-Pinkie waves at Bronies-
The sun shone brightly with the summer day, a single tree grew near a small pond just outside of Ponyville. A lone pony with a grayish-blue coat, and a slightly lighter colored sweater sat alone with a small rock in the shade of the tree. Nearby a pink blur zoomed from one side of the pond to the other, and back again in seconds.
After a few minutes of this, the pink blur vanished and a pink pony appeared from the tree, pink mane a mess of curly locks, sweat pouring over her face and muzzle.
“Hey Maud, hows the reading going?”
“I don’t know Pinkie, the book isn’t going anywhere.” Said the mare as she looked up to her younger sister.
“Yea, that makes sense, books don’t have legs. Oh, Oh, but I bet if they did, they would probably chase ponies down to be read, then the ponies would have to vanish into secret underground caverns and rise as a revolution.”
Pinkie vanished to appear next to Maud with a green and gray camouflaged bandanna, with black paint on her cheeks, and a flag with a book on legs and a large red circle with a line covering said book.
“Viva la Liberarium Revolution!” She screamed
Pinkie held the pose, as if truly standing ready against a tide of walking books bent on pony slavery to their written words and pages, that she could see before her, while Maud held her half lidded eyes on Pinkie.
“What’s wrong, Pinkie? You seem less enthusiastic than usual.”
“Wow, you can really tell whats on my mind, huh?”
“Pinkie, you’re my sister, I wouldn’t be a very good older sister if I could not tell when something was bothering you.” Came Maud’s monotone response, the only form of expression was her slow lean towards Pinkie to nuzzled her a little.
“Aw, you are the best, Maud. Sigh, I’m just a little sad that my friends all seemed to be really busy, this is the second time you have come to visit, and they cannot spare time to hang out with us.” Pinkie sighed the same time she spoke the action.
“I understand, you still want me and your friends to all get along, just like they do with you. But you have to understand, not all ponies can just drop everything to do what you want them to. I mean, you did at least give them the courtesy of not trying to make them Pinkie Promise.”
“Aw, I knew I forgot something.”
“Pinkie.”
“Yea, you’re right, Maud. Thanks for setting me straight, I can always count on you.” Pinkie responded, her face falling low, but offering a small smile to her sister.
“Ooh, what’s Boulder doing?” Pinkie asked, suddenly spotting the pet rock with a sheet of paper in front of it.
“This is his art phase.”
“Art phase?” Pinkie repeated curiously.
“Yes. He’s drawing a rock lost in a blizzard.”
Pinkie looked down at the nearly pure white sheet of paper laid in front of the small pet rock, Boulder. She spotted a small speck on the paper.
“Wow, he’s really good.”
“No, that is not the rock that is lost, that’s a speck of dirt that landed on his art. He was visualizing his master piece when the dirt ruined his focus.”
Pinkie gasped, “Oh, that is so rude.”
“Not as rude as he was to the speck of dirt. Being an artist, Boulder thinks throwing a tantrum is a good idea. I don’t want to argue.”
Pinkie nodded, a long fuzzy white mustache and beard appearing on her muzzle, and a brown robe and staff found their way to her as well from nothingness.
“Yosh! The desire to not crush a friends dreams is often a road taken by the wisest.”
“He just does not want to admit that I am better at camouflage than he is.”
“But, he’s a rock, he should be naturally good at that game.”
“I know all of his tricks.”
Pinkie nodded, still wearing her fake wise man of the mountain costume.
“Yosh, to know thy enemy, is to know thyself.”
“I don’t think that’s how the saying goes.”
“Eh, close enough.” Pinkie yawned and settled down next to Maud after tossing away her little costume. It was not long after Maud returned to reading her book, ‘Rocks and you, the inner stoner’, that pinkie began to drift off to sleep.
It had been some time when Pinkie jerked awake and looked around bleary eyed. She began to noticde that her surroundings had changed; the pond she had been running around before was gone, the tree above her was now barren, and the biggest clue that got her a bit more than just concerned, was that Maud was not by her side.
“Maud...? Where are you?” Pinkie asked quietly, a feeling of being completely and utterly alone, accentuated as her voice seemed to abnormally echo around her, despite her quiet voice.
Once the echo finished off, there was an overwhelming thick silence permeating the very air around her.
Pinkie gulped as she continued to look around, before standing and walking around the tree, trying to see as far as she could. The grass went off in all directions with soft rolling hills. Ponyville was nowhere to be seen, not even another pony.
“Ok... Well I can’t be asleep and dreaming since you guys are still here with me.” Pinkie glances forward seeing all others beyond the veil of her own world.
“Did any of you happen to see what happened?” She asks you as your eyes move across the words.
After waiting for a few moments she realizes she is not getting an answer, or she at least, cannot hear any responses.
“You boys and girls are no help you know? Honestly, I think there is something fishy here.” She says as she moves a hoof behind her and pulls out a large fish with a gray belly and a light blue back with darker, almost black stripes across at its top and spines, from seemingly empty space.
Pinkie glances at the fish in her hoof and blushes lightly. “Whoops, that was for my Holy Mackerel line later. One moment please.” She says to you.
Pinkie turns to her left and leans forward, strangely with her body seeming to stretch out of view as she begins making noises as though rummaging around in some container. After a few seconds and a loud crash, with a bowling ball rolling by to the other side of where she stands, a bowling pin goes flying across the view from over her shoulder.
After a few moments, a large dark green bazooka goes flying, following the path the bowling pin went, beyond the view of the bowling ball.
“Hey, where did my permit for that go? I do have one.” She pulls her head out from the side where it vanished to, fake glasses with an over enlarged nose connected to the large black rimmed glasses and glances in the direction of where she tossed the bazooka.
With a shrug Pinkie returns, vanishing the upper half of her body beyond anyone’s view once more, now tossing random things over her shoulder at a slightly faster rate, a large mouse trap, keys, pictures of her and all of her friends, a barrel that explodes in mid air with tons of party supplies going everywhere, including confetti, and brightly multicolored streamers, and ribbons; the last thing to fly through the air is a rubber chicken, followed by a quick apology that lacked the necessary tone for a real heart felt apology.
"Sorry Boneless."
“Oh, hehehe, this is embarrassing...,” Pinkie says returning to view complete and whole, as she looks to you all once again, “I seem to be out of fish, well the proper fish for a lame prop joke. Can.. Can we just ignore that little part? I promise I will make it up with a cupcake.” She looks beyond her veil, with large soulful blue puppy dog eyes and quivering lip.
“I Pinkie Pie promise they won’t even be made out of ponies.” She says as she goes through the motions of the promise to seal the deal.
As she finishes by sticking a hoof in her eye, she hears a noise and turns to see a small white rabbit with slightly over-sized floppy ears running by the tree.
“ Angel! Hey, Angel, wait... Hey everyone, listen, uh, stay here, I gotta go see a bunny about a mare friend. Oh, no, that came out wrong, I mean, a bunny about a mare who happens to be a friend... DON’T JUDGE ME!!!” She screams before turning in a huff and chasing after Angel bunny.
The moment she gets around the tree she find a white fluffy tail disappearing down a hole between the roots of the tree.
Pinkie moves forward to investigate.
“Hmm, this should be super suspicious since there were no bunny holes before, and Angel is way to spoiled to go down into one.”
A large echoing cough barks out from deep within the hole.
“Oh, sorry, but, you know it is kind of true, you don’t normally like, holeeesssssss!” Pinkie had been leaning her head closer to the hole as she tried to converse with Angel Bunny and promptly fell in.
