Rarity and her sister Sweetie Belle lived together in the Carousel Boutique. Sweetie Belle had her friends to play with while Rarity had her shop to design the most fabulous clothes. Life was good, and they were happy.

Then one day, Twilight Sparkle heard a message from Celestia after a week-long binge of studying dark artifacts.

"THE BELLES HAVE BECOME CORRUPT, MY STUDENT. THEY ARE TAINTED, AND THEY CAN NEVER BE SAVED. YOU MUST PURGE EQUESTRIA OF THEIR EXISTENCE."

"I'll shall do as you ask, my princess..." Twilight Sparkle replied.

She grabbed a book from her personal library, a book of runes that will annihilate anything they were used on, and marched on towards the Boutique.

The Belles, seeing that their longtime friend was going to destroy them, panicked. They boarded up all entrances and tried to look for a way out.

Twilight started pounding on the door, demanding to be let in.

"DON'T WORRY! THESE SPELLS WON'T HURT YOU THAT MUCH!"

It was at that moment Sweetie Belle found a door that lead to a hidden basement. And with Twilight now considering to start burning the shop down, both Belles jumped.

And thus they landed, into the dark depths below.
