//-------------------------------------------------------// Shining Stars -by luna the writer- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Glitch Wings //-------------------------------------------------------// Glitch Wings "Aaaugh!" I shouted. My wings were dragging me out the window and into the air. I continued to scream until eventually my voice hurt and I was to petrified to speak. Higher and higher I went until the ponies in the park were specks. There the altitude increase stopped and I was headed for Canterlot. A second look at it all and I realized it was beautiful. Hours passed until my wings flew me through a window and...:raritydespair: //static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/raritydespair.png...right...into...the magic-alternate world-mirror-that-is-weird-in-my-mind. A glow, a magical noise, and a portal later I sat on the grass. I tried to stand up and looked at my hooves. "AAUGH!" They were gone, replaced with those skinny things they call 'legs'. Ick. Having knowledge of what Twilight went through, I stood up, brushed off my now strangely longer mane, and walked into the building they call Canterlot High. Students talked and walked, carrying books and laptops. Rushing off to classes was often and teachers walked around with derp looks on their faces like they had just read a lifetime of memes. I tried to keep up, but every time I was late. I didn't know that I was going to stay there, and what was in store for me much later in time. //-------------------------------------------------------// Under Our Spell //-------------------------------------------------------// Under Our Spell Okay, so I was going about my day. I had been at Canterlot High for about a month and adapting to it nicely. Grades were OK, I guess. Not a good subject to really talk about.  Anyways these weird-acting girls came in. They were singing something about "Failing the audition" and crap like that. What audition? Who says I was joining the musical showcase? I didn't, but they seemed to have a sort of weird influence on all the students. When they walked in and sang, everyone just started fighting, just like that. I didn't know. Then after Twilight, Sunset, and the Rain-booms defeated them in an ultimate music battle, they weren't completely nice after that. They bullied people, continued to dress how they did before...and had attempted to repair their pendants to no avail. They were worse than Sunset used to be, and I felt it was in my power to stop them somehow. Of course, after the first try I felt stupid. They laughed in my face and then continued to saunter about the school like they owned the place. No wonder they were such a threat to Equestria. //-------------------------------------------------------// Attempted Defeation //-------------------------------------------------------// Attempted Defeation "You-You'll never get away with this!" I shouted. Adagio laughed maniacally. "Riiight, city girl." "How-how did you k-know?" "Know what? Lots of people live in Manhattan." "Oh, um...right. Yeah." And with that, Adagio, Sonata, and Aria sauntered away. I facepalmed for about 10 minutes. Later that evening I strolled through the city they called "Manhattan" instead of Manehattan. It seemed like home except for the humans everywhere. Bright lights shone through the windows of tall skyscrapers and silhouettes of people were in the windows also. Cars zoomed by, which amazed me at the time because in Equestria we had carriages instead. //-------------------------------------------------------// Face in the Dust //-------------------------------------------------------// Face in the Dust Well, that chapter name is what I felt, anyway. The Dazzlings were so bratty and spoiled. They slept in the library like Sunset Shimmer already did and Twilight Sparkle used to. I don't know how I know this. But one night I snuck in and watched them  in their sleep. Adagio mumbled things like "No" and "I didn't mean to." At that moment, I felt terrible. But after that I realised they were still mean. Maybe Adagio was having dreams about what she wished she was? //-------------------------------------------------------// Wonderful Summer //-------------------------------------------------------// Wonderful Summer The summertime sun shone down on Manehattan. The buildings grazed the sky and the hum of lawnmowers in the park hummed. I heard scream and a beating of wings. Apparently I had bumped into some-pony. I looked up and noticed Derpy flying in the air, giving me an evil eye which was hard to look mean because of her derp eyes. I stifled a giggle and continued walking. Ponies thought I was popular. Just because I earned my cutie mark at a way early age doesn't mean I'm special. Really, I hated all the extra attention. Ponies corwding around me. No. Just...no. I walked into the intermediate school. Ponies laughed and snickered. "What--" "Haven't you heard? Don't you know you got an F on a history test and it's in the paper?" Tears filled my eyes. Who in Equestria would give the reporters that for the school paper? Everyone snickered. "Cocoa the dunce!" Over and over and over again. "Stop! Just stop!" I cried. Then I galloped the heck out of there in hopes of not running into the teacher on my way home. My mother made me a sandwich and told me to talk about it. But my words came out in chokes, and after awhile I gave up. I flew up to my room and gazed out the window. Butterflies flittered, birds chirped, and the happy laughter of fillies sounded from the local and only park in Manehattan which happened to be right outside our window. Suddenly, I felt a tingle in my wings. //-------------------------------------------------------// Home Sweet Home //-------------------------------------------------------// Home Sweet Home I really missed my mom. She was the only one I missed, although I missed Manehattan very much.:ajsleepy: //static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/ajsleepy.png So I went through the portal not knowing Adagio, Aria, and Sonata had seen me go through the portal and followed me. I flew as fast as my wings could carry me to the apartment building my mom lived in but screeched to a halt when I saw the windows boarded up, ivy growing up the sides of the walls. I checked the street name. 2703 Glengent avenue. Right address, right zip code. I looked down on the sidewalk and saw my mother walking away from the house with a cart with all her belongings. "Mom! Mom, it's me, Coca!" She looked up. "Cocoa? My darling? Is that you?" I nodded. She unfolded her large wings and flew up to join me.
