY". "Well" I thought to myself, "not any more it's not". I grabbed the lid of the crate and began to lift up on it. It came off slow due to he nails holding it down, but it wasn't to much for me to handle. Once I got the lid off and sat it to the side, I looked inside the box and was surprised at what I saw. The box was full of MRE's bottled water a couple of assault rifles and some ammunition. I reached into the box and pulled out the rifle. I had never held one before. It was surprisingly heavier than I had imagined. I decided the best option would be to put the things in the trunk of the cobra and drive it around for faster transport. Do with my plan decided, I gathered up some supplies, some water and a couple of MRE's, and an assault rifle, and stuck them in the trunk of the cobra. Then I walked over to the ramp switch( which surprisingly enough still worked) and turned it, lowering the ramp to the cargo bay. It went down just enough to allow the car to back out.
As I backed out I looked at the plane. It was pretty banged up. As I drove around it I got a better view of the situation I was in. The left wing had snapped leaving it lately attached to the planes body. The base of the body was covered in dents, holes, and scrapped paint. The front had to be at least 7 feet into the ground, and the nose was torn off exposing the interior metal and wiring. As I came around the front of the plane I could see a small town no more than 100 yards away! I decided that would be my best option. So I drove off that direction, thinking maybe I could call or radio for help.
The town was a little over 5 minutes away from my airplane. Except this didnt look like a town i had ever seen in Oklahoma before. The houses were white with pink and had hay roofing. I stopped the car and let it idle for a bit while I scanned around. The town seemed to be empty. No noises, no people, and no there sounds of cars around. I continued to drive around, looping passed a circular building in the center of town. I began to head back, when suddenly I noticed a door open on one of the buildings. I decided to pull my car up, get out and go inside. The building itself was designed to look like a cake. As I walked into the building, I could here voiced fall owed by shushing, indicating someone was here. I knocked a few times on the counter,"hello? I'm not here to hurt anyone, I just need directions" I said trying to sound as nice as possible. I waited there for about a minute when I heard the sound of a seining door. I turned just to see a purple pony-thing walk up to the counter. " hello " it said. "I can help you find directions" it said to me. And it was at that moment, that I dropped my shit and bolted for my car. I don't care what just happened, but all I know is that I think I will be living in my plane for a while. I rushed back to the big jet, put my car back in, shut the ramp, and bolted into one if the no wrecked pilots quarters. I was in there for about an hour until I heard a knock on the door.thinking it could be a human, I bolted to the planes door. I grabbed the lever, and opened the door, only to see the purple freak standing there. I fell backwards as it started to walk In. "Oh, please don't be afraid" it said In a nice tone. "WHO ARE YOU!?!?!" I shouted. The thing looked at me funny for a sec, then smiled saying " oh, my name is twilight sparkle, and you my friend, look like you need help"
