Arc was his name, and he was the wanderer. The rest of the population was gone, whether to a better land or not was not his problem, he was here. He would survive.

Arc held his sword at the ready, magic happened to be a plus in this sort of situation, there were several large dogs that had started ransacking the orchard, had Arc did not need that, this was his supply of food. He picked up the sword of the table and looked at the mutts.

They yelled "Boss! There's one of those ponies! It a unicorn! We gon be rich!" The mutts then got dispatched with Arc's sword, they begged! "Mercy! Mercy! Please!" When suddenly a big mutt showed up. "I call myself the Diablo. And guess where you're headed?"

Arc muttered under his breath, "still here" and slashed Diablo's face. He then dispatched him as well. Arc wondered what to do with the bodies, then he had an idea. After pulling up the bodies into the loft, Arc sat down in the house and admired a painting of a mare wearing the same hat that laid on his head. Several days of resting on the orchard, Arc decided to move to the village in town. He started traveling, and soon the grassy path gave way to worn cobblestone. He needed a place to rest, when he noticed the shiny tree. It was covered in underbrush. He found the door easy enough, and made his way inside. He found a door within the building upstairs with Princess Twilight Sparkle engraved on a plaque on the door. He slept on the couch downstairs. When he woke up he scribbled in his journal, and started to explore the town. That's when the dragon arrived, "what are you doing in their" it roared. Arc levitates himself up, and onto the dragon's back. Then the dragon jumps up and arc takes his sword and stabs the beast. The sword cuts down the dragon's back and the beast flies away, "so long purple pony eater!" laughs Arc.

Arc thought he heard a twig snap and then he made himself with a rudimentary invisibility spell. He then saw shadows creep across the town. And saw them: Changlings. Hmp, thought Arc, thought I taught you a lesson last time. Then he felt the bolt pierce his leg. Causing blood. He then charged and attacked, he killed probably three hundred Changlings himself, that day, but in the aftermath Arc felt his life go away, and saw all the others of Equestria. He was home.

Arc's Journal:

I wonder sometimes whether I will ever find someone else, but I doubt it. I've been here for two summers. Wandering these lands, they are bountiful, but there is no one else here to enjoy them. My name is Arc, and that's all to my name. I don't remember when I was young, but that doesn't matter anymore. I'm alone. I have found some weapons and armor for myself in a local armory I found. Everything's wonderful but I have to ask a question. Why me? Why am I left while all the others get taken. And this land, it is perfectly healthy, would last millenniums. Well, I won't get answers though, it's not like someone is going to come and help me.

I should just die. I'm going to die any ways. Take this sword, and plunge it in my gut. I could do it.

Probably shouldn't.

I found a hat yesterday, it was in this barn by this overgrown orchard. In fact, nearly every thing is overgrown, but what does it matter to me. The hat smelled nice, like some pie, and hey, it had a pin with an apple sign attached to it. But hey, I've found other weirder things. There was a hut in the woods, and it had some fermenting potions in there.

This place is sad, I found a rotting pie tin on the table in the house. Wonder what happened to the folks that lived there.
