A unexpected visit from a unwanted guest. ch-1 (Unedited)
I was trudging down the muddy back alley my sack over my shoulder. What's in the sack you might ask? A few shards crystal, a star rune, and some chalk. Why would I have such strange objects in my sack? Another question you could ask. Well you see... I'm a sorcerer. And the objects are for my teacher, he's gong to teach me how to open a window the size of a looking glass into another world. And why am I walking down a dark back alley? Well you see, sorcerers are outlaw's.
I'm not part of some kind of crime organization or anything. the reason we are outlaws is the orders fault. The order is a group of bigots who think magick is a horrible terrible thing. Now magick isn't all that bad. Sure you'll have some criminals use it for theft and murder. And there will be some battle mages laying waste to the opposing army.
But there's good in magic too. It could cure almost any disease and stitch back together any flesh wound (Tis only a flesh wound!). It could also make once deselect land into a lunches farming plains. The order only focused on the dark side of magick. They first started out as a little group. But they quickly grew in numbers. They convinced some of the higher ups that Magick is evil. After a few years they even managed to convince the king that magick was evil.
Now the king isn't a bad person he lead the nation into 19 years of peace (that's 19 more then last time!) The order probably told him that having magick run amok could somehow send the kingdom into war.
I made it to my small little shack and bounced up to the door eager to start. I grabbed the door nob and threw open the door. "Gah!" My teacher was on his feet staring at me with a panicked expression. "Oh its only you." My teacher said looking much more calm "did you get the supplies I asked for?"
"Uh yes I got everything you needed."
"Good now we can begin, well after dinner we can. And close the door will you its getting cold in here." He stated
I closed the door behind me and walked farther into our small humble shack. I set the sack near the basement door and went over to the bookcase looking for something to pass the time so with."so what are we going to eat?" I asked "surprise stew." He called back great surprise stew, last time he made it he put rat brains into it. Just thinking about that makes me want to barth.
I returned my attention back to the bookcase for something interesting. My eyes landed on large red dusty book with silver lining. I grabbed the book and walking over to our reading chair. I blew the dust off the book making sneeze a couple of times. After I was done making their world a Germier place I looked at the title of the book.
tales of the wind waker
"Interesting name" I said
I opened the book to the first page and started to read
"Diners done!" My teacher called to me "Alright be right over!' I called back to him. I set the book down next to me on the coffee table. I stood up and stretched. Many of my joints popped with a satisfying sound. I walked over to the kitchen. We had a small but humble kitchen. There wasn't much, we had a dinner table, a sink, and a stove. I sat down in one of the five chairs. My teacher put a bowl and spoon in front of me. "Thank you" I say nodding my head. My teacher just nods back at me.
I grasped the spoon in my hand and filled it with the stew my teacher made for us. I Raised the spoon to my mouth and took a sip of the stew. "huh this is actually pretty good, what's in it?" I asked as i put the rest of the stew into my mouth. "manticore testicles." I quickly spit it back into the bowl. "What!" I said in horror. "The meat, its manticore testicles." He replied. "Where did you even get them! And why would you put them in the stew!" I said "I got them from some butcher's shop named mystical meats." "i'm never eating your mystery stew again."I stated "Eh, you lose." he said as he put a spoon full of the foul stew into his mouth. "After where done eating were going to start your lesson. And if you're not going to eat why don't you go down stairs and clean it up?"
I sighed and got out of the chair. "alright" I said to him. I made my way over to the stairs that led down into the basement. "But I don't do windows" I added. "But we don't even have windows in the basement?" My teacher said simply.
Okay so I swept, moved a few things and, moped. The basement looks a little better but still looks like crap. I heard my teacher coming down the stairs. "Are we starting?" I asked getting a little excited. my teacher looked at me and smiled "yes we are" I smiled back at him. "here take these" My teacher gave me a pouch and a book. "what are these?" I said puzzled. "those are the items you are going to need for the lesson." I looked in the pouch and in it was the items that I grabbed earlier. And upon observing the book I found out that it was called. Runes And Diagrams For Dummies
"Okay The first thing you need to do is draw a moon diagram" He told me. I scanned the book for the moon diagram, and after a few minutes of searching I found it. I grabbed the chalk from the pouch and Crouched down,I Slowly drew the diagram, not wanting to make a mistake. It took me a couple minutes but I finally managed to finish it.

"Good job, Now I want you to take the crystal shards and put them in all of the outside circles." I did as told and grabbed the crystal putting one in each of the outer circles.
"Well done, Now put the star rune in the middle circle." I listened to him and put the star rune into the inner circle.
"Okay now I want you to look back at the moon diagram and see how much ME (Magical energy) is required to activate it." I opened the book and looked back at the moon diagram. It said it needed 250 ME. I gulped. 'Its okay, if it gets to hard for you I'll caste my mana into the diagram also." He said obviously noticing that i gulped. "Alright. thank you." I said as i put the book down.
I closed my eyes are focused on the diagram, I slowly started casting my mana into his, I could hear a soft hum. Sweat started to form of my brow.
"come on, you can do it Zack!" My teacher encouraged.
I sat there for about half a minute focusing on the diagram. "Zack." my teacher quietly called to me "Zack open your eyes!" I opened my eyes and what I say in front of me took my breath away. There where luscious green fields spread out allover the land. And a huge beautiful ocean. But what took most of my attention, was the castle. a huge golden city hanging of the side of the mountain with tall magnificent towers.
When I looked a bit closer I could see the inhabitants of the beautiful land. Ponies, ponies everywhere flying around in the sky,and milling about on the surface. "It's beautiful." My teacher said next to me. "Yea." I said dumbly "You did a good job Zack." "Thank you." I said while staring at the hole in dimensions. "Well I'm going to head upstairs, you coming?" He asked me. "No I think I'm gonna stay down here. I wan't to watch this land a little more before it goes away." " Alright, I'll be upstairs." He stated. And without another word he wen't upstairs.
I couldn't stop staring at the window between worlds. It looks so amazing, so peaceful. "So much better then ours." I whispered. They looked so happy, free of the order's grasp. I sighed. I wish I could be there. Away from all of this pain. The window was starting to shut down so I started to slowly caste my mana into it to keep it open.
I heard a few knocks on the door upstairs. "Eh, teach can answer it." I said to myself. I focused back to the window "Please, let me go there, It's so much better then here." I could here someone running upstairs. No a lot of people running upstairs. "Teacher, is everything alright?!" I yelled up to him. Then I felt a great wave of magick. "Teacher!" I stood up. I Then heard running coming down the stairs. I took a few steeps back away from the stairs.
My teacher came down the stairs, covered in blood. "teacher, what happened!" I cried. "The order, there here." He warned. "save yourself." His breather was quick and ragged. "we have to get you some medical attention!" I yelled "No! don't it's to late for me." "Bu-" I started to say. A sword jutted from his chest. "Run." He said with his last breath. The sword withdrew from his chest.
Behind him where 3 paladins Covered in heavy enchanted armor. " There's another one! Get him!" The one in front shouted. The other two paladins wen't around to my sides. The one in the middle took a few steps towards me. "Why are you doing this!" I cried. "Quite you fiend!" He shouted at me. I took a few steps back away from him.
There was no way to get away from these paladins. The stairs where behind them, and there's no way i'd be able to get past them. But there might be one way out. If I tamper with the window a little bit I could turn it into a portal. But there's a chance it'll explode. But to do that I need time, and that's something I don't have. I need a distraction, some idle chit-chat could buy me some time. I put my hand behind my back so they wouldn't be able to see the faint glow coming from my hand.
"So... What's your guy's names?" I said
"Shut up!" The leader yelled at me
"hey I just wan't to know the names of the people who are going to kill me, what am I going to do if I'm dead?"
"e dose kinda ave a point." The one on my right said
"Fine, we'll tell you our names. Mine's Alderman." The leader told me,
"Mine's Frey." The one on my left murdered quietly
"An mine's Wilkin!"
Come on almost got it! I'm so close to escaping! All I needed was a few more minutes and I'd be free!
"Well gentleman It was nice talking to you all, but I really must get going!" I started to slowly walk backwards.
"Where do you think your going?!" Alderman asked me menacingly taking a step towards me.
"Oh you know, places." I took another step towards the window soon to be portal.
"Your not going anywhere! Your going to join your teacher in hell!" Frey said Readying his sword
"I'd like to see you make me." I challenged narrowing my eyes. The hum from the window started to get louder, indicating that the portal was opening.
I quickly turned around and bolted for the portal. "Oi! Where the ell do ye think yer going!" Wilkin yelled at me. "Away from you monsters and this corrupted land!" I said before jumping threw the portal.
The first thing I realized was that I was falling, fast. I opened my eyes and found myself to be VERY far up. "Oh crap!" My eyes widening in terror. I wasn't going to escape those Templars just to fall to my death! Below me was a forest, which was good the branches could help save me from becoming a puddle! But It wouldn't be enough, I need to somehow slow my decent.
I have an idea that might work. I could try to telekeneticly slow my decent. I began to concentrate on my body, imagining a hand grasping me and pulling me up. I felt the slight tingle of magic encasing my body. The ground was coming closer every second. 3 2 1...
I hit the trees hard. Knocking the wind out of me. I fell down and hit my back on a branch before falling down to the ground below, face first. I just lay there for a second, groaning in pain. "Ow..." I slowly got onto my knees, my body protesting in agony. "That hurt like hell." I looked around me. I was in a thick forest the trees so dense it blocked out most of the sunlight.
"Now just where did I land?" I ask myself. I am in a forest obviously. I think back to the window between dimensions. And if i remember correctly there should be a town semi close by. I stand the rest of the way up (my body still aching.) "Now what direction is this town?" I question. I look around me looking for a path or something. But all I see is the Erie forest surrounding me. "If climb on of these trees I should hopefully be able to see the town." I say to myself
I shuffle over to the nearest tree and start climbing. In about 5 minutes I'm at the top (Would have taken a shorter amount of time if I wasn't in so much pain.) I scan the land around me looking for any sings of the town. There, off to the west a bit. I can see the town!
I climb back down the tree then set off for the village. Hopefully nothing goes wrong.
