Through the portal we go little bro!! (Edited)
Its a quiet day in Canterlot Castle as the sun light shines through the windows with a bright light. The foals that roam the castle are asleep in their room, except for two of them. A brown bat pony with two shaded brown hair and hazel eyes named Peanut Butter and a dark grey bat pony with light grey hair and light blue eyes named Night Mist. They wander around the castle avoiding the guards before reaching a room with a mirror similar to the one in the Crystal Empire though different in destination and appearance as it has a wood frame and is more square in design with swirls within the frame. Peanut Butter looks at the mirror with a smirk on his face and looks at Night Mist who has a curious look on his face as he stares at the mirror.
"Alright little bro ready to have a day of fun and adventure?" Peanut Butter asks.
Night Mist nods in excitement as Peanut Butter turns around and runs through the mirror with Night Mist following him in gleeful excitement. A swirl of colors are around them as they feel their little bodies grow and change to human form before they exit the other side of the portal. They land on top of a bed with a bit of a bounce as Night Mist falls on top of Peanut Butter with a thud taking the wind out of his lungs.
"Umph!" Peanut Butter exclaims as Night Mist lands on him.
"Sorry big bro."
"Its ok little bro. Though looking at you now I wouldn't say little. At least out coats became clothes which is odd. But I won't complain."
They see a somewhat clean room painted white with a pile of dirty laundry on one side with two plushies on top of a TV next to the bed and a Luna plush on his bed near a bundled up blanket. Night Mist giggles seeing the plush as he rolls off of his brother. Peanut Butter looks around the room and recognizes it instantly as his own.
"Hey it's my room." Peanut Butter says with a bit of cheer in his voice.
"Looks like you can't go to sleep without being near mama Luna after all."
"I got lonely when I was here. Thankfully my stuff is here since I was supposed to go out the day after I was brought to Equestria anyways."
"So what should we call each other? Since it would be a bit weird to call you Peanut Butter and me Night Mist."
"Just call me by my nickname here, Jay."
"Nice. Call me.....um..... Nighty?"
"Whatever floats your boat little bro."
Jay checks his pockets and notices that he has his wallet and checks for money. He takes it out and opens it seeing that he had plenty of money on him. He's curious about how he can have money here though doesn't question it since it's money and it's also magic. He gets off the bed to grab his book bag and swings it over his shoulder and looks at Nighty with his signature mischievous grin.
"Come on Nighty, Let's get some fun in before mama busts us." Jay says before taking his keys and walking out the bedroom door.
"Ok."
Nighty follows him downstairs and out the front door before Jay locks it. They head down the city street to a bus stop as Nighty looks around taking in the sights and sounds of the city. With cars passing by and honking, the tall buildings as the sunlight reflects off of the windows reminding him of their aunt Celestia's sunlight reflecting off of the buildings in Canterlot. Jay notices and smiles as he gets a pair of sunglasses from his bag and gives them to Nighty.
"Enjoying the view?" Jay asks.
"Yeah I am, So what are we doing?"
"Go walk around the mall for a bit, Maybe get a bite to eat before going to a local card shop. I'm big into card games."
"How are we getting there?"
"By bus, don't worry I got us covered."
"Ok."
They reach the bus stop as they wait for the bus Jay looks at the skyline that he's seen many times before and missed at the same time. He smiles slightly as he sees the bus coming. He has Nighty get behind him before getting money for two bus passes and sitting down. Nighty has a cheerful look on his face as he looks out the window. Jay smiles at this as he takes out a pair of headphones and an MP3 player from his bag and puts them on his head.
"Why are you putting those on?" Nighty asks.
"We have a long ride ahead of us little bro."
"How long?"
"About an hour if there isn't too many stops or traffic."
"Oh. Do you have one of those splitters and a spare set?"
"Yeah I do."
"Thanks."
"No problem."
He plugs in the splitter and both sets of headphones before giving him the spare set and playing the music. After an hour they make it to the mall and get off the bus. Nighty's face glows with excitement as Jay puts away everything since he never has seen where Jay lived at before being taken to Equestria. He smiles and walks towards the mall.
"Come on Nighty, We got a lot of window shopping to do." Jay says.
He follows Jay as he opens the door into the mall. The walls are mostly white aside from the store fronts and the ceiling that is mostly windows and the pillars are colored a light grey with red on the top and bottom of them. With the stores lined up down the mall with their own unique facade and stock with signs on the windows declaring sales and such.
"You should see the ceiling when it rains here. Its really cool."
"I'll keep that in mind."
"I wanna check out a few of the stores and I'll take you to an awesome place here for food."
"Ok. What kind of place is it?"
"Its a surprise."
"Oh, I like surprises."
"Glad you do, Now come on."
They run to a few stores taking in the sights and sounds of the mall. The random chatter of conversations, the sounds of cash registers and employees trying to sell you products and the smell of food from the food court and restaurants as they go from shop to shop. They reach one of Jay's favorite stores Cold Category and enter. He always comes to check out the new shirts and figures they have. Nighty follows him as he looks through the store. One of the employees recognizes him. A red headed girl with a couple of ear piercings and a tattoo from Kingdom Souls on her arm.
"Hey Jay." She says.
"Hey Mandy, What's up?"
"Nothing much, Hey we got a new shipment of those Crack! figures. They got this cool looking one from Doctor What."
"That's awesome. I'll check it out."
"Awesome, Oh who's your friend?"
"This is my little bro Nighty. Not his real name, but he likes it."
Nighty blushes a little bit and hides behind Jay.
"Aw he's shy." Mandy says.
"Yeah he is. He does that around pretty girls."
She giggles at this as Nighty blushes deeper.
"Flattery gets you no where Jay."
"I know. Though no harm in trying."
"True. I'll go get that figure for ya."
"Thanks."
She goes to the back of the store to get one of the figures. As she does Jay looks at Nighty and chuckles.
"You're cute when your embarrassed little bro." Jay says nudging Nighty.
"Shut up. How do you know her anyways?"
"I came here enough times to know most of the employees here."
"Oh, Have you tried going on a date with her?"
"She has a boyfriend already and I'm not really interested with dating for a long time."
"Oh.....okay."
Mandy returns with the figure and Jay sees it's one of the stone demons from the show with very nice detail to it. He likes it, though he is carrying enough things in his bag that more stuff would weigh him down.
"As much as I like it, I can't get it. I have enough stuff to carry as it is." Jay says.
"I understand. Let me know if you need anything else."
"Will do Mandy."
Jay and Nighty soon leave the store and walk around the mall more.
Meanwhile in Equestria at Canterlot Castle Luna wakes to check on her "Angels of the Night" as she calls them. She enters the room where they sleep with the room being in a soft glow from the nightlight on the ceiling. As she looks though the cribs she notices that two of them are empty and sees that the cribs belong to Peanut Butter and Night Mist. She looks around the room before she looks out in the halls for them. She is about to call for the guards to look for them when she notices the door to the mirror room is in is slightly open. Luna smirks and walks back to the nursery and starts to wake the rest of her foals up and get them ready for their day.
"We're going on a very special trip today little ones." Luna says.
They all look at her with smiles and bounce up and down in joy wondering what it could be as they are lifted up by Luna's magic and taken to the bathroom for their morning bath as she thinks of her punishment for her two runaway foals. She hums to herself as the water fills up the tub before placing the foals in the tub.
"Mama Wuna?" One of the foals asks.
"Yes my little angel?"
"Whewe is Peanu and Nighdie?"
"You'll see little one."
"Otays"
Luna then summons a quill with ink and a scroll to write a letter to somepony before rolling up the scroll and teleporting it to the recipient. She makes sure they are all clean before letting them play as she prepares a bag for their trip. She takes the foals out one by one and has them line up in the mirror room as Luna casts a spell on the mirror to track Peanut Butter and Night Mist.
Back in the human world Jay and Nighty are standing in front of a Japanese fast food restaurant in the food court in line to order food. Nighty looks at Jay with curiosity.
"This places has the best food here." Jay says.
"Wow this looks cool. Do they have ramen here?"
"Yeah they do."
"I want that..... please."
"Sure thing little bro."
They order their food and once Jay pays for the food and pick up it up they sit on stools and place their food on the table setting their drinks to the side. While Nighty got ramen Jay got teriyaki chicken with lo mien noodles and veggies. They both eat their meals with smiles on their faces with Jay looking at Nighty.
"It's nice to come here every once in a while." Jay says enthusiastically.
"You've been here before?"
"I sneak out every once in a while. Lets me have a beak every once in a while."
"Is that so?" A female voice says behind him.
Jay feels a cold shiver down his spine as a look of fear is on his face. He looks at Nighty who has the same look of fear on his face Jay has on his.
"Did you feel that too?" Jay asks.
"Yeah."
"Oh shit, I think we got busted."
"You think right my little one." A female voice says sternly.
They look back and see a tall woman with dark blue hair and dark blue business suit and a group of people around her varying in age behind her holding hands with one of them holding her hand. They both have a surprised look on their face and jump back slightly from being surprised and scared from the angry and displeased look on her face. They realize that the woman is Luna and the others are their siblings. Luna smirks and tucks a napkin under their shirts and turns them around smiling.
"Don't mind us, Just finish your food right now. I don't want you to make a mess now." Luna says in a displeased motherly tone as they sit around Nighty and Jay.
They both eat slowly knowing full well that they are in big trouble and are trying to prolong it as long as they can. As they eat they can feel Luna's eyes looking at them knowing what they are doing which sends more shivers down their spine. They finish after twenty minutes and face Luna with their heads down. Luna taps her foot with an angry look in her eyes and a displeased expression on her face as they get up with Jay picking up his bag. They walk towards the doors of the food court as their walk of shame begins.
"Time to go home you two." Luna says.
"Yes mama."
"Yes mama."
"Come along now my little ones."
All of them follow her through a portal near by and come out as foals back in Equestria through the mirror. Both Jay and Nighty are back to being Peanut Butter and Night Mist as they walk though the mirror. Peanut Butter's bag changes into a saddlebag though the contents inside stay the same as Luna levitates them both into the air and smirks devilishly knowing the exact punishment for them.
"Since you like spending time adventuring so much maybe a week at Rarity's being her models for her foal line both her colt and filly lines will maybe remind you not to run off like you did and to use the mirror."
Their eyes go wide as they start to struggle against her magic. Luna smiles as she teleports them to Rarity's to serve their punishment in a flash of light and a poof of smoke. She smiles as she leads the foals to the playroom to watch them play while she does her royal duties and expecting pictures from Rarity and her new foal line by the end of the week.
