I love her. She's beautiful, kind, caring and honest, oh but very delicate. This ''love'' stuff is super weird I'm still not exactly sure what to think of it. I'm a little hesitant, not to say I was never in love, oh no I've had crushes, but this one was super intense. Super! Super! Super! But she couldn't possibly love me right? We were only in middle school, and besides I think she hates me. She's been super quiet since she moved to Ponyville, I think she's trying to avoid me, and I wanted to throw a party for her, but I don't think she likes parties.
But I love her. How can you love someone when they might not like you? That's depressing if you think about it, technically that's unrequited love, but why did I love someone who might not like me back? These things are too complicated.
Maybe my friend Rarity will know, she is like the most experience in love kind of mare, she could have some advice.
Her beautiful mane, her beautiful eyes, her beautiful-ugh, I'm getting distracted. Should I ask this new mare out? And how do I do it?
Go to the prom dance? Oh boy that would be fun. There would be loud music and we'd dance hard! I love prom dances, and there's one coming up!
I rung the doorbell to the Carousel Boutique.
''Coming,'' Rarity's voice said, she opened the door. ''Why hello darling! Come in!''
I hop in.
''Rare, I need your advice.'' I said.
''Oh what kind?'' Rarity asked.
''My heart is going crazy for somepony..'' I said. ''Like really crazy, and I think my heart falls down in my stomach whenever she comes by.''
''Ooh, looks like somepony is in love.'' Rarity said with a little smile.
''I want to ask her out, but I think she hates me..'' I said.
''Who's the lucky mare?'' Rarity asked with a giggling look.
''Fluttershy.'' I said with a deep sigh.
With this look Rarity's giggling became even more intense, a deep crimson red came over her face, and she was struggling to stop giggling. What happened to Rarity? Was she drunk!? No, she couldn't be.
''What? What's so funny? Do you know what Fluttershy thinks of me?'' I asked.
Rarity nodded. ''I'm not allowed to tell you.''
''Does she like me!? Does she like? Maybe she likes me!'' I said with a laugh and a giggle
Why else would Rarity not tell me? It has to be because Fluttershy likes me back!
''You should do it darling,'' Rarity said. ''Ask her out tomorrow she'll be at the lake, since it's a weekend, that would be a good time to ask her out.''
''Where should I ask her out to? I was thinking of the prom dance.'' I said excited.
Rarity's smile faded.
''Well, she isn't exactly into prom dances and that kind of thing.'' Rarity said.
''Oh.'' I said.
''Remember Pinkie, the best thing of a relationship is when the two mares work together.'' Rarity said. ''And Pinkie, the most important thing is to be yourself, never change yourself just for a mare.''
''I'll try to remember that.'' I said.
I sit outside, I finished my homework so I had no worries, but I kept thinking of the million responses that Fluttershy would have. I didn't even know what to say. Be yourself, Rarity's words echo in my mind. I was going to invite her to my house and throw a huge ''ask her out'' party, but she does not really like parties, I think pretty deep.
Love is a tough case. I had to prepare myself for asking her out, and then click. I'll write a poem!

I felt excited, it had a nice beat to it, and it seemed the perfect way to ask her out!! I jumped with excitement, this is my chance, this is the way I'll ask Fluttershy out. I practice it a few times, I got it! But then doubt tugs at me if she says no then I don't know what would happen. I felt a little afraid, but I had to get over my fears and be brave!
There she was, the mare of my dreams. Instantly, my heart fell into my innards, and the butterflies were awoken and flew around bumping around in my stomach. I felt dizzy, I don't think I was able to speak, amazed by her beauty.
''H-hey Fluttershy..'' I squeak.
This is weird, I've never sound nervous in front of anyone before! I'm usually jumping around and having fun! But I guess that's what love's many strange effects are.
Fluttershy blushed and smiled as she said a very soft hi.
''May I join you!" I said.
''Sure, I'm just relaxing..'' Fluttershy said.
''I love relaxing..'' I said.
Fluttershy just did a little nod of her head as she looked on at the sky, her eyes seemed like she was in a distant world, her mind looking at different things.
I love her. I love her so much, and I have to do it, I feel a deep breath tug at me.
I recited the poem.
At first I couldn't believe I just said that. I felt so astonished at myself, secondly I looked at Fluttershy she looked very red, and had a certain little smile of pleasure.
''I may be quiet and very shy
When your around, my heart flies
Your very thoughtful, Pinkie, and yes
I'll be your marefriend''
I feel the moment is right, I feel the moment is beautiful, I lean down and give her a kiss on hee cheek.
She smiles.
