Flash Sentry Acquires a Ring

Six months ago, Princess Twilight Sparkle and private Flash Sentry had been dating for over a year. While he never dreamed the relationship would last that long, he knew she loved him. Nopony had ever loved him like that before. He had tried to get to know other mares but they all had rejected him because of his delicate facial features but not Twilight, she loved him for who he was. With this being the case he knew that the time had come, the time to propose to the one he loved had arrived.

He headed to the jewelry store to get her a ring. Being a private he didn't exactly earn a ton of money, but he couldn't propose to the princess without a ring. When he walked into the jewelry store the clerk greeted him, "Hello, how may I help you today?"

Flash Sentry replied, "I need to buy a good ring. I plan on proposing to my marefriend later today."

The clerk gave him an odd look wondering how a pretty colt like him even managed to get a marefriend, much less keep one long enough to propose. He snickered, "Well, I have plenty of rings for you to choose from." He led Flash over to the cheapest rings, ones made out of aluminum with cubic zirconias instead of diamonds. He continued, "Well sir, I'm thinking one of these would be to your marefriend's liking."

Flash was insulted by the clerk's actions. He snapped, "Look, I'm proposing to my marefriend today. I'm not here to buy some cheap ass costume jewelry." He got up in the clerk's face and continued, "Listen, I am proposing to Princess Twilight Sparkle. Nothing but the absolute best will do."

This only caused the clerk to snicker further, "Yeah, uh huh, sure you are. Let me guess, you've named your dick Twilight Sparkle and you are going to propose to it!" He broke down into a full blown laugh, "I'm sorry sir, but I don't carry cock rings!"

Flash Sentry realized that losing his temper would not help any here. He calmly replied, "Well if you don't want my business, I can easily go elsewhere."

The clerk apologized to Flash and led him over to the fanciest and most expensive rings in the store. Flash was amazed by the huge assortment of rings but was shocked by the prices. He finally found one that he thought would be perfect for Twilight. It was the most expensive ring in the store. The clerk laughed, "Sir, are you sure you can afford this ring?"

The clerk laughing over what he could afford really pissed the guardspony off. He knew he couldn't afford to get her a decent ring, or any ring for that matter, so other methods would have to be used. He pulled out the knife and held it to the clerk's throat. He growled, "Give me the most expensive ring you have or DIE!"

The clerk had no desire to die that day so he pulled the ring out from the case and handed it to the guardspony. Flash continued to hold the knife up to his throat and continued, "Don't say a word to anypony or your miserable, pathetic life will come to a tragic, early end."

The clerk nodded and simply said, "You have a good day. I hope she'll say yes."

Flash nodded with a smile and left the store with a huge smile on his face. Yes he knew the way he acquired the ring was illegal, but he knew that he could not wow Twilight without a fancy ring. He had duty that afternoon so he figured that a proposal over dinner would be very romantic. There was only one problem, he could not afford to take her out so he would have to hope they could have dinner at her castle.

The Proposal

Flash got off of duty at 1800 and was ready to go and see if Twilight would want to have dinner with him. He was very nervous, as any stallion would be in this situation, but headed over to her castle. There he was greeted by one of the guards, one who didn't care for him much. He said, "What are you doing here private? State your business."

Flash replied, "Well I am here to see Twilight, I have a very important question to ask her."

The guard knew that they had been seeing each other for over a year. He sighed, "Ok, I will lead you to her throne room."

While Flash knew the way to the throne room so well he could go there in his sleep, he knew the protocol. He had to stay behind the higher ranking guardspony. When they got to the throne room the guard said, "Your Majesty, you have company."

Twilight saw Flash and ran into his wings. She asked, "Flash sweetie, how are you doing?"

Flash replied, "I'm doing great seeing you." He kissed her and continued, "Twilight, I am wondering if we could have supper together tonight?"

Twilight thought that Flash was going to take her out to dinner. She replied, "Of course! Where are we going?"

Flash replied, "Well I'm running short on funds. I was wondering if we could eat together here tonight."

While Twilight loved Flash with all her heart, one thing that annoyed her was that he often didn't manage his money as well as he should. She sighed, "Well yeah, we can. I'll just have to send Spike over to Rarity's for supper. Wait down here."

Twilight headed upstairs to Spike's room. Spike was on his bed admiring a picture of Rarity and eating a bowl of fire rubies. Twilight saw this and was not pleased. She asked, "Spike, what have I told you about snacking this soon before supper?"

Spike replied, "Well uh....."

Twilight continued, "Well never mind. Flash and I are going to have supper together here tonight and I want it to be just me and him. Could you go over to Rarity's for supper."

Normally Spike would be ecstatic about the opportunity to go see Rarity but he didn't like Flash Sentry one bit, he utterly hated him. He sighed, "Yeah, I can do that."

Twilight asked, "Spike, I thought you would be ecstatic to go see Rarity. What is wrong?"

Spike replied, "Twilight, I just don't trust Flash. I just feel like he is taking advantage of you."

Twilight could understand his concerns but figured it was more of a concern like a son would have for his mother. She did not know how he truly felt about her coltfriend. He hopped off of his bed and continued, "Ok Twilight, I'll go. You be careful though, I don't want you getting hurt."

Twilight smiled and led him down stairs where he left the castle. Twilight and Flash sat down at the kitchen table where the chef took their order. After placing their orders they began to discuss how life was for Flash in the royal guard. Twilight asked, "Flash, how are things in the guard going? Anything interesting?"

Flash replied, "Well things aren't going all that well. It seems like I just can't do anything right. My commander is always yelling at me and telling me how worthless I am."

Twilight raised her voice and asked, "He's doing what?"

Flash replied, "You heard me, he is always yelling at me and telling me how worthless I am."

Twilight said, "Well I'm going to have a talk with him. I will make sure he is nice to you. I am a princess and I could get him court-martialed if I wanted to."

Before Flash could say anything their meal arrived. While he would normally devour his meal like most guardsponies do, Flash was eating his meal rather slowly. Twilight saw this and asked, "Flash honey, is everything ok?"

Flash was nervous as hell but he knew the time had come. He replied, "Twilight, can I ask you a question?"

Twilight replied, "Sure."

Flash went over to her, got down on one knee and pulled out the ring he got for her. He asked, "Princess Twilight, would you marry me? Would you make me the happiest stallion in Equestria?"

Twilight levitated the ring on to her horn, pulled him up and embraced him. She started saying, "Yes, yes, yes! Yes I'll marry you Flash!" She gave him a passionate kiss and began to cry tears of joy, "I'm so happy Flash! I love you so much!"

He began to cry tears of joy as well, "I love you too sweetie!"

Twilight began jumping up and down, "I can't wait to tell my friends! I know they'll be so happy for me and I know your friends will be happy for you too!"

Flash looked down glumly and replied, "Well sweetie, I don't have any friends to tell. I don't have any friends at all."

This caused Twilight's tears of joy to transform into tears of sadness. She asked, "Really honey, you don't have any friends at all?" She hugged him and continued, "You don't have any friends in the guard?"

Flash replied, "No, I don't. They are all the same, they think I am lazy and many of them think that the only reason I haven't been kicked out is because I am seeing you."

Twilight asked, "What about your family? Would they be happy to hear about this?"

Flash replied, "My family disowned me a long time ago. My parents think my brother, who is stationed near Manehattan, is so much better. They claim that I am too tender hearted, they claim that I don't have a warrior mentality."

Twilight said, "Well he won't be marrying a princess either. One day they will regret disowning you sweetie."

Flash replied, "Thanks honey." He looked up at the clock and continued, "Well sweetie, I better get going. I have to be ready for duty at 0800 sharp. If I'm late I'll get reprimanded and I don't want that."

Twilight kissed him and said, "Well you get a good night's rest sweetie. I can't wait to see you tomorrow."

Flash nodded and took off towards Canterlot. For the first time in his entire life, he was truly happy. The thoughts of an unloving family and fellow military personnel that hate him escaped his mind. All he could think of was Twilight and how much she loved him. Twilight had never been happier before either. While she had had many wonderful things happen in her life, Flash asking her to marry him topped all of them. While she couldn't wait to tell her friends, little did she know that they would not be as excited as she thought they would.

Unexpected Reactions

The following morning Twilight woke up with a bit more energy than normal. She was so happy about finally being engaged to Flash Sentry and couldn't wait to tell her friends. She told the chefs to take the morning off and raced over to Sugarcube Corner where she was greeted by her friends.

Applejack was the first to see the ring on her horn. She asked, "Twilight, what the hay is that thing on your horn?"

Twilight replied, "It's an engagement ring! Flash Sentry proposed to me last night! Oh I'm so happy!"

Fluttershy, who has had a crush on her ever since they defeated Nightmare Moon looked a bit sad. She said, "Oh, that's nice Twilight."

Twilight replied, "Nice? Nice? It's more than nice! It's the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me!"

While all her friends had their concerns about what Flash's real intentions were, it was Fluttershy who seemed to be more than just concerned, she was also jealous, extremely jealous. She asked, "Twilight, are you sure you should be doing this? What if he only wants to marry you so he will become a prince?"

Rainbow added, "Fluttershy makes a good point Twi. I could see him doing that, especially given that he is only a private."

Twilight could tell that her friends had their concerns but felt that they were judging Flash because of his low rank. She replied, "Look, just because he is a private does not make him any less worthy of me than anypony else." She rolled her eyes and continued, "Yes my brother married Cadence and he wasn't royalty and now he is a prince but I know Flash, despite being a private, isn't doing this just so he will become royalty."

Rarity said, "Twilight, there is a big difference. Your brother was already captain of the Royal Guard. He probably could have asked to be a prince and Celestia would have made him one. Besides, I have heard that Flash doesn't exactly have the best work ethic and you can do better than him."

Pinkie added, "Rarity's right, you deserve the best Twilight!"

Twilight began to tear up. She asked, "Girls, do all of you feel this way? Do all of you think Flash might not be good for me?"

Fluttershy, her voice dripping with sarcasm, replied, "Well I suppose he might be good for you even though he is a lazy bum." She pointed her hoof towards her chest and continued, "But I do think you could do better, FAR BETTER."

Twilight's other friends knew of Fluttershy's crush on the princess and knew what she really meant when she pointed at herself yet Twilight was oblivious to it. She asked, "Oh and who do you think would be better for me Fluttershy? Any ideas?"

Fluttershy glared at Twilight and sneered, "What do I look like Twilight, little miss match maker. I just know Flash isn't good for you. He will only use you."

Twilight had a feeling that out of her friends, that it was only Fluttershy that harbored such negative feelings. She looked at Applejack and asked, "Applejack, I know you will be honest with me. What do you really think about Flash Sentry?"

Applejack replied, "Well Ah've never even met him so Ah don't know. If what Rarity says about his work ethic is true, Ah wouldn't advise you marry him, but this is your choice Twilight. Ah can't stop you."

Twilight replied, "Well at least one of you aren't entirely against this." She glared at the rest of her friends and asked, "Girls, could you simply give Flash a chance. If you'd bother to get to know him, you'd see what a great pony he is."

All of them except for Fluttershy said they would give him a chance. Fluttershy just grunted, kicked the wall and flew out the door. Twilight asked, "What the hay is wrong with Fluttershy? I have never seen her in this foul of a mood."

Rarity had an idea as to why Fluttershy was acting like that so she decided to lie. She replied, "Well she has been like this all morning so her reaction doesn't surprise me."

Rainbow said, "Well perhaps it is because she has a cr....." Applejack shoved her hoof into Rainbow's mouth to prevent her from revealing Fluttershy's hidden feelings."

Pinkie suggested, "How about we just relax and have some snacks."

Twilight replied, "That would be nice but I do want to talk to Princess Celestia. I know she'll be so happy for me."

Rainbow said, "Well alright Twi, we'll see you later."

Twilight took off towards Canterlot hoping that Celestia's reaction to her news would be more positive than that of her friends. When she arrived she ran straight towards the throne room where she was greeted by Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Twilight rushed in and hugged her. She said, "Hi Celestia, I have wonderful news to tell you."

Celestia saw the huge ring on her horn and was wondering why she would be wearing it. She asked, "Twilight, why are you wearing a ring on your horn?"

Twilight happily replied, "Flash proposed to me last night. We're going to get married!"

Both princesses gasped, "You're doing what?"

Twilight replied, "Why are you shocked? You know we've been seeing each other for a while. It was bound to happen sooner or later."

Neither one of the princesses liked him, although Luna's feelings could best be described as absolute hatred. Celestia and Luna both knew about his lousy work ethic but Luna had seen him doing things while she was patrolling the night that really concerned her. Luna asked, "Twilight, are thou sure thou should marry him?"

Celestia added, "Twilight, you do know how lazy he is don't you?"

Twilight replied, "He is not lazy. Where you and my friends get this idea from is beyond me but trust me, I know he is not lazy."

Luna asked, "Twilight, are thou there when he is on duty. Dost thou see him working hard for thyself?"

Twilight replied, "Well no, I've never seen him on duty but I know a guy as sweet as him could never be lazy!"

Luna scoffed, "And that isn't even the half of it. Dost thou wish to know of what we see Flash do at night when he thinks nopony is watching?"

Twilight shouted, "No! I know it is something you just made up because you probably hate him."

Celestia interrupted, "Look Twilight, Luna wouldn't make anything up about him. She is simply looking out for you as am I. I simply think there are so many better ponies out there for you."

Luna asked, "What about Flutter....."

Twilight interrupted, "Neither one of you support me marrying him? Don't you want me to be happy?"

Celestia replied, "Look Twilight, I am not saying I don't support this. I just don't want to have to officiate a divorce between two ponies that I marry."

Twilight teared up and asked, "You don't think it will last? You think it would end in divorce?"

In unison both princess replied "Yes. we do." Luna continued, "Twilight, we simply do not believe thou are compatible with him. He shows thee his best when thou are together. Once thou art married to him, his true self will come out and thou will find it most unpleasant."

Celestia added, "And given his laziness, he will never move up in the ranks of the guard."

Twilight asked, "But Celestia, if he marries me, won't he become a prince and not have to be a guardspony anymore?"

Celestia and Luna gave one another nervous looks. The very thoughts of Flash Sentry becoming a prince not only sickened them, but worried them because they could see him becoming power hungry and attempting to do things he was not authorized to do. Celestia grudgingly replied, "Yes Twilight, he will become a prince like your brother did and he won't have to be in the royal guard anymore."

Luna added, "And then thou may see how he will sit on his dead ass and do nothing."

Twilight was mad by this point that Luna nor Celestia even had a nice thing to say about her fiance, much less supported her decision. She broke down into tears and angrily cried, "Why doesn't anypony like him? Why can't anypony just be happy for me?"

Celestia replied, "Nopony likes him because they know the real Flash Sentry."

Luna added, "All thou sees is him putting on a show to impress thee. Once thou sees the real Flash, thou will discard him like yesterday's newspaper."

Twilight angrily stormed out of the throne room. Luna and Celestia looked at one another with great concern. Luna said, "We have got to do something. We can not have that scumbag becoming a prince."

Celestia added, "I know, he will make Blueblood look like a fine stallion." She stopped and then remembered how Luna was going to say something about who would be better for Twilight. She continued, "Sister, when I said she could do better and you began to say something before being interrupted, what were you going to say?"

Luna replied, "We were going to ask her about Fluttershy. We see how Fluttershy looks at her and we know how she loves her."

Celestia said, "I agree that Fluttershy would be great for her but I don't think Twilight is attracted to mares."

As Twilight flew out of the palace she felt like she had no one other than Flash who cared about her. She knew the princesses didn't like Flash, she knew that Fluttershy hated her marrying him and the rest of her friends weren't exactly supportive either. While she was in Canterlot she decided that she would go and see her parents. She figured that they would probably be more supportive of her. What she didn't know though was that her brother and sister-in-law were visiting her folks as well, so she would get plenty of input from her relatives but would it be what she hopes to hear?

The Family's Reaction

After receiving unpleasant reactions from her friends and horrible reactions from the princesses regarding her engagement to Flash Sentry, Twilight was running through Canterlot with tears running down her cheeks. She knew that she had to pull herself together before she went to her parents' house. She stopped at the cafe for a bite to eat where she was greeted by one of the unicorn guards. He saw that her eyes were red from crying. He asked, "Oh hi Twilight, what is wrong?"

Twilight replied, "Oh my friends aren't overly impressed and the princesses are very unimpressed over a decision I am making."

The guard saw the ring on her horn and figured it must be costume jewelry given how huge the stone in it was. He asked, "Twilight, is there a costume party tonight? That CZ in your horn ring is huge."

Twilight snapped, "It is not costume jewelry. Flash Sentry gave me this ring when he proposed to me last night."

The guard, like basically everypony else who knew him did not care for Flash. He laughed, "What? The pony who drinks most of his check away every month is finally settling down?" He began to laugh harder and asked, "Your Majesty, how did he afford a ring that big? Did he strike it big in a poker game? Did he rob a bank or did he hold up the jewelry store and steal it?"

The princess was not amused by this question and had her suspicions about his mentioning drinking and poker. She yelled, "He did not rob a bank and he did not hold up the jewelry store." She became more angry and continued, "AND he does not drink nor does he gamble!"

The guard laughed, "Actually Twilight, he does gamble. He had to hand his entire check over to me a few months ago when he was stupid enough to think that a pair of twos would win a hand of poker."

Twilight could not see a pony as sweet as Flash as the gambling type. She yelled, "You lie! He does not gamble and he is not stupid." Twilight slammed her hoof on the ground and took off towards her parents' house. When she arrived she was in a fury. She pounded on the door so loud that it shocked her parents.

Twilight Velvet, her mother answered the door. She was shocked by the mad fury in Twilight's face. She asked, "Twilight honey, what is wrong? Why are you so angry?"

Velvet's* sweet and caring voice calmed Twilight down. She replied, "I have told great news to not just my friends, but the princesses as well and they seem to think I'm doing the wrong thing."

Velvet motioned for Twilight to come in and sit down. She asked, "What news could upset......." She then noticed the ring on Twilight's horn. Unlike other ponies, she could tell it was an engagement ring. She hugged Twilight and asked, "Twilight, you're getting married? Who is the lucky stallion? He must be well off to be able to afford a ring that huge!"

Twilight didn't know that Shining Armor and Cadence were visiting. Shining Armor heard this, came in and said, "Twily, you're getting married? I'm so happy for you." He saw the ring on Twilight's horn and figured that the stallion she was marrying was quite wealthy. He asked, "So who's the lucky stallion?"

Twilight excitedly replied, "Flash Sentry! We have been dating for over a year but I never imagined he would propose to me!"

While Velvet remained happy, Shining Armor's smile turned into a scowl. He growled, "Flash Sentry? Seriously little sis?"

Twilight asked, "Shining, why do you all of a sudden seem so upset?"

Shining replied, "Twily, I know things about Flash that you do not. He was under my command before I married Cadence and trust me, he is incompetent, he is lazy and he is disobedient. I wouldn't even wish him on Chrysalis."

Before Twilight could say anything Crescent Sparkle,** Twilight's dad and Cadence came into the living room. Cadence saw Twilight and ran up to her. Like always they did their song and dance, "Sunshine, sunshine, lady bugs awake, clap your hooves and do a little shake!"

Cadence then saw the ring on Twilight's horn and was ecstatic. She hugged her and said, "Twilight, you're getting married! Who's the lucky stallion?"

Crescent added, "Yeah who is he and why haven't you brought him over to meet us yet?"

Twilight replied, "His name is Flash Sentry and he is in the royal guard."

Cadence's look of elation turned to one of concern. She asked, "Really Twilight? You're going to marry him?"

Crescent asked, "Twilight, it seems like Cadence and Shining Armor has their doubts about him but I would like to meet him for myself. I want to get to know the pony my daughter will be marrying for myself."

Velvet added, "As would I. After all, I want to know if what Shining is saying is true. I want to know if my daughter is going to marry a deadbeat."

Shining Armor replied, "Mom, dad, you don't have to get to know him. Like I said, I was his commander before I married Cadence. He is horrible at his job and I always overheard the guards talking about his drinking and gambling problems."

Crescent asked, "Twilight, is this true? Are you going to marry Flash despite these problems?"

Twilight replied, "Mom, that is a lie. Flash does not drink or gamble and he never has. How can you buy into these lies?"

Shining interrupted, "Twily, Flash just puts forth his best in front of you. You have never seen the real Flash Sentry. Trust me little sis, once you do see the real Flash, you will wish you never met him."

Twilight sighed, "Look, will you four just be here for me? No one else is even being supportive and it seems like Fluttershy would rather I be alone forever than seeing me with him."

Cadence knew of Fluttershy's nature. She asked, "Really? Fluttershy is against this?"

Twilight replied, "Yes. I never saw any pony act so rude and use as much sarcasm as she did when I told my friends about this." Twilight began to cry and continued, "I just want somepony to be here for me. I wish somepony besides me would be there for him besides me," Her crying intensified as she continued, "But NOPONY but me is there for him. Everypony in the guard hates him, my friends don't trust him and his family disowned him."

Shining laughed, "Well given how he is, it is no surprise that he has no friends, it is no surprise your friends distrust him and it is no surprise that his family disowned him. He is a loser Twily. I will be here for you but don't come crying to me when this sham of a marriage ends in divorce."

Pretty much ever since she first met Twilight as a filly Cadence had always been there for her. She had always been supportive of everything she did but she could not support this, she would not support her marrying Flash. Cadence added, "Twilight, I'm sorry but I am in the same mindset as Shiny. I'll be here for you but I will not support this."

Twilight had tears running down her face after hearing two of the ponies she thought cared about her the most saying they would not support her. She looked at her parents and cried, "Mom, dad, do you still want to meet him or are you going to side with them?"

Crescent replied, "I know your brother and Cadence wouldn't lie but I would still like to meet him. I want to see how nervous he is around me when I interrogate him about everything I have heard."

Velvet added, "He can meet Crescent and I together. I want to get to know him. Yeah I am not going to expect much from him but who knows, maybe he has changed since Shining married Cadence."

Twilight stormed out of her family's house and took flight back towards Ponyville. While she knew her parents did want to meet him and her friends said they would give him a chance, she knew Shining Armor and Cadence would never truly be there for her. She began to wonder if her and Flash should elope but then remembered that under Equestrian law, such a marriage involving a prince or princess would not be recognized and would result in her losing her wings and being stripped of her title so all she could do was wait until they could have a formal wedding.

* Given that both Twilight Sparkle and Twilight Velvet have the same first name, I am simply going to refer to Twilight Velvet as Velvet so that I do not have to specify which Twilight is speaking.

**While most use the name Night Light for Twilight's dad, I have heard him called Crescent Sparkle as well, and that is the name I shall use for him.

Fluttershy's Plans

While Twilight was up in Canterlot, Fluttershy was in her cottage screaming every obscenity in the book she was so mad. Rarity heard this and decided to go see what was wrong. She knocked on Fluttershy's door but did not get the response she had hoped for. Rather than opening the door to see who it was, Fluttershy screamed, "GO AWAY YOU MOTHER BUCKER, I DON'T WANT TO SEE ANYPONY RIGHT NOW!"

Rarity replied, "Fluttershy darling, it is me Rarity. I think we need to talk."

Fluttershy calmed down and opened the door. She saw that it was indeed Rarity and said, "Oh hi Rarity. What do you want?"

Despite not being invited in, Rarity pushed her way in and asked, "Fluttershy, why did you behave the way you did this morning? That is no way to treat a friend."

Fluttershy grunted, "You know why I acted like that? I acted like that because Twilight is going to marry some lazy bum when she knows that I love her, that I want her."

Rarity asked, "Does she know you love her? Have you ever told her that you love her?"

Fluttershy replied, "Well, um....no I haven't. I've given her subtle hints for years but I've always been too scared to tell her."

Rarity hugged Fluttershy and said, "Fluttershy, I don't think your hints let her know you loved her. Twilight is the type that has to be told things like that. I dropped hints on her for years that I wanted her but I eventually stopped because I figured she wasn't into mares."

Fluttershy laid her head on the table and began to sob, "I feel so bad now. I could have had her love if only I would have had the courage." She raised her head up, slammed her hoof into the floor and screamed, "But oh no, I just had to be a damn coward. Because of my weakness, now she is going to whore herself out to that shit for brains scumbag Trash Shitty, Ass Crappy or whatever the buck his name is."

Rarity couldn't help but laugh over the names that Fluttershy used but this didn't sit well with Fluttershy. She snapped, "What's so funny? Do you find my distress humorous?"

Rarity replied, "No darling, I just find the names you called him funny."

Fluttershy got a sinister look in her eyes. She said, "If only there was a way to prevent this wedding from ever happening. Maybe somepony needs to be taken out of the picture."

Rarity was shocked by what she was hearing. She knew that Fluttershy was upset about Twilight being engaged to Flash Sentry but could never imagine Fluttershy being the one to spill blood. She gasped, "Fluttershy, are you going to KILL him?"

At first that is exactly what she wanted to do but then she realized that if she were caught she would be locked up for life, which would not work in favor of her ultimate goal, taking Princess Twilight for herself. She replied, "Well I wanted to but the risks are simply too high. I know there has to be another way to pull this off, but mark my words, before the year is out, I will be Princess Fluttershy and Twilight will be my wife."

Rarity replied, "Fluttershy, I know that is what you want but I doubt it will happen. I think you should just get to know Flash Sentry like the rest of us, at least pretend to be happy for her and maybe she will ask you to be one of her bridesmares."

The wheels quickly began to turn inside the yellow pegasus's head as she realized that following Rarity's advice could work to her advantage. Fluttershy gave Rarity a sinister grin and said, "Alright Rarity, I'll do that." She began to snicker and continued, "You know, being a bridesmare will have it's advantages."

Rarity was shocked that Fluttershy would change her attitude so quickly. She saw Fluttershy rubbing her hooves together and knew she was planning something sneaky. She asked, "Fluttershy, what is running through your mind?"

Fluttershy replied, "Oh nothing special. I have a feeling that everypony will like it though, especially Twilight!"

Rarity asked, "Fluttershy, now why would Twilight like what you have running through your mind?"

Fluttershy replied, "Oh she just will. It will make her happy."

Rarity decided to just drop the issue as she figured that Fluttershy was not going to go into any detail with her. Fluttershy did have plans to impress Twilight but the plans she has are the absolute last thing that anypony would expect out of her.

Meeting the Friends

Three months pass before Twilight finally decides to introduce Flash to her friends. She had planned on doing it sooner but given how her friends reacted when she told them that he proposed to her, she was nervous. While Flash was visiting Twilight they decide to head over to Sugarcube Corner where they had gathered. Flash asked, "Twilight, do you think they will like me? Do you think they will think I'm good enough for you?"

Twilight replied, "Well when I first told them about our engagement they had their concerns but I'm sure once they see how sweet you are, they will think you'll be perfect for me."

Flash nervously said, "Alright, I just want them to like me."

The two head into the sweets shop where they are greeted by her friends. They thought with Flash being in the guard that he would look a bit tougher. They did not expect her to be with a pony that has such delicate facial features. Rainbow accidentally thought out loud, "Damn, is this a mare in drag? I've never seen a stallion with such feminine facial features."

Twilight snapped, "What did you say Rainbow?"

Rainbow replied, "Uh, well I was just wondering why he has such a delicate looking face."

Flash wanted to calm things down. He asked, "Twilight, could you introduce me to your friends so I can get to know them?"

Twilight replied, "Of course." She pointed her hoof towards them and continued, "The earth pony with the cowboy hat on is Applejack, the pink earth pony is Pinkie Pie, the white unicorn is Rarity, the yellow Pegasus is Fluttershy and the blue Pegasus is Rainbow Dash."

Flash replied, "It is nice to meet all of you."

Fluttershy realized that she needed to be nice and put Twilight in a false sense of security. She replied, "It is nice to meet you too."

Applejack asked, "So, how'd y'all meet up?"

Flash replied, "Well it was almost accidental. She was in Canterlot and tripped over her own hooves. She landed in front of me so I helped her up. We basically hit it right off."

Twilight added, "And he was such a gentlestallion when he helped me up. He gave me the most wonderful smile and offered to take me out to dinner."

While she looked happy on the outside, Fluttershy was secretly thinking that Flash only did it so he could get in Twilight's coat. She asked, "Oh and how long did it take you two to realize you were marriage material?"

Flash seemed to have taken over the conversation by this point. He replied, "Around a year."

Twilight added, "And what a wonderful y......."

Flash interrupted, "It has been worth it though, especially once we are married and I am a prince. Then we can decide together what is best for Ponyville."

Rainbow asked, "Decide what is best for Ponyville? Isn't the mayor in charge of what happens here?"

Twilight replied, "Well yeah......."

Flash again interrupted, "Unfortunately yes but I am thinking I should change things. Don't you think so Twilight? After all I think that I, I mean we, would know what is best for this town and the surrounding areas."

Very quickly Twilight's friends could tell that Flash was not the nice pony that Twilight claimed. They could tell that he would wind up controlling her and that what she thought was best would not come to pass, it would be what Flash wanted that would come to pass. Despite this though, they sat there looking happy for her.

Applejack asked, "So Flash, why don't y'all tell us more about yourself?"

Flash replied, "Well I was born in Cloudsdale into an upper class family so we never really had to worry about much. My father was the captain of the Cloudsdale guard so naturally I was destined to be part of the guard somewhere. I do hope that eventually I can become a captain like my father did and like Twilight's brother did before he married Cadence."

Rarity asked, "Flash, do you have any other family in the guard?"

The very thoughts of having to mention his brother repulsed Flash but he figured that he had better not lie if he wanted to stay with Twilight. He replied, "Yeah I do. I have an older brother who became the captain of the Manehattan guard."

Pinkie asked, "So do you two have much in common?"

Flash sighed, "No, we do not. He has this rough and tough warrior mentality while I am more tender hearted." He began to become a bit agitated as he continued, "He is a lot more like my dad and they think he is the best thing in the world. That caused us to grow further apart."

Twilight added, "Don't you thin.........."

Flash interrupted, "I'm not finished Twilight." He continued to get angrier as he continued, "And then they hear these rumors that I am lazy and disobedient which are not true. Just ask Twilight here." He began to snort and slammed his hoof on the table and finished, "And then they hear rumors that I have problems with drinking and gambling which only causes them to distance me from them further. Then they get it in their heads that I am soliciting prostitutes which is the biggest lie of them all. It is that idiotic belief they have about me that caused them to disown me."

Twilight's jaw dropped open. "Flash, is this true? Is what they heard the truth?"

Flash quickly realized that not only had he allowed his temper to flare in front of Twilight and her friends, but that he also mentioned something he had hoped to hide from her. He knew he had to reassure her. "Twilight, you know I'm not like that. I would never engage in such activities. My father may have done that given that he has been stationed in a lot of towns but I'm not like that. You should know that."

Twilight's friends sat there in disgust and Twilight could sense their displeasure with his behavior so she decided it was time to go. She said, "Flash, think we ought to get going? We both have things we have to do."

Flash knew that if he continued to talk with her friends that he would only make himself look worse. He replied, "Yeah, I think we ought to go."

The two waved at her friends as they headed out. Once they were out of earshot Applejack asked, "Is it just me or do y'all think he is hiding something?"

Fluttershy replied, "I think he is hiding something and we need to find out what it is."

Rarity added, "Did you see how he treated her? He would hardly let her talk, it seemed like he had to have control of the situation."

Rainbow continued, "I have a feeling that he will control and manipulate her. We need to put a stop to this."

Pinkie asked, "But how?"

Fluttershy replied, "We will do it by continuing to be nice and pretend we support this. If she makes us her bridesmares that will give us more time to figure something out. Besides, I think I know how to sway Twilight's decision."

Rarity had heard Fluttershy talk about this when Twilight initially announced her engagement and knew that Fluttershy was most likely just as serious as she was back then. She asked, "Fluttershy, how is it that you think you can sway Twilight's decision?"

Fluttershy started rubbing her hooves together and said with a sinister smile, "I can't give out the details. Like I said before, what I have planned is something she will like." Her facial expression changed to one of grim determination as she continued, "Don't worry about this girls, Fluttershy has this all planned out. Flash will be crying when I make her see that there are nice and sexy ponies out there, ponies that are far better than that dumb, ugly piece of shit."

Her friends had curious looks on their faces as they were wondering what she meant when she mentioned making Twilight see that there are nicer and sexier ponies out there. While they knew that Fluttershy had a crush on Twilight, only Rarity had a feeling that Fluttershy may use seduction to sway Twilight's decision. While deep down Rarity had a crush on Fluttershy, she realized that Fluttershy would make a much better spouse for Twilight than Flash.

Meeting the Parents

Another month and a half passed until Twilight would finally introduce her fiance to her parents. As they were headed towards the Sparkle Family's house Twilight said, "Flash, please don't blow up around my parents the way you did my friends. The last thing you need are potential in-laws who have a bad image of you."

Flash replied, "Trust me honey, I won't. I've been working on controlling my temper."

Twilight said, "And PLEASE do not mention the rumors that caused your parents to disown you, especially the part about them thinking you solicit prostitutes. If you mention that, they will think that you do and probably talk to Luna about making you disappear without a trace."

Flash gulped, "They would really do that?"

Twilight replied, "Yes, they would. They don't want me hooking up with anypony that is questionable, much less marrying a guy that is questionable."

They finally reach Twilight's parents' house and knock on the door. Crescent answers the door and when he sees the two he says, "So you FINALLY decide to bring him over to meet us." He motioned for them to go in.

They headed to the living room and sat on the couch where they were greeted by Velvet. Velvet looked at Flash with a frown and asked, "So we finally get to meet him?"

Twilight replied, "Yeah. I'm sorry I didn't bring him here sooner."

Crescent in a gruff voice said, "Twilight, could you leave please? We want to get to know him alone. We don't want you here protecting him from our questions."

Twilight looked sad and replied, "Ok dad. I'll see you later."

Once Twilight left Crescent decided the time to interrogate the guardspony had come. He said, "So soldier, tell us a bit about yourself."

Twilight had told him what her parents' names are so when he spoke to him, he made the mistake of calling him by his first name. "Well Crescent, I......."

Crescent interrupted, "That is MR. SPARKLE to you private."

Flash gulped, "I'm sorry Mr. Sparkle." Flash regained his composure and continued, "Well I was born into a wealthy family in Cloudsdale. My father was captain of the Cloudsdale guard so he was paid quite well. Before he was elevated to captain, he was stationed in various pl......"

Velvet interrupted, "We want to hear about YOU, not your father."

Flash replied, "I'm sorry ma'am. Ok, well given that my dad was a captain in the Cloudsdale guard it was a given that I would wind up being a guardspony. I just never imagined that I would wind up being part of Princess Celestia's Royal Guard. I remember when I got the news my family was quite proud of me."

Crescent wanted to know more about his relationship with his family as he knew that would say a lot about him. He asked, "So how well do you get along with your family?"

Flash replied, "Well when I first joined the guard we got along very well. After a couple years they began to wonder why I had not been promoted, they wondered why I was still a private."

Velvet asked, "How long have you been in the guard?"

Flash replied, "Five years."

Crescent asked with a glare, "Five years? You should be at least a sargent by this point, if not a lieutenant. It only took Shining Armor four years to become a captain."

Velvet got in his face and asked, "WHY haven't you been promoted?"

Flash nervously replied, "Well every commander I have served under, including your son, seems to think that I am lazy and incompetent."

Neither parent liked the fact that he brought Shining Armor into the discussion. Crescent yelled, "How dare you bring our son into this. He is an excellent commander, probably the best captain the Royal Guard ever had. He calmed down and asked, "So Flash, are you lazy and incompetent? Is what Shining reported to us about you true?"

Velvet added, "Shining Armor is a great commander. He knows who deserves promotions and who doesn't which means that you obviously haven't done anything to deserve a promotion."

Flash replied, "I am not lazy and I don't see why nopony has seen me as worthy of a promotion. I do my job."

Velvet laughed, "Bad grammar I see. I doubt Twilight would like that! Once she hears you using bad grammar, she'll leave you for sure!"

Flash sighed, "Ok, I don't understand why anypony has not seen me as deserving of getting a promotion."

Crescent remembered the things that Shining had mentioned when Twilight first told them about their engagement. Crescent asked, "Flash, when we first heard about your engagement to our daughter Shining had his concerns. He told all of us that your are lazy, incompetent and disobedient. He had also mentioned rumors about you having a drinking and a gambling problem. Is all this true?" He got up in the guardspony's face and continued, "And don't even try to lie to me. Shining Armor would not make things up and I am very good at spotting liars."

Flash realized that he needed to tell the truth. He replied, "Mr. Sparkle, your son was right about me. When I served under him I could have done a better job and in my past I did probably drink and gamble more than I should have."

Velvet asked, "Are you still doing a lousy job and do you still have these off duty problems."

Flash replied, "I am doing a much better job than I used to, I only have a drink once in a while and I only gamble once a month, and that is just involving small amounts of money."

Crescent asked, "So Flash, do you plan on settling down entirely once you marry our daughter? Do you plan on staying home in the evenings rather than engaging in activities that may be detrimental to the marriage?"

Flash replied, "Yes sir. I have been slowly but surely cutting back on both activities."

Velvet said, "Well let's hope so. I do not, I repeat, I do not want to see my daughter's heart broken. She already has enough stress being a princess. The last thing she needs is a husband who will only cause her heartache."

Flash replied, "Yes ma'am. I understand."

Crescent wanted to know if he had any other family in the guard. He asked, "So private, do you have any other family in the guard?"

Flash replied, "Yes, I do. I have a brother who is the captain of the Manehattan guard."

Crescent asked, "How long has he been in the guard?"

Talking about his brother began to irritate him but he knew he had to do it. He replied, "Well he has been in the guard for six years."

Velvet asked, "Oh, and how quickly did he move up in the ranks."

Flash growled, "He moved up rather quickly. He was promoted to corporal in just three months and in just two years he was made a captain. It was only a year after that when he was made the captain of the Manehattan Guard. I think the powers that be simply like him more."

Crescent shook his head and replied, "Listen, I think I know what the problem is here. It is quite obvious that your brother has a business-first mindset, which is why he moved up through the ranks so quickly. I bet if I were to ask Shining Armor he would probably have enough information on him that he could report a perfect service record." He sighed and continued, "You on the other hand, have a lot of room to improve and I honestly don't ever seeing you do it."

Flash was getting extremely nervous and couldn't handle being interrogated by his future in-laws anymore. He looked up at the clock and said, "Well it has been nice talking with you but I have to report for guard duty in thirty minutes."

Crescent escorted him to the door and sneered, "Well you better get to guard duty where all you do is stand around and molest other mares with your eyes."

Flash grunted and headed out the door. After leaving Velvet said, "I don't know about you honey but I don't like him one bit. I think he is hiding things and I'm damn sure he is lying about his drinking and gambling."

Crescent added, "As do I. One thing we do know is that everypony except Twilight does not like him. Maybe if we are lucky somepony will turn her against him as well."

Velvet said, "And if she does marry that loser, chances are she will be filing for divorce and have him banished from Equestria within a couple of months."

While Twilight's parents continued their discussion, Flash headed to the base realizing that he did make some mistakes. On the way there he ran into Twilight. She asked, "Flash, how did the meeting go with my parents?"

Flash knew he had to lie to keep Twilight from getting upset. He replied, "Well they went fairly good. I don't think they are very impressed with the fact that I haven't moved up any in the ranks yet but other than that things went good."

Twilight asked, "That's it? That's all they were upset about?"

Flash smiled, "Yeah. I have a feeling they are questioning my work ethic but I think that they know I have potential so there shouldn't be any problems with them supporting our marriage."

Twilight kissed Flash and replied, "Yes, yes, yes! I'm so happy!"

Flash said, "Well honey, I better get off to guard duty. I really don't want to be late."

Twilight replied, "Alright sweetie, I'll see you later."

Twilight headed home happy after what Flash had told her. If only she knew that he had lied through his teeth she would not be so happy. She decided that she would simply relax that evening since for the first time in quite a while, she did not have any stress involving overly concerned friends, disapproving princesses and distrustful parents.

A Royal Meeting

Two more weeks passed and it was only a month until Flash and Twilight would get married. All the princesses had hoped that by this point Twilight would have seen Flash's bad side come out and leave him, but that had not happened yet. The three finally decided that action had to be taken. They decided that they had no choice but to sabotage things before the wedding, even if it meant either framing one of them of committing a high level crime or having somepony seduce one or the other the night before the wedding.

They were having a meeting in Canterlot when they began to throw suggestions around. Celestia asked, "Luna, I remember when Twilight told us about her engagement you asked her if she wanted to hear about what Flash does when he thinks nopony is watching. What does he specifically do?"

Luna replied, "We have seen him soliciting prostitutes, we have seen him get so drunk he collapses in the streets and we have seen him have to hand over entire paychecks because of his stupidity when it comes to playing poker." Luna began to laugh as she continued, "Get this, he wagered his whole check when he was playing poker with some of the other guards. He thought a pair of twos would win the hand!"

Celestia asked, "What? You have seen him doing all that? Why didn't you swoop down, grab him and throw him in the dungeon?"

Luna replied, "Sister, we would have but thou hast not made prostitution illegal in Equestria. Thou hast left that issue up to individual communities and every community EXCEPT Canterlot hast made it illegal."

Cadence interrupted with a laugh, "Wait a minute, he wagered his whole check when he only had a pair of twos?"

Luna replied, "Yes, he did." Luna frowned and continued, "If thou asks us, we think anypony that stupid should not be allowed in the guard, but unfortunately it is thou big sister who has the final say on things like this."

Celestia sighed, "We're getting off track here. We need to get back to discussing how we can stop this. Talking about Flash's idiocy when it comes to playing poker is not getting the job done."

Luna interrupted, "Sister, remember how we said that we can tell that Fluttershy has a crush on Twilight. We have an idea that might sway Twilight into wanting her instead of Flash."

Celestia asked, "Oh, and how is this going to happen?"

Luna replied, "Here is how we think it could happen. On the night before the wedding, after everypony goes to bed, we will have Fluttershy sneak into Twilight's bedroom. She will use her sweet nature and that sexy body of her's to seduce Twilight. She will give Twilight the time of her life and after that, Twilight will want to marry Fluttershy on the spot. We would much rather see Fluttershy as a princess than Flash as a prince."

Both Celestia and Cadence's jaws dropped open. Celestia sighed, "Luna, are you nuts? Fluttershy would never do such a thing. She would never do anything to jeopardize her friendship with Twilight and she is innocent and pure. Mentioning those kinds of activities around her would cause her to shriek, hide behind one of her friends and want to leave as soon as possible."

Cadence interrupted, "Oh I think I can change that. She just needs the right amount of confidence and a little education on how to please a pony."

Celestia replied, "Oh and let me guess, you think you are the one to get her to do this."

Cadence said, "Yes. I am thinking that perhaps I should pay her a visit tonight. All she needs is a little push and some confidence."

Luna asked, "What dost thou mean by a 'little push?'"

Cadence replied, "I will teach her the art of seduction. I will give her a first hoof lesson when it comes to turning other ponies on, how to drive other ponies wild and how to get another mare to have an orgasm so intense that she will want to spend the rest of the life with the pony who caused her to have it."

Celestia asked, "Wait a minute Cadence, what would Shining Armor think about this? What would he think about you cheating on him with Fluttershy?"

Cadence replied, "Oh, I've already talked to him about this. He said that since I would be doing this with another mare in the hopes it would result in Twilight dumping Flash Sentry, that he is fine with it."

The other two princesses looked at one another with shocked looks on their faces but realized that this could very well be the only way to do this. Luna asked, "So, when dost thou plan on doing this?"

Cadence replied, "Tonight. When I first get there I will talk to her about her feelings towards Twilight and Flash getting together and then progress forward from that. Once I mention I know of a way to make her dream of taking Twilight for herself, she will be more than eager to do whatever it takes and once she experiences her first erotic moment, she will want more. Once she gets her chance, she will give Twilight the time of her life and then we will have nothing to worry about."

Luna asked, "Thou seems most sure of thyself. We hope thou dost not fail."

Celestia added, "Cadence, there is one thing I worry about. What if it becomes YOU that she wants more of? What if she wants to steal you away from Shining Armor?"

Cadence replied, "I will make sure she doesn't. After our intimate encounter, I will convince her that Twilight will be far better than me." She smiled and continued, "Trust me, I know what I'm doing."

Celestia said, "Well it is time for me to lower the sun and Luna to raise the moon." She smiled at Cadence and continued, "I would suggest you wait a couple of hours after I set the sun. We do not want her friends catching you two together."

Cadence nodded and waited patiently. Finally two hours after the sun had set Cadence said, "Well you two, wish me luck. I'm off to save not just Twilight, but the entire royalty of Equestria."

Luna replied, "Well thou had better succeed, for Twilight's sake."

Celestia added, "And for the sake of the royalty of Equestria. If he becomes a prince I could see our subjects turning on us and attempting to overthrow us. After all, NOPONY likes Flash Sentry. Many would rather have the evil version of Discord in charge than have Flash be royalty."

Cadence flew off the balcony towards Ponyville. Celestia looked towards Luna and said, "I am honestly worried about how Fluttershy will react when Cadence does what she plans on doing. I am worried that she may faint and be scared of any kind of physical touch for years."

Luna replied, "We worry about the same thing. All we can do is hope for the best."

An Unexpected Experience

The sun had been down for nearly two and a half hours when Cadence arrived in Ponyville. She walked around town first to make sure that there were no special gatherings going on anywhere. She looked off in the distance and saw lights on in Fluttershy's cottage. This made her happy because this would make things a lot easier for her. She headed over to the cottage and knocked on the door. While Fluttershy had been putting forth a cheerful attitude in public, sadness, anger and jealousy still consumed her when she was at home. She was not thrilled that somepony would want to visit her that late at night. She grumpily asked, "Who's there?"

Cadence replied, "Princess Cadence. I need to talk to you."

While she was not thrilled, she opened the door to see a pink Alicorn standing there. She asked, "Your Majesty, what do you want to talk to me about?"

Cadence replied, "Could you just call me Cadence, this isn't the time for formalities."

Fluttershy motioned for the princess to go in and sit down. The two sat in the front room where Fluttershy again asked, "Cadence, what do you want to talk about?"

Cadence replied, "I want to talk to you about Twilight. I want to talk to you about what you think of her engagement to Flash Sentry."

Fluttershy asked, "Uhm.....well.... Do you promise not to tell anypony what I'm about to tell you?"

Cadence replied, "Nopony will hear a word of this."

Fluttershy started, "Well, I will be honest. I don't like it, no, I hate it!"

Cadence asked, "Why do you hate it?"

Fluttershy replied, "Because I have a crush on her. I think she is so attractive and so sexy. I wish I could be with her. I wish she would be marrying ME instead of that idiot Flash Sentry." Fluttershy then became suspicious and continued, "Cadence, why do you want to know this?"

Cadence said, "If you want Twilight for yourself, I can help you make that happen."

Fluttershy knew of Cadence's abilities when it came to love but still was unsure as to how she could just make this happen. She asked, "Cadence, I know you are powerful but how will you make this happen?"

Cadence replied, "I won't be the one making it happen, you will be the one to make it happen. There are just a few things that you need to learn. You need to learn how to please a mare." Cadence knew of how Fluttershy looked at Twilight but decided that she better make sure that Fluttershy does indeed like mares. Cadence asked, "Fluttershy, I do want to make sure of something. Do you like mares or stallions or do you like both?"

This question hit Fluttershy wrong. She snapped, "You should know I only like mares. Why would I want Twilight if I liked stallions." She then gagged a bit and continued, "The very thought of stallions and romance involving me makes me sick."

Cadence moved from a chair to the couch with Fluttershy and smiled, "Fluttershy, I know many ways that you can take Twilight as your own." She scooted close to Fluttershy and put her wing around her and continued, "What would you be willing to do to make sure Twilight does not marry Flash Sentry? How far would you be willing to go to get Twilight to marry you instead?"

Fluttershy replied, "I would be willing to do anything."

Cadence pulled Fluttershy close to her and began to passionately kiss her. At first Fluttershy was shocked by this and had no clue how to act, but once Cadence forced her tongue into her mouth, Fluttershy began to rub her tongue up against that of Cadence. Ten minutes later Cadence broke this kiss. She smiled and asked, "So Fluttershy, did you like that?"

Fluttershy dreamily replied, "Yes! I loved it! Is that what will win over Twilight?"

Cadence replied, "Oh no Fluttershy, you will have to do much more than that to take her for yourself."

Cadence began to move her hoof down Fluttershy's torso towards her marehood. Fluttershy had a nervous look on her face as she was doing this. When Cadence finally reached her target, she discovered that Fluttershy was already sopping wet down there. As her hoof began to caress Fluttershy's clit, the shy pegasus shrieked loudly. She took off and crashed into the ceiling before falling back down with a slight bruise on her head. She asked, "What-what were you doing?"

Cadence replied, "Just giving you a little lesson in what you will need to do to make Twilight yours."

Rarity realized that she had asked Fluttershy a question she would not want to answer so she interrupted, "So Twilight, what color do you want our dresses and more importantly, what color do you want your dress?"

Twilight replied, "Well I was thinking that you could make the bridesmaids' dresses an off white with accents that are the color of their coats and I think something similar to the color of my coat with my cutie mark on it would be good."

Rarity asked, "What about Cadence? What color do you want her dress to be?"

Twilight replied, "Well I think something similar to the bridesmares' dresses will be, off white with accents that match her coat."

Rarity asked, "Twilight, when do I need to have these dresses ready? How long is it until the wedding?"

Twilight replied, "Well it is 28 days from now so it would be nice if you could get them done in three weeks, three and a half weeks at the most."

Rarity replied, "Well I better get started right away!"

While Rarity rushed off to her boutique to start working on the dresses, up in Canterlot things were not looking so promising for Flash Sentry when it came to finding groomsstallions and a best stallion. While he was on duty he would continue to ask his fellow soldiers but naturally they would decline his offers, often with a laugh and an insult. Finally he decides that he will ask the one pony who is probably more hated than him, Prince Blueblood.

Flash was nervous as he headed to Blueblood's personal palace because he knew how the prince felt about those who were not of royal blood. Finally he reaches the palace and is greeted by two guards. These guards, like every other guard in Canterlot, did not have a favorable opinion of him. One of the guards asked, "What are you doing here private?"

Flash replied, "Well I need to speak with Prince Blueblood."

The other guard laughed, "You're kidding right? The prince will gag and throw you out!"

Flash replied, "Please, could you just please let him know that somepony wishes to see him."

The first guard sighed, "Fine. I'll be back but don't be surprised if he says no."

The guard headed into the palace and approached Blueblood in his throne room. Blueblood saw him and asked, "Guard, you are supposed to be protecting the entrance to MY castle. What do you want?"

The guard replied, "Your Majesty, there is this guardspony who wants to speak to you."

Blueblood replied, "Oh and who is this guard who wishes to speak to me?"

The guard replied, "It is Flash Sentry."

Blueblood knew of how much Flash was hated and realized that maybe if he did this that would help improve his image so he reluctantly told the guard to go and bring Flash to him.

Flash knew the protocol. Just like when he was led to see Twilight, he had to follow the higher ranking guard. When he finally arrived he saw Prince Blueblood in all his glory, snobby smile and all. Blueblood gave Flash a nasty look and asked, "What does a pony of non-royal blood wish to discuss with me?"

Flash asked, "Well your Majesty, as you know I am marrying Princess Twilight Sparkle in a bit less than a month. I am wondering if you would be my stallion of honor?"

Blueblood replied, "What? Me mingle with a commoner like that? Don't make me gag!" The prince then realized that maybe doing this would be in his best interests. He continued, "I am sorry for my reaction soldier. I will gladly be your stallion of honor."

Flash saluted the prince and replied, "Thank you your Majesty, I greatly appreciate it."

Blueblood said, "Thanks but now be gone with you! I have things I have to do!"

Flash left Blueblood's palace with a huge smile on his face. While he knew that Blueblood was doing this not because he wanted to, but to improve his image, he headed away happy. While it was not mandatory that grooms have regular groomsstallions, he had a stallion to be by his side and that is all that mattered.

While he was headed towards the base, in Ponyville, Twilight had caught the train to the Crystal Empire. While she was pretty sure that Cadence would happily accept her offer, she still had to ask her. Three hours later she arrived in the empire. She quickly rushed to the castle and headed up to the throne room. There she was greeted by her brother and Cadence. Immediately they ran up to one another and began their song and dance,

Shining Armor ran up to his sister, hugged her and said, "Twily! It's so good to see you!"

Cadence knew that the wedding was less than a month away and figured that Twilight was probably up there for something such as advice. She asked, "Twilight, I know the wedding isn't too far away. Do you need some advice on what married life is like?"

Twilight replied, "Well no. I came up here to see if you would be my mare of honor."

Cadence replied, "Of course I'll be your maid of honor Twilight. We've been almost like sisters since you were a filly!"

Twilight said, "Thank you Cadence! I'm so happy that you'll be there for me on what will be the happiest day of my life."

Cadence blushed upon hearing Fluttershy's name. She couldn't help but remember the two nights that they had spent together, which she considered the two most wonderful nights of her life. Twilight asked, "Cadence, why are you blushing? Do you have a crush on one of my bridesmaids?"

Cadence's jaw dropped open when she asked this. Despite Shining Armor being present, Cadence blushed and replied, "Yeah, I have a crush on Fluttershy."

Twilight looked over at her brother and asked, "Shining, did you know about this? Did you know about her crush on Fluttershy?"

Shining replied, "Yeah I know about it and I don't see anything wrong with it. It's not like she has a crush on a stallion!"

Twilight was stunned, She asked, "So you are perfectly fine with her liking one of my friends in a way that is more than just being a friend? What if Fluttershy was to seduce her or something? What if she was to divorce you and want to marry Fluttershy instead?"

Shining rubbed his hoof in Twilight's mane, messing it up. He laughed, "Oh Twily, you're so funny! Fluttershy is not going to seduce Cadence and steal her away from me!"

Cadence added, "Yeah Twilight. You know I love your brother."

Twilight realized that her questions were rather silly and overly paranoid. She replied, "Yeah, you're right. I'm just being overly paranoid!"

Once they got all that talk out of the way they began to talk about how their lives were going and sat down to a nice dinner. While Shining Armor did know about the tryst his wife had with Fluttershy, there was no way that either one of them were going to tell Twilight about it, especially why it happened. Shining Armor hated Flash probably more than anypony in the country and figured that his wife engaging in lesbian sex was a small price to pay to keep his sister from marrying Flash Sentry, who he considered a worthless piece of shit.

The Day Before

A little over three weeks passed and finally it was the day before the wedding. Twilight woke up and realized that she had to gather her friends and head up to Canterlot, which would not be a tough task as they were headed towards her castle as she walked out the door. Applejack tried to reassure her. "Twilight, everything is going to be ok. Rarity knows y'all's measurements, mah family will have the food ready to go and Flash ain't going to not show up. Y'all know he loves you."

Fluttershy added, "Yeah Twilight, everything will be ok."

Twilight replied, "Thank you girls. I'm so happy all of you will be by my side for this."

When she said this Fluttershy couldn't help but smile. Considering the fact that her and Cadence had had several more trysts since their first, she was very confident in her ability to seduce Twilight. Twilight looked at the clock tower and saw that it was 0900. She said, "Come on ladies, come on Spike, we need to get going!"

Spike grunted in disgust believing that Twilight, who he views as a mother, was completely brainwashed by a pony who only wanted to marry her so he could become royalty. Once they got on the train and began their journey to Canterlot, Twilight calmed down as she knew that the final leg of her journey of being married had begun. She wasn't the only one to be happy though as Fluttershy was also happy. While she was excited about stealing Twilight away from Flash Sentry, she was also dreaming about the night to come, the night in which she will give Twilight her first sexual experience.

While they were on their way to Canterlot, Flash Sentry was meeting with Prince Blueblood. Flash had a confident attitude which impressed Blueblood. He said, "Flash Sentry, I know you are looking forward to this and are certain everything will go well, but what are you going to do if the commoner princess eventually decides she is too good for you, a commoner guardspony?"

Flash replied, "Your Majesty, I have her under my complete control. She thinks the world of me and I have already shown my dominance by taking control of a conversation when she introduced me to her friends."

Blueblood was shocked by this. He did not expect the lowly private to be able to manipulate a princess so well. He said, "You know Flash, perhaps I should talk to my aunt about promoting you. A pony who can control a princess deserves to be much more than a private."

Flash replied, "Well Celestia said that once I marry Twilight I will become a prince and will not have to be in the guard anymore."

Blueblood knew a few things about Flash, but he especially knew about how tender hearted he was. He said, "Well perhaps that is for the best. Tender hearted guardsponies would snap like a twig if he was to ever have to go to war."

Flash took the statement as a bit insulting but knew better than to say anything. After all, he did not want the prince to change his mind on being his best stallion. He replied, "Well we better go and get ready for the practice ceremony. After all, we want to be our best."

While the two began to get dressed for the ceremony Twilight and her friends headed straight to the throne room where they were greeted warmly by Celestia, Luna and Cadence. Like they always do when they see each other, Cadence and Twilight did their little song and dance.

Celestia ran up to Twilight and said, "Twilight, it is so good to see you." Her tone of voice became more concerned as she continued, "Twilight, are you sure you want to do this?"

Twilight looked sad and replied, "Your Majesties, you know we love each other. Just drop it alright?"

While Twilight was talking to Luna and Celestia, Cadence ran over to Fluttershy and whispered, "Fluttershy, are you ready for tonight?"

Fluttershy replied, "Yeah I am but I do have one question."

Cadence replied, "What do you want to ask?"

Fluttershy asked, "Uhm, if it is at all possible, do you think we could have one more tryst? You make me feel so good and every time we do it I get more confident."

Cadence replied, "Well, I am not sure if we would be able to. The practice ceremony is this afternoon."

Fluttershy begged, "Please? Just one more time."

Cadence replied, "Alright Fluttershy, I can make an excuse for us to get away from everypony else. It won't be as long as our other times but I promise you, we will make it the hottest one yet."

The remaining princesses continued to talk to Twilight and her friends for twenty minutes before they noticed that Fluttershy and Cadence were not there. Celestia was the one to notice. She asked, "Twilight, what happened to Cadence and Fluttershy? Do you know where they went?"

Twilight looked around and was shocked that neither one of them were there. She replied, "I don't know where they are. We better go looking for them."

Luna had a sixth sense and had a feeling as to what was going on. She interrupted, "Twilight, Celestia, thou wait here. We shall go looking for them."

They agreed while Luna headed up to the upper level of the castle and heard moaning and squealing coming from one of the VIP bedrooms. Without warning, she barged in and caught the two sucking on one another's marehoods. She screamed, "Fluttershy, Cadence, what are thou doing?"

Cadence replied, "Luna, I can explain."

Luna smiled and replied, "We wish thou the best of luck Fluttershy. Cadence told us that she was going to teach thee some things. We have agreed that if thou art able to take Twilight for thyself, we shall make thee a princess."

Luna replied, "Yes, we would do that." She looked at the door and continued, "Thou had best get washed and meet us down in the throne room. The practice ceremony is not too far away and thou can not come in smelling of one another's cum."

Luna replied, "Alright big sister. Remember a month ago when Cadence said that she was going to pay Fluttershy a visit?"

Celestia said, "Yes, I do. Does this involve that?"

Luna replied "Yes, it does. Well for the past month Cadence has had many trysts with Fluttershy and we discovered why they disappeared earlier today. They were having one final tryst before tonight."

Celestia's jaw dropped. She asked, "Really? Is Fluttershy going to try to seduce Twilight tonight?"

Luna replied, "Yes, she is. Cadence has taught her many things and has provided her with a lot of confidence. We have a feeling that with as confident as she is and as well learned Cadence has made her that she will succeed in making Twilight want to marry her instead of Flash Sentry."

Celestia asked, "Luna, if she really wows her tonight, if they were to want to get married right there on the spot, do you think I should let them?"

Luna asked in return, "Why dost thou ask?"

Celestia replied, "I just have a feeling that that might happen. If it does, I will marry them right there despite no paperwork having been filed."

Luna asked, "What will we do with Flash Sentry? We are most sure that he will not want to see them get married."

Celestia replied, "We will have other guards grab him and force him to watch it. I want to see the look on his face when I pronounce Princess Twilight and Fluttershy, who will immediately become a princess, as mare and mare."

Luna began to laugh, "That will be most priceless. That will be the ultimate defeat for him. Maybe he will quit the guard, go hide in the Everfree Forest and get eaten by some dangerous creature!"

Celestia broke down laughing with Luna imagining the lousiest guard being eaten alive by some creature. Celestia laughed, "That would be priceless, if only we could be present and get that on video! It would be a top seller across all of Equestria!"

One of the guards knocked on the door and said, "Your Majesties, it is time for the practice ceremony."

The two princesses broke their laughter and headed towards the throne room. While the practice ceremony went without a hitch, the princesses (except Twilight) and Fluttershy were hoping that the real ceremony would be radically different. Celestia and Luna had plans to introduce not a new prince to their subjects, but a new princess instead.

Fluttershy's Mission

After turning the light off Fluttershy laid there in bed waiting to get up until the right moment. She knew that she couldn't just get up and go see Twilight immediately. Getting out of there unnoticed would be difficult enough with them asleep but trying to do so while they are still a bit awake would be impossible. Around midnight Fluttershy heard the snores of her four friends so she finally got up and quietly headed towards Twilight's old bedroom, where she was sleeping, or so she thought.

She headed down the hallway and heard quiet sobbing. She opened the door to Twilight's room to find her sitting up, crying quietly. Twilight was shocked by her entering the room and asked, "Fluttershy, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be sleeping?"

Fluttershy sat down next to Twilight and replied, "I can't sleep Twilight. I saw how everyone was towards you tonight and I decided to check on you and I am glad I did. It looks like you need some comforting."

Twilight was a bit surprised. She did not imagine that the pony who was so initially against her marrying Flash would be the one to come comfort her in her time of need. She said, "Thank you Fluttershy. At least somepony cares about my feelings."

Fluttershy put her wing around Twilight and began to rub her shoulder, quickly calming her down. Twilight looked towards Fluttershy into those blue eyes and continued, "I know you are the element of kindness, but this has to be the kindest thing you have ever done for me before." She put her wing around Fluttershy and continued, "I guess it takes something like this for me to discover who my true friends are."

Fluttershy pulled her close and replied, "It's ok Twilight. You know I'll always be here for you, no matter what." She pulled Twilight closer to her and stared into those purple eyes with her blue eyes and moved in for a kiss. Twilight was shocked that her friend would do this, but she did not resist as her lips met those of Fluttershy.

Twilight felt a sense of shock but bliss at the same time as Fluttershy laid her down and crawled on top of her. She began to explore every inch of Twilight's mouth with her own before Twilight began to rub her own tongue against Fluttershy's. Fluttershy pulled Twilight's legs apart with her own and began to rub her marehood up against the purple Alicorn's. Twilight moaned and arched her back as Fluttershy continued to do this. Fluttershy broke the kiss and asked, "Does this feel good?"

Twilight moaned, "Yes, oh yes it does."

Fluttershy began to grind herself harder and harder against Twilight. Twilight began to moan, "Oh Shy, oh Shy , oh Shy it feels so good, oh Fluttershy!"

Fluttershy stopped grinding and began to kiss Twilight again, but started to move her kisses down her torso. Twilight could only lay there in anticipation of what would happen next. She knew where Fluttershy was headed and as she got close to her target, Twilight began to squirm. Fluttershy in a calm voice said, "It's ok Twilight, Fluttershy is here to comfort you."

Twilight was breathing a bit harder but still didn't know if this was right. She replied, "Fluttershy, I know this is wrong but it feels so good."

Fluttershy asked, "Why do you think it is wrong?"

Twilight replied, "Because I'm marrying Flash tomorrow. I feel like I'm cheating on him but this feels so good."

Fluttershy said, "Oh I don't think he will mind. It's not like you are doing something with another stallion." Fluttershy licked her clit and continued, "And even if he would have problems with it, nopony ever said he has to know about this!"

Before Twilight could say anything Fluttershy began to suck on Twilight's marehood and ran her tongue up in her. Twilight's moaning got louder, "Oh Fluttershy, Fluttershy, Fluttershy!"

Fluttershy ran her tongue up in her as far as she could and intensified her sucking. She began to rub Twilight's flanks with her wings, right where her cutie mark was causing Twilight to shake. She was screaming, Oh Fluttershy, I'm gonna cum....I'm gonna cum....OH FLUTTERSHY!"

As she screamed this Fluttershy felt a flood of sweet nectar flood her mouth. While Cadence was incredibly sweet, never before had she tasted anything so sweet. She pulled her face away and crawled back on top of Twilight. She looked down at her with those blue eyes and asked, "Twilight, did you like it?"

Twilight began to tear up as she pulled Fluttershy down to her and began to kiss her. She had long suppressed the feelings she had for Fluttershy for a long time out of fear what everypony else would think but she could no longer do that. She broke the kiss and said, "I can't hide my feelings anymore, I love you Fluttershy. I truly love you!"

Fluttershy began to cry tears of joy. She cried, "I love you too Twilight! I have loved you for so long." She collapsed down onto Twilight's torso and continued, "I was so sad when you got with Flash Sentry, I was sad, angry and jealous."

Twilight began to stroke her wing through Fluttershy's mane and replied, "It's ok sweetie. I would have done the same thing."

Fluttershy asked, "Twilight, if you truly love me, why did you hook up with Flash Sentry?"

This question caused Twilight a lot of sadness as she realized that she had thrown so much of her life away over a pony she felt obliged to be with. She cried, "I felt pressured when he helped me up and took me out to dinner. He was charming and nice and I just lost my rational thought."

Fluttershy replied, "I could tell from the start. That is why I was so opposed to you marrying him."

Twilight said, "Fluttershy, I know we have been friends for a long time and now we have expressed our true feelings I want to ask something. I know it seems really quick and all but would you marry me?"

When Fluttershy heard this she felt more happiness than she ever did before in her life. She exclaimed, "Yes! Yes! Yes, I'll marry you Twilight!" She calmed down for a minute and asked, "Twilight, what about Flash Sentry, what is going to happen with him."

Upon realizing her love for Fluttershy Twilight realized something. She realized that so many ponies had heard the same thing about Flash and his bad behavior that everything has to be true. She realized that he was a heavy drinker, an irresponsible gambler, a lazy, disobedient guard and that he solicited prostitutes. She realized that she was blinded by his charm. She smiled, "Oh you'll see honey. The wedding will start normally but when I get asked if I take him as my husband I will throw the ring at him, say no and beg Celestia to marry us on the spot!"

Fluttershy kissed Twilight and replied, "Oh that will be so wonderful!" She began to snicker and continued, "And the look on Flash's face when Celestia marries us instead will be PRICELESS!"

Twilight looked at the clock and realized that dawn was not that far away. She said, "Fluttershy, we better get back to bed! We can't have anypony suspecting anything happened."

Fluttershy replied, "I know honey. See you soon!"

Fluttershy left Twilight's room full of happiness and glee. It seemed as though she would finally have the pony she loved most as her wife. When she returned to the room where her and her friends were sleeping, she heard three ponies snoring, which meant that one of them was awake. As Fluttershy got laid down in her bed she heard a voice ask, "Fluttershy darling, where were you?"

It was Rarity. While she was a bit scared she knew that out of all of them she would be the most understanding if she was to tell her the truth, which she didn't plan on doing. She replied, "Uhm....Well....I was in the restroom."

Rarity whispered, "For FOUR hours?"

Fluttershy replied, "Well um...."

Rarity continued, "I know what you were really up to Fluttershy."

Fluttershy asked, "But how? All four of you were asleep when I left."

Rarity replied, "I was faking my snoring. I had a feeling something was up so after you left I followed you and stood out around the corner of Twilight's room."

Fluttershy asked, "So you know about our encounter? You know about me seducing her?"

Rarity extended her hoof out for a hoofbump and replied, "Yes and I am hoping she is not lying. I think her hooking up with him is a mistake and if she marries you instead, you will have saved Ponyville."

Fluttershy asked, "Really?"

Rarity replied, "Really! I saw how we was at the dinner last night. I heard everything he said." She heard Rainbow tossing and turning and realized that they better try to get a bit of sleep. She continued, "We better try to get some rest. I don't want anypony else knowing about what you did."

Fluttershy nodded and they tried to get back to sleep. While it was relatively easy for Rarity, getting back to sleep was tough for Fluttershy. She was so happy that she was able to have such a wonderful experience with Twilight, she was looking forward to the ceremony where Twilight would be marrying her instead of Flash Sentry and most of all, she was looking forward to a wonderful future with Twilight.

Morning Discussions

The following morning the sun shone into Twilight's room. She was able to get a tiny bit of sleep after her visit from Fluttershy but not much. She sat up and wiped the sleep out of her eyes. She glared at the sun and said, "Ugh......couldn't Celestia have waited a bit longer?"

Like she would when she was her student, Celestia came to Twilight's room to get her up. She said, "Twilight, I thought you would be up sooner. Today is your big day!"

Twilight smiled, "I know, I just couldn't sleep much last night."

Luckily for both Twilight and Fluttershy, nopony other than Rarity knew about their tryst so everything would go according to plan. Celestia said, "Well we should probably get down to breakfast. All of us, especially you, have a long day ahead of us."

Twilight nodded and headed down to the dining hall to find all the other princesses, her brother and her parents there. There was an empty chair between Fluttershy and Cadence so Twilight sat there. Fluttershy and Twilight touched wings and smiled at one another, which brought a bit of suspicion from Luna. Luna asked, "Twilight, Fluttershy, what wast that about?"

Twilight knew that she had to lie both for her and Fluttershy. She replied, "That is just Fluttershy's way of saying 'congratulations' to me. I know she was very opposed to me marrying Flash Sentry at first but now she is happy for me."

Everypony knew it was a lie. Luna gave Fluttershy an odd look and asked, "Fluttershy, why didst thou change thy opinion of Twilight getting married?"

Fluttershy replied, "Well I just don't want her to have any more stress than she already has."

Rarity added, "I too had my concerns about Twilight marrying him but I realize that whatever makes Twilight happy is most important."

Twilight could tell that she did have two friends that were supportive of her while everypony else, including her family, was not impressed with her choice. She replied, "Thank you girls. I know everything will be just fine."

Luna mumbled, "Give it a month and thou will wish thou had never even heard of Trash Sentry."

Twilight asked, "What did you say Luna?"

Luna repeated herself loud enough that everypony could make out what she said. While everypony else at the table laughed at what she called him, Twilight pretended to be mad, after all she couldn't just give away her true plans. She glared at her and sneered, "Oh that's so funny I forgot to laugh."

The rest of their breakfast went on normally as they dropped discussions of the wedding. While it seemed like Fluttershy and Rarity supported Twilight, Luna could tell something was up but was not about to tell everypony. Once they finished their meal they headed off to get ready for the ceremony. In the throne room Luna and Celestia were discussing their concerns. Celestia asked, "Luna, is it just me or does it seem like Rarity and Fluttershy are up to something? They were so opposed to this but now they support it? Something doesn't seem right."

Luna replied, "It doesn't. We can't help but wonder if they have some sort of plan to sabotage this wedding, if they have plans to get Twilight to see the real Flash Sentry?"

Celestia asked, "How the hay would they do that? I doubt they have any pictures of him engaging in activities that Twilight would not approve of. Besides, he has her so brainwashed that even if she were to see him soliciting a prostitute, that she would simply think she was imagining things."

Luna sighed, "Thou are right. She is beyond hope."

In her room Twilight was biting her hooves. She was not nervous about how she was going to dump Flash at the altar and hopefully marry Fluttershy, she was more concerned with how everypony else would react. Her mare of honor, Princess Cadence walked in and saw this. She asked, "Twilight, why are you so nervous?"

Twilight replied, "I'm just worried about how everypony will react when I do what I plan on doing."

Cadence asked, "What are you planning on doing?"

Twilight replied, "Well last night Fluttershy paid me a little visit. Well let's just say that she showed me the best time of my life and I finally realized that she loves me and the love for her that I have hidden away for so long finally came to the surface." She went from being nervous to being giddy and continued, "I can't wait to marry Fluttershy! The reaction on Flash's face will be priceless when I dump him at the altar."

Cadence's look of concern changed to one of pure happiness. While she hoped that Fluttershy showing Twilight the time of her life would cause her to choose her over Flash, she never imagined that Twilight would not only want to leave Flash, but to dump him at the altar in front of many ponies, causing him a great amount of heartache and embarrassment. She embraced Twilight and asked, "So how do you plan on doing this?"

Twilight got more giddy as she continued, "Well I will walk up to the altar like every other bride would. Celestia will go through all the formalities and then when she asks whether we will accept one another in all the good and bad times, yadah...yadah...yadah... He will say yes naturally, then she will ask me. I will motion for Fluttershy to come up by me. I will throw the ring on my horn at Flash and yell HELL NO, grab Fluttershy, say I will take her and then kiss her passionately."

Cadence laughed, "That will be quite the sight. I know everypony will be happy!" Cadence broke the embrace and continued, "Well we better all get dressed. The ceremony will be here before we know it."

Twilight nodded and began to get dressed. In the VIP room that Twilight's friends were staying in they were all getting dressed but things just didn't seem to be right with Fluttershy and Rarity and Applejack was going to find out. She asked, "Fluttershy, Rarity, at first y'all were so opposed to Twilight getting married, especially you Fluttershy. What's with the change?"

Fluttershy replied, "Well um...."

Applejack asked, "Wait a minute, y'all know something the rest of us don't, don't you? Did Twilight change her mind?"

Fluttershy replied, "No. We have just decided to be happy for Twilight. We don't want to lose her friendship."

Rainbow rolled her eyes and said, "Yeah, whatever you say Fluttershy. I know something is up."

Pinkie added, "And whatever it is will wind up in us throwing a party!"

Fluttershy gave Pinkie a smile knowing that would be the case. She knew that she would not have to worry about the princesses being upset over this and she certainly wouldn't have to worry about Twilight's family being upset. The only thing she would have to worry about would be Flash's reaction. She knew though that if he went after her that there would be four Alicorns to stop him in his tracks and in the case of Luna, probably kill him.

Over at Blueblood's castle things were rather stress free but in his true form, Blueblood was not overly talkative towards the pony he considered a commoner. Flash asked, "So your Majesty, what do I do with Twilight after I am married to her."

Blueblood rolled his eyes as he thought that was the stupidest question he ever heard. He asked in return, "That is not any of my business. I do not know what COMMONERS do after they get married!" He sighed in disgust and continued, "Just don't try to reproduce, we don't need more commoners in our royal system. Now come on, let's get this over with. I don't want any more of my valuable time wasted than is already being wasted."

Flash followed the prince over towards the main castle with mixed emotions. While he was ecstatic that he would finally be married to Twilight and get to do what he has dreamed of for years with her, he was nervous because he knew that nopony close to Twilight really cared for him. All he could do is hope that they would all respect Twilight's decision in choosing him and not somepony they would deem more worthy.

Twilight's Wedding

Finally the time had come, the time that both Twilight and Flash have been anticipating for so long. While ponies were beginning to get seated, Celestia and Luna could tell that most of them were not there to celebrate a wedding. They both could see that they had their saddle bags filled with eggs that were most likely rotten. The two princesses obviously knew what they would be used for and had absolutely no problems with seeing a crappy guardspony and a princess dumb enough to marry him getting pelted with rotten eggs. Luna just gave the increasing crowd a smile to let them know that they approved of their plans.

Flash and Blueblood arrived at the castle and headed to the throne room where the ceremony would be held. Seeing Blueblood usually made Celestia and Luna cringe enough as it is, but seeing Flash Sentry with him made it all the worse. Blueblood decided to at least try to be civil. "Aunt Celestia, Aunt Luna, how are you doing today?"

Celestia motioned for Blueblood to step closer. She whispered to him, "Terrible. Seeing Twilight marry that idiot sickens me."

Blueblood replied, "She may be a commoner princess but I would not think she would have such low standards and it sickens me that he will become a prince."

Luna whispered, "If thou feels this way about him, why art thou being his best stallion."

Blueblood replied, "So maybe I can improve my public image. Most ponies hate me but maybe if I am there for a pony in his time of need, they will like me better."

Luna laughed, "Blueblood, by thou doing this thou hast most likely worsened thy public image. Thou knows that nopony likes Flash!"

Flash heard a bit of what they were saying. He interrupted, "What was that Luna? You think nopony likes me?"

Luna stood in front of Flash, spread her wings wide and snapped, "That is either Princess Luna or your Majesty to thee private. If thou wishes for us to announce EVERYTHING thou hast done when thou thinks nopony is watching during thy ceremony, thou will show thy Princess of the Night maximum respect."

Celestia too stood in front of him and added, "And don't think I will try to stop her. I want you exposed as badly as she does. I'm only doing this because it is part of my royal duties. If it weren't for that, you wouldn't have anypony to marry you."

Blueblood motioned for Flash to step back and added, "Now step back and show my aunts respect or I will leave and you will have nopony to hand you the rings."

Celestia laughed, "Yeah and then with the way tradition is here in Equestria, you won't even be able to get married!"

For the first time in his life Blueblood actually felt like he belonged as he and his aunts were laughing over Flash's situation and how much Flash was depending on him. Flash just stood there with a scowl on his face hoping that this ceremony would hurry up and start.

While Flash was waiting for the ceremony to begin Twilight, her bridesmares and mare of honor were getting ready. Rarity and Fluttershy were inspecting Twilight's dress to make sure it looked perfect. Fluttershy asked, "What do you think Rarity, does her dress look perfect?"

Rarity replied, "Hmmm.....well the purple accents I put on the dress do bring out her eyes so that should make her all the more appealing to the one she will be hooking up with."

Rainbow was suspicious after hearing this. She asked, "More appealing to the one she will be hooking up with? You act like she is going to leave Flash and get with somepony else."

Rarity replied, "Well...I, you see....."

Twilight interrupted, "It just came out of her mouth wrong Rainbow. It's no big deal, I know it brings out my eyes."

Cadence added, "And you look absolutely beautiful in it Twilight. I know he will probably be in such a daze with your beauty that he will drop to the floor."

Just as she finished saying this there was a knock on the door. It was one of the guardsponies. He said, "Alright everypony, the ceremony starts in a few minutes. Get in your places, we don't want to keep Celestia waiting."

They headed towards the throne room waiting for the music to begin. The trumpets began to play as the bridesmares walked down the aisle. Fluttershy would stand on the outside once they reached the altar so that when Twilight motioned for her to come up to her, she would be able to do so more easily. Once the bridesmares were all lined up by the altar, Twilight and Cadence began to walk down the aisle. Flash had a huge smile as he watched Twilight walking down the aisle in that lavender gown. Despite the fact that nopony except Twilight cared for him, he was truly happy.

Finally Twilight and Cadence arrived at the altar. Twilight stood facing Flash while Cadence stood by her side. Celestia couldn't help but have a disapproving look on her face as she began to address the crowd.

"Mares and gentlestallions, we are gathered here today to witness the union of Princess Twilight Sparkle and PRIVATE Trash...oops, I mean Flash Sentry." The crowd chuckled a bit when Celestia screwed the name up. Once they quieted down she continued, "They have been through many ups and downs but their love has endured. Yes it is rare for a princess to even mingle with a pony as lowly ranked as Flash Sentry, much less hook up with them, but it happened." Quietly after that she added, "Unfortunately."

Celestia looked over at Blueblood and continued, "May we have the rings?"

Blueblood gave Celestia the rings and she continued, "PRIVATE Flash Sentry, do you take this mare, Princess Twilight Sparkle to be your lawfully wedded wife to have and hold through better and worse, through sickness and health and not until death you will part?"

Flash Sentry took the ring and placed it on Twilight's horn as he replied, "I do your Majesty."

Celestia gave Twilight a slight scowl as she continued, "And do you Princess Twilight Sparkle take this stallion, Private Trash...oops, I mean Flash Sentry to be your lawfully wedded husband to have and hold through better and worse, through sickness and health and not until death will you part?"

Twilight looked at Celestia with a smile and asked, "Your Majesty, may I have one of my bridesmares present with me while I answer that question?"

Celestia was puzzled as to why Twilight would need a bridesmare present with her while she answered the question but allowed her to do so. Twilight looked back and asked, "Fluttershy, would you join me?"

Fluttershy walked up to Twilight where they put their wings around one another. Flash saw this and smiled as he figured that it was just his bride sharing a special moment with one of her friends. Twilight continued, "Ok, back to that question." She levitated the rings off of her horn and threw them at Flash and added, "No, I do not take Flash Sentry as my husband. I know now that all the rumors about him are true."

Flash shouted, "WHAT? You actually believe those idiotic rumors?"

Twilight levitated a rotten egg out of one of the guest's saddlebags and fired it at Flash, hitting him in the face. She replied, "Many ponies have mentioned the rumors about you, I have heard about your incompetence, disobedience and laziness, I have heard about your excessive drinking, I have heard about how you will wager entire checks in poker games on hands that have no chance of winning, I have heard about you soliciting prostitutes and I have even heard that the engagement ring you got me was stolen when YOU held up the jewelry store! You sicken me private, you are pathetic, truly pathetic."

Celestia gasped, "He's done what?"

Twilight continued, "For so long I refused to believe all these rumors were true but last night when Fluttershy paid me a visit and comforted me during my time of need, I realized that I could do better, I realized that the rumors about you were true and most of all, I realized that you are not the one for me." She gazed into Fluttershy's eyes and continued, "I realized that Fluttershy is the one for me. The love I have had hidden for her for so long finally came to the surface." She gave Fluttershy a kiss and finished, "Fluttershy, will you marry me? Will you make me the happiest mare in the universe?"

The crowd looked on in shock seeing what was happening while Flash Sentry began to cry. He cried, "Twilight, how could you?"

He began to head towards the couple when Celestia shouted, "Guards, seize him!"

Flash was quickly subdued by higher ranking guards and was forced into a corner in the room. Fluttershy gave him a sinister smile as if she were saying, "Look what I have!"

Fluttershy interrupted, "I don't mean to interrupt you Twilight but my answer to your question is yes. Yes I will marry you!"

Twilight and Fluttershy began to kiss passionately while the room erupted into cheers of pure joy. Even the normally snobbish Blueblood was jumping around more like Pinkie and cheering in glee. Celestia finally raised her wings and lowered them, causing the room to go quiet. Celestia asked, "Twilight, Fluttershy, do you wish for me to marry you now or do you wish to wait until another day to be married."

Twilight replied, "I would like for you to marry us now."

Fluttershy added, "Uhm...if it is ok with you.....I would like it if you could marry us now too."

Celestia replied, "Well come up to the altar so we may do the vows."

Fluttershy and Twilight headed to the altar and faced one another with loving smiles. Celestia began, "Mares and gentlestallions, today we are gathered to witness the union of a TRULY LOVING COUPLE, Princess Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy. It is obvious that their love for one another is strong and that their desire to be with one another is infinite." Celestia paused and asked, "Is there anypony here who objects to these two mares getting married."

Flash shouted, "I object!"

Before he could say anything else Fluttershy and Twilight, in unison shouted, "SHUT THE BUCK UP! NOPONY CARES WHAT YOU THINK!"

Celestia smiled and started, "Fluttershy, do you take this mare, Princess Twilight Sparkle to be your lawfully wedded wife to have and hold through better and worse, through sickness and health and not until death you will part?"

Fluttershy replied, "I do your Majesty."

Celestia continued, "And do you Princess Twilight Sparkle take this mare, Fluttershy, to be your lawfully wedded wife to have and hold through better and worse, through sickness and health and not until death will you part?"

Twilight replied, "I do your Majesty."

Celestia said, "By the power invested in me, Princess Celestia of Canterlot, I now pronounce you wife and wife. You may now kiss."

Fluttershy and Twilight began to kiss passionately as the crowd again erupted in cheers. Twilight's other bridesmares, with the exception of Rarity, were in a state of shock. Never did they imagine that Twilight would actually leave Flash for Fluttershy, much less do so in the way that she did. Rainbow looked over at her friends and said, "I can't believe it! I can't believe Twilight came to her senses!"

Twilight and Fluttershy headed towards the balcony, followed by her bridesmares. As they reached the edge of the balcony a crowd was waiting. Before coming out, the crowd was ready to begin booing as they expected Twilight to come out with Flash but when they saw a yellow pegasus mare by Twilight's side instead, their mood changed to one of anger to one of happiness.

Celestia walked up and stood by the newlyweds' side. She announced, "For the very first time, I present to you Princess Twilight Sparkle and Princess Fluttershy!"

The crowd began to cheer wildly upon hearing the announcement. Fluttershy looked at her new wife and asked, "Did I hear that right? P-Princess Fluttershy? I'm a princess now?"

Twilight gave her a loving look and replied, "Yes sweetie, you are a princess now."

Fluttershy asked, "B-but what do I do? I don't even know what a princess is supposed to do."

Twilight replied, "I'm still growing into the role myself. We will learn from one another's mistakes and will share our rule over the Ponyville region."

Fluttershy was in a state of shock and happiness realizing that not only had her dream of being Twilight's wife had come true, but also something she never expected, becoming a princess.

Things were not going so well for Flash Sentry as he sat there curled in a ball in the throne room on the floor crying over what had happened. Soon the guests began to surround him like a pack of wolves, cornering him. They began to point their hooves at him and laugh. He cried out, "How could you laugh at me like this? I just got dumped at the altar in favor of another mare. How could you be so cruel?"

The crowd did not answer him. Instead they began to throw rotten eggs at him. The unicorns used so much energy in their throws that they left bruises on him and caused him to cry out in pain. Finally after ten minutes the supply of eggs had been exhausted and the crowd dispersed. All that remained in the throne room was an emotionally broken Flash Sentry, covered in rotten eggs and questioning his future. One thing he did know was that he wanted to do something to escape this humiliation and hopefully never have to see Twilight again.

A Flashy Meltdown

A couple hours after the ceremony was over, Flash Sentry, who was basically having an emotional meltdown over what happened decided to pay a visit to one of his favorite places in Canterlot, the local tavern. He had never bothered to wash the rotten eggs off of himself so when he went in everypony started to gag over the smell. Cold Brew, the bartender gagged, "Ugh, what the hay is that smell?" He then looked over at Flash and saw that he was covered in eggs. He asked, "Flash Sentry, could you go and wash up before you come in here?"

Flash slammed his hoof into the floor and shouted, "No! I'm having the worst day of my life and I just need a little escape."

Cold Brew growled, "No need to be so grumpy." He led Flash to a door that led to the basement. He continued, "There is a shower down there for customers who vomit all over themselves. Go and wash up before you come back up here."

Flash was appalled by the way the bartender, who has been so good to him for so long, was treating him like this. He stormed down to the basement and took a long, hot shower to wash the stench of rotten eggs off of himself. Once he was done he headed back upstairs where he was greeted much more warmly by the bartender. He asked, "Flash, do you feel better?"

Flash replied, "In one way yes but in another way no."

Cold Brew asked, "What do you mean 'in another way no?'"

Flash began to sob, "Because I was dumped at the altar today by the pony I was going to marry."

Cold Brew asked, "Oh, you were supposed to marry Princess Twilight today weren't you? What happened?"

Flash slammed his hoof into the floor and screamed, "I was supposed to marry her but then she decides to believe all these stupid rumors everypony has made up about me so she decides to marry one of her bridesmares instead."

Cold Brew gasped, "Seriously? She married one of her bridesmares? I never knew she swung that way."

Flash lowered his head to the table and sobbed, "Apparently she does. She said that this pegasus named Fluttershy is so much better than me. Why I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't had a thing going for quite some time." He kicked the bar and yelled, "Twilight played me, she did all this just so she could make me look like a joke at the altar."

Cold Brew replied, "I'm sorry about that Flash. Is there anything I can do to help you."

Flash ordered, "I need a drink, give me some vodka."

Cold Brew sighed, "I take it you want me to add it to your tab?"

Flash replied, "Yes, that would be nice."

Cold Brew gave Flash a bottle of vodka and he began to guzzle it. His actions had drawn the attention of the other customers and like most everypony else in Canterlot, they did not care for him one bit. At first they were chuckling a bit when he yelled, "Stop it! Don't laugh at my stress like this!"

The other patrons found it rather humorous that he was guzzling his drink like it was water. They began to chant, "Chug, chug, chug, chug!"

Flash began to drink at a more heavy pace and in a couple of minutes he had downed an entire bottle. He looked at Cold Brew and ordered, "More!"

Cold Brew replied, "Flash Sentry, one bottle of vodka is quite a bit. Are you sure you want more?"

Flash shouted, "Yes I want more. I wouldn't have asked had I not wanted it."

Cold Brew sighed and handed him another bottle. He sighed, "Well if you get to the point where you're too drunk to even walk out of here, don't go saying I didn't warn you."

Flash grunted and began to guzzle the next bottle as everypony else in the tavern continued to chant, "Chug, chug, chug, chug!"

To everypony's surprise he had not fallen off his seat yet. Yes he was drunk beyond belief but he had not passed out. Flash said, "Cold Bew, I want a turd bolt."

While everypony else laughed over his drunken speech Cold Brew was more concerned. He said, "Flash Sentry, I am sorry but I will not let you have any more. I don't know if you can handle a third bottle."

Flash screamed, "Fine, maybe sumpiney else will give me more."

Cold Brew sighed as Flash flew out the door, slamming face first into a neighboring building. He shouted, "Don't worry abut me, I'll be fine."

While he had initially wanted to just leave and never have to see Twilight again, he decided that maybe he should crash the reception. He said to himself, "I'll teach dose beachy pwincesses a leshon! I'll make dere respeshon a liver nightmoor."

He flew towards the palace where the reception was taking place. He crashed into a couple other buildings on the way but finally reached his destination. He crash landed in the center of the courtyard, right in front of Twilight and Fluttershy. He looked up at them and shouted, "Twilit, you bits, how could dis mare be biter than me?"

Twilight shouted, "Flash Sentry, what the hay are you doing here?" She saw the horrendously drunken state that he was in and continued, "The rumors about you are horribly underestimated. I know everypony said you were a heavy drinker but I never once thought you drank this bad." She pulled Fluttershy close and kissed her. She continued, "You know Flash, I'm so glad I realized everything about you was right. Fluttershy is infinitely better than you!"

Flash began to sob and Fluttershy sneered, "Oh poor widdle Fwashy, hims can't stand the fact that Twilight loves a good, sexy pony, not an ugly, nasty drunk!"

Flash was angered by her comment. He stood up on all fours and threw a hoof towards Fluttershy but missed horribly. He fell flat on his face and everypony began to laugh at him. Luna picked him up with her magic and shook her head. She held him up to her and snarled, "Flash Sentry, thou hast a lot of nerve to come and crash Twilight and Fluttershy's reception."

Celestia came over and added, "Flash Sentry, so you finally decide to come and show everypony the true Flash Sentry huh?"

Cadence added, "Wow, you're even worse than I ever imagined."

Flash shouted, "Sut up, I hat all of you. Curse you Twilit Spackle! Curse you Flootersit. I hope you all die mishabel debts!"

Luna released him and laughed, "Thou know something Flash, thou art an embarrassment to Equestria. Thou art an embarrassment to the guard. Thou art an embarrassment to thyself."

Flash yelled, "Buck you Woota. I'm the bost gerdspiny ever!"

Twilight yelled, "Would you just shut up and leave us alone already?"

Fluttershy added, "Just go home private. Nopony likes you, nopony will ever like you!"

Flash flew straight up to where he was probably 200 feet above the courtyard. He yelled, "You want me to lave, fine!" He began to sob, "Gudbe kewel werld, i hat you and curse you! Buck all of you, buck this wold, good risdenze all of you!"

Flash continued to just float above the courtyard when Twilight finally had enough. She shouted, "If you're going to kill yourself just do it already."

Fluttershy screamed, "We're sick of your damn whining!"

Flash turned himself upside down, closed his wings to his side and began to plummet to the ground. He was sobbing loudly as he was falling. He finally realized that everything he had done led to him being rejected at the altar and realized that perhaps he shouldn't end it all, that maybe he should leave but by the time he realized this, it was too late. He hit the ground headfirst, causing his head to crack open and brains to go flying everywhere. Everypony got covered in blood but the only two that were distraught were Rarity and Blueblood. "My dress! It is ruined!" exclaimed Rarity

"Eww....I just had myself groomed!" shouted Blueblood

While most everypony was a bit upset about their clothes getting blood on them, Fluttershy was not upset at all, she was laughing at the mess that was once Flash Sentry. She yelled, "Cleanup in courtyard one!"

Quickly a couple of unicorn guards came in to handle the corpse. One of them asked, "Princess Celestia, what do you want us to do with the body?"

Celestia replied, "Take it to the Everfree Forest, maybe the timberwolves will eat it. A corpse is an easy meal, right?" Celestia suddenly realized that with as much alcohol that he had consumed, any creature that would eat his corpse may die. She continued, "Guards, forget taking him to the forest, just go throw the body in the dump."

The guards nodded and hauled Flash away. As they headed off Luna laughed, "Well, now we can call him Trash Sentry and it will be the truth!"

As the guardsponies hauled the body off one of them commented, "You know, this might surprise some but I'm actually going to miss Flash."

The other guard asked, "Why? Why in Equestria would you miss that loser?"

The guard replied, "Because he was the one I always won so much money from playing poker."

The other guard laughed as he remembered that Flash was the world's worst poker player and said, "Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that. Well I guess you'll have to step up your skills because nopony is as bad as he was."

Finally the most hated pony in Canterlot was no more. While everypony was happy to see him gone, it was the princesses who were especially happy. Celestia knew that he was a lousy guard, Luna knew of his despicable off-duty behavior, Cadence realized that the guard would be better off with him, Twilight was happy that she wouldn't have to put up with him stalking her and the newly crowned Princess Fluttershy was happy that she was able to get Twilight to realize her love for her and in the process, wiped out the only pony that was more hated than Blueblood.

A Tense Evening

After the practice ceremony everypony sat down for supper. It felt odd having Prince Blueblood, Flash Sentry's best stallion, eating with everypony else as normally he eats in his own palace. While Twilight wished that she could sit next to her fiance, it is tradition in Equestria that the bride and groom do not sit near one another during the dinner the night before the wedding, that all the males sit on one side of the table and the females on the other.

Celestia glared at Flash and asked, "So Flash, what sort of plans do you have with Twilight once you are married?"

Flash replied, "Well she will be treated like more of a queen than she already is. I will make sure that nopony ever threatens her and best of all I will be able to spend time with her instead of having to be part of the guard."

Shining Armor sat there thinking, "Yeah right. You'll just continue to drink and gamble your money away."

Luna asked, "So Twilight, are thou going to let him have any say in what happens since he will be a prince or will thou remain in control of the Ponyville region?"

Twilight replied, "Well I........."

Flash interrupted, "We have discussed this and she has decided that we will take a fifty-fifty approach on everything."

Everypony's jaw, even Blueblood's, dropped open. This was something that was unheard of, somepony interrupting another pony during the post-practice meal, especially a princess. Everyone at the table glared at Flash and he knew that he had dug himself into a hole. He continued, "Oh, I'm sorry. I was just so excited that we were going to be doing things like that I just couldn't help but say it."

With him doing this, EVERYPONY, except Twilight, knew that Flash would probably take power that was not his and turn Twilight into his slave within a month or two of being married. Velvet asked, "Oh is that so Flash? Are you going to interrupt Twilight like this all the time?"

Crescent asked, "Are you going to control her?" His glare intensified as he continued, "By the way you are acting I am betting you will."

Twilight interrupted, "Mom, dad, he's not going to do anything like that. Like I've told you many times before, Flash loves me."

The rest of the supper was rather tense and quiet as everypony simply wanted to hurry up and get the meal finished. After supper Flash and Blueblood headed to his palace. Blueblood was not impressed with Flash's behavior. He snapped, "Listen private, do you want to lose her? Do you want her to see the real you?"

Flash replied, "Well no, I didn't mean to interrupt her in that setting. It is just my nature to do that when I'm excited."

Blueblood sighed, "Well you better change. Twilight Sparkle is a commoner but even she will not put up with you constantly interrupting her. You have know idea how embarrassed I would be if she was to abandon you at the altar, you causing me to waste my valuable time."

Flash replied, "Alright, you've made your point. Now let's just get some rest."

Blueblood had heard about Flash's off-duty problems. He said, "Not yet private. I want to know if what I have heard is true. I want to know if the royal family will be including low class scum."

Flash snapped, "Low class scum? How dare you say that about me!"

Blueblood asked, "So private, are the rumors about you true? Are you a heavy drinker? Do you wager whole checks in poker games? Are you lazy and disobedient and have you ever solicited any prostitutes?"

Flash replied, "Well....uh."

Blueblood slammed his hoof into the floor. He screamed, "You will tell me! If you do not I will tell my Aunt Celestia that you admitted to it all and she will tell Twilight. Then she will flush you down the toilet like the shit you are!"

Flash hung his head in defeat. He replied, "Yes your Majesty, all of it is true. I have been cutting back on the drinking and gambling and it has been several months since I solicited a prostitute."

Blueblood said, "I should have figured as much. I should have known right away that a lowly private would engage in such activities. You better be glad I'll be by your side, otherwise you would have NOPONY for you at all."

Flash broke down into an angry cry, "Buck you Blueblood! I don't want you as my best stallion anymore. The rumors about you being an asshole are true!"

Blueblood scoffed, "Oh and who will be there by your side? You do need someone to hand you the rings you know. It's either that or you'll look more pathetic than you already are tomorrow."

Flash was paranoid that if he did not have anypony to hand him the rings, that he may not even be able to marry Twilight. He replied, "I'm sorry your Majesty. I do hope you will still be my best stallion."

Blueblood said, "Well alright then." He glared at Flash and continued, "I promise I won't tell anypony about your problems but watch your back, there are many ponies close to Twilight who despise you. I don't think a single one of them would have any problems or regrets if they killed you."

Flash replied, "Point taken your Majesty. Thanks for the warning."

In the main palace there was a lot of concern amongst the ponies and Twilight could sense it. Luna was the first to approach her, "Twilight, what didst thou think of Trash, we mean Flash Sentry interrupting thee when thou wast speaking?"

Twilight dd not like the name Luna called her fiance. She snapped, "Trash? I know you hate him but could you please call him by his name?" She calmed down and continued, "Oh he was just excited, it doesn't bother me any. I know he will stop doing that once we are married, he is just nervous."

Celestia put her hoof up to her face in disgust. She just couldn't fathom how the pony who was her star student could be so stupid and oblivious to Flash's actions. She stood before Twilight and said, "Twilight Sparkle, I see what he did as very disrespectful. Are you 100% sure you want to marry him?"

Twilight broke down into tears as she knew that nopony wanted her to marry him. She cried, "Yes now please just drop it, just be happy for me, ok?"

Twilight rushed off to her room and Twilight's parents headed home. The other ponies remained in the dining hall with a sick feeling in their stomachs, all except for Fluttershy who was confident that tomorrow would be her big day, not Flash's. She yawned and said, "I'm thinking we should all hit the hay. We have a busy day tomorrow."

Everypony else nodded and they headed to their sleeping chambers. The VIP room that the bridesmares were sleeping in was not too far away from Twilight's room, which would work in Fluttershy's advantage. Fluttershy's friends were concerned about her nonchalant behavior. Rainbow asked, "Fluttershy, didn't you see how Flash treated Twilight tonight? Why aren't you worried about her?"

Fluttershy replied, "I just have this gut feeling that Twilight will finally realize tonight that Flash is not the one for her and will reject him at the altar tomorrow."

Applejack sighed, "Well let's hope y'all are right Fluttershy. Ah won't count on it though, he has her brainwashed."

Fluttershy shut off the light and they all turned in for the night. Fluttershy was a bit nervous, but it was not whether or not she would be able to seduce Twilight. What worried her the most was getting out and getting back in unnoticed.
