Ink Crescent is born to the Trottingham unicorn mare, Midnight Ink, and the Los Pegasus pegasus stallion, Silent Moon. She is an alicorn, but must hide her wings. She is apprenticed to Princess Luna, and must find her way through the world as an alicorn -- and a normal unicorn. When a terrible danger threatens her existence and the beautiful city of Canterlot that has now become her home, Selene -- renamed by Princess Luna, as a sort of nickname -- must now move to Ponyville under the name Ink Crescent and live as a normal pony. But when she meets Bright Sky, a pony very similiar to her, and in the same kind of predicament, will she really have to face this new challenge alone?
