Easter chapter, a weird one
It was a bright spring day in Ponyville. Many ponies were out and about, running around in the town and fixing errands. Long lines of ponies could be found outside bakeries and sweet shops, like Sugarcube corner, where our story begins.
Out of the shop sprung three fillies, with equally large frowns plastered on their faces.
“So Apple Bloom, what do we do now?” Sweetie Belle asked. “I mean, we’re officially banned from Sugarcube corner, so we surely can’t get our cutie-marks in being bakers.”
“Didn’t we try that a year or so ago?” Scootaloo had buzzed up in front of her two friends with a confused face.
“Maybe… Ah really don’t keep track anymore.” Apple Bloom replied, tapping her hoof on her chin. The fillies went in silence outside town, on their way to Sweet Apple Acres. Suddenly, Apple Bloom smiled brightly, and took a little skip. The other two stopped in surprise and watched Apple Bloom with confusion.
“What is it? Did you find a bit on the ground?” Scootaloo asked. AppleBloom shook her head and gave the others a toothy grin.
“Ah just remebered it’s easter soon! And that gave me a great idea for crusading!”
“What? What is it?” Sweetie Belle eagerly leaned forward and smiled exitedly. So did Scootaloo, her eyes filled with anticipation.
“Well, at first I was gonna go easter egg hunting with y’all, but then Ah thought of an even better idea! Who’s the one placing all the eggs? Well, the easter bunny of course! And Ah thought that if Ah could find him I’d be sure to get my cutie-mark in seeking for things. Ah bet Ah could even find Waldo! Plus, I’m sure I’d get a cartload of eggs to!”
“That’s… A great idea!” Scootaloo exclaimed “You thinkin’ what I’m thinkin’?”
The three fillies jumped up in the air and bumped their hooves while screaming i chorus; “Cutie mark crusaders easter bunny finders!”
Meanwhile, outside the Everfree forest...
Ok, lets go through this again. My slaves painted eggs? Check. Good attitude? Meh. Sombrero? Check. Mustache? Check. Good, now I will just await the signal.
"Oh Aaangel! Time to gooo!"
Let's do this.
The three fillies ran around in Ponyville in determination, turning their heads frequently and searched for any clues to whether the Easter bunny was close. Apple Bloom made some weird, high-pitched noises, earning an annoyed glare from Scootaloo, but she kept her mouth shut. She wanted a cutie-mark in searching, not arguing. Being an attorney seemed boring anyways. And the sounds was surprisingly accurate, but Scootaloo wouldn't admit that for all the chocolate in the world.
In their search, they failed to notice the yellow pegasus acting just like the CMC, at least until Sweetie Belle ran into her flank. Fluttershy let out a frightened shriek and Sweetie Belle stumbled backwards. The other two ran up to them.
"Are y'all okay?"
"Oh I'm so sorry girls, I didn't see you. I am okay. How about you, Sweetie?"
"Aside from butterflies being the only thing I can see, I'm fine."
Scootaloo turned her head to Fluttershy who had returned to looking around."Are you searching for something, Fluttershy?"
"Rather someone, Angel is missing. He always runs away during my visit on Easter, and returns to me when I'm about to go home."
Apple Bloom and Scootaloo smiled at each other."We'll help ya!" Apple Bloom said. "We're trying to get our cutie-marks in finding things, so if we help you, we'll be sure to get them, and ya'll get Angel back! It's perfect!"
Fluttershy tapped her hoof on her chin and smiled. "Well, I guess a little more help wouldn't hurt... alright then. Thank you, girls."
"No problem Fluttershy!"
"Okay, if you were a demonic bunny, where would you be?" Scootaloo looked over to her friends.
"I have no idea. The park maybe? There's a lot of flowers there, they would probably make for a good snack," Sweetie Belle said.
"Good thinking! Now let's go," Scootaloo replied. She quickened her pace to a full gallop and set off to the park with her friends in her tail. They all ran for a while and eventually arrived at the park. The three fillies began, once again, to search for the bunny. A different one,yet still a bunny.
After a couple of minutes the whole park was covered, every inch had been searched and every rock turned. Defeated fillies walked out of the park. Sweetie Belle halfheartedly glanced over a bush, expecting to find nothing.
She was wrong.
Behind the bush was something with large ears and sombrero. Sweetie Belle stared at it for a while, and eventually said;"Angel?"
"No! I am not gonna have my cover blown by a filly! An extremely stupid one to!" it said with a dark and scratchy voice.
"So, you are Angel?" Sweetie asked again.
Angel sighed. "Yes, yes I am 'Angel'." he turned around and faced Sweetie Belle, whom now saw the mustache he was wearing. Se thought it looked evil, but at the same time incredibly hot.
"What are y'all doin, Sweetie?" Apple Bloom could be heard from the entrance.
"Girls, you've gotta see this!" Sweetie replied, and the other two shrugged and walked back in the park. When they were beside Sweetie Belle, both had a look of utter confusion on their faces as the bunny grumpily stood in the grass behind the bush, and a large basket of eggs was placed beside him. "It's Angel! He's the easter bunny!"
"Yeah yeah, have your laughs, stare a little, take a picture for the heck of it, they last longer. Can I go now?"
"Are you done with the eggs?" Sweetie asked.
"Why do you care?"
"I'm hungry."
"Ah'm hungry too."
"Me three-"
"- Then go eat something, why should I care!"
Angel began hopping away, but the three fillies followed soon after. He quickened his pace, but they were still in his tail,and it was getting annoying. Angel made a sharp turn and sprinted for the exit. He got out and the CMC had fallen behind. He made another sharp turn and stylishly hopped between the legs of ponies in the center of town, and threw away the mustache and sombrero so he wouldn't get caught by that whiny white unicorn and her obsession over fashion. He glanced back to the clothes, and saw them get picked up by a purple dragon. He actually looked good in them, but Angel didn't have time for that. His slave was only a few skips away and the CMC was catching up on that ugly scooter. But, Angel was faster and sat beside Fluttershy in no time. The fillies arrived not soon after and his slave gave them a kind smile.
"Oh girls, I'm so glad you found Angel, thank you so much!"
"Yeah, err, you're welcome, Fluttershy."
"Why don't you follow me home and have a snack? I must do something for you!"
Sweetie opened her mouth, and got a yellow hoof in it almost immediately.
"That's mighta nice of Y'all, but we have ta go. Ya know, crusading stuff!"
She gave a nervous laugh and forced the others to start walking. They went back into town and Fluttershy returned to her cottage. Apple Bloom sighed in relief.
"What was that for!? We could have gotten cookies! From Fluttershy!" Scootaloo said.
"Are y'all kidding!? That bunny is nuts!"
