Maybe It Is Her

"Rainbow are y-you feeling alright?" Fluttershy asked.

"What? Why the hell am I here? I should be out with Applejack! Kissing... Kissing her..." Rainbow's voice fell. Fluttershy gave her a unsure look, feeling a bit jealous. But the shy pegasus pushed that feeling away quickly, worrying more about her friend.

"You passed out when you were singing with Applejack." Fluttershy yawned, glancing at her clock. "It is ten PM, you been passed out for two hours. I was getting worried... Here let me brew you some tea."

"No, no! It is fine! I feel perfectly fine, I don't need any tea, but thanks for the offer, Flutters."

"Oh, but, Rainbow..." Fluttershy said concerned. Rainbow just nodded. "Alright, but isn't there anything else I could help you with?"

"Um, nah I'm fine," Rainbow bit her lips. "Wait, nah I take that back... Can we talk?"

Fluttershy's ears perked, smiling. She was glad to hear her friend ask for help of some sort. Made Fluttershy feel good knowing somehow she could help. "Y-yes, of couse! What is it?" Fluttershy asked, sitting next to her friend.

Rainbow sighed, smiling. "I think I'm falling for Applejack. I-I don't know why but I just want to kiss her so badly..." Rainbow said dreamly.

Fluttershy's eyes popped open, not expecting such a response to come out of her friend. It already felt very unusual for her friend to openly speak out feelings like this. She knew Rainbow was serious, judging by the look on her face and the fact that she was saying this. "Applejack? She's a great friend, I can see why," Fluttershy smiled.

"Y-yeah, me and her were about to kiss... But I just you know..." Rainbow laughed nervously. "Am here now, and maybe if I just kissed her these feelings can go away, and everything can go back to normal."

"Rainbow, I don't think it works like that..."

"Sure it does! I mean I want a new marefriend, but it can't be Applejack!" Rainbow smiled, knowing it never will work out.

"Huh?"

"Let me explain, I want a marefriend, but I can't get her with these feelings for Applejack... Heck, I myself don't even understand them myself!"

"R-Rainbow, Applejack can be that mare..."

"Hah! Nice joke, but she can't. She is a pretty mare and awesome friend, but come on! She's too hard to keep up with, even for me! And you know your the only pony I can ever admit this to!" Rainbow looked her seriouly dead in the eyes.

"I'm not sure what to say..." Fluttershy said feeling bad. She wish she had a beter answer for Rainbow. She dearly wanted to help her, but she couldn't not with this. "Rainbow, you need to figure this out yourself. I'm sorry, I just don't understand nor can really give you a good answer."

"Ugh, whatever! Maybe I do!" Rainbow said annoyed. She fell back, sighing really loudly. This was going to be one long ass night.

The next day...

"Hey, Rainbow!" Applejack called out, pulling the mare in for a random reason. Rainbow froze, not knowing what to do. She quickly hugged her back and let go really fast.

"Uh, h-hey, Applejack..." Rainbow blushed. She smiled widely, scratching her head.

"That performance of yers was quite good! Ah didn't think yer was such a good singer and heck, even performer! It was mighty awesome how yer faked that faint and got Fluttershy to take ya away! It was like it was planned perfectly, heh." Applejack said, blushing slightly. She smiled, thinking that maybe if Rainbow hadn't "faked" that faint she could have kissed her. She liked the thought secretly.

"O-oh, yeah..." Rainbow's smile fell, feeling a bit of relief, but yet still bad. She wish she knew how she really was feeling. Those horrible mixed feelings came into her stomach, feeling a knot tighten inside her. "Hey, AJ?"

"Yes?" Applejack gave her friend a smug.

"I, uh..." Rainbow blushed, acting dumbly. Hoping this mare would just kiss her already. She couldn't find it in her voice to say it though.

"Well, what is it sugarcube? Come ya can spit it out!" Applejack said a bit concerned. She trotted a bit close to her friend, putting her hoof around Rainbow Dashes shoulder.

"God dang it!" Rainbow smiled, laughing to herself. She looked away, not daring to stare into her friends eyes. She knew if she laid her eyes one more time on AJ she wouldn't be able to control herself.

"Sugarcube, are ya alrigt?"

"Yes! I-I am..." Rainbow smiled. Applejack shrugged, belieiving her friend. Rainbow then stared back at her friend, smiling at her. "Hey, let's go for a walk."

"Alright, Ah have been meaning to walk later this week anyways. Ah been so busy bucking apple trees, haven't been able to do much."

"Well come on! Let's go," Rainbow said. She smiled, hoping these funny feelings in stomach would fade away. Those two then began walking together slowly. Rainbow's feeling seemed to become more clear to her in their awkard silence. Whatever the heck was happening she knew that she felt something that she shouldn't feel just for a friend. Rainbow laughed to herself, thinking hard about it. She could be the one.
