“AA!” I cried, waking up from my slumber. “I felt it, th-they have been revealed...” I muttered, clutching my pendant tightly. My pendant was glowing a deep crimson red, and I felt better for some reason. “They will not stop me, no matter what the prophecies said. The future can be changed.” I kept saying, looking at my necklace, clutching it like someone would grab it any second. “But if they really have been revealed, then.., no. I won’t stop trying, I won’t stop, no. matter. what, I won’t....”

“*yawn* Oh Celestia, what time is it now...” Summer mumbled, rolling over onto her side, looking at the clock. Summer was a girl who has rainbow hair in places. Her mother thold her that she got it from her father for drinking a potion that was SUPPOSED to be making him has powers, but just ending up to have rainbow hair. She was also the best athletic in the school, and she knows it! “7:45?! I only have 15 minutes to get ready for school?! ARGGG!!!” Rainbow yelled, jumping out of bed. “Why didn’t you wake me up for school, mom?!” Summer cried, getting dressed at the same time. “Well for one thing, you have to grow to be independent soon, so you might as well wake up on your own from now on. Now shoo, get out of the house!” her mom said, so Summer ran away from the house to be in time for school. “That girl just never learns her lesson...” Her mom shook her head.

“Summer Dash! Your tardy yet AGAIN!” Summer’s teacher, Ms. Lillian scolded. “Yeah, sorry ‘bout that.” Summer grinned, and sat down in her seat. “Next time you get tardy, I’m sending a note back home! Got it?” Ms Lillian threatened, but only got a smirk and a nod. “Welllllllll, let’s get started with class, shall we?”

“Wow, she’s not frightened by the teacher at ALL? She sure is brave, but she better watch her ego.” Paige thought, staring at Summer admirably. Paige was a girl who had light purple hair. She was the abouslute egghead in the school and sadly always gets bullied by people, yet she stills strives for friends. “I guess having an ego is what made her so confident in the first place, unlike me.” Paige thought. Paige was a bookworm and she was really smart. She’s also mostly a teacher’s pet material, but the thing that she was lacking was having friends and confidence. “To be more honest, I would rather be friends with Taylor, but being her friend is going to be like, so hard. I need to think of a plan on how to approach her, how to greet her. I really need to study on friendship a bit more before I try it out...” Paige thought. “I’m just a girl who likes books and is really smart, but Taylor? She’s smart, social, confident, but always rivaled by Summer Dash, the best athlete in the whole school! But even so, she’s so arrogant and always show off. I think being friends with Taylor would be MUCH better. Looks like I’m spending my lunch in the library yet again...” Paige thought.

“Class, I want to introduce a new student to the school today. Her name is Dawn, and I think you should all make her feel welcome to Canterlot High. Come in Dawn, don’t be shy.” Ms Lillian said, and pointed at Dawn. “I’m scared, I’m petrified, I can’t move, what if I mess the first part wrong? I’ll be a laughing stock, and I’ll have no friends, no one to stick up to me, what if i don’t make a first good impression?! Ok calm down, Dawn, you’re going to be JUST fine, just keep calm and collective, and you’re going to be in the top girls! Besides, your just a girl who has pink hair and is super shy, oh god, I must look so weird with pink hair! What if everyone thinks I’m so weird with pink hair?! Ok, wait Dawn, just calm down and your going to be fine.” Dawn thought nervously, going into the classroom. “Oh Celestia, everyone’s looking at me, what am I suppose to do?! This isn’t what I wanted! I didn’t want everyone to look at me when I come in!” Dawn thought nervously, shaking at the sight of everyone staring at her. “Well, welcome to our school, Ms Shy, your seat shall be next to Paige Sparkle, the girl with the dark blue hair.” Ms Lillian said. Dawn was still speechless, but managed to nod at the teacher before walking off to her new seat at the back of the classroom. “At least no one can see me at the back of the classroom.” Dawn tried to think positively, but that just made the trip to the back of the classroom harder to take when she saw everyone looking at her while she went to her seat. Dawn was just pale, and sat down.

“So, Summer, we’re still on with the race, right?” Taylor asked Summer at Lunch time. “Heck yeah we are, you ready to get humiliated yet again, Taylor?” Summer smirked at her. “Oh your so going down, Summer Dash.” Taylor growled, growing mad at Summer’s ego every second, but is trying to keep her cool. “Yeah right, and every time you say that, I still win. Guess that just makes me a top girl in this school, doesn’t it?” Summer said, smiling a bit at that thought. “Oh right, you’re the top girl in this WHOLE school. Well then what’s the top girl without any friends? Yeah that’s right, you might be the top girl when it comes to physical abilities, but you sure aren’t when it comes to popularity and fame and of course friends.” Taylor snapped, but immediately regretted her words when she saw Summer’s eyes starting to sparkle. “U-uh, no that’s not what I meant, what I really mean is that...” Taylor’s words trailed off when Summer turned her back and walk away, looking at the ground. “S-Summer? Summer!” Taylor called after her, but it gave away no effect to grab Summer’s attention. “Oh great, you just ruined your chance yet again to be her friend. Great job Taylor, really great job” Taylor mumbled, and stalked off also.

“How to make friends and socialize with other people: Be more open about yourself, get to a friend who has similar likings, be kind and caring to her, and in return should be able to gain a great friendship! Hmmm, seems easy, wonder if it’s as easy as it sounds though.” Paige thought, looking around to test her research. “Oh! The new girl’s here! What was her name again? Fawn? Lawn?” Paige fumbled with her thoughts for a while before getting the final answer. “Oh I remember now! Its Dawn! Alright Paige, you can do this, just be ready to whatever she has to say. Just remember to be nice and kind, make sure to just be yourself, introduce and ask what does she like, and hope for the best.” Paige encouraged herself, and walked towards Dawn.

Dawn was sitting in the corner of the library, finding books that she would like to read about, mostly animals, when she saw the girl she sat next to coming towards her. “Oh Celestia’s world...” Dawn muttered when Paige got to her. “Hi! My name’s Paige and I really like books. What do you like Dawn?” Paige asked her with a bright smile. “Uh...” Dawn tried to smile, but she felt a bit too awkward and uncomfortable. “Um, animals?” Dawn whispered, not knowing if that’s the best answer. “Oh really? Then what are you doing in here at the library? Shouldn’t you be in, I don’t know, the Animal corner? You know, the place where they get to tend animals in lunch time? Oh wait, I forgot you’re new here! I’m so sorry about that. Hey! Why don’t I show you around school?” Paige asked, throwing away her act, and her true self coming out. “Oh wow, I don’t know what to say, but yes please!” Dawn said, getting excited with the idea of having a friend.
