Deep within the Dublin mountains lies the base of the Celtic Ninjas, a group of inter-universal travellers/ superheroes. Twelve strong these heroes represented the twelve elements of nature: Connor Fitzpatrick the spirit of Earth, Tasha Mooney the spirit of Air, Brendan McCarthy the spirit of Fire, Lauren Coffey the spirit of Water, James O'Brien the spirit of Rock & Thunder, Robert Farrell the spirit of Ice, Jean Fitzsimmons the spirit of Light, Ailing Cooling Nolan the spirit of the Forest, Thomas Ryan the spirit of Metal, Noor Kashif the spirit of Crystal, Mirium Verdon the spirit of Sand and Raymond Garcia the spirit of Plazma.
These twelve have been friends for years. They all grew up in the small town of Bray. They all attended the same school St Killian's Secondary school (high school). They all discovered their powers at the same time as well. What are there powers? Enhanced speed, strength and agility: the power to slow down, speed up or even stop time: the power to open portals to any time and place such as the Marvel universe or the DC universe; however their strangest power is the ability to duplicate another heroes skill and power though physical contact similar to Rouges ability from the X-men only without the negative consequences. They have been on many adventures, had extraordinary encounters, had fun and made fond memories, and suffer pain and loss together as one. At a certain pound they realised they weren't just a team of just friends they were a family and as strange at their family may bee they have always stuck together.
Robert was busy working on an experiment that he said would change all their lives forever.
"What exactly are you working on Rob?" James asked with a high level of curiosity. "If my math is correct, which it is . then this device will amplify our own portals in such a way that we can reach other Dimensions. " Robert answered with a look of smugness on his face. "But if your math is wrong then this could potentially kill us and half the country in the most horrific way possible." Tasha said a worried look spreading across her face. "There is nothing wrong with my math. Lets start this puppy up." Robert said activating the controls. "Shouldn't you run preliminary tests before activating the potential death machine?" Connor asked with a concerned look on his face. "Everyone's a critic. Brendan could you open the portal please." Robert said with a tone that said I hate you all. "Let the record show that I won't be held responsible for any negative consequences regarding the death machine." Brendan said with a wide grin forming. The portal was opened within the device and it appeared stable.
Suddenly the alarms started blaring and lights started flashing. "What's going on! What did you do Rob!?" Noor yelled with a combination of fear and anger. "The portals destabilizing! The power levels are rising! It's gonna blow!" Robert cried looking at the readouts from the portal. "You forget to compensate for the ion charge coming from the portal didn't you?" Lauren accused but Rob didn't reply he only had a look of shock and defeat. "Quick! Turn the machine off before Ireland becomes the next Chernobyl ! Thomas commanded but John quietly explained "I can't. The portal has become self sustaining now. There's no way to shut it down. We're all doomed.". "Well in that case I guess there's only one thing left to say." Ray said calmly resigned to his fate. "It has been an honour fitting along side all of you." Jean said managing to clam everyone down. "The machine is reaching critical mass. This is it!" Aisling yelled. The machine then exploded in a blinding white light and then everything went dark.
