Darksiders: Origins
L88 Origins: Chapter 1.5
Previous ChapterA loud BOOM erupted from outside, causing me to wake from my dreamless sleep. I quickly picked myself off the ground, and ran for the window. Peering out, I saw a small circle of fire in the middle of the street. Just then, my head started to feel very light, and odd. I propped myself up against the window, and waited for the lighted feeling to fade.
Must have stood up too fast. I turned my head back to the outside, still leaning on the window, and starred at the place where the circle of fire was.
"What kind of weather is this?" I whispered, too tired to stop myself. This was a very unusual type of thunder to create a circle of fire on the ground like that. Just then, another loud BOOM of thunder erupted to the right of the other one, make the exact same circle of fire as before. "What is this?" This thunder didn't make sense. The Thunder didn't flash, or anything.
I could look directly at it, and it doesn't hurt my eyes. I looked up, seeing if I could spot the thing that could cause such a disturbance. There was nothing but dark clouds, which seemed to be glowing slightly blue. Other than that, there was nothing.
"Strange. Very strange." I whispered, again. This time, though, after I finished talking, I bit my tongue, and remained silent.
I have been sitting here for a couple hours, watching the sky, trying to see what could be causing the thunder, but, so far, I haven't seen anything, at all. Nothing to believe this was out of the ordinary for this place. That sparked a question in my head. What is this place?
Surprisingly, I haven't asked that before. Not that I can remember. I sat here for a couple of moments, thinking about it, and still no answer. Finally, after the hour of sleeplessness, I finally made the decision to head back to bed, and think about this when I'm awake. I got up, and headed back to my sleeping area.
I slumped my face into the bag, and pulled the coat over the rest of my body. I shut my eyes, and felt myself drift away into sleep.
