Prologue:
Ace in the Hole
“The year is 1277, 200 years after the final day and the world has begun to settle into its new way of life and in the city of Las Pegasus, renamed new Pegasus life was as it was before the mega-spells hit, sex, gambling, drugs, alcohol and more sex and don’t forget the pinch of homicide”
Sat in the trick shot casino a unicorn stallion sat with a hand of cards held by magic along with two Pegasus stallions, he had a dark blue coat with a short sliver mane and no tail and was wearing dull brown Stetson. Both Pegasus were stressed out while the unicorn was relaxed with a charismatic smirk on his face.
“Well boys do you fold?” the stallions were playing poker and in the pot was a mound of bottle caps and sitting on top was a black revolver with a dark black handle.
“I fold” one of the Pegasus stated throwing his hand down while the other was a little braver.
“all in” the last Pegasus pushed another pile of caps into the mound and revealed his hand which was three kings and two 4’s the Pegasus smiled as he went for the pot but the unicorn played his own hand and the face of the Pegasus was drained of all colour as the Unicorns hand consisted of four ace’s and a jack.
“Sorry mate, there’s a reason my Mom named me Ace” the dealer acknowledged the unicorns victory and the caps were placed in a suitcase while the unicorn placed the revolver in the empty holster slung around him and he picked up his case “I’m just that Lucky” both Pegasus’s stared at the unicorn as he left. Deciding to grab a drink with his new winnings the unicorn sat down at the bar an called the bartender over and ordered a bottle of whisky.
****“Hi you all are probably wondering who I am right about now so before I get drunk. I’m Ace and I’m a gun for hire, I was born in a small town just outside of New Pegasus, my life was pretty boring till I picked up two things a deck and a gun, immediately after playing my first game of poker I earned my cutie mark of three spades which represented my first winning hand of a royal flush of spades and my skill with a gun earned me the nickname Caliber, My special talent was my biggest trump card…Luck probably the rarest talent ever, just pure luck which allowed me to win nearly every gamble and those games I lost, I didn't lose much. So you want to get to the story so why not”****
As Ace enjoyed his bottle of liqueur he was unaware of the beauty that had sat next to him till he smelt the scent of rose’s, a very rare aroma as flowers were very difficult to grow.
“Hello there” the mare greeted attracting Ace’s attention.
“Why hello there, how may I be of assistance?” Ace asked the mare in a seductive manor, she was elegant and beautiful in her right let alone form the choice of mare out in the wastes, she had a blood red coat, with black and red mane and tail, her cutie mark was of a black rose with three rose petals falling but what Ace noticed most was her Silver coloured eyes “by Celestia they are beautiful” thought Ace as he looked over the mare.
“I seem to have left my purse at home so I was wondering if you could by me a bottle of water?” she asked politely earning a smirk from the gambler.
“Honey for you I’ll buy the bar” the blood coloured mare blushed making her cheeks go a lighter shade of red in embarrassment.
A Couple Hours later
The large presidential suite lay quite waiting for its occupant to return and as expected the doors burst open with both the mare and Ace getting intimate very quickly, they both made it to the master bedroom and Ace removed his holster and placed it on a chair, he then turned to his bed with the beautiful mare laying sexually on the bed.
“Well you gonna come Cowboy?” the mare said smoothly followed by a giggle making Ace smile.
“oh baby, all over you” taking his cue Ace and the mysterious mare spent that night and with exactly what it says on the tin Ace’s talent for luck never failed him.
The Next morning
Ace’s eyes slowly opened to reveal the lights coming in through the window and expecting to find the beauty by his side Ace frowned when he realised she wasn't in the room, he would have called her out but he didn't even know her name. before walking out of his room Ace noticed that his holster was empty and after a few seconds of his brain rebooting he realised he had just been scammed “that bitch” he ran out into the man living area only to find a note on the private bar counter which read.
“I’m sorry Sweetie but I have a lot of debts to pay and your latest winning and lovely weapon will pay for that nicely. I would have loved to stay with you a bit longer you stud but I need to get going but just so it wasn't in vain I’m sure your dying to know my name.

“Fuck!” Ace yelled, After reading the note Ace folded it and placed it in his coat which was left on the hanger the previous night, after doing so Ace put the coat on and took out a large rifle from behind his counter and strapped it to his back, he was about to walk out of the room but brought his hat out of his room and onto his head via magic “looks like I’m going gardening this week”
“Well as you can plainly see this was my first taste of bad luck and the start of probably my weirdest adventure to date. Well what else is there to do but continue the story?”
