*knock knock*
"Spike, come on! I know you're upset, but it's been three weeks!"
Spike let's out a big sigh.
"Yes, Twilight, it has been three weeks. Three, long, painful, heartbreaking weeks"
Spike can remember those days. Those days where he thought he had it all and the day it all ended, and broke him.
It was just a normal day in Ponyville. The temperature was perfect, not too hot, not too cold. Spike was on his way to help Rarity with some dresses, as Twilight didn't need any help with her assignment. Spike got to front door and knocked. After a few seconds the door was opened by a white colt with a fancy suit on.
"Hello, Spike"
"Hello, Sir Fancy Pants"
Fancy Pants chuckled at Spike's politeness.
"Spike, I have told you it's just Fancy Pants"
Spike smiled
"Okay, Fancy Pants"
"Are you here to help Rarity with her dresses?"
Spike nodded
"Yes, I am"
Fancy Pants moved to the side and lifted up a hoof pointing the way in.
"Well, come on in"
"Thank you"
Fancy Pants closed the door behind Spike and followed him into Rarity's work room.
"Hey, Fancy Pants. Since you're here, and if Rarity doesn't mind, you can help us with the dresses"
Fancy Pants shook a hoof at Spike.
"I'm sorry to refuse your offer Spike, but I don't know much about dress making"
All of a sudden, Spike heard a soft and melodic voice from behind him.
"He may knows what looks good, but can't put his hoof on what makes it looks good"
Spike looked around to see Rarity walking in.
"Hello, Rarity"
"Hello, Spikey"
"Ready to work on some dresses?"
Rarity smiled
"Of course, I'm glad you come over today"
They started working on the dresses about 30 mins in, Fancy Pants stood up.
"Oh, Rarity, I must go to Canterlot, I owe Fleur some bits, from a while back"
Rarity stopped working for a minute.
"Is she ever going to leave you alone"
"I promise this is the final payment I owe her"
Rarity rolled her eyes, but then smiled.
"Okay. How long will you staying?"
"Just a few days"
They both started to walked to door.
"Spike, take a break"
Rarity gave Fancy Pants a hug.
"I'll see you in a few days, Rarity"
"Okay, see you"
"Bye"
Rarity closed the door behind her.
"Spike! Where are you?"
A faint voice came from the kitchen.
"I'm in the kitchen, just getting a glass of water"
Rarity made her way into the kitchen. To see Spike stretching over the sink to get some water and she smiled.
Aww, he's so cute, when he does that
Spike finished his drink and turned around to see Rarity smiling.
"Happy, Rarity?" Spike chuckled
"Of course! Can't you tell?"
They both started laughing.
"Okay, I think we should get back to work"
"That's true, aren't we almost finished"
Rarity nodded
"That is true"
Spike smiled and made his way back into the work room
Do I? I can’t tell
Rarity walks back into the work room and starts working on the last dress, while Spike helped her.
After about an hour they were finally done. They both took a deep breath and step back to look at the new set.
“Looks great, doesn’t it, Rarity?”
“Yeah, the new set is good”
Rarity tone sounded less melodic than usual, Spike picked up on this.
“Is everything okay, Rarity?”
Rarity looked at Spike.
“Yes, of course it is. Why wouldn’t it be?”
“Well, you sound very down”
Rarity looked at the floor.
"I guess I just have a lot of stuff on my mind"
Spike put a claw on Rarity's shoulder.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
Rarity just sighed.
"Is it Fancy Pants?"
"Sort of"
Spike thought.
"Is it because he's going off all the time?"
Rarity stayed silent.
"Look Rarity he loves you, and you heard him, this is the last time he'll be going to Canterlot. When he comes back, he's back for good"
Rarity looked up at Spike to see him smiling, which caused her to smile.
"I know, I guess I'm a bit tired, and my thoughts are out of place"
Rarity chuckled slightly.
"Oh okay. Well, I better be off, and let you get some rest. See you"
Spike made his way to the door. It took Rarity a while to realise what Spike said.
"Wait! What? Spike wait, you don't have to go, I meant I'm mentally tired"
Spike was just about to step outside before he turned around to see Rarity walking towards him.
"No, it's okay. You should give your mind a rest"
Spike went to walk out once more.
"NO! PLEASE STAY!"
Spike jumped and quickly turned around to see Rarity covering her mouth with her hoof.
"Ahem! I mean, please do stay a bit longer"
Spike, was honestly, a bit scared to say no, so he walked in a bit more and close the door behind.
"Rarity? Are you sure, you are okay?"
Rarity took a deep breath and exhaled.
"Spike can you come and sit down, I need to talk to you"
Spike started to get worried.
"Is everything okay?"
"Not really no"
"Well, what wro---"
"Just take a seat, I'm going to make a drink, do you want one?"
"Sure, thank you Rarity"
Spike walked over and sat on Rarity it was surprisingly comfy.
About five minutes later, Rarity walked in with a silver tray with a teapot and two cups and saucers.
Rarity placed the tray on the coffee table in front of Spike with her magic and sat down next to Spike.
Spike held Rarity hoof.
"What is Rarity? You can tell me"
"Okay, Spike. I need to ask you this, because I just need to know"
