When a forbidden spell created by Starswirl the Bearded has been used to bring back a loved one, the ponies of Equestria have a new threat upon them: the undead. In order to search for a reverse spell, Twilight, Spike, and the others must leave Ponyville in order to find a way to save their home.

But when dangerous obstacles like the zombie ponies and a mysterious new organization get in the way, will the gang be able to make their way alive without getting bitten?
