Chapter 1-First Kiss Stories
Sunny walked into the library, carefully closing the door. She turned around to see all of the Elements of Harmony sitting around on sleeping bags. Her eyes focused on Twilight, who was standing and going through a book with a pillow on the cover.
"Alright, girls. Now, if everypony gets along, this will go along smoothly." She lowered her book and glared at Rarity and Applejack. "Understood, Rarity and Applejack?"
"Yeah, whatever." Applejack said, leaning back onto her pillow and chewing on a toothpick for some reason. Twilight switched her attention to Rarity, who was filing her hoof at the moment.
"Hm? Oh, yes, of course. I promise we won't ruin your second slumber party, Twilight." Twilight smiled gratefully and looked up to see Sunny with an awkward smile.
"Hey, Sunny!" She paused for a second before continuing. "Did I invite you?" Sunny's ears drooped before she sat next to Rainbow Dash.
"No. No, this clown did." She said, smacking Rainbow's back, causing her to choke on her Sun Soda. Dash pounded her chest in an attempt to clear her lungs, and finally stopped coughing when she looked up to see Twilight glaring at her.
"Uh...I told you, right?" Sunny planted a hoof against her face. Twilight snorted and cleared her throat before turning around and lifting the book back into her face.
"It doesn't matter. We're all friends here." She said, skimming through the pages. "First on the list is makeovers!" Rainbow faked a disgusted face, and Sunny actually gagged. Applejack rolled her eyes, and the rest of the mares squealed in excitement.
"I've got nachos!" Spike walked in carrying a few plates of nachos, a big smile on his face.
"Awesome! Give me one of those!" Rainbow blasted past him, snatching a plate in the process. She floated on her back, shoving a few chips into her mouth. Sunny rolled her eyes and leaned back against Rainbow's sleeping bag. That's when she realized she didn't bring one.
"Crap!" She shouted  grabbing the attention of the other ponies. She looked up, growing embarrassed from the sudden attention. "Uh...I forgot my sleeping bag." She said awkwardly.
"No problem, dude." Rainbow said casually, shoving another nacho into her mouth. "You can use mine!" Sunny planted a hoof to her face, just embarrassed to know Dash.
"Dash, what are you going to use?" She asked with a roll of her eyes.
"You could sleep on the couch, Sunny." Twilight said with a smile. Sunny smiled gratefully and sat up.
"Thank you, Twilight. Now that I've interrupted the festivities, let's get on with it, shall we?" She said, stretching her wings as she prepared to be make-upped to Rarity's content.
"Makeovers!" Rarity called out in a sing song voice, holding up a make-up bag. Sunny had to assume she prepared for this moment. At least Rarity was a professional.
/////
Sunny gritted her teeth as Rarity applied mascara to her. This was so incredibly uncomfortable, she could not describe it. It was the worst thing she had ever experienced, and yet it wasn't over.
"Yuck! Rarity, stop! I don't even like make-up!" Sunny pushed her away, trying to rub the synthetics off. Rarity gasped and grabbed her hooves to keep her from removing it.
"No! Sunny, you'll ruin my magnificent work!" She cried, grunting as Sunny started to overpower her.
"I don't care! I want it off!" She shouted right back, yanking her hooves up and pushing Rarity back. She took into the air and growled, rubbing the make-up off of her beautiful, natural face.
"Well, that escalated quickly." Twilight said, a mud mask covering her face. Applejack laughed at Sunny's behavior, her own face covered with Rarity's most treasured beautifier.
"I think the makeovers are a bust, Twilight." Rarity said through gritted teeth as she watched Sunny hover in the air, just out of her reach. She grinned wickedly and activated her magic, pulling on Sunny's ear.
"Ow! Hey! Let me go!" Rarity dragged her back to the ground and let her go with a huff. Twilight eyes her carefully before turning back to the book.
"Next is ghost stories!" Pinkie squealed happily, making Fluttershy duck into her sleeping bag in fear.
"Ooh! Ooh! I wanna go! I wanna go! Pick me!" She squirmed in excitement, holding her hoof high into the air. Twilight rolled her eyes with a smile.
"Pinkie's turn."
"Yes!" She pulled her hoof down in a Cha-Ching motion. She popped up, eyeing the ponies carefully. Twilight smiled and dimmed the lights with her magic. "This is a story that was actually experienced."
"Oh brother..." Sunny mumbled with a roll of her eyes.
"I was having a fantastic day. I was called into the kitchen by the timer, and when I opened the oven...ALL THE CUPCAKES WERE BURNT! Oooooo!" She moved her hooves in a 'ghostly' way. All the mares stared at her in confusion.
"Um...I can see how that would be scary..." Fluttershy whispered, though she didn't actually mean it. Sure, it was an inconvenience, but it wasn't scary.
"Oh, come on, you guys!" Pinkie whined. "That was the scariest thing I've ever heard!" Sunny finally cracked, and burst out laughing. She struggled to breathe as she totally lost it.
"Oh, gosh...Pinkie! Pinkie, that was....that was priceless!" She wheezed, holding her chest as she finally started to calm down.
"Well... It was kind of funny." Pinkie said with a bright smile. "I mean, I never burn my cupcakes!" Sunny finally slowed down to a light giggle and rested an arm on Rainbow's shoulder.
"Oh...that was great. Now it's my turn." She cleared her throat before anypony could object. Not that they were going to. "There once was an old mare who lived in a small town. She was very poor, and very lonely, so when she died, nopony seemed to care."
"Aww, that's so sad..." Fluttershy said from her sleeping bag. Sunny cleared her throat before continuing.
"At first she was happy to die. She wanted to see her late husband. Suddenly, she remembered just how important she was to certain things. Without her, her plants would die. Without her, her cats would starve. So she was hesitant." The mares listened intently as Sunny continued.
"She lay on her death bed, wishing it would all be over, when a stallion knocks on her door. It was a notice, saying that her house was planned to be destroyed for a new market. She grew angry, but the anger only quickened her death. She swore vengeance on all insensitive ponies who would dare to do such a thing. And now, every time you do something insensitive, you'll have a week of terrible luck."
"Whoa..." Rainbow said, leaning back on her front legs. "You just make that up?" Sunny nodded with a proud smile.
"Yeah, I kind of made it up as I went along." She cleared her throat before looking up at the other ponies. "Hey, you know what? We should totally kick this sleepover up a notch!" She said, nudging Rainbow.
"Yeah, we should talk about personal stuff like teenagers always do!" She said, sitting up. "You know, not this kiddy stuff that little fillies do at their slumber parties." She said with a roll of her eyes.
"What's wrong with the stuff we're doing now?" Twilight asked, watching as Rainbow Dash walked into the kitchen.
"Hey, Twilight, got any bottles?" She shouted from the other room. Sunny locked up suddenly before chasing after her. There was a loud crash and Rainbow shouting in pain.
"Ow! Hey! Don't hit me!" There was a silence before Rainbow walked out of the room, rubbing her head. "Uh...Nevermind." She said, awkwardly sitting down in her spot. Sunny followed, sitting back in her spot as well.
"How about something less...extreme?" She asked, turning to Rainbow with a sharp glare in her eyes. Rainbow nodded feverishly, looking away in fright.
"Ooh!" Rarity squealed suddenly, popping up out of her spot. "Let's talk about our first kisses!" She said, happily clapping her hooves together in excitement.
"Pfft. How about our first times?" Rainbow said with a smirk. Sunny growled at her, and she yelped before nodding her head. "Yeah, yeah! That sounds good!"
"I guess we could..." Twilight said, rubbing her chin. Fluttershy shrank into her bag again.
"Um...I'd...rather not..." She whimpered. Rarity laid a comforting hoof on what would be her side if she wasn't covered by sleeping bag.
"Worry not, Fluttershy. We won't force you to say something you don't want to share." She said with a comforting smile. Fluttershy nodded gratefully before looking up at Applejack, who was currently trying to sneak away.
"AJ, where ya going?" Sunny asked, watching as Applejack froze. She gave a nervous chuckle before sitting down.
"What ya talking about? Ah ain't going nowhere!" She said, nervously fidgeting. Sunny raised an eyebrow before smirking.
"Alright then, you can go first." Applejack lowered her head in shame.
"Ain't nothing to tell. Ah ain't really had time for that sort of thing." She said, looking off to the side self consciously. Rarity let out a dramatic gasp.
"What!? But Applejack, you're already twenty three!" She shouted in shock. Applejack let out a frustrated sigh.
"Yeah, yeah, ah know. Ya don't have to rub it in my face Rares." She said with a pout. Sunny cleared her throat before speaking up.
"Sorry for putting you on the spot, AJ." She said, looking off to the side as well. How could a mare as amazing as AJ not have kissed somepony yet? She thought to herself as she turned to Twilight. "How about you, Twi?"
"Who me?" She let out a nervous chuckle before clearing her throat.
"Don't tell me you've never kissed anypony either!" Rainbow shouted, placing her hooves on her hips.
"I-I don't socialize much, okay?" She explained, shiftily looking around. Rainbow sighed and rolled her eyes.
"Not like that's much of a surprise..." She muttered. Sunny scoffed and smacked her upside the head. "Ow! What the hay was that for!?"
"You dissed your best friend, that's what." Twilight giggled at their shenanigans, and Sunny turned to Rarity. "How about you, la belle Rarity?" Rarity blushed at the words. Sunny grinned. The beautiful Rarity in French. She had a feeling Rarity would fall for it.
"W-well, I do have a story." She said with an embarrassed smile. "There was a stallion at a fair, and we got to know each other. It ended in a horrific breakup, but I got my first kiss out of it, so..."
"Come on, Rarity. Spill the details..." Pinkie hissed, sliding across the floor in front of Rarity. The white mare looked like she had just seen a cat grow two heads, but she cleared her throat and continued.
"Yes, well, we were in my bedroom. It was valentines day and he had brought me flowers. When he got ready to leave, he spun around and gave me a surprise kiss." She was blushing at the memory, and a longing smile grew on her face. "Ah, memories."
"Yuck." Rainbow said, crossing her arms. Rarity glared at her with an unamused expression. Sunny nudged Dash with a smirk.
"If you think it's so gross, why don't you spill your first kiss?" She asked, causing Rainbow to blush. 'Twas a rare occurrence when Dash got flustered, but she sure was now.
"I don't have to spill anything if I don't want to." She said, turning away and sticking her nose in the air. Rarity grew a smirk.
"Careful, Dash. You're starting to look like a Canterlot snob." She said with a giggle. Rainbow stuck out her tongue, just noticing the evil look on Sunny's face.
"I bet you don't wanna tell cause you don't have anything to tell." She said with an evil chuckle. Rainbow groaned and pushed her away.
"Fine! I'll tell! Geez, you guys are acting like it's government secrets." She said with a roll of her eyes. "It was with a mare okay? Don't judge." Rarity suddenly burst out laughing, quickly catching herself and covering her mouth with a hoof.
"Sorry, I don't mean to mock. I just...I always had the inkling." She said with a giggle. Sunny noticed that Fluttershy was now huddled all the way in her sleeping bag and was shaking in fear. She turned to Rainbow with a hopeful look.
"So, who was it?" Pinkie asked before Sunny could. She gasped suddenly before narrowing her eyes at Dash. "Was it Gilda?"
"What!? No!" Rainbow shook her head in disgust. "Yuck! Pinkie, she's a Griffon!" Rainbow said, pushing Pinkie away from her. "It was a pony, and she was a Pegasus. That's all I'm gonna say."
"Was she in your flight school?" Sunny asked with an excited smile. Rainbow raised an eyebrow before shrugging.
"Maybe. Maybe not. I'm not gonna say."
"She totally was!" Sunny squealed in excitement, bouncing around. Rainbow looked shocked.
"Can you read minds or something? Sheesh." She looked away and crossed her arms. Her gaze switched to Fluttershy still huddled in her sleeping bag, and her eyes filled with concern. "Hey, Flutters, you okay?"
"No." Came the frightened reply. Rainbow waved a dismissive hoof.
"Geez, who got your feathers in a ruffle? Relax, Nothing's getting out of this mouth." She said with a proud nod. That's when Fluttershy started crying.
"It was Fluttershy!?" Sunny shouted in surprise. Rainbow shot out of her spot and pointed an accusatory hoof at Sunny.
"Arrest her! She can read minds!" She shouted, shielding her head with her to her hoof. Twilight rolled her eyes with an unamused expression.
"Come on, girls, let's all just take a deep breath and-" Before she could finish, Pinkie broke out into song.
"Dashie and Flutters under a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" She said, jumping into the air and waving her arms around frantically.
"This is why I didn't want to talk about it!" Fluttershy shouted, breaking into tears.
"Are you calm now?" Twilight asked as she watched Fluttershy take another sip of her tea. The timid mare nodded with a small smile, taking yet another sip of tea. "Good. Now we can continue with our night."
"Wait a minute!" Sunny shouted, holding a hoof in the air. "I wanna know how Dash and Flutters kissing happened!" Fluttershy blushed and scooted back into her sleeping bag.
"That's none of your business." Rainbow Dash said, crossing her arms. Sunny smiled deviously and grabbed her shoulders.
"Were you two all lovey dovey? Was it an accident? Or maybe you were experimenting..." Rainbow shuddered and pushed Sunny off of her.
"Geez! Cut it out! That's none of your business!"
"Aw, come on, Dashie...tell us..." Pinkie whined, pouting her lip to pull off flawless puppy dog eyes. Rainbow eyed her carefully before turning away.
"No."
"Come on, girls. You can't make her say anything." Twilight said, just wanting this whole thing to be over already.
"Oh yes I can!" Sunny pounced onto Rainbow and started mercilessly tickling her. The poor cyan pony doubled over in laughter, trying to push Sunny away. "Tell me and I'll stop!"
"N-Never!"
"Girls." Fluttershy stood up from her sleeping bag with a stern expression, but she was too quiet for either of them to hear.
"Sunny, stop!" Rainbow cried out, growing frustrated with Sunny's behavior.
"Not until you spill!" Sunny said, her devious smile turning into a maniacal grin. Fluttershy gritted her teeth.
"Girls." She said, a little louder than last time, but still too quiet. Rainbow tried to escape Sunny's hooves, but failed.
"Sunny, I'm serious, stop!" She said, trying to force her laughter to subside. Sunny continued still, sticking her tongue out in determination.
"Girls!" They froze, turning their heads towards Fluttershy. She had an angry glimmer in her eyes, and Sunny quickly backed off.
"I'm sorry, Dash." She said, turning to Rainbow. "I was just messing around."
"Apology accepted, but I was never going to spill." Rainbow replied, sitting up and crossing her arms defiantly. Fluttershy took a deep breath before speaking.
"It was a spur of the moment thing." She muttered, cheeks red hot. Sunny looked at her in amazement.
"What?"
"I said it was a spur of the moment thing, now can we please just continue and forget this ever happened?" Fluttershy repeated, her words more rushed than before. Rainbow's jaw hung slack before she shook her head and nodded.
"Yes, thank you!" Twilight said, holding a hoof to the heavens. She groaned and turned back to her book, eyeing the next item on the list. Her ears drooped when she realized that she didn't have any marshmallows. "Next is...Truth or Dare." She said with a sigh of dread. Sunny squealed in excitement.
"Eee! Awesome! This is gonna be so fun!" She lifted and lowered her hoof in a Cha Ching motion before jumping into the air and flapping her wings to stay afloat.
"Cool. Now I get to see..." Rainbow cut herself off suddenly before she spilled too much. "I can go first, right?" She asked, pointing her attention to Twilight.
"I suppose..." She said reluctantly.
"Awesome!" Rainbow turned to Sunny with a smirk. "Hey, Sunny. Truth or Dare? Please pick dare because I have the awesomest dare ever."
"Truth." Sunny answered, just to be contrary. Dash snickered before clearing her throat.
"Okay, cool." Her calm and collected smile soon turned into a malicious grin. "Which one of us is prettiest?" Sunny nearly choked on air.
"Rainbow!" Twilight shouted, pouting her lip. "Of all the things you could ask...you choose that!?" Rainbow shrugged with a smirk.
"Hey, I wanna know."
"That does not mean you use a group event, such as this, to get that answer." Rarity said, giving Rainbow an 'I am going to break your legs' look. Dash groaned and rolled her eyes.
"Oh, come on! It's not like she doesn't have an answer! Didn't you guys know she's into mares?" They all looked to Sunny in surprise. She blushed from all of the attention.
"Um...I'd rather not say anything right now..." She said, hiding herself behind Rainbow.
"You don't have to." Rarity said with a comforting smile. Sunny returned the smile gratefully.
"Thanks Rarity." She managed to say, though it was quiet and somewhat forced. Rarity nodded before looking back at Rainbow Dash.
"She doesn't have to answer, Dash. Choose something else." Rainbow groaned and reluctantly changed to a dare, without Sunny's request.
"Fine. I dare you..." She looked around before grinning. "To kiss Rarity." Rarity's face went red before she gave Rainbow a hard glare. Sunny, however, did not look at all thrilled by the idea.
"Rarity? Seriously?" Sunny asked, grabbing Rainbow's shoulder. "You couldn't choose, oh, I don't know, Twilight? Pinkie Pie? Rarity? It had to be Rarity?"
"Come on, if you don't want to kiss her, you can just forfeit." Dash said with a smug grin. Rarity scoffed before standing up.
"She will not be kissing anypony! That dare is ridiculous, and I will not stand for it!"
"Girls, maybe we should just move on to the-" Twilight was cut off by the door creaking quite loudly. They all turned to see Applejack, frozen in fear, standing next to the open door.
"Uh..." She didn't have a chance to speak before Sunny shot up and stormed over to the couch. She dropped herself onto it and laid down, grabbing a blanket hanging on the back.
"I'm going to sleep, feel free to continue without me." The mares were silent, watching her as she just lay there, eyes closed in a futile attempt to fall asleep.
"Sunny?" Twilight stepped forward, eyes filled with concern. "You don't have to go to sleep now, we still have stuff to do. I mean, we can skip Truth or Dare." Sunny didn't respond.
"I'm sorry I put you on the spot with that stupid question." Rainbow said, shuffling her hooves nervously. "And that stupid dare." Sunny opened her eyes, but only to glare at Dash.
"We still have lots to do." Applejack spoke up, stepping forward. "Like sharing stories, and playing games. No point in going to sleep now." Sunny looked towards AJ before sitting up.
"Fine." She said, getting up and sitting next to Rarity. "But we should skip Rainbow's turn for Truth or Dare. No point in skipping the whole thing just because of Rainbow." Dash looked off to the side, looking slightly ashamed.
"Glad to hear it." Applejack said, slapping her on the back and sitting on her other side. Sunny's voice caught in her throat, and she scooted a little closer to Rarity.
"It's my turn, right Twilight?" Pinkie asked with a big grin, bouncing slightly in her seat. Twilight rolled her eyes with a smile and nodded. "Yes! Dashie! Truth or Dare?"
"Dare, of course."
////
"Bring out the alcohol!" Sunny shouted, suddenly jumping from Applejack's side. They all watched her as she trotted over to the basement door. She paused before turning to Twilight. "You have cider in the basement, right?"
"Um...yes?" She replied, watching as Sunny happily opened the basement door.
"Awesome! Cider's just the thing that'll calm my nerves." She trotted down the stairs and about a minute later came back with a box of cider on her back. Applejack eyed her carefully as she set the box down.
"Don't you have work tomorrow?" She asked, a scolding tone creeping into her voice. Sunny rolled her eyes with a casual smile.
"Come on, AJ! You can let me off tonight, can't you? It's not like I'm bucking the trees anyway..." She muttered. Applejack pondered it for a moment before smiling.
"Alright. Heck, I'll give ya the morning off!" She shouted with a grin as she grabbed one of the mugs. She held it under the spout and filled it with cider.
"Um...Applejack? That's hard cider." Twilight said, holding up a hoof. Sunny smiled as Applejack chugged it anyway. She pulled the mug away from her mouth and licked her lips.
"That ain't mine." She said, turning to Twilight with a raised eyebrow. "Twilight? Yer drinking cider that ain't apple family cider? How dare you." She said with a laugh. She refilled her mug before sitting back down.
Another mug was removed from the box by an aura of blue magic. Everypony turned to Rarity, who was licking her lips in anticipation. Her magic pulled on the spout and filled her mug before carrying it to her lips. When she pulled it away she noticed everypony staring.
"What? If it's not Apple family cider, and Applejack likes it, then it must be good." She looked down at the cider with a smile. "And it is." She said, taking another drink. Sunny watched as everypony started getting mugs. Soon everypony was drinking cider.
"You're welcome for suggesting it." She said, getting her own mug. Rainbow was already down to her second mug, much to Sunny's surprise. She had to admit she was impressed.
"Let's play a drinking game!" Pinkie shouted out of nowhere, jumping into the air, and, impossibly, not spilling her cider. Sunny smiled as she thought something to herself.
"Ya got something, Sunny?" AJ asked, looking over to her. Sunny jumped, blushing at Applejack's sudden appearance.
"What? No! I wasn't thinking anything!" She said, nervously twitching her ear. Applejack raised an eyebrow, but continued. Sunny sighed in relief.
"We should take a swig every time Rainbow makes an ass out of herself." Applejack said with a laugh, smacking Dash's back good-naturedly. She coughed and sputtered, having choked on her cider.
"Geez, AJ, no need to be so harsh." She said, pulling her shoulder away from her friend's hoof. Applejack laughed again before adding onto her original joke.
"Come on, Dash, we'd be hammered within an hour!" Sunny snickered under her breath, and Rainbow Dash noticed.
"Glad to see somepony thinks it's funny." She said with a huff, pushing AJ away from her. Applejack stumbled away and sat back down next to Sunny.
"Aw, come on, Dash, it...was...a...joke." She said, speaking every word with great care. Sunny looked up at Applejack and smiled, briefly wondering what was going on in the other pony's head.
"Alright, alright, how about this," Rarity spoke up, coming up with another idea. "How about we play Truth or Dare, but every time you refuse, you have to take a drink?"
"We already did Truth or Dare." Sunny stated, remembering Pinkie chugging an entire bottle of pop upside down. She still couldn't figure out how that was possible.
"Ah, yes, but how about a more extreme version?" Rarity proposed. "We ask personal questions and if the mare refuses, she takes a...swig." She explained, clearly finding her last word improper.
"I guess we could..." She said, staring at her hooves. She glanced up and noticed that Fluttershy was asleep. She looked up at the clock and realized just how late it was. "Actually, maybe we should go to sleep. It's getting late, and I don't know about you girls, but I know that me and AJ have to get up early."
"Relax, Sunny!" Applejack said, leaning back against the couch with a casual grin. "Ah'd like to ask mah friends some personal questions! We can go to sleep after."
"Yeah, this oughta be fun!" Rainbow Dash said with an excited smile. Twilight sat down next to the sleeping Fluttershy and turned to Applejack.
"Applejack, since you seem so eager, why don't you go first?" She asked with a smile. AJ shrugged and nudged Sunny.
"Hey, Sunny, Ah know ya didn't wanna answer and all..." Sunny felt her heart fill with dread as she slumped and awaited AJ's question. "...but ah kind of wanna know mahself. Which one of us is the most attractive?"
"Well, it's a good thing Fluttershy isn't awake to hear this..." Sunny said with a kidding smile. Everypony looked surprised.
"Fluttershy?" AJ managed to say before Sunny started laughing. She waved a hoof to show that she was joking.
"I kid, I kid." She suddenly remembered her answer and looked away. She carefully scooted away from Applejack as she got ready to answer. "Um..." Her eyes swept over her mug of cider, and she quickly snatched it up and chugged the rest. "I forfeit." She said, slamming the mug down on the floor.
"Aw...Ah was hoping you'd answer." Applejack mused with a slightly disappointed frown. Sunny noticed this and felt herself start to reconsider.
"Um...well..." She cleared her throat before quickly bursting it out. "It's you." It may have been quickened by Sunny's nervousness, but Applejack seemed to understand.
"What?"
