Keyboard Click was sitting on his couch in the living room, eating some Pizza Rolls and happily playing Legend of Celestia: Nightmare Moon on his beloved PC. He grinned as he made the yellow-maned colt on the screen defeat yet another minion of the evil Nightmare Moon with a few button taps and Joystick tilts.

The unicorn knew that he had school later, but he had gotten up early and was unaware of how little time remained until the dreaded beginning of the new school year. Keyboard Click continued levitating his controller until he heard his little brother, Windy Field, enter the living room and sit on the couch.

Keyboard Click sat the controller down on the couch and turned to his brother. Windy Field was around 2 years younger than him, and was starting the third grade this year. He had a teal mane, sapphire-like eyes, and a cream coat. He was also a pegasus, and as a result had two tiny wings on both sides of his body. "Click, you DO know that it's 7:00, right?" Windy Field asked, giving his brother an inquisitive look.

Windy Field's older brother responded by facehoofing and replied, "Are you serious? Nopony told me..."

The little pegasus sighed. "Whatever. Click, just get ready for school and come back here. Dad's going to take us to school, so we need to leave by 7:15 to get there on time."

Keyboard Click sighed back and went to the bathroom to brush his teeth and freshen up. Once he arrived at his destination, he quickly brushed his mane while looking at himself in the mirror. The pony standing in front of him had an emerald green mane, gold eyes, and a light gray coat. He finished brushing his mane (which was still a bit messy afterwards) and brushed his teeth. After a few minutes of fluoride application, the young colt returned to the living room.

"Alright, I'm back," Keyboard Click announced, "Can you get Dad?" The unicorn stared at his little brother, waiting for him to move.

The colt in question removed himself from the couch and looked at his brother. "Why can't you do it? You're really lazy, Keyboard Click."

Keyboard Click was starting to get impatient. "Just do it this time, okay? All you have to do is walk into Dad's room, tell him we have to go, and we can leave." You were pretty ready to go earlier... The colt thought to himself.

"Alright, alright." The winged foal laughed. He walked to his parents' room and opened the door. He entered the room and found his pegasus father, Platinum, sitting at his computer.

"Good mornin', Dad!" Windy Field exclaimed. "I just thought you should know that it's time to go."

The stallion turned around and smiled at his son. He had an emerald green mane like his son, sky blue eyes, and a dark gray coat. "Okay, Windy. Is Keyboard Click ready yet? He always gets wrapped up in his games and then shows up late to school..."

Platinum's younger son nodded. "Yeah, he got up early to play games but ended up getting lost in their charm."

Platinum wasn't surprised. His older son would always get in trouble about stuff like this. He stopped thinking to himself and simply stated, "Yep, that's Click."

After a few minutes, the trio of ponies arrived at Ponyville's school. In the schoolyard, Platinum turned to face his children. "Well, we're here. Your mom will come by and take you home after work.  Have a nice first day, okay?"

The two colts looked at their father and happily stated "We will, Dad!" in unison, before walking towards their school.

Keyboard Click decided to talk to his brother some more, since they wouldn't see each other again for 6 hours. "So..." the gray unicorn inquired, "...are you excited about going into the third grade?"

Windy Field looked at his brother, puzzled. "Why are you asking me that? Of course I'm excited."

The older colt looked embarrassed. "I don't know, I guess I don't want another school year to pass by without anything good happening. I don't really get along with other foals well, you know? None of them really share my interests, and it makes it hard to talk to them."

"It's okay bro, I know you can do it. Just try to find some other gamer foals and you'll feel better." The young pegasus stated optimistically.

Keyboard Click smiled. "You know bro, you're pretty mature for your age."

Windy Field smiled back, as he was about to enter the school house. "I know."
