I've RETURNED!! How long has it been? Years maybe? That's what happens when you get interested into other cartoons and video games. Anyways, I wanted to get this out there and I hope you guys like what I wrote after such a long time.
Crash to Insanity.
Chapter 1: Crash to Insanity
2009-Los Angeles
In the rustle and bustle of East Los Angeles during an early summer evening, a lone boy age 18 was walking under one of the various free ways to a party in celebration of the graduation ceremony he would talk part in the following day. His name was Joesph and he had been a citizen of LA for all his life but the streets he walked down now were unfamiliar to him. Joesph him self was your typical young adult in both attitude and look. Black hair he combed to the side everyday, slight hint of five o'clock shadow and had a lean but short build.
He had lived in LA his whole life but the streets he walked were unfamiliar to him. This was ghetto country and this was no place to stop and smell the coffee. He hurried to get to the party finally arriving at the party in question. Soon he would be greeted but his fellow classmates and he would be having the most fun night in his four years of high school, or at least he thought. There were many students in the front yard that were drinking dancing and other stuff Joseph wasn't expecting to see.
A senior jock sat with two junior girls on the porch of the 2 story house the party took place at. "Hey Joey! Get in here mofo. We got Booz and all the good stuff here! C'mon we're all adults here right?" He said and drank from a bottle of beer.
"Oh it's one of those parties. Then again, what would I expect from a party in a place like this." Joseph said to himself. "And no thanks. I'll stick with water and soda and all that."
"Don't be a pussy. Have some fun!" Another guy said. Joseph was having second thoughts when suddenly...
"Joseph Delgado Mora!! Get your ass in here!" A voice called from a car in the street.
"Crap. Mom why?" He asked himself. He had no choice but to turn back. He wasn't like the party's atmosphere anyway. Better off getting an ear chew from your mom than risk getting a girl pregnant from drinking too much.
"Fucking mama's boy. You always were a total puss out." A random guy said.
"This why we never invited you to these things. Don't want your old woman screwing this up for us!" Another person said.
'Does it look like I care.' Joseph thought to himself as passed by his school mates and neared the car. Joseph didn't have too many friends. He was probably the least popular person in the entirety of his high school. But that's what happens when you're one of the smarter and only person with a sane conscience out of a bunch of kids that grew up in the more poverty ridden place in the city. He opened the door and the automatically drove off.
"What the hell were you thinking?" His mom asked. "It's too dangerous to be out here alone and that party was bad news from the start."
"I'm sorry mom. Look I was going to leave right away anyway, I saw what was going on and I'm sorry I didn't tell you anything." Joseph apologized. They drove down the empty streets toward their home.
"Then why bothering coming over here? Huh? You should've known that was going to happen."
"How did you know I was going to be there?"
"One of the other parents I was talking to on the phone said something about a party going on at that particular and I noticed you were gone." Ms.Mora shook her head. "You're always doing that. Trying to make friends in the wrong way and being too risky."
"Okay you're right I'm stupid I should've paid attention, it was wrong and I was wrong." Joseph admitted.
"It's okay son. At least your okay now. We have to get you ready for Tomorrow." Ms. Mora said with a smile. Joseph smiled as well.
They drove into an intersection and Joseph looked to his left. He went wide eyes when he saw another car coming at them. "MOM!! Look out!!" Joseph warned but too late.
"NOOOOO!" She said when suddenly
BOOM, CRASH..
An hour later.
The police and fire fighters got out to the wreck ASAP. Joseph was out of it and had a seriously leg injury. His mom wasn't so lucky. He was waking up and looked around.
"Stay down son. You don't want to strain yourself." A fire fighter said.
"Mom? Mom? Where is she?" Joseph asked. The fire fighter didn't know what to say. "What the hell happened?" He shot up and felt a surge of pain in his head as he did but he didn't care. He saw his mom, bloodied up and practically deformed on her left side. "Is she okay?" He asked...
Meanwhile in Equestria in the royal
Palace.
A young unicorn by The name Twilight Sparkle was attempting to hatch a dragon egg using her magic but to no avail. For a whole minute she struggled before giving up. "I'm sorry I wasted your time." She said as the judges wrote their verdict in their forms.
Suddenly a large boom and a bright array of colors blasted into the room surprising everyone in the room especially Twilight. Her horn shined brightly as the sudden and loud sound caused Twilight's mind to go a blaze. The dragon egg she tried to hatch finally opened revealing a small purple dragon but the magic didn't stop there. The dragon began growing until it was larger than the hall they were in. And if hat wasn't enough, a large pinkish purple portal opened directly in front of Twilight.
"Mom! No!" Joseph yelled as he attempted to approach his mom but the fire fighters stalled his advances.
"Sorry, kid. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but... Your mother is gone." One of the officials said.
Joseph's eyes began to water as he looked at his mom's corpse. He couldn't believe it, just because he wanted to go to some stupid party to impress his so called "friends".. "No..." He said "NOOOOO!!" He cried out when suddenly a portal opened below him and he fell in.
"What the hell was that!?" A police officer asked in astonishment.
"Where'd he go?!" Another person asked.
Twilight was still in shock and the magical power still engulfed the room. The portal she created was still open and out of it came Joseph now in even more shock than before.
Suddenly the power died down and everything returned to normal. Twilight calmed down and saw that her baby dragon was normal and healthy and all those who were spectating were shocked and amazed and what happened. Not to mention, the princess of the kingdom, Princess Celestia was suddenly there.she smiled at the small unicorn then looked to her right.
The human was in a fetal position groaning. Everyone had their eyes glued to him. "Did.. Did I do all this? What is it?" Twilight asked rubbing her head.
Celestia bent down on one knee and looked at the being in the ground. "Are okay young one?" She asked
Joseph removed his arms from his head and looked up at her. "Wh-what the hell?!" He said unable to comprehend what happened. "My mom, then this.... I need help.... Why?" He said with his eyes still watering. Celestia looked at him with concern.
"It's alrighty young man. Relax. I'll help you if I can." She said helping him up.
"What is he?" One of the spectators.
"Who are you?" Twilight asked. Looking up at the limping human.
"I-im Joseph a human..." He looked around. "And...and you're all... talking horses."
Celestia giggled. "Close, we're ponies." Suddenly the doors banged opened.
"Princess! Are you alright? we came as soon as..." Some guards burst in and saw Joseph. "YOU! Are you the cause of all this!?" The guard pointed at the human with a spear.
"Captain stop! He's of no harm, but he needs help. Please take him to a guest room and make sure he rests. I'll be there to see him in a few minutes." Celestia commanded guiding Joseph over the the guard who took him without question. "You'll be fine Joseph, your in good hands." He said nothing but looked down and limped with the guard supporting him. "As for you Twilight. I 'm impressed you were able to not only perform the test expertly but also managed to perform a growth spell and an ancient variation of the teleportation spell. I hope you're able and willing to attend my school because I give you personal acceptance."
Twilight's eyes widened. "YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES!!!" She jumped around with glee. "I'd love to! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!" Celestia smiled and began walking away.
"I hope to see you in a few months Twilight Sparkle." She said and looked at the judges. "Make sure to get her application ready by days end, understood?" She asked them sternly and all they could do was quickly nod. She walked out of the room and toward the room she directed the guards to take Joseph. "Now for the human."
Joseph tried to sleep in the bed but couldn't. His mind was a blaze. His mother died, he was gravely injured, he was randomly taken to another world, who knows what could happen. He just stared blankly until the door opened.
Princess Celestia closed the door behind her. "Excuse me young man." She said.
"Wh-what?" He said and looked to his side. "Wh-where am I?" He asked.
"You're in Canterlot castle. The capital of the pony country of Equestria." She said and walked to the bed and sat on the side.
"You're a real pony? But you're cartoony and colorful and, talk, two legs....the wings and horn, what are you?"
"I'm an alicorn, and here everything is colorful, a little different from where your from I see."
"H-how did you know?"
Celestia was hiding something but she didn't want it to be revealed. She instead came up with an alternate answer. "Well look at you. You're anatomy is so complicated and darker than that of most other creatures I've seen." She lied. "So what happened that have these injuries, and what was that about our mother?" She asked.
His eyes watered again. "I was going to a party I wasn't supposed to go to, my mom stopped me from going and was taking me home but..we crashed...and she's....dead...because of my stupid decision." He began sobbing.
"I'm sorry for your loss, I know what it's like to lose a loved one." She put simply.
"Why am I here?" He asked.
"The unicorn filly you saw earlier was the one who brought you here. She somehow was able to perform an ancient teleportation spell that hasn't been used since.." Celestia stopped herself. "Well, a long time. You've crossed over into a new world young man. Very rarely does that happen." She said. "If we can we'll try to find the reverse of the spell so we cans end you back, but that may not be for..." She was interrupted.
"NO! I don't..." He said sternly. "There's nothing for me there now. My mom's dead, I had no friends, my father's an asshole, and we were living the run down part of town anyway." He said and looked at her.
"Is that really what you want?" She asked.
"I want a new life.." He answered and got up slightly.
She smiled and nodded. "Very well Joseph. If that's what you wish." She got up and went toward the door. "Try and rest now. Perhaps tomorrow I can help you become a citizen and teach about the country if you wish."
"Ye-yeah.. Sure. I'd like that." He smiled. She nodded and left. Joseph laid down and thought again. 'I guess it won't be bad here. I can start a new life...only thing I'm missing is my mom....' He said and finally began drifting off to sleep.
The next morning he began learning about Equestrian culture, geography, and learned about the different species and the magic of friendship. He met Twilight and her family as she started attending Celestia's classes and made friends with her quickly as well as with with Spike.
Over the years he became well known in Equestria being the only human and all. He tried to become familiar with as may ponies as possible and tried new things. He even tried to join the royal guard but was disallowed because of him not being a pony. Celestia saw he had an urge to do something that bettered the society of Equestria so instead she began a division of the royal guard; The Non-Equine Protection Department, NEPD. Joseph was happy with his new position and enjoyed his new role in Equestria.
He was also present for the escape and reformation where he met Luna and quickly became friends with her as well, the two hit it off great and became very close. He was also there when Discord was freed and eventually reformed but rarely did the two ever talk, Discord always kept his distance from the human for some odd reason.
Now it's been 10 years (in Equestrian time). Twilight has become Princess, the Crystal kingdom was now acknowledged as a part of Equestria, and thanks to Joseph's knowledge of human technology Equestria benefited from advancement in technological development. Long story short things were good for that decade and Joseph was practically over his old life and he now had a loving mare friend, lot's of friends, and he was popular with ponies everywhere. But soon this sense of normality was about to get chaotic, and all because of a certain mint green unicorn that was totally obsessed with the idea of a world inhabited by humans.
