Hello there, my name is Wolfy. I'm about 16-18 years old, with a black coat and a in my opinion I have a very muscular build. I have been living in the Everfree forest as long I can remember. I'm just a regular wolf, nothing really special about me. Well other than the fact that I live with timberwolfs, they are about the same as me except they are made of nature, and magic. But even with all that they are still capable of using complex kinds of emotions and strategic ways of thinking.
Ever since I was a little pup, I was raised as a part of the pack. (I know surprising right) I always figured when I was a pup that I might have looked like a tasty snack for them, but the pack leader decided to look over me instead. (He has always been my favorite of the pack.)
Well there I was, part of the pack running, hunting, and doing whatever it takes to survive from day to day. Now and then, some of the others would fight me just because I wasn't made of wood like them. So we would fight and they would win most of the fights. (they are made of such hardwood, of course I would lose sometimes). They always left me pretty beaten up in the end. I usually just shook it off by the next day. Most of the pack didn't like me very much at all, they say that its goes against nature, keeping me alive and as a member of the pack. Any of them could have ended me at any time they wanted, but they were afraid of the chief. So they settled for daily beatings instead.
But I’m getting ahead of myself here. Allow me start from the beginning, when I was found as a little pup. I was just wondering around in the Everfree forest all by myself. Most of the pack thought that I would have made a nice little chew toy, but the chief decided against it since I was just a pup and couldn't defend myself. He then took it upon himself to raise me.
He taught me the basics for surviving in the Everfree and they became customary for my everyday life. Since I’m a regular wolf I can eat on fruits, vegetables, and meat whenever I’m hungry (none of the others in the pack eat plants. Guess they think it's cannibalism or something). But I usually prefer meat over fruits and such.
In this forest, you kinda don't really have to know how to fight. You can simply avoid trouble before it gets to you by using some of your sharper senses to avoid another creatures like smell, sight and hearing. But if and when you do get into trouble, its good to know were to bite and scratch at to take down your opponent. You can also use this knowledge for hunting bigger prey when your hunting in a pack.
Well back to the present, I was on one my routes to go find some berry bushes for a snack. I was feeling like having some blueberrys at the time. When all of a sudden I saw what appeared to be a striped creature who was gathering some random herbs. Curiosity got the best of me and I followed the creature to a hollowed out tree. It appeared to have lights inside of it and moving bark in front so that the striped creature could enter and leave as it pleased.
I was absolutely fascinated by this unknown creature and decided not to eat it. I took time out on my route everyday to examine the creature. I was amazed that a creature like it could do things like start fire and make such delicious smells come from its home. I later found out that it was a female (don't ask). I almost got caught a couple of times spying on her. Not only did she almost catch me, but some of the pack almost did too. They have been trying to find any sort of reason to disown me and exile me from the pack, and this of all things would get me kicked out for sure. Not just because I was spending valuable time watching her, but because I didn't kill her and bring her corpse back to the pack to feast on, since she seems to be very easy prey.
I was watching her one day and I noticed that she was heading somewhere other than the usual route she takes to pick herbs. I decided that while she was gone that I would take the chance and snoop around her home. I’ve seen her use the bark many times so entered the home of hers and looked around there were many shiny objects that had many varieties of liquids in them. I also found a very soft area with a nice fluffy white square and weird red fur covering it.
I laid there for a bit and got up to look around the rest of the house. I finally noticed that there were wooden faces on her walls that made me shiver a bit. They kind of reminded me of the pack except they were more carved and detached from the rest of them.
I thought that it was about time to leave and looked out the window. I started to panic when I saw her trotting back to her home. The image of the wooden faces came back into my head. I panicked and ran around the whole house for a bit. I realized that I could leave through the bark entrance, but the bark wouldn't open. I ran to the soft spot and tried to hide under the red fur. At the time, I thought it would be a good hiding place.
She entered into her home through the bark entrance and was a little frazzled at the sight. I may have been messing with the shiny materials hanging from the ceiling and dropped them onto the floor. I didn't think nothing of it, I’m used to things being a bit splashy. She started saying words I couldn't really understand, but it sounded very very angry. She looked around and immediately found me hiding. I only saw a glimpse of her when she found me before being knocked out with a heavy object.
I woke up a few hours later tied up to a tree with a very hard silver string. I spent some time trying to get it off my neck but I couldn’t do it. Luckily there was a berry bush within my reach and I chowed down. I was getting really bored out there and howled for help, but there was no response from my pack.
Later on the next day the creature showed up with a container full of fruits and vegetables she tried talking to me again and I still couldn't understand her. She threw the food over to me from about about 5 feet away so the food was here and there, but I was happy anyway. She was still talking for a while and threw some gesture here and there so I understood a bit like "stay" and "I’m going". After all that she went trotting off. I spent the next hour just howling.
I finally got a response from some timberwolfs. I was so excited..... at first. Then I recognized the two of them and immediately knew what was coming next. I had gotten into a fight with them about a week ago which I had barely won. The two of them just started laughing and after they were done they just walked away leaving me there. Looks like I won't be getting any help from them anytime soon.
The creature finally came back with another one that was violet colored with a horn of some type sticking out of her head. The violet one was looking at me with a very worried look on her face. The striped one talked to the violet one for a while before walking away from the other one. I wondered what was going on then out of nowhere the violet one's horn started glowing very brightly. I tried to free myself from the string that bound me to the tree, but it refused to break and grant me freedom. I was getting increasing scared of the glowing violet creature. As the the light shot out at towards me, my life flashed before my eyes, before I lost my connection to the waking world.
I... I can still hear voices. They're faint, but they're there. Questions spring up like weeds. Am I dead? Why did the violet one do that to me? What did I ever do to it? Where am I? Am I ok? Will I be ok?

Hello everypony sorry for the wait I have ALOT of stuff going on in school and I haven't really been able to get to work on my story for a while, plus I owed somepony and I needed to repay them. The next day I awoke tied to the same damn tree.
I said to myself "What the hell did that purple creature do to me. WAIT what the hell!"
Out of nowhere an apple was flying at me. I instinctively dodged it. I was wide awake now and saw the striped creature standing there tossing another one around in the air.
She spoke "How do you do, I brought some fruit for you" she than tossed me another on the ground and I picked it up.
I replied "I’m kind of shaken up a bit right now. Thank for nearly knocking me out again" and chomped down on the apple she gave me. I then realized while in the middle of chewing that I understood her and choked on the fruit.
After I spat it up I shouted “How the hell can I understand you?"
She gave a meek grin and replied “I see that it worked real well, that magical power of Twilight's spell."
"Twilight?" I replied “Ooooohhhhh! That purple one you mean right?"
She nodded and said "I know you are surprised you mutt, but what were you doing in my hut?"
"Too be honest I was just really curious when I spotted you a couple weeks ago and decided that I wanted to know a bit about you. So while you were gone I sort of...." I stopped for a moment to reflect.
“When in to your home. I didn't mean any harm; really I was just curious that's all. I mean really you have allot of stuff I have never seen before like the lights that you can put on at any time of day, The bark that can allow entrance and exit for you but prove to be quit a capable trap for enemies that intrude on your domain. Good job by the way you even caught me. Oh! And those glass thing you have hanging around that have different colored liquids in them they are really pretty."
I then remembered the heads that I saw on the walls. I swallowed hard and said " I also liked your...." I stuttered a bit"...your heads that you have on your walls. You must be some sort of fighters to take the heads of timber wolfs and carve them into decorations."
I tried to make eye contact with her, but I was too scare.
She giggled and said "That is not true, do I look like a killer to you?"
I looked back at her for a while. She has a rather smaller frame compared to me, and she looked as if she has never been in a fight.
I said "you did just attack me with an apple. Looks can be very deceiving"
She replied " I guess that is true, now what will I do with you"
"Spare, Let me go, and forgive me" I joked
“I will forgive you, but freeing I cannot do." She said
“PLEASE!!" I said while giving her the puppy dog eyes
She replied “You need to repay for my wears and vials, to do so I’ll put you through my trials"
"So basically I have to work off what I owe."
She nodded
"But what can I possible do while tied to this tree?"
“What you say is right; you can start when I stop your bite."
I cocked my head and said
"Stop my bite?"
As if on schedule the 'Twilight' trotted down the trail and meet up with me and the striped one.
"Hi" she said
The striped on waved at her, and she trotted over to her.
The purple one came over with a leathery leash thing. Her horn started glowing again and I immediately hit the deck and covered my eye with my paws. I felt something getting fastened to my muzzle. I uncovered my eyes and saw that my leash devise was on my muzzle.
"Uuummmm...... What the hell is this?" I said
"It is a special devise I embedded with magic. You are going to be able to talk normally with it on but if you even think of hurting any pony it will clamp your mouth shut."
“Zecora is the stripped ones name?"
"Yes, Zecora is a zebra so she has a different zebra based name."
"Wait a second, so she is a zebra so doesn't that mean you are a zebra too?"
“NO!! I'm a pony!! She yelled
"OKAY!! You don't need to yell. I have never heard of or seen you 'ponies' and 'zebras' in my entire life. I was raised out here in the everfree you don't get that much education about other species out here except the ones you eat, you know."
She looked shocked and said "You ea...Eat other animals?" she stuttered
"Ya, it’s not that big of a deal. don't you?" I said blankly
"YOU ARE TERRIBLE!!! HOW CAN YOU DO THAT TO OTHER CREATURES THAT IS JUST EVIL!!!" She yelled even louder this time.
I took a couple steps back and said “I was just raised that way I don't HAVE to eat other animals I can eat fruits and vegetables. But It is just the way things are around here" I shuttered a bit.
Zecora then walked up and whispered something into Twilight's ear. She then calmed down a bit and said.
"Okay, Okay let’s take this from the top. What are you? Who are you? Why are you here? Who is with you? And is there anything important that I should know about you?" She said bluntly
“I am Wolfy the wolf. I got interested in the living habits of your friend Zecora and decided to examine her a bit. Right now there is a pack of timber wolfs that I have been living with since I was small pup, but I don't think that they will be looking for me anytime soon. Finally, yes this rope is giving me a horrible neck rash can you take it off for me please?"
"Okay doesn’t try anything sneaky." Twilight said
"I won't it’s not like I got anywhere to go with this thing on. I can't hunt with it on and if I don't hunt in the pack I don't eat."
She removed the collar and WOW!! It felt good to get that thing off.
Zecora finally spoke up and said "Now if that is all through, I got some work for you to do"
"Alright but don't you think I should learn what everything is first? I don't even know what you do or what anything is."
“Why that is true, Twilight what do you think we should do?" Zecora asked
"Well spike has been spending allot more time with rarity. I guess I can take him off you hooves and teach him the basics of living in ponyville for you." Twilight replied
"Why that would be great, you both should go it’s getting late." Zecora said
"Okay I’ll see you tomorrow. Goodbye Zecora" Twilight said
I and Twilight said our goodbyes and walk off down the trail.
"So where are we going?" I asked
"We are heading to ponyville. But first I want to lay down some ground rules. Firstly, I don't want you to eat meat, talk about eating meat, or go hunt for meat that means that all animals you encounter are off limits and all ponies a well. Secondly, don’t get into any fights or use any harsh language you be nice to us we will be nice to you. And lastly, you do what I tell you when I tell you if I think any of my friends or family are in danger I will not hesitate to crush your face understand?"
"Yes I understand. By the way which part of the forest is it in?" I asked
“Ponyville is no in the everfree forest."She said
"Wait what? So you’re telling me there is more than just forest? I have been living in the everfree all my life and I haven't ever left it." I said shockingly
“Well you didn't really thing the whole world was a forest did you?" She said jokingly
“Actually I did."
"Okay then....." She said awkwardly
We both walked for a while silently. We than came across a very bright opening in the forest that burned my eyes just looking at. When through it I saw another small cottage that had a large array of small fluffy animals around it. I’ll be honest they looked delicious there aren't allot of small animals like them in the forest and they were kind of a wolf's favorite snack and when I say a wolf's snack I mean MY SNACK. I was drooling a bit from just looking at them.
"Wolfy what are you doing?"
I snapped out of my trance and looked over at Twilight. The leather devise was no joke i couldn't open my mouth at all. Twilight noticed and face hoofed
She said “I don't even want to know and we are here." she pointed towards at ponyville. It was ignoramus. There were so many building and ponies that I couldn't believe that I never came across the town before. On the way to ponyville Twilight
Told me to remember the rules she told me. She also told me that I should try to lay low for a bit because ponyville has a history of bad encounters with other creatures that come from the everfree forest. I completely dismissed the thought.
“How bad can it be? I mean just because I'm a wolf doesn't mean I'll kill everything I see only just the stuff I want to eat." I said
"Ok but I'm warning you look out for flying objects ponies have been getting a little defensive ever since the changeling attack." she said
"Changelings?"
"Flying bug creatures that can shape shift and use magic" She replied
“I ran into a few of those before their skin was hard to crack open and since they can fly I had to rip their wings off first." I said
"What did I tell you about talking that way?"
"Sorry"
We were walking through the town now. There were so many vibrant colors to this town and so much personality nothing like the ever free. I then smelled something very sweet. I couldn't compare it to anything else that I had before, but I wanted it badly.
“Twilight can we get whatever that is?"
"What do you mean?"
“Where ever that amazing smell is coming from. Please please please." I said excitingly
"I can't smell anything"
"I must have better smelling than you. Follow me"
I ran at full speed to find the location of the delicious treat I smelt. It wasn't like anything I have ever had it was sweet, cooked, and delightful. I came across a giant house made of food. I immediately jumped at it and tried to take a bite but it was just a regular building and I cracked a fang. Twilight finally caught up panting and saw me biting it. She than face hoofed for the umpteenth time. I think there is a mark starting to form on her fore head. A pink pony came out of nowhere and was standing next to Twilight.
"Wow, I thought I was the only one who did that. “She said
"Hi pinkie" Twilight said
"What is your new pet’s name? He looks like a big doggy. I always figured you for a cat person."Pinkie said
"Actually I'm a wolf not a dog. Anyways do you know where that delicious smell is coming from I want it. Badly."
"Here you go." She handed me a small colorful treat from here mane and handed it to me or 'hoofed' it to me. I immediately shoved the whole thing in my mouth. It was amazing. It was soft, sweet, creamy, and very addicting. I ran over to the Pinkie and started searching through her mane to find another one.
"HA HA HA HA!!!! That tickles “Pinkie laughed
"Wolfy get out of Pinkie's mane right now."Twilight said
I stopped my search
"Sorry Pinkie he is not from around here. He lives in the everfree forest." Twilight explained
"No duuuuuhhhhhh Twilight I know everypony remember?"Pinkie said
"Ya I know" Twilight sighed
"I need to go. See you later guys."Pinkie bounced away
"What did i just eat it was amazingly delicious. But it Kind of taste familiar I can't put my paw on it." I said while I was licking my paws
“It’s just a cupcake. We should head home now we got a big day tomorrow." Twilight said
"Why would we have a big day?" I said confused
"You don't know Pinkie pie like I do."
Author's note- Alright I'm just going to come out and say it. Yes I know I'm extremely late on the updates and yes I know that this story is less than average at best. I also know my grammar sucks, and maybe after I have a few chapters written already ill have someone improve up on what I already have. Okay no more ranting enjoy!
It was getting a bit late after our visit at SugarCube corner. The streets of Ponyville were getting less clustered and Twilight and I were on the subject of magic and how each it effects the occupancies of Equestria. From what I learned so far Unicorns we're able to concentrate magical energy through there horns and through different thought processes can use it in many variabled ways. Pegisis were able to fly and used there hoofs to move clouds and also cause various weather effects via storms, rain, snow, and rainbows. And last but not least Earth Ponys I am having trouble understanding how the have magic unless they are consistently emitting magic which helps animals, plants, and other ponys.
"So than do you know of any other creatures that can use magic? Like for example Zecora since she is a zebra what does she do?" I catechized on.
"Well I thing that the zebras have the same kind of magic as earth ponys but not exactly the same. The zebras use the magic in plants to help there daily needs instead of more natural methods like us." Twilight replied
" Interesting. By the way were are we going?"
"You need to eat don't you?" My stomach immediately growled, those cupcakes are amazing but not all that filling.
"I'll take that as a yes. I think we should start heading to my place." She stated
"Can you buy a male a drink first?" I said jokingly.
"WHAT!" Said the mauve mare
"Gotcha!" I said snickering a bit
The rest of the walk not a word was uttered. Geas she took that joke way to seriously. Appon our arrival we were greated by books and paper, and paper and books.( There were ALOT of each), and a dragon.......
-Five Minutes Later-
"TWILIGHT HELP!!" Said a frightened dragon who was on top of the highest bookshelf
"IM TRYING!!" Shouted a frustrated unicorn
"GET DOWN HERE I'LL EAT YOUR FACE DRAGON!!!" Shouted a raging wolf
"I THOUGHT THAT YOU HAD IT UNDER CONTROL!!" Shouted the dragon
" Ohhh ya" she said under her breath realizing she had a fail safe.
"SIT BOY!!" Shouted Twilight
It's funny how gravity works one second your looking up at a possible snack and the next thing you know your face is smashing into the floor.Hard.
"Oww I think I bith my tungth!"
"You deserved that. If you would relax for a second I could have told you that spike is my assistant."
" you Namthed your peth dragon spike?"
" I'm noponys pet." said spike
" Okay are we all good now?" asked twilight
Spike and I nodded. We headed into the kitchen afterwords and I chowed down on some fruit, Twilight had a sandwich, and Spike had a shiny rock. I wonder what those taste like. Anyways Twilight escorted me into her laboratory basement and gave me a guest bed.
" Wolfy you'll be sleeping down here tonight I don't think I can trust you around Spike yet."
" What!? Dragons are evil!"
" Not really just grouchy."
" Tell that to my uncle."
" What happened to your uncle?"
" Fire lots and lots of fire."
" That explains a lot. Well goodnight then."
" Good night."
The next morning I woke up really early. Instincts made sure of that. Twilight was still asleep, I don't really blame her she was up all night reading. I was still locked in the basement since Twilight didn't like having the dragon turn into a chew toy. I would have gotten away with it to if it weren't for that meddling Twilight. After a while I got bored. So I decided to play with the blinks light machines.

" That's fun now what does this thing do?"
"{*^|>~{|*<[~*{+}%<*+[{<}~*^!!!!"
" That's kinda loud maybe if I..."
" WUBWUBWUBWUB!!!!" The machine started blasting
This music.I like it. I started fiddling with the other machines. This music was very energetic and jumpy.
"DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS !??!?" And there is Twilight with really really red eyes
" Well good morning to you too." I said sarcastically
" It's not morning it's.." She looks over at the clock which reads 10am. "Okay it's morning."
"Sorry I was bored" I said guiltfully
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
"Uuuuuuugghhhh!!!Who is it now!!!" Twilight's said angrily
As she opened the door she was greeted by a white mare with a blue mane.
" I challenge you to a match to see who is ponyvilles #1 DJ!!!" Okay the moment of truth the most amazing thing ever is about to take place!!!
" No" Twilight says while slamming the door in her face
" Twilight I'm hungry." Says I
Then make yourself something to eat."
"I don't know how to make food."
"Ask spike"
"He is gone out"
" Well I'm going to bed figure it out yourself."
"But.." Twilight used her magic and threw me out the front door.
That is really responsible of you Twilight throw your slave/guest/dangerous animal out on the curb. Smart. Well lack of sleep does give ponies the horrible disease of "the dumb". I wonder if I can go and snack on some of the animals around the hut near the forest?
Aaaannnnnnnnnddddd done okay I know it is a short chapter but I'm going to give you the audience a choice from now on. You can wait for long periods of time for me to update a long chapter 1000-etc. or you can wait a shorter amount of time for a short chapter 0 -1000.
