Where was I? How did I get here? Suddenly, the lights flashed on and nearly blinded me. I cover my eyes so I don't get that outcome. I slowly put down my hands and glance around the room. My eyes capture every detail of this room; There's a sink, toilet, a metal door, and, of course, the bed I'm now sitting on. Kind of looks like a jail cell with the dark concrete walls. Then I hear a creak and look at the door. My eyes widen at what I saw. A pony.. "Stay still." It said in a masculine voice. I feel like I was going to faint, and I nearly did until my head hit the concrete wall. I am going to guess that it's a "he" because of the masculine voice. I looked at the the pony, only to see he was just three feet away from my face, so I jumped back. Ever thought of personal space? Well, at least I can see it better. He has a black mane and a grey coat with wings, his eyes were freakishly huge and scary because they looked like golden snake eyes, and he had a tattoo of a red lightning bolt with grey wings on its flank. "Listen," He said sternly. "We have to go, no questions, just follow me." He signaled me to follow, but I just sat there, shocked that he could talk. A talking pony! I mean seriously, could life get any stranger? "Are you deaf? Let's go!" He said hurriedly. "Who are you?" I asked curiously, looking at the slightly opened metal door and back at the pony. He groaned and looked at me with anger. "My name is Black Night, and you're in a prison in Canterlot. Now get your ass up and get out the door!" "Fine, fine. Just asking, jeez." I said with a joking face. He just glared at me, a frown spread across his face. I walked out the door and he slowly followed, closing it quietly. "Which way?" I asked the Black Night, glancing at him. "Go left." He said, sticking to the dark while I walked in the center of the hallway. "What do you think you're doing?" A masculine voice behind us asked. I slowly turned to face the voice, and saw that it was another pony, only dressed in gold armor. "Um... Walking towards... the... exit." I said with a sheepish smile on my face. "No, you're going back to your cell, where you belong." He said, eyeing me from head to toe. "Why?" I asked. "Because, you're an unknown species that could possibly threaten all of ponykind and conquer our planet." He said with a higher voice. "Now, you head on back to your cell or else I'll use lethal force!" He practically yelled at me. I flinched and to a few steps back, then I saw a dark figure appear behind the guard. It was Black Night. He grabbed onto the guards chin and cranium and snapped the guards neck like a glow stick. I jumped back in fear, slowly walking backwards. "What?" he asks, "He was going to kill you if you didn't comply so, what did I do? I killed him." He says, a grin slowly creeping across his face. I just stared at the now dead guard with pity. "Let's go, don't want anymore showing up." He said hurriedly as he headed towards the dark shadows. I start walking with him a few feet, then look back at the dead guard. "What would happen if I did comply and headed back to my cell?" I asked. "What would happen," he says angrily, looking back at me. "Is that he would take you back to your cell and you would stay there until your scheduled execution day, where I would be watching you get blasted to bits by Unicorns." He said, looking forward and sighing. My eyes widened as I realized what a stupid idea it'd be if I agreed. "Thank you for killing him then." I said sadly. "No problem. But before we do anymore escaping, let me cover some rules with you." He says, turning to face me. "First of all, you will listen to me while we're escaping this prison. Two, you will not ask any questions or look at anypony until we reach my home in Ponyville. Three, you are not allowed to leave my sight unless I say so. Got it?" He asks, looking me expectantly. "Deal." I say grinning. "Good, now take these, and follow me." He tosses a cloak over to me, long enough to cover my face and body. We soon exit the prison and walk into a bustling city. Full of ponies eyeing me curiously. "Don't make eye contact." Black Night whispered. I listened and throughout the whole city, I stayed quiet without looking around. Damn I'm good at following orders. We soon came to a stop at a train station. You know when you feel like you're the center of attention? Well I am right now because people are staring at me with disgust written all over their faces. I cover my head with the hood of the cloak. The conductor yells, "All aboard!" We hop onto the train and find seats. I wish I wasn't so tall because I have to lean down in order not to touch the ceiling with my head. It takes an hour or two to reach our destination. What a boring ride. "Come on," He says. "This is our stop." I follow him off the train and into a open area. There's a sign that's in a weird language I can't understand. Black Night looks at me then follows my eyes and sees what I'm looking at. "That says, 'Welcome to Ponyville' by the way." He says, looking at me jokingly. I nod and follow him through Ponyville. Now I know that it sounds small, but it's huge here. I mean, it looks like someone took Portland and shoved it into this world. Seriously, this place is gigantic. I feel something poke my leg. I look down only to see Black Night looking up at me. He looks pissed. "Remember the rules? What happened to rule number two?" He asks, anger in his eyes. "Sorry, just got caught in the moment." I say, a sheepish grin spreading across my face. "Follow me and do not, and I repeat DO NOT look around or else I'll beat the crap out of you in the open. Understand?" He asks angrily. "Fine." I say, and proceed to follow him. We come up to a large house about the size of a giant gingerbread house I passed earlier. Sugarcube Corner I think it was? I don't know. Black Night walks over to the door and knocks on it hard. "It's me, and I got the thing." He says, as he glances back at me. "Ok, just a minute." A voice behind the door says. I can hear a clop clop clop coming towards the door. The door slowly opens, and a head pops out. "Oh, hey Black Night. Give me a second and I'll let you in." The pony says. "Thanks Ruby." Black Night says. I hear the sounds of multiple locks being unlocked. Guess you can't be too safe these days. After twenty seconds of locks unlocking, the door swings open. "Come on in." A Ruby says with a grin. I walk slowly into the house with Black Night, and get a good look around. This house is huge, it looks like it has seven rooms on the first floor. I wonder what the other three have. "Please, sit." The Ruby says looking at me with a grin on her face. I sit in the nearest chair, only to sink into it with comfort. Wow, these chairs are really comfortable, more comfortable than any chair I've sat in back on Earth. Black Night walks over and sits next to me. "Want me to explain why I saved you from the prison?" He asks looking at me questionably. "Sure." I say. "Well," He starts out. "Here's the thing, I saved you because you're a new type of species that could have been killed because of our careless Princesses. We needed to see if you were friendly, and because you would've died if we didn't come. So, the situation for the Princesses are to find you and have you eliminated. Now there are five ponies in this town that are best friends with Princess Twilight Sparkle. Their names are Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, and the one that you'll probably run into first, Rainbow Dash. All of these ponies, plus Princess Twilight, will hunt you down and try to bring you back to the Princesses Celestia and Luna. So, you can wander off whenever you like, but you must not be seen by any of the ponies. Oh, I forgot to describe each of the ponies appearances, Princess Twilight is a lavender pony who's a bookworm and lives in a tree. She is a unicorn and I'm sure you know what that means. Anyway, she has a purple mane with a slight hint of pink in the center. Then there's Applejack is a tan pony who lives on a farm called Sweet Apple Acres. S.A.A. For short. She has a blonde mane and loves to buck apples off trees. Then there's Pinkie Pie who is a party pony that basically defy's the laws of gravity and physics but she is a happy pony who hops around town mostly happy. She has a pink, puffy mane and a pink coat. Now we got Rarity who is probably the most beautiful pony you'll see in this town. She has a purple mane and a white coat. Then there's Fluttershy, probably the one you won't see as often, saying that 'shy' is in her name, so I wouldn't worry about her. But she has a pink mane that hangs over her eyes and a yellow coat. She also has wings. Then that leaves us with Rainbow Dash. She's the fastest pony in all of Equestria and can out-fly and outrun anypony, anytime, anywhere. She has a rainbow mane, cyan coat, and she usually flies around in the sky. So watch out." My mind nearly explodes with all the things I have to remember. "OK, cool. So, what now?" I ask, looking at the two. "Well, I don't know, do whatever you want I guess." Ruby said. I nod and just sit in the chair. Trying to decide what to do. Sleep for now. But tomorrow, there's going to be a lot of fun. Chapter 2: Sweet Apples!I whistle a song as I walk through a street. I know this is a dream, remembering that I fell asleep. I control what happens in my dream, where I go, what I want to see, what I want to hear. I control all of it. In here, the air is cool, it's black out, and I walk along a never ending street. It's so calm, so peaceful. What happens next is the opposite though. A mugger. A man in a black hood and sharp knife. He appears out of nowhere, just like that, a man that appears in thin air. Just because I wanted it. The mugger rushes at me, holding the knife up. I look at him and smile. The best thing is that in here, I'm a God. When he brings the knife down to my shoulder, I disappear and reappear behind him. I grab his shoulder and kick his calf. As I do so, I stop time. I slowly walk over to his hand with the knife and take it out, giving myself the weapon. I smile and start time and watch him collapse to the ground. I smile and kneel down next to him. Now I know that he knows that I have the upper hand. His face goes pale as he realizes what happens next. I smile corruptly as the knife punctures his throat. He grabs onto my arm and tries to pull it away, but it is futile at this point. As I watch the life leave his eyes, I notice something. There's a small glimmer in the reflection of his eye. I put a confused look and turn around. That's when I see a terrifying looking pony, about the height of me. It looks like she's dressed in dark grey armor. Her mane matches that of the stars in the sky. Her coat is a pitch black. I cock my head to the side. I don't remember bringing her into my dream. "Who are you?" I ask impatiently. "I am Princess Luna, and for the safety of my people and all of Equestria, I will eliminate you." She says getting into some sort of stance. My eyes widen when I realize that she is one of the princesses. "Wait!" I yell quickly. She looks at me, frowning as she does so. "What?" She asks impatiently. "Why do you want to kill me? I mean, I don't mean no harm or anything like that to the ponies of this world." I say fearfully. "Because, we've had your kind here plenty of times already. What happens if we let you live is that you run around, commit murders on our subjects, and cause chaos. So what we have to do, is put a memory erase spell on all those who witness it. Also, your kind has a history of lying to us, which is why we are not able to trust you." She says sternly. "Wait, I'm not like those people. I am a trustworthy person, Your Highness." I say, doing my best to be civil. I even put a bow after it. "Well, I can't take your word. So prepare for your elimination!" She yells, charging at me with her horn glowing. My eyes widen and as she's about to hit me, I wake up. I sit up in my bed, breathing heavily. I clutch my chest to make sure that I wasn't stabbed or anything. I sigh with relief, but quickly go back to passing out as I see a little dark red pony sitting on my bed. I slowly awake, feeling uncomfortable. I slowly sit up, yawning. I still am laying in my bed, but this time, there is no little dark red pony. I sigh with relief, happy that I was just dreaming. I hop off my bed and stretch. "You're weird mister." A child's voice said behind me. I jumped with a yipe. I turn around, looking to see what spoke to me. Only to find the same dark red pony that sat on my bed when I woke up the last time. "Who are you exactly?" I ask, studying him closely. It's a dark red coated pony with green eyes and wings, a black mane and tail too. He's about as tall as my foot to my kneecap. "My name is Moonlit Justice. But you can call me Moonlit." He says, giving me a comforting smile. "What's your name mister?" He asks smiling. "Um... My name is Jack." I answer softly. Moonlit sits on the ground and yawns. He studies me closely, catching every detail. "So, where did you come from exactly?" I ask. "I live here mister, and this is now our room. My mom and dad live here too, but I think you met'em already." He says giving me a grin. This kid smiles a bit too much, makes me uncomfortable, I thought. "So your dad is Black Night I'm guessing?" I ask, giving Moonlit a curious look. "Yep, he sure is, and I'm proud to be his son." He says proudly. "And I'm guessing that your mom is Ruby?" I ask. "Yes she is. She's really nice." He says, looking at me with a grin. "OK, well then," I start, giving him a questionable look, "Let's head down to the kitchen and make some breakfast." I say, signaling for the colt to follow. He nods and trots behind me. We leave the room and head down the nearby staircase. We soon enter the kitchen, and see Black Night and Ruby. They both look at us, Black Night keeping a straight face while Ruby smiles. "Hey sweetheart, what's up?" Ruby asks Moonlit, giving him a smile. "Nothing much mom, just meeting the guest." Moonlit says looking up at me with a smile. "OK Moonlit, come sit down, breakfast is nearly ready." Black Night says, smiling at his son. "Sweet! What are we having?" Moonlit asks anxiously, trotting over to Black Night. "Waffles. You know, the ones with chocolate chips in them." He says happily. I the smile on Moonlit's face grew larger, and his eyes grew bigger. "Really? That is so awesome!" He yells, his voice cracking as he does so. Black Night chuckles at the voice crack, but Moonlit just smiles sheepishly. "Don't worry Moonlit, your voice will stop cracking as soon as you turn thirteen. Which, I forgot to remind you, is tomorrow." Black Night says, giving his son a knowing look. "Really? My birthday's tomorrow? Sweet!" He says jumping around happily. "Hey mister! Want to come to my birthday party?" He asks, looking up at me with puppy dog eyes. "Son, come here. I need to tell you something." Black Night says, signaling Moonlit to come to him. Black Night whispers into his ear and the smile on Moonlit's face turns into a sad face. Once they're done, Moonlit's head hangs low as he walks over to me. "Is it true mister? Is it true that the guards are looking for you?" He asks sadly, looking up at me. I look at Black Night who gives me a nod. I look back at Moonlit and nod. He looks at the floor and sighs sadly. He walks over to the table and sits in a chair, his head laying on the table. I feel guilty now. I didn't want to make him sad or anything, but if I did go I would get spotted by one of the Princesses or maybe Twilight's friends and be takin' away. I walk over to the table, and pull up a chair next to Moonlit. He looks at me, tears welling up in his eyes. I look at Black Night, and give him a frown. He just looks at me back, and shakes his head. "He can come, but if he gets captured by guards or anything like that, I'm blaming it on you son." Black Night says angrily. Moonlit smiles and jumps up and down with joy. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Moonlit chants over and over again. I smile at Black Night who has now folded his fore hooves and is looking away, muttering words. Ruby comes over, whispering in his ear and kisses him on the cheek. He sees me staring at him, and he groans. I just smile and look back at Moonlit. Moonlit is sitting and is grinning largely. I bend down and whisper into his ear, "I think I'll get spotted by guards or something but make sure it's the best party ever." He nods happily. "Waffles are done!" Ruby says, placing a plate of waffles in the center of the table. "Would you like a waffle sweetie?" Ruby asks Moonlit. "Yes, please." Moonlit says, nodding as he does so. "OK then, what about you Jack? Think you can dish yourself up?" She asks jokingly. I don't know how she figured out my name, Black Night probably told her or I just forgot that I told her. Either way, doesn't matter. "I can dish myself up, thank you very much." I say with a grin on my face. "OK. What about you Black? Hungry?" She asks with a polite smile. "Yeah, starving really." He says with a joking grin. "OK, seems like everyone's starving now." She says, chuckling to herself. We all dig in, and within seconds, we're all finished up. Not a crumb or waffle was left. We all burp loudly and laugh. "You guys are awesome!" I say with a smile. "Thank you Jack, we think you are too." Ruby answers back. I get up and stretch, feeling and hearing my joints pop. "Well, I am going to go explore Ponyville, see ya'll later." I say, heading towards the door. "Wait!" Black Night yells. "I need you to remember, there are ponies out there that will turn you in for bits. So be careful, please." He says, giving me a worried look. I nod, gripping my cloak and covering my head. Really, I don't know whether or not the ponies looking for me are stupid, because I'm a giant creature, taller than any creature so far, that is in a city roaming around. Anyways, I twist the door nob and head out. I leave the property and head out to wherever I want to go. I decide to look for signs, hoping they point me towards interesting places. I found one. Unfortunately, it is written in the world's language, not English. I sigh, and head down a dirt path. This dirt path has apple trees on it, but they're fenced off. Which means somepony owns it. I shrug and continue down the road. I then see a farm, with a big sign out front that reads "Sweet Apple Acres". I give it a confused look. That sign seems awful familiar. I think hard on where I've heard it before, but I can't lay my finger on it. I shrug and head towards the opened entrance. I walk in and head towards an apple tree. I pluck an apple off of it and bite into it. My eyes widen and I study the apple, looking around it. This apple is more delicious than apples back on Earth, I mean seriously! They taste like someone shoved a bunch of sugar into a single apple and called it good. I don't know if this was theft or anything, but if it is, it's worth it. "What in tarnation do yah think you're doin'?" I a voice from behind me asked. I turned and saw a tan pony with blonde hair, and three apples on her flank. No wings, no nothing. This was a Earth Pony, and her name was Applejack. How I know? The description Black Night gave me. She fits it well. "Um... Eating a apple?" I say sheepishly, holding the apple in my hand. "Well, those are my apples, for one, these are my trees, and this is my land. But who are you?" She asks, pointing her hoof at me suspiciously. "I'm... Um... I-I'm Jack." I say worriedly, looking at the ground so she won't get a clear view of my face. "Well, Jack, I don' know who you are or what you are, but you need to take that hood off so I can get a good look at ya'." Applejack says, looking at me angrily. I shake my head. "Why not?" Applejack asks, obviously getting impatient. "Reasons." I say. "Well, if you don't take that darn hood off, I'll force ya' to." Applejack says, getting closer. "Fine, but please don't do arrest me, I got to attend a kids birthday tomorrow." I say guiltily. "Now why would I do tha-" She stops halfway when she sees who I am. "Do I look familiar? Because you're doing an awful lot of staring." I say jokingly. "Don't you move an inch or else I'll tie ya' up myself." She says aggressively. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Let's not become enemies just yet!" I say defensively, keeping a close eye on her. "Why should I not arrest an escapist from a prison in Canterlot?" She asks, looking at me angrily. "Because," I say, looking her in the eyes, "I got a birthday to attend tomorrow, for a colt." I say slowly, not wanting to get her mad. She gets close to me, maybe about five feet. Then kicks me. I fly backwards and hit a tree, grunting in pain as I do so. "You? Attendin' a birthday for a colt? Why should ah believe you?" She asks, studying me closely. "Because I made a promise that I would go to his birthday, even if I had the risk to get captured by guards. By the way, I'm not as bad as I sound. I didn't really do anything bad, it's just that the princesses have had situations with my kind before, and they think I'll try to overthrow them, but I wouldn't do that." I say, looking at her truthfully. She glares at me, squinting. Her eyes looking into my very soul. "I promise on my life that I wouldn't do a thing to the little colt." I say, rearing my head back. It's quiet for a minute, I hear birds chirping, and cows mooing. She finally speaks up, "Fine, but ah got my eye on you." She says, taking a few steps closer. "And if you hurt that little colt," she says, getting in my face, "I will kick ya all the way back ta Canterlot." I nod, slowly getting up. She sighs, and walks back to her farm. I didn't know Applejack cared so much for colts. Anyways, this is going to be one hell of a story to tell the ponies back home. I open the door and walk in. It's night time and I believe everyone is asleep. I took my time around Ponyville today, and now I know more about this nice town. I hang my cloak on the coat rack. Don't know why ponies use them though. As I walk up the stairs, Black Night meets me at the top. "Listen," he says, looking at me worriedly, "I want you to know that we, in this family, take care of our own. Which means that you better be ready if shit goes down at the party. If guards or anything like that show up, please be silent." He says, looking up at me worriedly. "Trust me," I said, looking down at him with a smile, "I convinced Applejack to leave me alone during the party." I say softly. Black Nights eyes widen as he hears the word "convinced". "Really? You convinced Applejack to leave you alone? I can't even do that." He says, giving me a small grin. "Yeah, she cares about fillies and colts you know." I say, giving him a grin back. "Well, get to bed, you have a big day tomorrow." Black Night says as he walks down the stairs. I nod and head towards my bedroom. I open the door slowly, making sure not to wake the sleeping colt in the bed. I walk over to my bed and get comfy. I sigh, looking out the window at the moon. I wish life wasn't so hard, if it wasn't, I'd be friends with multiple ponies by now. I close my eyes, take a deep breath, and wait for the next day to come. Chapter 3: Let's Get This Party Started!Jeez, that's second time that Princess Luna has appeared in my dreams without my consent. I sat up my bed, arms folded. A frown spread across my face. Can I get one night of actual sleep? I groaned angrily, my brows furrowing as I did so. I'm exhausted. I got so scared of dying that I woke up in the middle of the night with sweat dribbling down my face. I rubbed my eyes and decide that I'm not going to sleep. At least, not with that crazy bitch Princess trying to kill me. I sighed, looking around my room. Still the same place I slept in the previous night, dark though. Nearly pitch black, if you will. I suddenly hear snoring coming from behind me. I look over my shoulder only to see that Moonlit is still sleeping, a smile on his face. I wished my dreams could be peaceful, but I know they won't with that Princess in them. I wished I wasn't hated by royalty. What did I ever do that pissed them off? Maybe the people that came before me caused problems, but I didn't do anything bad. "Hey mister?" I hear Moonlit ask softly. "Yeah Moonlit?" "Why are you not sleeping?" "Because I can't." "Why not?" "Because a Princess keeps attacking me when I didn't do anything wrong" There's a long, awkward moment of silence in the room. I spoke up, "Hey Moonlit?" "Yeah?" "Go to sleep." I said, with a little more force than before. I look over my should and see Moonlit, his big eyes closed. A smile spread across his face, again. I sighed softly, and laid on the bed. My arms folded behind my head. I slowly closed my eyes, hoping to just rest them for a minute. But instead of resting my eyes, I drifted off into dreamland. I quickly opened my eyes, looking around. I didn't know if I was dreaming, or if I was awake, because I was in the same room, in the morning. I tried to do a few tests to see if I'm dreaming. I first try to make the area around me change, but that didn't work. Then I tried to make something appear out of thin air, that didn't work either. So I'm guessing that it's not a dream, but that means today was Moonlit's birthday. I hopped off the bed silently, trying my best not to make a sound. I tip-toed over to the door, looking over my shoulder to see if Moonlit was awake. His eyes are closed, and so I pulled the door slowly, exited the room, and headed downstairs. I toke my time today to catch every detail of the house. There's the bathroom, Black Night & Ruby's bedroom, our bedroom, and, of course, the staircase that lead down to the first floor. I walked through the hallway, looking at all the pictures that hung on the wall. I stopped to look at a particular picture that was cute in every way. It was a picture of Moonlit when he was a foal, and his dad holding him on his back, smiling. I smiled at the adorable picture and headed down the stairs. I peeked into the living room to see if anyone was there, but there wasn't. So I headed to the kitchen. I peeked into the kitchen and spotted Black Night looking out an open window above the sink. He heard my footsteps and glanced over to me. "Good morning Black," I said happily, "You know it's Moonlit's birthday today, right?" I asked, giving him a knowing look. "Of course I know it is Jack," He answered back, "I wouldn't forget my own son's birthday." "Good, but here's the thing," I say sheepishly, "I want to get your son a present but I don't know what to get him. Any ideas?" Black Night put his hoof on his chin thoughtfully. "Well, he always asked for some cider from Sweet Apple Acres. Not Hard Cider, just normal cider. But he never gets any." He said, looking back at the window. "I don't think I can get that. You know, with Applejack kicking me out and all." I said with a sad frown. I walked over to the table and sat down in a chair, thinking of what else to get Moonlit for his birthday. "He also wanted a party hosted by Pinkie Pie, but that happens every year." He said, looking at the fridge. My stomach grumbled loudly. I stood up and walked towards the fridge. "You want something to eat Black or you OK?" I asked, looking over my shoulder at Black Night. He shakes his head, "I'm fine." He said, looking at the ground. I shrugged and grabbed a cereal box, bowl, and some milk. I poured the cereal into the bowl and then poured milk into it. The cereal was called, "Hay Bits". Weird name for a cereal, then again, this isn't Earth. I bring the bowl to the table and take a bite. Tastes like peas, but wasn't half bad actually. I ate the rest of the cereal and chug the leftover milk that was in the bowl. I walked over to the sink and washed the bowl. "Hey Jack?" Black Night asked, sounding worried. "Yeah?" "This is going to sound mean, but when you run into any of the Elements or Royal Guard, could you leave so you don't ruin my son's birthday?" He asked, looking at me sadly. It took me a while to respond to that question. I just nodded and hanged my head, looking away from him. "Hello dad! Hi mister." A voice said from behind. I turned around and saw Moonlit looking at us with a big grin on his face. "Hey birthday boy. What's up?" I asked, looking at the surprisingly energized colt. "Nothing, just really excited for my birthday! I want to invite a certain filly but I'm to shy to do it." He said sheepishly, a blush spreading over his cheeks. I blink in surprise. He likes a filly at this age? Wow, I started getting girls at the age sixteen or something like that. But this colt has the nerve to do it now. "Who's the special filly, if I may ask?" I asked, looking at him playfully. "Um... I don't want to be teased by dad or anything, so could I whisper it to both of you privately?" He asked, his blush getting darker. Me and Black Night looked at each other. Both of us were surprised, we never expected this from a colt. We both nodded though, giving him a caring smile. "OK, dad, I am telling you first." He said, signaling his dad to follow him. Black Night follows Moonlit around a corner and I heard words being muttered. Black Night comes out from around the corner wide eyed, looking at me worriedly. "OK, you now mister." Moonlit said, now signaling me to come around the corner. I did so, and sat next to him so he could whisper in my ear. "Wait a minute," He said, peeking around the corner to make sure his father wasn't eavesdropping, "OK, so, the filly I like is... well... kind of a sister to one of the Elements." He said, smiling sheepishly. "Her name is Applebloom, and she's really nice. To me at least." He said, suddenly fascinated with the ground, his blush getting darker. "Who's the sister of Applebloom exactly?" I asked, giving him a questionable look. Please don't say Applejack, please don't say Applejack, please don't say Applejack! I thought over and over again. "It's... Um... It's Applejack." He said sheepishly, looking at me nervously. It felt like my head exploded. My heart stopped beating, everything stopped for a moment or two. He looked at me confused. I ran my hand through my hair, trying to process all of the info. Why does it have to be Applejack out of all the ponies in this world? I sighed, looking at him nervously. I stood up, and headed back to the kitchen. I leaned against the wall, my hands covering my face. Why the fuck does it have to be Applejack? "So... Um... Mister?" Moonlit asked me. "Yeah?" I asked, my voice muffled because of my hands. "I don't mean to be demanding or anything," he started, looking at me sheepishly, "Could you give the invite to Applebloom?" I looked at him furiously, trying to decide what to do. If I accept, I had a chance of being arrested by Applejack. If I decline, I would make the little colt sad, and everypony would hate me. I rolled my eyes, "Fine, but I need to know where she is." I said, looking at him angrily. "She'll be out in front of Ponyville Elementary after school. " He said thankfully, smiling at me. "Where's that exactly?" I asked impatiently. "Follow me and I'll show ya'." He said, heading towards the door, grabbing a pencil as he does so. "Hey now! Where do you think you're going?" Black Night asked worriedly. "I'm going to go show mister the Elementary School." He said looking at his father confused. Is that what he's calling me? Mister? Jeez, I should probably tell him my name later. "No you're not. Not with him at least." Black Night said pointing a hoof at me. "Why not dad?" Moonlit asked sadly. "Because," he said getting up and heading towards us, "If you go out there and he gets caught with you, you'll get in serious trouble." I looked down at Moonlit who is nearly in tears, then I looked back at Black Night frowning. Black Night just gave me an angry look. "I can go alone, I know what a school looks like." I said, giving Moonlit a comfortable smile. I glanced over to Black Night who just rolled his eyes, "Since you have school today, Moonlit, I'll let him 'escort you' to school." Black Night said, cursing under his breath. "Thank you!" Moonlit said, giving his dad a long hug. "Jack, you better not get him in trouble or I'll beat your a~" I cut him off, putting a hand over his muzzle and pointing at Moonlit, who is still hugging his father happily. His eyes widened, and he nodded. He pulled my head down and whispered into my ear, "I'll beat your ass if that boy gets into any type of trouble or danger." I stood back up and looked back down at Black Night, who is now pissed off because Moonlit is going outside with me. I sighed, looking back at Moonlit. "Come on birthday boy, show me where the school is." I said, giving a fake smile. "OK, bye dad!" Moonlit yelled, exiting the room. "Bye Moonlit!" Black Night said with a worried smile. I walked over to the door, and left the building with Moonlit. We were heading down the cobblestone steps, and then Moonlit asked, "Do you have an issue with Applebloom's sis?" I shrugged, "Depends on what you mean by, 'issue'." I said, giving him an annoyed look. "What I mean is, did you ever run into Applejack and get in trouble?" "Well, in that case, yes." "What'd you do?" "Stole an apple and ate it." "Really? Why?" "Hungry." "Wh~" I stopped him mid sentence by waving a hand. I knew where this was going, and I didn't want to talk about it. We were silent the whole trip to the Elementary School, not even looking at each other. I then spotted a giant crystal castle, with a star at the tip. I'm guessing its Princess Twilight's, I don't know. Don't really care either. We soon came to a small building with a bell at the top. It looked like a church, but Moonlit said it's a school. "OK, think you can stay here until Applebloom gets here?" He asked, looking up at me happily. I nodded, "What's she look like?" I asked questionably. "Well," Moonlit started, putting a hoof to his chin, "She has a giant red ribbon on her head, she's yellowish, she has her sister's accent, and she runs around with two other filly's named Scootaloo and Sweetie Bell." He said, giving me a big grin. "That all?" I asked, waiting to see if there was anything else I needed to know. "Yep. See you after school!" He said as he walked into the elementary school. "OK, bye!" I replied back, watching him walk into the school. I sat there for a while, waiting for the filly that fit the description. A few filly's gave me confused looks, but they just walked past me and into the school. Then I heard the words, "Come on Applebloom!" from an orange Pegasus with a dark purple mane. Then I saw the cowgirl's sister and stood up quickly. Next came a small, white unicorn with a very light pink mane. They all stopped when I blocked the entrance to the school. "What are you doing?" The orange filly asked, looking up at me cautiously. "I need to speak to Applebloom." I said sternly, keeping an eye on the orange one. "Why?" The orange Pegasus asked accusingly. "Because, somepony," I said, pointing at Applebloom, "Needs an invitation to get into somepony's party. I was told to give it to her personally." "Ah'm right here, what do ya need ta give me?" The red mane filly asked. She sounded so much like Applejack, but was so much smaller. "Applebloom, this is for you." I say, pulling out an envelope and handing it to her. "Only you are allowed to read. No one else, got it?" I ask, looking at her sternly. "Yep, thank ya kindly sir." She says smiling, then walking past me into the school. Then the white unicorn goes by. I blocked the path of the orange filly and sat down next to her. "Listen," I said sternly, "Tell me why you sounded mean?" I asked her, looking at her seriously. "Because," she said, getting in my face, "I don't who you are and I don't know what you are, but I don't want you hurting my friends!" She yelled. "I won't," I said calmly, "But if you ever threaten me like that again, you'll be in serious pain in a hospital. You know, with needles and stuff." I said angrily. Her face got redder. She looked like a volcano, but that volcano wouldn't explode. She grunted and pushed pass me angrily. I crossed my arms and headed back to the house. What was up with that filly? I mean seriously, she threatened me for being around her friends! Who does that? I sighed, looking down at my feet. I walked like this for a while until I ran into somepony. I fell back and landed on my back. I slowly got up, grunting as I did so. I looked forwards and saw Applejack looking back at me, anger in her eyes. My eyes widened and I slowly got up. She looked at me, giving me a n even more pissed look. "What do you think you're doing?" She asked, getting closer to me. "I... Um... I-I delivered a message to your sis about being invited to the little colt's birthday party." I said sheepish smile. She gave me an untrustworthy look. Sweat was now rolling down my forehead and onto my chin. I backed up into a tree, and she stood there, two feet away, looking up at me with anger. I pressed against the tree, praying to God that I wouldn't get hurt. "I'm going to ask my sis if that happened, and if she says no, you're going ta need lots of surgery ta fix yourself up when ah'm done with ya." She said, giving me a hopeful look. I slowly walked past her, not making eye contact. I heard a sigh come from behind me, looking over my shoulder only to see that Applejack's head was hanging low. "You ok, Applejack?" I asked, looking at her worriedly. She glanced back at me. "Why?" She asks, eyeing me closely. "Well, you look kinda sad right now. With your head hung low and all." I said, giving her a comforting smile. She sighed, playing with the dirt on the ground. "Well," she said suddenly, "Ah know the colt your talkin' about, ah'm actually good friends with the colt. He's so nice, he makes me happy. But the bad part about that, is that ah have ta turn you in after his birthday. It just don't feel right ta me." She said sadly, hanging her head. I walked over and put a hand on her shoulder or whatever the top of a pony's foreleg is. "You don't have to, but if it needs to happen Applejack, I'll let it happen without a fight." I said, looking at her knowingly. "Really? Just like that?" She asked, giving me a confused look. "Yeah, but that means I can say goodbye to Moonlit. Right?" I asked. "Yeah, but that's if I decide to turn you in." She said with a grin. My eyes widened, a smile slowly spreading across my face. "Really? You won't turn me in?" I asked excitedly, getting ready to pull her into a hug. "Not if ah don't wanna." She said, smiling. That's when I decided to pull her into a hug. With a eep from Applejack, I wrapped my arms around her and gave her a big hug. "Thank you." I whispered into her ear. I stood up and walked the other way, a smile spread across my face. "Your welcome!" Applejack yelled behind me. I just hummed all the way back home. What a beautiful night, the stars were out, the wind was calm, and it was quiet. That is, until I got to the party. I was walking down a dark, dirt road that lead to where the party is. There were apple trees lined up around the road. Obviously Applejack's trees. It toke a few minutes to finally reach the party. Luckily, the lights were so bright they illuminated the sky in a flurry of colors, kinda like the Northern Lights. It was all going down at Applejack's farm. Only because Applejack was best friends with Moonlit. I saw the entrance to Sweet Apple Acres, it was filled with ponies. All came with different shapes and sizes. I had to draw minimal attention if I didn't want to get arrested. I pulled the hood of my cloak around my head, and headed through the entrance. The place was packed with ponies, barely any space to walk. I tried to look for Moonlit, scanning the crowd closely. I spotted a dark red colt with wings talking to a tall, pink-mane Earth Pony. Wait a minute, she sounded familiar. I studied her closely, catching her every detail. Let me see, she had a pink mane, slightly brighter pink coat, always had a smile, looked full of energy, and was making friends. Yep, she fit the description. That, my friends, was Pinkie Pie. I walked over slowly, doing my best not to draw attention. As soon as I reached Moonlit, Pinkie was gone. I didn't know where she went, but she wasn't here. "Enjoying the party Moonlit?" I asked, giving Moonlit a joking look. He turned to me and nodded happily. "What about Applebloom?" I asked. Moonlit just giave me a sheepish smile with a little blush on his cheeks. "What about her?" Applejack's voice asked behind me. I looked over my shoulder and saw that Applejack was standing right behind me, a questionable look on her face. "Oh... Um... Nothing." I said. Now I had the sheepish smile. "Really? Hey Moonlit?" She asked, peeking behind me. "Yeah?" "Could you come out for a minute?" "Yeah.. Um... Sure." Moonlit said softly, obviously not wanting anything to do with the conversation. "Tell me what Jack was talkin' about. You two aren't keepin' a secret from me are ya?" She asked Moonlit, looking at him suspiciously. "No! Not at all!" Moonlit said, a fake smile spread across his face. Applejack just glared at him, knowing that he'd let it all out soon. Soon, he did. He explained everything about how he had a crush on Applebloom. Really wasn't that big of a deal actually, but Applejack made it seem that way. Applejack stood there, mouth agape. I could tell she was trying to process all the info. After a few minutes of silence, Applejack asked a question to verify the information that she had received. "You like mah sister? You like Applebloom?" Applejack asked, a surprised look on her face. "Um..." Moonlit said softly, not making eye contact with Applejack, "Kinda... do." Jesus Christ. Could this Pony-infested world be any more dramatic? The music just changed to slow music. Slow music! Just for that! But the look on Applejack's face was priceless, I could barely hold it all in. Applejack's mouth was an 'O' and her eyes were mere pinpricks. So goddamn hilarious. OK, stop thinking about it before I burst out laughing. I walked over to Applejack, who wouldn't stop staring at Moonlit, and whispered in her ear, "He loves Applebloom." I said, ready for a punch or something like that. Surprisingly, she didn't do anything like that. She just smiled at Moonlit knowingly. "Moonlit?" Applejack asked softly. "Yeah?" "I'm glad ya like my sis." Those last words made me think that life had just gone bonkers. I thought Applejack would need more time to process all this or something, but I guess she doesn't need any. Moonlit blushed heavily, making his cheeks as red as a rose. "Hey sis! Hey Moonlit! Hello mister." A cowgirl voice sounded behind Applejack. Applejack looked over her shoulder and spots Applebloom trotting over. "Hey sis, what's up?" She asked, giving me a mischievous grin. "Nothin' much. How's it going Moonlit?" She asked, tearing her gaze from her sister to Moonlit. "Oh... Um... Hey." Moonlit said sheepishly, looking at the ground. "What's wrong Moonlit?" Applebloom asked, looking at Moonlit curiously. "Um... Well... Could follow me for a minute please?" Moonlit asked sheepishly. They disappeared into the immense crowd of ponies. "Hey Jack?" "Yeah?" "Thanks for makin' this happen for my sis." She said, looking at me thankfully. "No problem." I responded. From there on out, the rest of the party went surprisingly well. I didn't here back from Moonlit for a while. Then the party ended and I walked home with Moonlit. "So," I said, looking down at Moonlit, "How did Applebloom respond?" "Oh... Um... Well," he said, blushing like a rose, "Me and her are you-know-what." "Awesome, good luck too." I said with a comforting grin. We soon reached the house and meet Black Night at the door. We told him how the party went but didn't tell him about Applebloom. Me and Moonlit headed upstairs and into our room. We hopped onto our bed and sleep the night away. "Hey Jack?" Moonlit asked softly. "Yeah?" "Thanks." "Your welcome." And with that, we both fell asleep, ready for the next day. Chapter 4 Part 1: Brave FlyerI was dreaming again. I knew that I was. I was sitting atop a skyscraper, in New York City, looking over the land of the Bronx. I remembered going there once, I was young when I traveled there. The streets had traffic every single day, shops were filled, friends hung out near the park, and gang members always fought. The Bronx was never boring, not always safe, but never boring. Life for me on the other hand, was too safe. I wanted danger, I wanted freedom. I didn't want to be like a Jew during the Holocaust. I sighed, looking down at the streets below. I realized a new outcome. An easier way to end it all, but I'm not going to be known as a coward. I'll be remembered as a fighter, savior, peacemaker. I always had this choice, always will. I climbed on top of the ledge, looking at whatever other skyscrapers were taller than this one. That's when I saw the tallest building in U.S.A, the Empire State Building. Why not travel over there? I sighed again, looking down to the ground. Better now than never, I thought, jumping off the skyscraper, heading towards the ground. Now stop time for a second. Remember how I said, in my dreams, I'm a God? Yeah, don't ever forget that. I was falling, falling, and falling. I was inches from the ground when I went straight up, flying in the air like a hummingbird. I always wondered what it'd be like to fly, in real life I mean. I can imagine it'd be fun. The cool air running through your hair, the adrenaline, the danger. That's what I think flying is about. I flew through the air, dodging the skyscrapers as I did so. I was nearly at the Empire State Building. Until somepony attacked me mid flight. You want to guess who it was? Go on, guess. If you guessed Luna, you're correct. She came flying at me with laser beams coming from her horn. The part where she comes in wasn't going to stop until I was dead or until I convinced her to not kill me. Since this was my dream though, I kinda froze her when she was about to shoot another laser at me. She fell to the ground and I flew to the top of the Empire State Building, hoping that she wouldn't hit the ground so quickly. I landed on the top of the skyscraper, looking down over the ledge. I couldn't see her, which meant she either died, or she was going to sneak up on me. "Luna!" I yelled, looking over the ledge. I didn't hear a response so I thought she was dead. I sighed with relief, glad she was dead. I turned around and walked away from the ledge. Dead? Did I say dead? Sorry, I meant about to puncture my chest with that super long horn of hers (Don't you dare take that out of context you sick bastards). I suddenly felt sharp pain in my gut. The horn has penetrated my stomach and out my spine. She threw me off her horn and I landed against a metal door. This was the end, I was going to die. That's what she thought was going to happen until my wounds healed shortly after she threw me. Her eyes widened, and she took a step back. "Listen Luna," I started, looking at her angrily, "This is my dream. Whatever happens in here stays in here, but you can enter and exit all you want." I grew taller than I was before, maybe even six feet taller than her. I looked down at her, grinning miraculously. Oh, the fear in her eyes made me feel awesome. I dashed towards her and gripped around her neck. She tried to fight it but she couldn't, I was to strong. I whispered into her ear, "This is my world, I can do whatever I want, whenever I please. I could kill you right now, but I don't want to." I said, easing the grip around her neck. "I want you to go tell your sister and the other princesses to stop coming into my dreams. Unless you want to die next time you come in." She stared at me fearfully. Her eyes were mere pinpricks, sweat was dribbling down her head too. I stood up and said, "Now here's what's going to happen, you're going to do what I told you, I am going to wake up, and if you ever come back attacking me, you'll die in here." I gave her a death stare shortly after that. She nodded slowly, flying away. I sighed, looking back at the city I hoped to dream of going back to. Slowly, it all faded away in darkness. I was laying in bed with Moonlit next to me, he was cuddling into me, trying to get cozy. He's like a brother to me. I would beat up anypony, big or small, if they made the colt sad. Black Night was planning on getting me my own bed and putting it next to Moonlit's bed. I don't think that would actually stop him from hopping onto my stomach when I was asleep though. I sighed softly, not wanting to wake the little colt next to me. I looked over to an opened window that I thought I closed last night. "Hey Moonlit?" I asked, seeing if the colt was awake or not. "Yeah?" "Did you open the window last night?" "No. Why?" "Because it's opened and I need to make sure no one broke in." I gently shoved the little colt off of my stomach and onto the bed so I could get up and close the window. Once I did that, I stood up and closed the window. After that, I stretched, popping the joints in my arms and legs. I walked over to Moonlit, poking him until he got annoyed. "Stop mister." Moonlit said annoyingly. Goddamn it, I forgot to tell him my name last night. Well, I'll tell him now then. "My name's Jack." I said softly, "Now get up because we're going to go get breakfast downstairs." He groaned, looking at me with annoyance. "Jack, come on, let me sleep for five more minutes." Moonlit said, looking up at me with puppy dog eyes. I sighed and rolled my eyes, not wanting to make eye contact with the sad colt. "No," I said sternly, "I need you to get up because you're going to take me around Ponyville. As a favor for me giving your love letter to Applebloom." He looks at me with a pissed off face. I just smile knowingly at him. "Fine," he groaned, "But this is the last favor I'm doing for you." Last favor? Boy, this is the first favor I've ever asked you ever since I met you, I thought. We both headed downstairs and into the kitchen, where Black Night always is. He spotted us and smiled. "How's it going Moonlit?" He asked. "It's going good dad." Moonlit replied, giving his father a grin. "Hey dad?" Moonlit asked. "Yeah?" "Can Jack 'escort' me to school again?" At hearing those very words, Black Night stopped everything he was doing and glared at me. "Why?" He asked Moonlit, not tearing his gaze away from me. "Because I enjoy his company." Moonlit answered, giving his father a smile. "Fine," Black Night said angrily, "But you come here right away after school." "OK, but first, I want some waffles!" I don't know how the little colt does it, but he eats more than his father, and doesn't gain an ounce. I watched Moonlit chomp away at the waffles like a T-Rex eating an Antelope. When I say he eats fast, he eats fast. Soon, he was done with his fifth pancake, while I was on my second. Me and Black Night just watch in amazement, mouths open and everything. Then a few minutes later, the pancakes were gone. It took a while, but we all burped soon enough. I noogie Moonlit with a smile, "You are a fast eater Moonlit, you gotta slow down if you don't want to get sick." I said, giving him a worried smile. "Oh trust me, I've never gotten sick on pancakes, never ate this much either." He said with another burp. I rolled my eyes and headed to the door, signaling Moonlit to follow me. He did so and walked over to me. "Bye dad!" He yelled out. "Bye Moonlit!" Black Night replied happily. Soon enough, we were off. It was another beautiful day in Ponyville, the Sun was out, there wasn't a cloud in the sky, and the wind was calm. I enjoyed days like these because they're always so quiet. As we walked I heard a voice behind us ask, "Hey Moonlit. Who's your friend?" I stopped right then and there, worried that I would get arrested. Me and Moonlit looked over our shoulder's and spotted an orange coated Pegasus with a purple mane. I knew who that particular pony was. It was none other than Scootaloo. I frowned at her and she frowned back. "Oh, it's you." She said angrily. Moonlit looked confused, he didn't know what went down when he walked into the school yesterday. "Scootaloo, what's with all the hate between you two?" Moonlit asked looking at me and Scootaloo. "Well," She started, "I don't like strangers talking to my friends, especially not to Applebloom." As she finished, Moonlit chuckled a bit. Me nor Scootaloo knew why but he did. We both gave him a confused look. "You don't know why he gave Applebloom that letter, do you?" Moonlit asked, a small smile crept across his face. "No, do you?" Scootaloo asked. "Yeah I do, I told mister to give it to Applebloom as an invitation to my party at Sweet Apple Acres." He answered calmly. I smiled a victory smile, watching Scootaloo look defeated. She hung her head. That's when I started feeling bad about the Pegasus. "Hey Scootaloo." I asked, looking at her comfortingly. "Yeah?" "Want me to 'escort' you to school?" "Sure." "Then come on then, let's go." I said, signaling her to follow. We soon reached the school, happy that it was over. Or they were happy at least. I, on the other hand, have to walk back home. "Bye mister!" Moonlit yelled. "Bye Moonlit, bye Scootaloo." I said, giving Scootaloo a soft smile. "Bye." Scootaloo said back. I removed my hood and stretched my muscles. It's a long way back. I looked back at the school and sighed. Then I headed back home, looking around for Applejack. She wasn't around for some reason, probably doing chores at her farm. Then I suddenly get pushed to the ground, my face getting covered in dirt. "Ah shit! What the hell?!" I asked whoever crashed into me. They weren't getting off my back so I had no choice but to look over my shoulder. As I did so I saw a cyan coated Pegasus with a rainbow mane. Aw shit, I thought, trying to push myself up. It was motherfucking Rainbow Dash, I presumed. "What the hell Rainbow Dash?" I asked innocently. "Shut up!" She said, punching the back of my head with her hoof. Now that ticked me off, somepony telling me to shut up and then smacking me on the back of my head with a hoof is going over the line. I pushed myself up with all my strength, grunting as I did so. She was heavy for a Pegasus, but fast too. She soon lost her balance and fell to the ground, face first into the dirt. I got up, ran the opposite direction of her, and laughed hysterically. But I spoke too soon. She was back up and on my ass within seconds, chasing me with a head full of steam. I looked over my shoulder and saw that she wasn't there, but I didn't stop running. I came around the corner, only to find that there was a hoof to the face waiting for me. I fell on my back, grunting in pain. I lifted my head off the ground, only to have it bashed back into it. The punches came nonstop, one after another. My vision was going black. Getting darker, darker, darker. Then a surge of adrenaline came through my body, a lot of adrenaline. I lifted my fist and punched her back, sending her to the ground. I quickly got up, ran over to her, and wrapped my hands around her neck. She tried to smack my hands off her neck, but the attempts were futile. I was watching in sorrow as her eyes widened in horror. "Jack, stop!" A voice behind me yelled out. I looked over my shoulder and saw Applejack, looking back at me with sadness in her eyes. I loosened the grip around Rainbow's neck enough so she can breathe. "Jack, let go o' Rainbow." She said, looking at me worriedly. "Why? If I do, she'll get up and kill me. I can't risk that." I said, looking at Rainbow Dash with pure hatred. "Because," she said, "Imagine what'd happen after you kill her. Moonlit would never forgive you, I wouldn't forgive you, no one would forgive you. The whole planet would go inta' chaos!" She yelled, looking at me cautiously. I looked at Rainbow Dash who is breathing heavily, her eyes looking at me in fear. I glared at her, leaving a memory in her mind. I sighed, removing my hands from her neck. I watched her closely as she slowly got up, and backed away. I stood up, and walked down a random dirt path. I don't care where it led, anywhere but there was fine with me. Chapter 4 Part 2: Sadness Is MadnessI sat on a stump, breathing heavily. What happened a few hours ago was not good for me, but it wasn't exactly my fault that I had to hit Rainbow Dash. She bashed my face into the ground and I nearly died! I had no choice, I had to at least leave her unconscious, but I couldn't because I'd lose the only actual friend I have here, according to Applejack. I sighed heavily, glancing at the forest. I had no clue where I was in the forest, I was lost, but I didn't care. I just wanted to get away from everypony, I wanted to cool off. Sometimes I never get this chance, but now I do. I had all the time in the world to do what I wanted out there, but they would look for me, and I might have gotten caught. "I miss Earth." I said to myself, tears welling up in my eyes. "I miss Sam." I wasn't going back to Earth though, I knew I couldn't. If there was some type of direction that could have lead me back to my friends, I would've followed it, but because of the circumstances there, I wouldn't get anything. All these ponies hated me for some reason, they wanted me dead. Most of them anyways. "I'm so alone." I said to myself sadly, looking at the ground. Tears dripping from my chin and nose like raindrops. I cried for a few seconds until I heard a growl coming from the bushes around me. I looked up and saw two yellow, glowing eyes staring back at me. They were predator eyes, like a wolf's. My eyes widened as the creature left the bush and came into the open. It looked like a wolf, except the difference was that it was made out of wood. It had sharp, wooden teeth and saliva was dribbling from its mouth. It was obviously hungry, and if I didn't turn around right then and there, I would've been its dinner. I ran through the forest, ducking under low branches, jumping over tree roots, diving through bushes, it was all happening because of a wolf. A wooden wolf. I stopped and turned around, breathing heavily. The wolf slowly followed behind me, growling at me loudly. No, I thought, I'm not going to run from a wooden wolf, I'm going to fight. I look around for a weapon of some sort, but I couldn't find one in time because the wooden wolf launched itself at me, bearing its sharp teeth. Luckily, I dodged out of the way fast enough, but I didn't think that would happen a second time. I take a few steps back, raising my fists. I looked around again, and spotted a big wooden club. It was roughly the size of my leg, from the looks of it at least. Then suddenly, the wolf jumped at me again, sending itself fly towards me. Instead of dodging, I grabbed onto its forelegs and threw it at a tree. It yelped loudly as its body crashed into the tree, landing on its side. I quickly ran towards the wooden club and picked it up. It was really heavy, took almost all my strength to get it ready to swing at the wooden beast across from me. I stopped breathing for a moment, focusing only on the wolf. By now, it was off of its side and ready to pounce at me, glaring at me as if it was my mortal enemy. Within seconds, the beast pounced, and I swung the club. I heard a crack as I hit the beast, sending it flying at yet another tree. I looked over my shoulder, glaring at where the wolf landed, but instead of it having yellow glowing eyes, the eyes were black, lifeless pits. It had a crack in its head, probably where I had hit it with the club. When I confirmed it was dead, I walked the opposite direction of the beast, more cautiously this time. Wouldn't want to be attacked by another one of those things. Back to the real issue, I wish I hadn't almost killed Rainbow Dash. Mostly because that has been more evidence that am a threat to all of Ponykind, but there's also the high chance of everyone at Ponyville hating me. Aw shit, I really fucked up. I hanged my head, and sighed sadly. "I need a hug or something like that." I said to myself, tears threatening to role down my face. "Well I can give you one." A very familiar voice said behind me. No, no, it can't be her. Can it? I thought. I turned around and saw the familiar face of someone I loved dearly. It was my girlfriend, Sam. I put my hands over my face as tears of joy rolled down my cheeks and to my chin. I couldn't help but smile at the sight of my beautiful girlfriend. It's really her, I thought, Oh my god, it's really her. She started crying to, that smile of hers growing bigger, happier than before. I rushed over to her and gave her a hug, giving her a kiss on the cheek too. "How did you get here Sam?" I asked, running my hand through her soft hair. "I didn't want to leave you behind, so I told Gavin and Knowa to go on ahead. When I got back to where you were, I saw the giant beast laying on the ground, with a hole in its stomach." She said happily, giving me a heartwarming smile. "Ok, but this place is weirder than I thought Sam," I started, giving her a small smile, "This place has talking ponies that don't like humans for some reason and want me dead. I met one princess so far, her name is Luna and she gets into your dreams, and tries to kill you. I figured a way to stop that because in my head, I am a God, and when Luna enters, you scare her off." I finished with a comforting smile. "Well," she said thoughtfully, "that is a lot of weird info. I guess I'll remember it for later." I nodded, giving her one last hug. "Want to go meet the pony who saved me... from..." I stopped mid sentence, tears welling up in my eyes again. "What's wrong Jack?" She asked, giving me a questionable look. I took a deep breath and said, "I got into a fight with one of the ponies, her name was Rainbow Dash. She attacked me and beat my face in with her hoof. So I punched her across the face with my fist and choked her. I would've killed her if it weren't for my friend Applejack, telling me what would happen if I did. She said 'the world would plunge into chaos and nopony would like you at all'. I believed her and let Rainbow Dash go that once. Then I walked into the forest to cool off for few minutes, but got attacked by a wolf made out of wood and I had to attack that. Then I ran into you and my world couldn't have gotten worse from there." I did my best to catch my breath after that long time of talking. "Wow," she said, giving me a worried look, "Are you ok after all of that? I mean, you do have all those bumps and bruises on your face." She said, gently rubbing my cheek. "I'm fine," I said, giving her a reassuring smile, "I just can't help but feel guilty for hurting somepony, even though it wasn't my fault." "Well I don't care," she said, giving me a hug, "Because I'll love you no matter what, even if you do hurt ponies." "Thank you, Sam." I said, hugging her back. We both stood there for a while, hugging each other tightly. Not wanting to let go, but we had to leave the forest or things worse than Manticores and wooden wolves will come after us. "We got to go, it's almost nighttime." I said, pulling out of the hug. "Alright," she said, giving me a kiss on the cheek, "Show me where these 'talking ponies' are." I nodded, and headed out to where I thought Ponyville was. We soon reached the edge of the forest, looking out over Ponyville. Sam stood there, wide eyed at the beautiful sight. "You have the same expression I had when I first came here." I said, giving her a joking smile. I walked out past the stone floor, signaling her to follow me. She noticed me waving a hand in front of her and saw that I had waved several times. We soon entered Ponyville when I told her, "Keep your head low, there are ponies that will turn you in for money." She listened to my warning and stuck her head into her shirt. After a few minutes of walking cautiously through Ponyville, we made it to Black Night's house. I knocked on the door and heard Black Night's voice behind the door, "Go away! We don't want any visitors." "Black, it's me!" I yelled back, giving Sam a sheepish smile. "Jack?" He asked, hoof steps coming from behind the door. "In the flesh." I responded sarcastically. I then hear the sound of many locks unlocking, the door being pulled open, revealing Black Night's face. "Hey Jack. Ho-" he stopped mid sentence and his eyes darted to Sam. She smiled sheepishly back at Black Night. "Who is this?" He asked, giving me a stern look. "Oh! Um... Black Night, this is my girlfriend, Sam. Sam, this is the pony who saved me from getting kidnapped." I said, giving both of them a smile. "Hello Black Night, nice to meet you." She said, giving another sheepish smile. "Same here." He said, giving me yet another stern look. "Who is it?" A voice behind him called out. I looked over his shoulder and saw my best friend here, Moonlit. Moonlit's eyes widened as he saw me, and a smile slowly crept across his face. "Jack!" He yelled, running at me and jumping into my arms, "I thought you were gone, I thought I wouldn't see you again." "Moonlit, I'd never leave a colt like you." I said, giving him a reassuring smile. I looked over my shoulder and saw Sam cooing at the sight of me holding Moonlit. "Who's that?" Moonlit asked, giving me a questionable look. "Oh yeah. Um... Moonlit, this is my girlfriend, Sam. Sam, this is my best friend on this planet, Moonlit." I said, giving a smile to both of them. "Hello miss." Moonlit said, giving a big grin to Sam. "Hello." She said back, giving him a small smile. Then there was a few awkward moments of silence, neither side wanting to break the silence. I sighed and finally asked, "May we come inside Black?" He glanced at Sam and then back at me, a thoughtful look on his face. "Fine, come in. Here's the thing though, we have visitors." He said, giving me a worried expression. Suddenly I didn't feel confident about entering the house. The word, "visitor", worries me. It could possibly be a guard, or worse, one of the princesses. At the thought of it being one of the princesses made me want to leave. Even if it was a princess though, why would she kill me on sight? I mean they're talking to a family with a colt in the room. They wouldn't do that. Right? I was released from thought when I heard Sam say, "Come on Jack!" I just nodded and entered the home, worried that I may get killed, but also worried that I may be arrested. Black Night turned and entered the living room, a small smile across his face. "Well my Elements," He started sadly, "Here's the supposedly dangerous human, with his supposedly dangerous girlfriend." Well, that was not good. Going to be a whole lot of trouble after this, I knew it. As I entered the living room, a loud gasp filled the room. The gasp was even louder when Sam entered the room. I viewed all the peers that gasped and spotted Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, a lavender pony with a horn and wings, a white coated purple mane Unicorn sitting on a couch, and a yellow coated, light pink mane Pegasus. When Rainbow Dash saw me, she looked away, possibly still mad at me for nearly killing her. I just sighed and walked over to a two-seater couch. As I sat on the couch, Moonlit jumped on my lap, snuggling into my stomach. He was so adorable. Sam came after, watching the group of ponies cautiously. "Hey Jack." Applejack said, shooting me a smile. "Hey AJ. How's it going?" I asked, looking back down at Moonlit. She walked over to me with a sad look on her face and whispered into my ear, "Not so good. I told them about ya after ya attacked Rainbow, and they were mad at me for not tellin' them before." I eyed the group of ponies closely, scanning for hatred. My eyes landed on the lavender pony with a horn and wings. She glared at me angrily, a frown on her face. I gave her a shrug and a confused look but that made her frown deepen. I looked over to Applejack who saw that the lavender pony was frowning at me. "Hey Twi, stop staring at'em, your scaring them." She said, a worried look on her face. The lavender pony stood up, and made her way over to me. She didn't look happy but I really couldn't blame her. I nearly killed one of her friends. When she reached me, she stuck her face in mine, glaring into my eyes. "Listen," she said, giving me a frown, "You do not, and I repeat, do not try to kill my friends! She may have attacked you, but that does not give a filthy human like you the right to nearly kill her!" By now, she was pushing my head back, giving barely any room to breathe. "You want to hear the truth, or are you going to keep screaming at my face?" I asked, giving her a questionable look. She frowned, giving me a angry look, not taking her eyes off of mine. "Fine. Let's hear it." She said sternly, not taking her eyes off me. "Well," I said, giving her a cocky look, "Your friend, Rainbow Dash, came up behind me and shoved my face into the ground. I asked in these exact words, 'What the hell Rainbow Dash?', but she said 'Shut up!' and slammed my face into the ground. I turned on my back to face her and she beat my face in with her hooves. Now, this is where I got mad. You see, I was nearly dead to where my skull pushed into my head, until I luckily had a rush of adrenaline that saved my life. I raised my fist and punched her off of me, and I knew that if I didn't choak her, she would come back to me and kill me. I would've killed her if your ever so caring friend, Applejack, didn't stop me. She talked me out of it by the way. But you want to know the worst thing about that problem? The worst thing is that I'm being blamed by Rainbow Dash that I nearly killed her, even though she attacked me first and beat my face in and I nearly died without fighting back." I breathed heavily after that long sentence, looking at Rainbow Dash with a incredibly pissed off face. The pony in front of me looked over her shoulder at Rainbow Dash, giving her a dishonest look. "Is this true Rainbow Dash?" She asked, looking at her expectantly. Rainbow looked at the ground, scratching it with her hoof. When she didn't respond, the lavender pony spook up, "Rainbow, is he telling the truth or not?" "Um... he kinda is actually." She said, giving Applejack a small smile. The lavender pony turned around and gave me an apologetic look. "Sorry." She said with a sheepish smile. "You don't have to be, it's Rainbow's fault anyways." I said, giving another angry glare to her. "Well, if it's her fault, maybe we should have her say, 'Sorry for nearly killing you', instead of being stubborn and not saying that." She said, giving Rainbow a stern look. Rainbow Dash noticed this and her ears flattened against her head, she had an apologetic look on her face. "Rainbow?" I asked calmly. "Yes?" "Please say you're sorry." I said pleadingly. She sighed and said, "I am sorry for being a jerk and nearly killing you. Happy?" "Very." I said with a cocky smile on my face. We stood there for a few minutes in silence, neither me, nor Rainbow wanting to say anything. Suddenly out of the blue, we both jumped at in surprise as the pink party pony yelled, "Yay! Now we can have a 'Sorry-For-Nearly-Killing-You' party!" I clutched my chest, heart pumping like I've ran a mile without stopping. If that's the way she's going to be around me, I'll die before I reach thirty, I thought to myself. "Pinkie?" I asked calmly. "Yeah?" "Don't ever yell like that next to me ever again, I nearly had a heart attack just a little bit ago." I said worriedly, giving her a joking smile. "Ok, see you guys later! I'm going home." She said, hopping out the door. "I gotta go too, it's getting dark. See ya'll later." Applejack said, trotting out the door. The white coated pony probably left already. What was her name? It was Rari-something. I don't know. "I'm going too, Spike's probably getting worried that I'm not home yet." The lavender pony said, slowly walking out the door. "Um... I'm going too, if you don't mind." The yellow Pegasus said, flying slowly out the door. Then there was Rainbow Dash who was still sitting on the couch, her eyes filled with tears. By now I just felt guilty. I didn't want her sad or anything, but she did attack me first. Doesn't mean I shouldn't say sorry back I sighed heavily, looking over at Rainbow apologetically. "Rainbow, I'm sorry for what I did. I could have just knocked you out but it didn't seem like you'd give up so easily, but you put me in a life-or-death situation. I just wanted to say sorry for not stopping after I punched you off of me." I said, looking at the ground. She just sighed heavily, walking towards the door. When she reached the door, she turned around and shot me an apologetic smile. I smiled back, nodding slowly. When the door closed, I heard a sigh of relief come from my lap. I looked down and forgot that Moonlit was still sitting there. "You ok?" He asked. "Yeah, I'm fine. This all happened in like, four days. It's been stressful, but I'll manage." I said, giving a reassuring smile. "Yeah, well, where will I sleep?" Sam asked, a questionable look on her face. "You'll sleep where you're sitting." Black Night said, a comforting smile on his face. "Ok," I started, "It's been a very stressful four days for me, and I'm tired. So I'm going to bed. Goodnight." I said, leaving the living room and heading upstairs. Moonlit followed me to the bedroom and hopped on the bed when I opened the door. I walked over to the bed and got comfy as I could possibly get. "Goodnight Moonlit." I said quietly. "Goodnight mister." He responded softly. I closed my eyes, and let out a huge sigh of relief as I knew that I got four of the ponies to like me. Two more, and I'll be safe from execution. Chapter 5: Date NightThis dream was the most quietest dream I've had yet. No Luna, no nothing. Just a calm, indoor dream. I was sitting upon a chair near a fireplace, the smoke rising through a chimney. Every now and then, the wood cracked and the room got warmer. It was like watching an hourglass, calm and boring. I wanted a simple dream that night, one with little action, but this was just going too far. "Hello." A voice behind me said. I jumped up with a yipe, looking at whatever said those words. I was surprised to see Luna without her armor, looking back at me with a smile spread across her muzzle. "What the hell do you want?" I said, giving her a large frown. "We wanted to say we're sorry for nearly killing you." She said, giving me a small smile. "Really?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "We are. We want to apologize for our attempt. Princess Twilight Sparkle has informed us of how honest and truthful you are, but that doesn't mean we trust you." She said, giving me a stern look. "Why not?" I asked, giving her a questionable look. "Because, " She started, slowly making her way towards me, "Your kind has a history of death and cruelty, and now there's two of you. We don't believe you could be different from the ones before you, but Princess Twilight Sparkle gives us hope." Is that the lavender pony? Princess Twilight Sparkle?, I thought. I rubbed my head and sighed with realization. "What exactly did she say about me?" I asked, giving her an expectant look. She looked at me in confusion, tilting her head to the side to emphasize it. "Why?" She asked. "Well, she was talking to me a few - let's say - hours ago in real time." I said, a cocky smile on my face. "Alright," she started, "She said you were not at all threatening when she spoke to you. She said you showed civility. What I mean by that is that when she yelled at you, you didn't show any signs of aggression, and that you also spoke calmly about the real issue at hand." That was a lot of good compliments from a Princess that I just met. I couldn't believe it. A Princess putting her trust in me. I didn't doubt the fact that I'd be friends with everyone, but I think that Princess Twilight was a bit too much. I didn't mind it though, it's just that- I was cut short of my daze when something tapped my shoulder. I spun around and saw a violet coated pony with a green mane. She had a grape vine tattoo thing on her flank too. I really didn't think I had control of this dream. "Hello. Um... Who are you exactly?" I asked, giving a sheepish smile. She just looked up at me, a smile spread across her face. She didn't respond though. "Quiet type. Ok, let's play a game. I ask a yes or no question, and you nod or shake your head. Got it?" I asked, giving her an expectant look. She nodded. "Great! Um... Do you exist in the real world?" Nod. "Alright. Do you have a special power?" Nod. I rubbed my chin, deep in thought. I couldn't decide what to ask next, so many choices, not all important. I guess I could've asked her about herself or I could've asked her about what she did. So many questions. I came back to my senses when I realized another question I could ask. A question that would ask of what her power is. "Does your power have anything to do with nature?" She stood still, placing a hoof to her chin. She was lost in thought for a few seconds, then - Nod. "Ok, that's good. Do you control nature?" Nod. Ok, I had enough questions. The dream was ending too. The background was getting darker. "I'll see you either when I wake up, or someday." I said, giving a soft smile. She waved her hoof goodbye as she was eaten up by the darkness. When the darkness came to me, I could have sworn I heard the words, 'See you later' come from it. I heard the soft breathing of Moonlit next to me. My eyes slowly opened, adjusting to the brightness of the room. Still the same old room, not a thing has changed. Well, maybe a few dust particles landed on things but that didn't matter. I sat up in my bed, stretching and yawning. I was tired for sure, I usually didn't wake up this early. It wasn't exactly unusual, but it wasn't quite normal either. It was kind of in between. I didn't care much though, just wanted something to think of while I waited for the sun to rise. Did I ever mention that the moon was still out? Yeah, it was still out, peeking its shining light through our window. I rubbed my eyes, trying to get them to adjust the darkness. Once they did though, I was shocked to find that I was being eyed by a beast that had two legs that were both different. One had a lizard's leg and the other had a goat's leg. Its arms were like that except that one arm had a lion's arm, and the other, a griffon's claw. Its eyes were the worst part. Those eyes were yellower than the Sun itself, the redness of the iris frightened me the most. Me and the beast stayed like that for a few minutes, both looking into the other's eyes. I broke the silence and asked, "Who the hell are you?" It gave me a blank look, eyeing me from head to toe. "I was going to ask the same." It said, giving me a grin. I couldn't help but frown at the beast. It was hideous. I'm not sure if everypony agreed, but in my opinion, it was vile. "You should answer my question first." I said sternly. "Oh fine, be that way. My name is Discord, Spirit of Chaos. Now who are you and what are you?" He said, pointing one of its claws at my chest. I rolled my eyes and said, "My name is Jack. I'm not a spirit or anything if that's what you're getting at." "Oh please. I would never think that. You're too... non-magical for me to believe you're a spirit of some sort." He answered, a small grin spread across his face. Another awkward moment of silence passed through, leaving him with an expectant look on his face. I sternly glared at him and eyed him closely. I think he was waiting for me to respond or something like that, but I didn't. We stayed like that for few more seconds until I spoke up again. "So, what do you want exactly?" I asked, giving him a questionable look. "You're an anomaly to the ponies, so I thought I would pay you a visit. You see, I think we could be friends, you and I. We could do fun things like play pranks on the Elements of Harmony, or fight dangerous beasts like Timberwolves. I could also prove that you're no threat to Equestria." He said, giving me a mischievous grin. A Spirit of Chaos wanted to be my friend. Jesus Christ, I thought this world couldn't get any weirder, but now I see it always can. I may have been a bit harsh on judging this world but I really can't blame myself, it was weird and creepy. I shrugged and said, "Sure." His smile grew larger, making me feel utterly uncomfortable. If he was going to be my friend, then he had to stop smiling like that. "Discord, stop smiling and get out. I need to sleep." I said, pointing at the darkness outside. I couldn't bear another minute with him in here. He was just so goddamn annoying, he was so creepy too. If I let had let him stay here, he would've watched me sleep, which is uncomfortable for me. "You're no fun Jack. See you in the morning." He said, his smile turned to a frown. I sighed with relief as he snapped his fingers and disappeared. He was odd, very odd. I don't think that I'll ever get used to him. Though it didn't really matter at the time, I wanted to know why he wanted to befriend me. I guess I could ask Twilight about it, but I don't think she wanted to see me. I guess I'd just see how the day went in the morning. As I closed my eyes and laid on the bed, I could hear a rooster yell its famous shout. Which, of course, made my eyes snap open. I didn't know how, or what happened, but it was suddenly daytime. An anomaly at its finest. I sighed in annoyance as I got up and out of bed. How does there be Moonlight one minute, then Sunlight the next? I may never know. As soon as I got out of the bed, I could see Moonlit already at the door. His adorable smile was facing my way. I couldn't help but smile back. "What's up Moonlit?" I asked jokingly. "Nothing much, just about to head downstairs for some food. Want to come with me?" He asked, giving me a knowing smile. "Sure." I responded, walking out the door with the little colt. Now I'm no role model for kids, but I think that Moonlit is starting to be like me, with waking early and all. I hadn't a clue what was going on downstairs, but by the sound of it, it was serious. There was yelling, screaming, and the sound of - Oh my God - Discord's voice. I rolled my eyes and slowly walked downstairs with the little colt. He looked frightened, his eyes were widened, his limbs were shaking, and his teeth were chattering. All the signs of horror. He patted him on the back to calm him down, but that made him even more frightened. I sighed softly to myself, hopping that he'd get over it when we got downstairs to Discord. When we reached the living room, I was shocked at the mess. Tables were flipped, dishes were broken, knives were in the walls, and paintings were scattered across the ground. I couldn't see Discord or Sam anywhere. Then, all of sudden, a pie was thrown at my face. I wasn't surprised that it was from the now laughing Discord. "Sam! Did you see that?!" He said, still laughing hysterically at me. I then heard laughter come from behind me and saw Sam taking cover behind a couch, of course, she was also laughing hysterically. "Sure did! That was hilarious!" She said jokingly. I didn't exactly know how they met, or why the living room was a mess, but this was not acceptable. "Stop!" I shouted, "This room's a mess! We need to clean this up before Black gets down here and chews us out." "Oh Jack, lighten up. It was only a little fun." Said Discord, "Besides, at a snap of my fingers this room would be clean and seconds. Just watch." I stood there, waiting to see him fail at attempting to do magic. Everyone knew magic wasn't real, it couldn't- "See?" Discord asked knowingly. My jaw was on the ground. I could not believe my very eyes, the mess was actually gone. Well, if magic's real, then this world is the weirdest place I've ever been on in my entire life. I mean seriously! How?! "How did you do that?" I asked curiously. I really had no clue how he did that, although... I did see Luna shoot lasers. "Why, it was simple magic. Oh wait, you don't know what magic is, do you?" He asked, obviously knowing the answer. I rolled my eyes and nodded. "Well my friend, get your notebook and pencil because you're going to learn." He said, snapping his fingers. All of sudden, I was dressed in school clothes with a notebook and pencil in my hands. How the actual fuck did this happen? "My friend, magic is what we Equestrian folk use as a source of our livelihood. Everypony has magic in them, even simple Earth Pony's. You see, I have something called, 'Chaos Magic' in me. Only draconequus' like me have this magic, all others though, have Normal Magic. Boring if you ask me. The difference between Chaos Magic and Normal Magic is that Chaos Magic can only cause chaos and discomfort to somepony, while Normal Magic can do that and be used as a way of life. It's a very long explanation to how magic works, so I'm going to stop here." He said, snapping his fingers again. When I looked at what I was wearing, I couldn't believe it. I was wearing my clothes! Holy shit! Magic is real I guess. "By the way, you have a very funny girlfriend." He whispered into my ears, a small grin creeping across his face. I frowned at him, annoyance in my eyes. I couldn't believe he actually said that. How embarrassing. Soon enough, Black Night entered the room and froze. His eyes were fell on Discord. "What the hell are you doing here Discord?" He asked, getting into a pouncing stance. "I just wanted to see the humans is all, so calm down." Discord responded with a joking smile. Black Night sighed with relief and got back to his standing stance. He eyed Discord closely, making sure Discord wasn't pulling any tricks. "Listen Discord," Black started, "I want you to leave and never come back. If you do, I'll make sure the princess knows when to turn you back into stone." At that, Discord flinched and shuttered for some miraculous reason. Probably because the thought of turning into stone was not the best of ways to go. "Oh fine, I'll go." He said, a smug smile spreading across Black's face. "On one condition." Then the smile was gone. "What is that exactly?" Black asked curiously. "If I leave, you can't tell the princess sisters about our 'issue' here and you have to give me a chance if I ever show up again. Deal?" Discord asked, a very smug look across his face. Black Night thought for a while, looking up. It was like that for a long while. I was getting bored, Discord was getting bored, Sam was getting bored, I mean Jesus Chri- "Deal." Black Night said, a small grin on his face. "Good. See you guys later." Discord said, waving his claw at us. We waved back and smiled. Discord's pretty cool once you got to know him, although he did make it awkward upstairs last night. I stretched and yawned, eyeing the door closely to make sure that Discord left. I cracked a smile and headed towards the door. When I reached it, I grabbed Moonlit's pencil and signaled him to follow. He did so and trotted over to me. "Bye dad!" He yelled, waiting to make sure his dad heard him. "Bye Moonlit, have a good day at school." Black Night replied, louder than usual. I guess he thought that Moonlit was a ways away. Me and Moonlit walked off the property and towards the school. I practically knew this town like the back off my hand. If I got lost, I would just simply ask for directions. Easy as pie. While we were walking, we heard footsteps come from behind us. Now, I'm not saying hoofsteps I'm saying footsteps. I looked over my shoulder and was surprised to see Sam following us. She saw that I was looking at her and she jogged over to my side. "What are you doing Sam?" I asked, giving her a questionable look. "I just wanted to walk with you guys." She responded rather quickly, a sheepish smile spreading across her face. I shrugged it off though, not wanting to know what happened after we left. Sam was acting very strange though, more nervous than anything. I could tell by the way she was looking at me. I could feel her eyes boring into my back, but every time I turned around, she looked away. Something was off, so after we dropped Moonlit off, I was going to ask her what was up. It took a few minutes but we finally reached the school. Every time I go near the school, all the little colts and filly's stared at me. It made me nervous to think of what they were thinking. When me and Sam waved and said our goodbye's to Moonlit, we were back on the road. It was quiet for a while until I remembered what I was going to ask her. "Hey Sam?" I asked, waiting for her to reply. "Yeah?" "What's up with you today? You're acting all jittery and shy around me for some reason." I said, emphasizing the question with my hands. The only time she acts so shy and nervous is when she asks me- oh. Now I knew why she was acting that way. "Hey Sam?" I asked, again waiting for her response. "Yes?" She replied nervously. "If you're going to ask me on a date, then you're going to have to do better than that." I said, a joking smile spread across my face. She chuckled sheepishly. "Heh, heh. Yeah, um... I was going to ask myself but I didn't know when the right time was." A sheepish smile grew wider as she finished her sentence. I sighed, looking back at her with my ever growing smile. She was still as beautiful as a sunset. Her eyes were greener than grass, hair was smoother than silk. I couldn't say no to a date with her. "Where do you want to go?" I asked her, looking around to see if there was any restaurants for us. "Want to go to Sugarcube Corner?" She suggested, giving me a hopeful look. "What's that?" I asked, giving her a confused look. "You don't know what Sugarcube Corner is? I've been here for a day and I know that place. It's the giant gingerbread house that Pinkie always goes to." She said, pointing at the confused Pinkie Pie sitting next to me. How the hell did she get over here without me hearing a single hoofstep? I swear Pinkie can defy the laws of physics and gravity. "What's going on?" The confused Pinkie Pie said, looking between me and Sam. "Sam wants to go to Sugarcube Corner for our date, but I don't know. What do you think Pinkie?" I asked, unsure if I should've asked her for her opinion on where we should go in the first place. "Well..." she started, raising a hoof to her chin, "You could always go ask Rarity on where to go, but I highly suggest Sugarcube Corner. I work there and I could make you two heart shaped cupcakes." She said with a large smile. I think she wanted for me and Sam to go too. I thought this because she had a hopeful look in her eyes. I sighed and ran my hand through my hair. There were two decisions but it was hard to pick the best one. Go to Sugarcube Corner, or ask Rarity for advice. I didn't know which one to choose so I shrugged. "I don't know." I said wonderingly, "I can't decide. So what I'm going to do is let Sam decide on where to go." Sam looked at me in confusion then soon realized what I had suggested for her to do. "Sugarcube Corner." She said excitedly. "Fine, but I want it to be calm." I said, looking over to Pinkie Pie, "Did you hear me Pinkie? I said I wanted it to be calm which means nopony else is allowed to interrupt our date unless it's an emergency." "Aye, aye, cap'n!" Pinkie said, saluting me as she did so. She soon dashed off towards what I believe was Sugarcube Corner. I rolled my eyes and faced Sam. She was walking towards me calmly, a lot less jittery than before, then wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me into a kiss. I couldn't resist it, mostly because I didn't want to resist, but she had locked her hands too. I could feel her soft lips pressing against mine, pulling me deeper into the kiss. We stayed like that for a few minutes, until she pulled away. She pressed her head against my chest and sighed comfortably. She was cute. Really cute. When we started walking home, I could tell she was still nervous for tonight. It's been a while since we went on a date together, so I'm sure I forgot what to do too. Once we reached the house, I quickly got ready for my date. I sat upon the couch utterly bored out of my mind. It was seven o'clock and Sam was still getting ready. I didn't know why she was taking so long but I couldn't blame her. Besides, she was probably just as nervous as me. I was worried that she was hurt or something until I heard footsteps coming down the staircase. I looked over my shoulder and my eyes widened at the beautiful sight. Sam had a rose red dress on with a yellow dandelion in her hair and some nice glass shoes. Kind of like Cinderella. "Ready?" She asked patiently, giving me a curious look. I nodded and walked to the door. As my hand wrapped itself around the door handle, I paused for a moment and took a deep breath. I was extremely nervous about tonight. What would I say? How would I act? These two questions went through my mind as we walked down to Sugarcube Corner. Sam noticed me acting strange and asked, "What's wrong Jack?" I looked over to her nervously and took another deep breath. I made eye contact with her and said, "I'm extremely nervous about tonight, especially when I don't know what to say and how to act. I'm nervous that I'll screw up our date and ruin our relationship." Ok, first of all, that last part was the 'over exaggerating' part of my brain, but the first was the side with common sense. I could screw up the date by saying something absolutely stupid and embarrass myself in front of Sam. The mere thought of that happening made me more nervous. "We're here!" Sam shouted excitedly, a happy smile on her face. I pulled my eyes up, only to see a giant gingerbread house that was the size of a local supermarket. It looked good on the outside, but it was even better on the outside. As we walked in, we received a huge whiff of the desserts that were being made by the one and only, Pinkie Pie. Pinkie looked over to the door and her eyes fell on us. A huge smile spread across her face and her eyes lit up. "Hey guys! Glad you could make it!" She yelled across the room. She trotted over to us and brought us over to a table. The table looked like it was prepared and waiting for us. The seats were larger than the rest of the seats there, the table was taller than the other tables, and there was forks and knives. All of these things were different than the other tables, probably because Pinkie wanted this to go just as well as we wanted it to go. As we sat down, cupcakes instantly popped out of nowhere, and Pinkie's smile grew wider. Me and Sam looked at each other then back at the cupcakes. We shrugged and started digging in. I swear this world has some type of artificial sugar because those cupcakes tasted better than the ones back on Earth. The cupcakes tasted like someone took a bunch of cookies and cake then shoved it into a small, delicious, hybrid cupcake. Although we wanted more, both of our stomachs were full of cupcakes. We thanked Pinkie and left Sugarcube Corner. Note to self: Always go to Sugarcube Corner on a date with Sam. As we were walking home, I couldn't help but notice the large, glimmering moon in the sky. Sam noticed it too, and we both came to a stop to admire the moon. "Hey Sam?" I asked, looking down at Sam. "Yeah?" "Who's your favorite singer again?" As those words left my lips, she turned around and faced me in confusion. She didn't know what I was going to do, but I knew perfectly. "Bruno Mars. Why?" She asked, still giving me a confused look. I made eye contact with her and smiled. Then I started singing, "Just The Way You Are". My throat was soar after that, but it was worth it. I wanted this to be special. Once I was done, she ran up to me and gave me a big hug. She was extremely happy that I sang her a song, happier than I expected. All-in-all, it was still the best night I've had in years. She was happy and I was happy. We pulled out of the hug and started home, Sam still holding my hand. We soon reached the house and knocked on the door. "Coming!" A voice behind the door said. Most likely Moonlit's because it was high pitched. Then, of course, we waited for all the locks to unlock. It took a while but soon the door opened and revealed Moonlit. He looked up at us in confusion, probably because he didn't know we went on a date. "Where were you guys? I thought you'd be home once I got out of school." He said, cocking his head to the side like a confused dog. The school hours here are longer than the school hours back on Earth. When I say, "longer", I mean two hours longer which I believe is way to much time being stuck in school. "We went on a date while you were at school." I replied softly, doing my best not to yawn. I couldn't help it though. Right after I finished the sentence, I yawned loudly. "Ok, while you two are still here, I'm going to bed. Goodnight!" Moonlit said, giving us a wave with his hoof as he trotted over to the stairs. Once he we heard his bedroom door close, me and Sam entered the living room and sat next to each other on the three-seated couch. It was comfortable, yet very sturdy. Sam relaxed her head against my shoulder and sighed softly. She closed her eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep. Once I thought she was asleep, I'd go to sleep right next to her. I heard dreamland calling my name, causing my eyelids to become heavy. I was comfy, I was happy, I felt safe. I was happy with Sam next to me. Then my eyelids slowly closed, causing me to fall asleep slowly. I yawned one last time then leaned my head back. Everything was nice and quiet. Everything was sleeping. I was sleeping. Chapter 6: The KidnapEver had one of those moments when you wake up and you suddenly have a migraine? That's what happened to me when I woke up that morning. When I opened my eyes, I shut them quickly. The pain was unbearable. It was like having someone beat your head with a baseball bat. That wasn't a good start to a day. At least it wasn't my worst. I feel something nudge my shoulder, causing me to jump a little. But I relax as I see it's Sam. "Are you okay?" She asked worriedly, giving me a curious look. "Depends on what you mean by, 'okay'." I respond sarcastically. She didn't like that though and she gave me a frown shortly after. I rolled my eyes, which hurt very much, and answered, "I have a migraine that hurts as much as getting beaten with a baseball bat." Once those words escaped my lips, her angry face turned into a heart warming smile. I smiled back, but the pain soon became worse. I rubbed my head, trying my hardest to get the pain to go away. It seemed like every time I tried to think about something my brain would go bonkers and try to kill me slowly. Then it suddenly stopped, like it was never there. I sighed with relief as the pain went away. "It stopped," I said comfortingly, turning my head towards Sam, "I feel better now. Thanks for caring." She rolled her eyes and stood up. I could see that she was still in her dress from last night, and so was I. "I am going to go get changed. When I come down you're going to get changed too." She said calmly with a smile spread across her face. I nodded, she left the room, and I was left alone. Hello? A voice asked suddenly. I literally jumped and looked around for the voice I heard. My eyes darted around the room, eyeing every detail closely. Where did it come from? No clue, I just knew that it was there. I didn't want to sit down and then suddenly be stabbed by a pony. Don't panic, just stay calm. I'm the reason that you might have had a headache, but I'm here for a reason. The voice asked, causing me to jump again. Again, my eyes darted around the room, I couldn't have seen him but I could hear him. It always sounded like he was behind me, but every time I checked, he wasn't there. "Hello?" I called out, "Who are you and what are you doing here?" A bit off topic but I'll answer nonetheless. My name is Visionary Mind, and I am currently following your every move. Okay, this is weird. I'm talking to something that might want to kill me but it sounds so near. What am I going to do? I thought, moving around the room slowly. Listen, I'm not going to kill you, and I'm not near you, I'm in you. Your mind to be exact. When I heard those words, I froze. I didn't know how he heard my thoughts, and I didn't want to know. Am I going crazy? I thought to myself, running my hand through my hair. If I was going crazy, then I would have to lay off of the waffles. Otherwise I may end up in an Insane Asylum. No you're not. If you were, there would be a multitude of voices in your head, but there's only one. Me. The voice responds almost proudly. Okay, one more time. Who are you? What are you? How the actual fuck did you get in my head? I asked the voice, closing my eyes so I could focus better. Alright then. My name is Visionary Mind. I am a ghost who goes around Equestria entering the minds of unknown creatures. I got into your head with a special, let's say, key. Your head, as well as every other creature's head, is like a lock and I have the key to enter it when I want too, and I can leave if I have too. The Visionary responds. What do you mean 'if I have too'? I asked, scrunching up my face. What I mean by that, is that I stay in a creature's mind until I get called back by the princesses. I enjoy invading minds you know, causing creatures to go bat-shit crazy. It'd definitely be fun if you were me. He answered lazily. Wait, did you say the princesses? Why of course. Why else would I be in your head? Visionary asks curiously. Why the hell do they need you in my head? Because they want me to monitor you to make sure you don't do anything bad. Which reminds me, what are you exactly? He asked questionably, causing me to hesitate on the answer. Well, my species is called, 'Humans', but if you want to know who I am, I'm Jack. Alright. That's enough information to send back to the princesses. I can't wait to get home and in my bed. Until next time? Until next time. With that, a shiver was sent down my spine, probably because he left, but who knew? Shortly after his departure, I made my way to the bathroom upstairs. The walk was calm and silent, I could only hear my footsteps and the bath running upstairs. Once I reached the top of the staircase, however, I turned to face the bathroom door. It was locked most likely. I didn't care though, just wanted something to pass the time. The running bath water suddenly stopped and I heard Sam slip in with a sploosh. Now I played the waiting game. To my surprise, she finished rather quickly. It took only, maybe, ten minutes. She usually stayed in there for twenty, but I didn't care. All I knew was that I needed to go in after she left so I wouldn't smell like moldy milk. Speaking of which, I raised my armpit and took a small sniff. As I did so, my mind told me not to do it, but my body didn't listen. My life just flashed before my eyes as I my face scrunched up and I started gagging. I smelled awful. How the hell did I smell so bad if the last time I took a shower was... oh. Forget you ever heard any of this. I was brought back to my senses as I heard the bathroom door creak open. When I glanced over, I saw Sam standing in the doorway with a towel rapped around herself. Her long, brown hair reached her shoulders in a straight line. She was hot. She saw me staring at her and waved a hand in front of my face, which brought me back to reality. "Jack," She started, "Get in the shower and stop staring at me." I smiled sheepishly and hopped into the bathroom, closing the door behind me. I sighed with relief as I heard her footsteps go down the stairs. That was kind of embarrassing if you ask me. I looked over to the bath tub that was still full of hot steamy water, and started taking of my clothes. I turned around and made sure that the door was locked. Sure enough, it was. Then I walked over to the bath tub and got in. It was soothing but made me a little uncomfortable because of the sudden warmth. But a bath is a bath, and I couldn't do anything about it. I looked for bar soap or some shampoo, and, luckily, there was bar soap right next to me on the edge of the bath tub. I grabbed the bar soap and started washing my body, especially my armpits. A few minutes later, I was done. I had to sniff my armpits to make sure though. Didn't want to go outside smelling like a bag of mold now would I? Once I was satisfied that I smelled good, I got out of the tub and dried myself off with a towel. As I was drying myself off, I could hear chatter coming from downstairs. Must have been up to yelling circumstances since I could hear it through the floor. I walked over to the door with the towel rapped around my waist, and opened it slowly. Whatever was going on downstairs didn't seem okay to me. So I quickly slipped into some jeans and a shirt then quickly hustled down the stairs. When I got there, I was shocked. I could see Black Night surrounded by a group of black-plated Unicorns that didn't look happy, Moonlit was over in the corner crying, Rose was knocked out cold sprawled on the floor, and the thing that made me want to grab onto all the ponies and kill them was that they were taking Sam away. I couldn't allow that. I sprinted towards the Unicorn carrying Sam but was caught short when something hit my forehead, causing me to fall to the ground. I could hear the faint crying of Sam being carried away and the Unicorns trotting out the door with her. I raised my head and saw a tall Unicorn stallion in front of me. He didn't look happy and neither did I. "Listen," He said sternly, "Don't try to follow us or else we'll torture your friend. If you want to know why we want her, you can have this note." As he finished, he pulled a little letter out from his pouch and placed it next to me. Then he nodded to somepony behind me and then everything went black. When I woke up, my head was throbbing. I didn't want to get up, I didn't want to move, but I had to make sure that everypony was okay. I placed both my hands flat on the ground and pushed myself to my knees. I glanced around the room and saw it was a mess. Tables were flipped, knives were in the walls, and the portraits were sprawled across the ground. It looks like someone took a leaf blower and blew everything around. Then the silence broke as I heard a soft weeping coming from behind me. I turned around and found Moonlit in the corner with a black eye, crying softly. He was hurt. He didn't do anything that I saw that caused the Unicorns to punch him, but they did anyways. If I wasn't pissed before, I was now. I grimaced as I slowly crawled over to Moonlit. Every push felt like a fire erupted in my arms, but I had to help Moonlit. I had to comfort him so he wouldn't be as sad. He heard the sound of me grunting as I crawled over to him and his weeping stopped. He was surprised for some reason, like I was the only survivor. As I reached him, I propped myself up against the wall, right next to Moonlit. Now I noticed it was probably past midnight saying it was pitch black outside. The moonlight, however, illuminated our living room through a broken window. I looked down to Moonlit and saw that he was staring straight forward with a look of fright on his face. This made me worried, very worried. As I slowly followed his gaze, I saw two dark silhouettes on the ground, a dark red blood puddle around them. I slowly stood up, wanting to make sure I didn't cause too much pain to erupt in my legs. Once I was at my full height, I made my way over to the bodies. I froze as I started to recognize their faces, tears started pouring down my face and I painfully fell to my knees. I stared at the corpses of Black Night and Rose, the ones who protected me, the ones who were good in this world, the only ponies I cared for. They were both gone... forever. I turned to face Moonlit who was still staring in horror. I, on the other hand, was still on my knees crying my eyes out. After a few minutes of non-stop crying, I straightened up. I knew what I had to do. I was going to get revenge. I was going to kill the pony who killed my friends. Then I felt something in my hand. Something made out of paper. I raised my right hand and saw a small envelope. I tore it open and pulled out the small letter inside. I opened it up and read through it. Dear Creature, if you could understand the words that I had spoken to you, then you'll know what this letter is about. Since you opened this letter, I'll explain why we've taken your friend. We need her to buy ourselves some time to resurrect the King of Cruelty. He was once the ruler of Equestria, but was soon overthrown by those disgusting sisters. How will your friend buy us time, you ask? The princess sisters don't like to harm innocent creatures, which is why we need her. If you have any type of wisdom, you won't come looking for your friend. If you do, we'll murder her and capture that colt that was with you, and we promise that we will harm him. Don't forget to tell the princess sisters about this. Hope you enjoy the final months of peace in Ponyville, for they'll be your last. If you want to try to stop us, you'll have to walk to the Crystal Empire. Which is seventy degrees below freezing now that Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor are out of commission. This has been, yours truly, Sandstorm Dagger. As I slowly pulled the letter away from my face, I could feel rage boiling inside me. They took the one girl I loved, and used her as a diversion to resurrect their so-called King of Cruelty?! That was unacceptable. I turned to Moonlit with the most hopeful look I could muster and said, "Moonlit, I need you to go to Twilight, hand her this letter, and tell her that I'm already on my way with tons of food, water, and clothing." Once those words left my mouth, Moonlit put an extremely confused face on, but then nodded. I held out the letter and he bit it with his teeth and trotted out the door. Shortly after he left, I rose to my feet. I hustled up the stairs and grabbed a large bag. I stuffed a bunch of coats and thick paints into it until it was full. Then I ran to the fridge and did the same thing except with food. Then I ran to the sink and filled a large canteen with water. Then I was ready, and under ten minutes too. I packed everything on my back and hesitated at the doorway. I looked over my shoulder and saw their corpses still sprawled across the ground. It made me feel dead inside, but I resisted to cry again. I looked to my left and found a knife buried far into the wall. If I was going alone, I needed a weapon to protect myself with. I wrapped my hand around the end of the knife and slowly pulled it out. It was easy to pull out and was as light as a feather. Sharp too. This was the perfect weapon. I slid the knife into the side of my shoe for situations like getting attacked. Then I left the building and headed North for my journey from Ponyville to the Crystal Empire. The train station was probably going to be closed so I had to walk the whole way. It's going to take a few weeks or months, but it'll be worth it. I sighed angrily as the memory of the Unicorns taking Sam away from me appeared before my very eyes. I was going to kill them, I was going to get my revenge, and nothing was going to stop me. Chapter 7: Into The UnknownSomething has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.Prologue: The Story Begins"Jesus Christ, can we take a break? My legs are throbbing Jack!" Gavin said. I sigh, looking back at Gavin. He was always lazy, and a bit chubby too, but I didn't think he would be so tired after a walk. We've only walked about a mile into the forest, and now we're going downhill! "We're going downhill right now Gavin, this has to be some type of relief for you. Besides, we're almost there." I look to Knowa, my friend, to make sure he's still following. I smile at my friend who is following and ask, "How you holding up?" I face forward to make sure that I don't trip and fall down the hill. "I'm fine Jack, but I don't know about this fat ass over here." Knowa says giving Gavin a joking look. Gavin just furrows his eyebrows and looks at Knowa. "I am not fat Knowa," Gavin says looking forwards. "I just not as strong as you guys." Knowa laughs at Gavin's response, "Says the one who didn't turn out for any sport for our whole school year." Knowa says jokingly. Gavin just folds his arms and groans, looking away from Knowa. "Come on guys, don't fight we're almost there." I say. We stopped walking downhill and started walking on the flat ground. Trees were above us, nearly blocking out the sun. Bushes were everywhere, luckily, none of them were sticker bushes or poisonous. For some reason, I don't remember this in the forest. I've explored all around this place when I was a kid, but never remembered vines and thick trees. Something tugs on my shoulder. I look down and spot my girlfriend, looking back up at me with those beautiful green eyes, holding onto my arm. She looks worried. "What's wrong Sam?" I ask looking at her. "Do you recognize any of this? Like, have you been in this area of the forest?" Sam asks, looking around worriedly. I look behind me and see that the area behind us has changed too. My eyes widen and I look back at her. "OK Sam, we may possibly have a problem," I say calmly. "We're lost." Her eyes widen. I look at the rest of my friends and, by the look on their faces, they heard me. "So, you're saying that we're lost?" Knowa asks worriedly. I look at Sam and back at Knowa and nod. He puts his hand over his mouth and then runs his hand through his brown hair. "Oh my fucking God." He says just above a whisper. I just sigh and say, "It's alright, w-we just have to retrace our steps and go somewhere close to Stevenson." Sam nods and holds closer to me, shaking nervously. I turn around and walk towards the way we came. We walk a few yards, but notice that we don't see anything different. I sigh and whisper to myself, "Yep, we are definitely lost." I suddenly hear a growl and my hole body tenses up. I turn around slowly and squint, looking for anything that moves. My eyes widen when I see a creature that I would usually only see in Greek Mythology books. I study the creature closely; It has a scorpion tail, and a lions body, with some pretty sharp teeth, and dragon wings! "A Manticore." I whisper to myself. "Run!" The beast roars and starts to dash towards us with extreme speed! We all scream and sprint the opposite direction. I run faster than I ever have in my entire life. I feel like I could run forever. But, I know that isn't true. Gavin stumbles over a log and falls to the ground. I turn back and yell, "Gavin! Get up!" He gets up, and he barely notices that the Manticore is a few yards away. I am a few feet away myself, and I know, if I don't distract that Manticore, Gavin is going to be lunch. I spot a thick branch a few feet away and run towards it. I quickly grip onto it and sprint towards the Manticore. My friend Gavin turns around, and if his pupils could get smaller, they wouldn't be seen. The Manticore leaps at Gavin, bearing its huge, sharp teeth. I run towards it, and ram into it with my shoulder, pushing it off course away from my friend. It lands on its back but quickly gets back up onto all fours. I yell to Gavin, "Run you fat bastard!" As I speak, I get into a stance and look at the Manticore. Gavin does so and runs away from the Manticore, while I stay behind and distract it. The Manticore leaps towards me, bearing claws, teeth, and its scorpion tail. I dive to the right, barely getting scratched by the Manticore. I run towards it, and beat it with the stick. I think I underestimated it, because when I hit it, it got up and smacked me a few yards backwards. I got dizzy for a bit, and grunted in pain. But I forced my eyes open and saw the Manitcore slowly approaching me with its teeth bared. I looked over to my left and made sure that my friends weren't in view. Luckily, they weren't. I sighed and decided I was ready to accept fate. The Manticore leaps at me, bearing its teeth. I close my eyes and tense up. Suddenly, I hear a pew and I flinch at the unexpected sound. I slowly open my eyes and see a Manitcore with a hole in its stomach. Blood slowly oozing out like honey. I look up and see something covered in a purple color. I can't make out what, or who, it is. All I know is, that i will either live, or die. Then my vision fades to black.
Chapter 1: Welcome to PonyvilleI am laying down in a very dark room, on a very uncomfortable bed.
We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.
Prologue: The Story Begins"Jesus Christ, can we take a break?
