The Filly Cooker

"So, your school is having a field trip all the way to manehattan?" Rarity asked Sweetie Belle, while reading the permission slip. Sweetie Belle stopped her cooking for a second, so she could go check to see if she had signed it yet.

"Yeah! Could you please sign it! You let me go on the Canterlot one!" She said, then remembered how it ended in Discord's escape. "Even though bad things happened there.....but Discord isn't in Manehattan!" She quickly said, hoping it would save her chance of going.

Rarity gave a soft sigh, then turned to face her younger sibling. "I guess your right, but if anything bad happens, you aren't going on anymore field trips!" She said, finishing the conversation up. She grabbed a pen with her magic, then brought it to the paper, and signed her name. "There. Now, take this back to Miss Cherilee so she knows your going" she said, using her magic to put it in the young unicorn's hands.

"Thanks Rarity!" Sweetie Belle said, then ran out the door. She accidentally bumped into some pony, then falling backwards onto her rear.

"Slow down there sugarcube! What's with all the rush?" Applejack said, then offered her hand to help her up.

"Sorry Applejack! I was just really excited about the field trip!" She said, grabbing the country mare's hand, then pulling herself up with her help.

"You mean the field trip that Applebloom wouldn't stop bothering me about?" She asked her, she just simply nodded her head. "Well I'd get going if I were you, wouldn't want to keep Miss Cherilee waiting" she said, Sweetie Belle gave an excited/surprised gasp, then ran off in the direction of the school. Applejack chuckled as she watcher her run along, then turned back to the boutique, and entered.

Scootaloo rode around on her scooter, looking in the sky, hoping the find Rainbow Dash. Since she was looking up, she had no idea she was coming up on a ramp, until it was too late. "Huh?!" She said, noticing that she was airborne, she improvised to make it look cooler. She did a front flip, then made sure her feet landed on the scooter, before slamming into the ground.

"Nice air time, Squirt" she heard a familiar voice say, then looked back to see Rainbow Dash flying just behind her. "Applebloom told me that you were looking for me" she said, then got into a comfortable position while flying along side the scooter.

"Yeah! I need you to sign an application so I can go on the field trip to Manehattan!" She told Rainbow, she nodded her head in an understandingly way.

"Wanna stop before you hit the tree?" She asked the orange Pegasus, then stopped flying and landed, while Scootaloo kept going.

"Wait what?" She asked herself, then looked forward to see a tree in her path. She slammed on the brakes, turning her scooter so she was skidding across the ground. The speeding scooter stopped, just a few inches away from said tree. Standing up, she looked back to see Rainbow clapping, as if she had just watched a friend finish a race.

"Nice one Scoots!" Rainbow said, upon reaching her, they did a high five. "Alright, you deserve to have your paper signed" she said, Scootaloo's face brightened up. Ripping the backpack off her back, she dug through it, then pulled out a piece of paper and a pencil. She handed them to Rainbow, and watched as she put her initals on it. "Alright, now go have fun!" Rainbow told Scootaloo, she handed the paper and pencil back, then watched as she rode off towards the school.

"Did you get yours signed Snails?" Snip asked his friend, he gave a nod.

"Yep" Snails replied to his chubby friend. "And you got yours?" He asked, Snips pulled it out and showed him. "This is going to be fun!" He said, then a thought came to the orange unicorn's mind, and the look in his friend's eyes, he knew they were thinking the same thing.

"RACE YA!!!" They both yelled, then bolted off towards the school, trying to see who was the fastest.

Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon walked along, their forms in hand, signed and dotted with a few precious gems. "I can't believe it! We're going to another fancy city, but we still live here?" Diamond asked Silver, she agreed with her friend. "If anything happens on this field trip, I'll ask my dad to get me away from these blank flanks who mess everything up!" She complained, thinking back to when the CMC had summoned Discord from his stone prison.

"Why do they even try? They'll never find their true talent!" Silver said, then they both started laughing their evil little laugh. They stopped when they heard a click sound come from a bush, looking over, they saw Feather Weight standing there with a camera. "Oh my, it's the paparazzi!" Silver feigned a stressed actress, who was trying to escape the picture crazy reporters.

"Oh Silver, you know I take pictures of everything" Feather said, then climbed out of the bush. They walked together, then hugged each other.

"You got yours signed?" Diamond asked the white pegasus, he pulled out a folded piece of paper from his pocket, unfolding it, they saw the signature that was needed.

"Can't wait to go on the trip with you Silver" Feather said, then they all started walking towards the school, talking about other things as they went along. Little did they know that Applebloom was nearby and heard everything.

"So Feather Weight likes Silver Spoon.....how could I have not noticed it before!" The young country mare asked herself, then kicked a pile of dirt. Giving off a heavy sigh, she continued walking towards the school.

Babs walked along, backpack fit snug on her back, and slip in hand. She looked to her left, then she saw Applebloom's friend Twist heading towards the school, then decided to go over and say hi. "Hey Twist!" She said, jogging over to her. Twist looked around for a second, then rested her gaze on the earth pony that called her name.

"Hey Babs! You going on the field trip?" She asked, closing the gap between them. She pulled the slip out of her pocket to show Babs, and Babs already had hers in hand. "Guess that means yes" she said, then they started laughing a bit, and it slowly died away the closer they got to the school.

"Don't you agree that this is gonna be fun?" She asked the Candy Cane Filly, she nodded her head in agreement.

"Yep! And with all our friends going as well, it will be twice as fun!" Twist said, then they gave each other a high five, then decided to jog the rest of the way.

Miss Cherilee sat at her desk, checking the homework from yesterday. She stopped when she heard knocking on her door. Standing up, she walked over to the door, and upon opening, a bunch of fillies flooded in, permission slips raised above their heads as they tried to be the first to turn it in.

"Back up! Or else I won't take any of you!" She yelled out, they all stopped trying to get in, and backed up a bit to give their teacher room. "Thank you, now make a single file line....and no pushing!" She said, they all did as she asked. The first one handed in their slip, then the next, then the one after that one, and etc. "Now, I will be having a meeting a meeting with the ones that signed these, as to ensure that none of you tried writing their signature without permission." Cherilee told them, they all nodded. "Now go enjoy the day, it isn't until next week" she said, dismissing them.

Miss Cherilee sat in her chair, all the guardians and parents sitting in theirs, crating a circle. "I wanted to meet you all here to discuss the field trip" she said out loud, a few of them murmured, but stopped when Cherilee cleared her throat. "Now, if you didn't sign the paper, raise your hand" she said, a single mare raised her hand. "Alright, that means you young colt won't be going since he lied to me" she said, pulling out said slip, then ripped it in half.

"That's not fair at all" the mare said, then stood up angrily and ran off, they could hear her crying. They all gave Cherilee an angered type of look, but she just shrugged her shoulders. "I just go by the rules" she said in her defense, then the others started to calm down a bit.

"There won't be any trouble on this one, right?" Rarity asked, Cherilee gave a nod, signifying that nothing bad would happen. "Are you sure?" She asked again, as to confirm her first question.

"I promise nothing bad will happen! After all, it's only and orphanage and a few other places" Cherilee replied, making a few of them relax.

"So, any terms or conditions we should worry about?" Applejack asked, Cherilee pulled out a paper.

"Well, they have to bring their own lunch, and that they don't break anything while they visit" she read out loud, a few of them groaned, knowing that their little ones won't keep their hands to themselves.

"Anything else we should know about?" Rainbow asked, looking irritated from just being there.

"Not much else, only that they don't wander to far from the group, make sure to talk to them about that" Cherilee said, then Filthy Rich just snorted.

"I certainly hope your not serious on that Mr. Rich, because I can't be responsible for anything that happens to them if they do that" Cherilee said, hoping that he would talk to his daughter about this. He just scoffed it off, got up, then left. They all considered the facts for a second, pondering if anything big would happen because of Filthy Rich's daughter. Cherilee decided it was time to close the meeting, said one more thing, then bid them farewell. But she couldn't help but worry about her students, mainly Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. Because she knew that with their attitude, they were bound to get in trouble
