Sunset Shimmer awoke to her phone buzzing loudly on her bedside table. She groaned and stared at the phone hoping whoever it was would give up soon.

The phone stopped ringing for only a moment before buzzing again. Sunset sighed as she sat up, deciding it must be important if they were calling more than once in the dead of the night. She lifted the phone and flipped it open, "Hello..." she groaned.

"Sunset Shimmer?" The quiet voice asked. "It's me... Sonata... can I ask a favor?"

Sunset mentally groaned when she heard the name, but it had only been a week since the battle of the bands and she truly believed the Dazzlings could be reformed, just as she was... when shown a little kindness. "What do you need, Sonata?" she asked.

"Well... Aria and Adagio kicked me out of the house tonight. I really don't want to sleep outside again... could I stay with you?" The siren pleaded.

Sunset yawned loudly before answering, taking the time to think about it. She really did not have a lot of space in her apartment and she only had one bedroom. Sunset did not even own a couch for the girl to sleep on.

"Sonata, I only have a one-bedroom apartment... Why don't you try Pinkie Pie or something?" Sunset asked.

"Well, cause you're the only one I know who lives alone and I don't wanna bother anybody." Sonata said. "Pinkie's got a big family, Dash has her dad, Applejack has her siblings and her grandma, Rarity has her little sister tonight-"

"Okay, I get it." Sunset cut off the other girl. Then she thought for a moment. "Wait, how do you know all that?"

"Well Aria and Adagio spent the first week before the battle of the bands stalking you guys. They said something about know you're enemy and now we know where you live, who you talk to, what you do in your spare time... that sort of thing." Sonata said, unashamed.

Sunset did not even try to her groan, "I should have known." she said. "Well then, I guess I don't have to give you any directions?"

"Nope." Sonata chirped happily. "Does this mean I can stay?" the siren asked.

"Do you have a key to my apartment?" Sunset asked fearing she already knew the answer.

"Well, yeah, we got keys to all of your friends houses. Adagio said we might need them, but I took them don't worry." Sonata replied.

Sunset slapped a hand to her face as she sighed again loudly. "You can stay if you give me those keys." she said.

A happy gasp on the other end of the line. "Thank you, thank you, thank you." The Siren's happy squeal hurt Sunset's ears, yet she couldn't keep her smile from forming. "I'll be there in a minute." Wait what?

The click of the front door unlocking was startling until Sunset remembered what the girl said. She stood from the bed not even bothering to put on pants.

Sunset walked to the living room to find Sonata happily rolling a blanket out on the floor. "What are you doing?" Sunset asked.

Sonata looked up at Sunset and smiled. "I didn't wanna be a bother so I was just gonna sleep on the floor in here." she said. "You don't have a couch..." Sonata said glumly.

Sunset fought with herself for a moment. The only furniture she did have was a chair and her bed. She could always offer to let the siren sleep in her bed... but she really did not want to sleep in the floor. Still, she thought, the others showed me kindness to get me on my feet... she needs the same thing. "Why don't you take my bed?" Sunset asked.

Sonata looked at her uneasily. "What's in it for you?" she asked suspiciously.

"Nothing," Sunset giggled. "You're my guest so you deserve the bed... after you give me those keys." Sunset said.

"Where will you sleep?" Sonata asked rifling through her pockets, presumably for the keys.

"I can sleep in the floor." Sunset said, trying to hide just how upset she was at the whole situation.

"No, I couldn't do that. I think that's a fax pass." Sonata said.

"You mean faux pas?" Sunset asked.

"I don't think your saying it right." The siren smiled as she pulled a key ring out of her jacket pocket. "Maybe..." the siren hesitated.

"What?" Sunset asked.

"Maybe... we could share?" Sonata prompted.

Sunset shrugged casually. "Sure. I don't know about you, but I really wasn't looking forward to sleeping on the floor." She replied as she took the keys from Sonata. "I'll lock up, you can borrow some of my pajamas if you want. I don't really wear them." Sunset said gesturing to her panties and T-shirt.

"That's usually what I wear too... if that's okay." Sonata said sheepishly.

"I suppose that's fine." Sunset called as she locked the door. She really did not mind the girls presence now that she knew she could sleep in her own bed tonight.

Sunset looked around for a place to hide the keys she was given as she gave the blue haired girl a chance to get settled into their bed for the night. She noticed a bowl of fruit sitting on her kitchen counter not far from the front door, so she decided to stick the keys under a pear until she could return the keys to her friends.

On her walk down the hallway back to her room Sunset felt the phone still clutched in her hand vibrate again. She rolled her eyes as she answered, stopping in the hallways so as not to disturb her new friend. "Hello."

"Sunset Shimmer?" The voice at the other end of the line sounded dreadfully familiar. "This is Adagio Dazzle, I need to ask you something."

Sonata was one thing. Sunset knew that she may have joined with the other sirens of her own free will, still she had a decent personality and a cute face. She was always smiling and happy and even before the battle of the bands she was not really difficult to get along with.

Adagio was another thing entirely. She had a terrible personality and a permanent smug expression on her face. She was always either scowling angrily or smiling smugly at someone she was verbally torturing and even after the battle of the bands she had been showing herself a real bitch.

"What do you want?" Sunset asked slightly angrily. Just two days ago Adagio had tripped her in the hallway at the mall and she still remembered it.

"We went to feed Sonata and she wasn't in the doghouse, is she with you?" Adagio asked.

"No." Sunset lied. Something about Adagio's tone made her feel slightly defensive of the siren currently in her home.

A sigh on the other line. "Look, I'm warning you... if she's there and you aren't telling me, you'll regret it."

Even though the siren on the phone could not see it, Sunset couldn't help but narrow her eyes. "Is that a threat?" she asked, her tone betraying all of her anger.

A light laugh. "No, don't get so angry. I told you it's a warning... whatever, if you see her let us know... or don't. I don't really care."

A click and the line went silent. Sunset slammed her phone shut and stared at it angrily. She sighed before resigning herself to leave the issue until morning, maybe she and Sonata would have a talk about the siren's living arrangements later, but for now she needed sleep.

As Sunset stepped into her bedroom she was shocked to find Sonata laying in the floor with her pants removed and wrapped around her torso.

Sunset looked up from the floor. "Sorry," she said sheepishly. "Aria usually helps me with this part."

Sunset sighed and helped the girl unravel herself from her jeans. "How did you do this?" she asked.

"I dunno, one minute I was taking off my pants and the next I was on the ground." The siren said.

After the girl was successfully removed from her pants and jacket she laid down on the bed. "Thank you, Sunset." Sonata said.

"No problem." Sunset replied as she pulled herself under the blankets. There was very little room on the bed so the two girls were pressed close together, but Sunset did not mind. She sometimes caught herself wishing for some closeness from her friends, but she didn't want to seem weird for asking.

As the minutes flew by she could hear the other girl's breathing become more deep and even and her own eyelids becoming heavier. Then Sonata started snoring, not loudly, but a cute quiet snore.

A few minutes later she felt an arm and leg drape over her, warm flesh pressed against her own, and Adagio's words rang in her ears. It's a warning. If this was what she had meant, Sunset could handle a bit of cuddling. She chuckled to herself at the thought as she snuggled closer to the warm body next to her and allowed sleep to finally take her.

"Yeah, I think she's at Sunset Shimmer's place." Adagio said as she picked up the PlayStation controller she had left on the couch.

Aria picked up her own controller as Adagio clicked resume. Their character's began flying around the tournament ring on the screen. "Like I care." Aria said as she pressed three buttons simultaneously, her character arching her back and her hair turning a bright gold.

Adagio smirked as her own character stretched his arms out slapping Aria's own character. "Yes, but I know for a fact that Sunset only has one bed. I'm betting she's nice enough to let the idiot share with her."

Aria's scowl turned to a smirk as well. "She has no idea what's she's in for." she said, her character rapidly punching Adagio's.

"SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!" The TV yelled as Aria's character finished the combo with a blast.

Adagio's character ran from the path of the blast and activated her own ultimate. "FINAL FLASH!" her own character yelled slamming his two green hands together and blasting Aria's. The word victory flashing across the screen.

"Ugh!" Aria groaned loudly as she threw the controller across the room. "This game's only been out, like, two weeks. When did you have time to get this good?"

"Because, I play it with someone even better than me." Adagio said sauntering to the mini-fridge in search of more RedBull.

"Who?" Aria asked.

Adagio smirked. "Why do you think I was gonna make Sonata sleep outside?"

Author's Note

This was born of a fifty hour week at work, mixed with way too much Dragon Ball Xenoverse, and reading clopfics.

Next chapter is going to be all clop and that's probably going to be the end of it, but I had to get this out of my head before it exploded.

I regret nothing. :pinkiecrazy:
