Well here I am, on a battlefield fighting alongside my brothers to defend the last fire keeper in this world. I never thought she was one, but when fate tosses you into another world and speaks to you in an ominous voice you tend not to question it. I never could have seen this coming when we all met, but somehow I knew that it was leading up to this. One big final battle to determine this worlds fate, sounds a little cliche to me. I’m just reminding myself that’s how a lot of battles in movies take place, but only...this wasn’t a movie, this is real life. We could actually lose this battle and have this would plunged into darkness. That’s something I wouldn’t let happen and I knew my brothers did to. As I look at my brothers fighting beside me I can’t help, but think about the time when we all met: confused, battered, and broken people that never had a purpose but to live as a citizen of the world.  We weren’t always brothers but the day that we found a true purpose in life, our lives we treated each other like brothers.

My life wasn’t great and the others weren’t as well. I was abused as a child by my father, mother had left us when she couldn’t take my dads drinking problem. She tried to take me with her, but during their time in court I was left with my dad. Crazy I know, but during this time my mother didn’t really have a plan where to live and she did have a smoking problem. She never smoked one cigarette around me, because she knew it hurt me to see her like that. My fathers’ mother took care of me while dad was out working for the day so the judge thought it best if I stayed with them. For the longest time I thought I hated my father, anybody probably would but in the end I realized I didn’t hate him. I hated his choices in life, he was a good person before he started drinking. To this day I still wonder what could have happen to make him drink as he does now. I wish I could tell you about my brothers, but their past doesn’t need to be told by anyone but them.

I’m glad someone could hear this story for I may fall in this battle and not tell it myself. It’s about time to know huh? My name before I came to this world is lost in my past, but I hope my new name will be remembered till the end of the world.

I rubbed my head in pain as a headache threaten to split my skull apart. I didn’t feel my  regular hand rubbing my head but a metal hand rubbing instead. I opened my eyes slowly to notice that I was wearing gauntlets. I then noticed a metal helmet similar to a bird with a long bluish rag attached to the back of it, It had a bluish hood as well. I slowly got to my feet while a quiet clanging came from my body. I looked down to see my armored body.

The hell, what happened to me? What did I do? Where did I go?

I looked around and noticed I was in some kind of forest. The sun looked like it was about noonish. I walked slowly to the helmet and picked it up. A small scroll fell from it and onto the ground. I knelt down on my knees and grabbed it. I unrolled it and saw it was for me… well kind of.

Dear the being that woke up near this scroll,

I know that you are questioning about how you got here, why you're here and why you can’t remember how you got here. I ask you that you don’t worry about it I brought you here because this world is in trouble, I can sense it. Which is why I called upon you to go and protect the fire keeper in this world. She is the last and only one for this world and if she dies this worlds fire will fade and die. Find her. Protect her with your blade and powers. I know who you are, I know you wish to find a purpose in life. Think of this a purpose. The fate of this world rest in your and the others hands.

P.S. Good luck

F.

I was shock to think that I might be on a different world, but I dismissed it as a prank until I heard a growl coming from behind me. I slowly turned my head, what I saw made me fall on my rear. I saw a lion like creature with a scorpion tail, blue wings, and a red mane. I slowly crawl away as the creature came closer until my back hit a tree. I felt a weird lump on my back as I slowly stood up against the tree. I reached behind me and felt a handle, I pulled it out and had a four foot blade. I grabbed my helmet and place it on my head.

“Alright lion thing, I have a sword and I’m not afraid to use it.” I said waving it in front of me.

The beast leaped at me with teeth wide open, I swung my blade as hard as I could to my left and found myself spinning around quickly in a circle. The creature was caught on my first hit in the chest then was stunned by the pain as I spun around four more times. On the fifth time the creature was flung backward into a tree and broke it in half. The creature stood up and ran away whimpering.

Whoa, that was cool! How did I do that?

“Hello, anyone out there!” said a far off voice.

“Yeah, Over Here!” I shouted

“Who’s over there!” A voice shouted from behind me a ways.

“Who are you guys!” another voice said to the left of me.

“All of you guys come towards me!” yet another voice said to the right of me.

I sheathed my sword and walked toward the voice as he went on single us with ‘Over here’ and ‘Heys’. I was the first one to find him, what was in front of me took me by surprise. I saw a guy wearing golden armor and a triangle on top of his helmet, I couldn’t see his face though the dark upside W hole in his helmet. He was carrying a giant bell at the end of a staff. He moved his bell staff at me in a threatening pose.

“Friend or foe?” he asked me.

“Friend.” I answered.

He lowered his staff and stuck his staff in the ground and clapped his hands together still making noise for the others. A person appeared though a the thick forest. This one was wearing maroon armor that resembled samurai armor. He was carrying a long katana on his belt. A long feather that almost reached the ground was coming from the back of his head.

“Amazing, nice armor.” the marron guy complemented.

“Thanks.” a guy said from behind me.

This guy was even more intimidating than the guy with the bell. He wore black raggy armor and was wielding two swords. One sword was black with a raven on it and the other one was...bigger and wider than him and he was carrying it like it was nothing.

“Seems like you're compensating for something.” a fourth guy said coming out of some brush.

“Hahaha, I knew someone would say that. I woke up with his thing on my back.”

Another guy that wore golden armor came out to forest his helmet looked like a lions head and with a spiky gold mane. He was carry a long spear with him.

“Hey, you guys, promise you won’t laugh when you see me?” said a voice behind a tree.k

“Why?” bell guy said.

“Just don’t laugh please.” said the guy.

He slowly came out from behind a tree. He too was wearing golden armor and he held a giant hammer. I held my hand to mouth from laughing out loud. You’d think that see a guy with a giant hammer the size of him, but what I was laughing because of his armor. The helmet of the armor had a tiny head on top and a giant body. Said body was very fat and also had molded...man boobs.

The guy with the big sword lost his composure and was laughing as loud as he could. Shortly after the rest of us lost it.

“Oh god he so fat. HAHHAHA.” the samurai said.

“Look it even has nipples.” said the spear guy droppin his spear and clutching his sides.

“HAHAHA.” laughed bell guy.

“We all show up looking badass than this guy comes along.” laughed the giant sword guy….I really need to know these guys names.

“I’m surpised his weapons aren’t a big knife and a fork.” the samurai said.

The fat guy folded his arms together as we laughed. Once we calmed down the bell guy spoke up.

“Ah, I needed that. If you guys are done, do any of you know where we are?”

“No idea.” I answered.

“All I have is this.” the samurai said taking out a scroll.

“Was is signed by F?” I asked.

“Yeah.”

“Let me guess I was talking about protecting the firekeeper.” the big sword guy said.

“Well I think this all bullcrap.” the spear guy said.

“I don’t think so.” I said.

“Do you have proof this isn’t fake.”

“Watch this.”

I backed up a few feet drew my sword and swung it to the left as hard as I could. I did the five spins again at a high speed and then regain my balance. They all just stood there with their mouth open. I sheathed my sword and crossed my arms together.

“Now do you think that it’s a joke,” I said smugly.

“Well...if that’s true that means we have to find the firekeeper.” bell guy said.

“What are we going to do when we find her?” asked the fat man...what I a to name him something during the time.

“Protect her, keep her safe from harm,” the samurai said.

“Why should we do that?” Asked the long sword guy.

“This world will be swallowed in darkness and will die,” answered the bell guy.

“How about we don’t do this.”

“If this mysterious F brought us here and gave me the ability to do this with my sword I think she/he could do something terrible to us if we disobey this,” I said.

“I agree with...what’s your name?” bell guy asked.

“My name is-” I started.

“Hey, wait if this is a new world and this is our new lives for now why should are old names be involved.” the long sword guy said.

“That’s a good idea, not only for that but it would keep are real identities hidden.” bell guy said.

“Then my name will be Sir Alonne.” the samurai spoke up.

“Good, my name will be Raime,” the long sword guy said.

“I’m Velstadt.” bell guy said

“Ornstein,” the spear guy said.

“Smough,” fat man said.

They all looked at me as I tried to think of my new name. An idea came to mind as a smirk.

“My name is...Artorias.”

“Let us mark this day as the day we came together in brotherhood,” Velstadt said putting his bell staff in the middle of all of use.

“Brothers? I’ve always wanted a brother. Now I have five!” Raime said putting his big sword on top of Velstadts’ staff.

“We are brothers.” Sir Alonne said putting his katana down on Raimes’ sword.

“Now.” Ornstein said laying his spear on Alonnes’ blade.

“And forever,” I said as I laid my sword on Ornsteins’ spear.

We all looked at Smough who debating on this. He eventually gave in and put his hammer gently on top of my sword.

“I’ll do it, if you guys don’t laugh at my armor,” he said as all of us nodded.

“Till we die, we are brothers,” Velstadt said with pride.

We all smiled under our helmets and raise our weapons to the sky. I knew that my life was going to be a lot more interesting.

And did it ever. Just look at me now fighting in this battle with my brothers. It wasn’t all well after that meeting, yeah sure there was some rough spots but we all pulled through together. Even now was I used my spinning move against armored Changelings, shadows, and bat ponies, while Velstadt crushes shadows with his bell ‘hammer’ (as I found out later) around me. Sir Alonne splits some Changelings right in two with his long katana, while Smough runs down bat ponies around Alonne. Raime swings his sword in a wide arc around him as Ornstein charges though shadows with his spear.

Sometimes I think to myself, How lucky am I to have these guys. I am grateful that we came together, even though sometimes they can get on my nerves but in a way there like real siblings to me.

We came up with a plan when we met. It was find a town, ask anyone if they knew who the firekeeper was, got to her, and protect her until we are told from F that we severed our purpose. Not the best plan, but it was the only one we had. When we were done with talking we decide to pick a random direction and start walking. During this time Velstadt had became the leader of our group, I never said I didn’t like it and neither did anyone else. We were so prepared to execute our plan, but we never were prepared what we saw when we approached a town.
