Roseluck

    Roseluck was born to a rich family and ultimately, that would have been a good thing for her had she not been so painfully shy!

She was never very lady like, or controllable because of this she was not invited to eat at the table with her mother and father. This broke her heart. She had eleven brothers, and twelve sisters and they all seemed to hate her. All except for her little sister Hopt she demanded that they leave Roseluck alone! They always hurt Hopt with their cruel words. One day while her brothers and sisters were teasing Hopt Roseluck was covering her ears with her hooves "enough!" she screamed they all stopped and looked at her all but Hopt she looked very pleased.

       She screamed so loud  her parents came to see what was going on.

"Roseluck!" her mother squeaked "what was so important that you had to yell like that?" asked her father anger on his face. "They... They were

hurting Hopt" she said her shy manner returned. "You shan't blame others" said her mother she shook her head " it's unladylike" she said. "You did something" her father said sternly "tell the truth"! he yelled angrily"Besides" her mother added "any child of mine would never think of such things" she added muzzle in the air  "oh I can tell the truth" said Honey.

      Roseluck 's father  turned to her "we were teasing Roseluck and Hopt was standing up for her" said Honey.

"I Never lie" she said "lying is wrong" she said. She said "we did" she repeated "we did". Her father stared in disbelief "but thats impossible"! He said angrily staring at his children he said "is that true"! He yelled with fury. He stormed off in a huff how could  they even think to tease his little filly! Hopt was going to bed early tonight he thought then his wife ran to comfort him. After that her siblings never teased her again ever.

    It was about time for Roseluck to go to school and she was scared to death!
