Cupcake Something Something
Pinkie Pie was bored, she had nothing to do, but lay on a table, watching ponies pass by outside from the view out the window. Boredom took over her brain and she wanted nothing more but to do something entertaining. Too bad, she had run out of interest for things. Running out of ideas of fun things to do was heartbreaking and depressing.
So, even though it was the fifteenth million time she had made anything pastry related, she made up her mind to make cupcakes. She went to the cupboard, took out the ingredients and mixed all of it together into a bowl. Then, she had an idea, why not add some interesting ingredients to the mix for some fun results? She looked to her collection of oddities in the adventure cabinet that kept all of her memorabilia from the times with her friends. Inside, she took out a piece of Poison Joke, Zap Apple Jam, and a smidgen of grounded dragon scale that she got from Rarity, who also got it from that flimsy dragon.
Into the mix it went, it gave a light-blue rainbow color to its texture. She plopped the mix into a set of plastic cupcake holders and threw into the oven. A few minutes later, the oven dinged and she grabbed some mittens to pull them out. When she eyed the finished cakes, they were a beautifully creamy rainbow of color. It wasn't enough that they were so colorful, but the smell was to die for. Something akin to the scent of bavarian cream from those "fancy shmancy" cooks down in Canterlot.
She picked up a cupcake and took a quick bite, it was absolutely delicious. Having the flavor of the jam with the bitterness of the Poison Joke, and the crunch of the dragon scale was not bad at all.
Then, something odd happened, she looked at her hoof, it was much longer than before. Before you knew it, her mane and tail started to flow like a puffy cloud and she felt a horn and something on her back. Suddenly, her wings stretched open and she screamed.
"I have wings!? and a Unicorn horn!?" said Pinkie surprised.
She looked around herself and noticed how much taller she was. Her head basically about to hit the ceiling. Running out of Sugar Cube Corner, she flew into the sky while making a loud "Wahoooo".
Meanwhile...
Twilight sipped her coffee on the nice living room floor. Letting the page turn onto its side eagerly, she couldn't help herself from reading this curious tome that Princess Celestia gave her last night. It seemed not completely out of the ordinary, just a basic story retelling of a group of nameless heros who fight monsters and villains across Equestria. What was odd is the fact that Celestia gave it to her personally in the middle of the night to find out the significance to what was in store. So far, after reading the book from beginning to end, there wasn't anything particular to see. There was no author sure, and the heros weren't given names, but it read like any old tome from probably some random author who thought it mysterious to not display his identity. Well, she wasn't going to buy that, especially the fact that its an uninteresting, unimportant, children's tale.
Twilight closed the book, exhausted from being up so late. She surely was still curious to what this tome could be about, but she needed to get some sleep. Suddenly, a knock on the front door to the Library. Twilight picked up her tired limbs and went to the door, it must have been Pinkie Pie since today they had a scheduled meeting to discuss about Discord and Fluttershy. The two were awfully close and always hanging out all the time. Twilight had her suspicions, yet didn't have anything concrete to go completely out with. A turn at the door and it was the Cutie Mark Crusaders, watching her with their big eyes.
"Oh hey! Twilight, we were wonderin if we could find our Cutie Marks in yer library." said Applebloom enthusiastically.
"Why would you girls want to come here?"
"Well, Mrs. Cheerilee told us that the best way to find yourself is a quest for knowledge." said Sweetie Belle. "And we can't find another library to go to."
Twilight shrugged, smiling at the endless quest of theirs. It seemed so odd that they desperately wanted their cutie marks so badly. Either way, they were just foals, and it was best not to interfere.
"Look girls, I have so much work to do, and I need to get some sleep. So, maybe next time?"
"Please, oh please, Twilight! We need to get our Cutie Marks somehow!" said Scootaloo, eyes gleaming with desperation.
"Oh, I don't know..."
"Please! Please! Please!." the three chanted continuously.
"Okay! Okay! You can hang around until Pinkie Pie comes? Is that a deal?"
The three burst past Twilight with a loud, happy, yay and started chanting "Crusade at Twilight's Place!" over and over again. Twilight smiled sheepishly at the shenanigans the three might do. Other than that, she receded into her room while the Cutie Mark Crusaders picked up some books from the shelf. Suddenly, a knock on the door and The Cutie Mark Crusaders groaned at the idea it might be Pinkie Pie.
Applebloom approached the door and opened it reluctantly to find Pinkie Pie in complete alicorn form. The three gasped at her new visage and made their way to the new “maybe-god”.
"Wow, Pinkie Pie, you're an alicorn!" said Scootaloo.
"Yea! Your mane is absolutely majesticer en such." said Applebloom.
"Oh you guys! What are you doing in Twilight's home? Shouldn't you be going on adventures?"
"Yea, but were tired of searching for nothing, no matter what we do, we don't have our marks." said Sweetie Belle sadly.
"Well, hey! I can give you guys Cutie Marks! I'm an alicorn duh!"
"Really!?" The three said in unison.
"Alright girls! Just hold still, its gonna be quick."
Pinkie Pie held her horn up, it swirled with powerful alicorn energy and Pinkie fired at the three before the blast missed them and instead hit the book that stood in the wooden chair that Twilight sat in. The book sizzled with a magical aura and a magical explosion blinded all four of them. They opened their eyes to find two armored equine figures staring at them. One was in stirling white silver while the other had jagged black spikes on his pauldrons.
"What realm is this? This seems quite odd for a place to slay a evil demon!" said the stirling one.
"Maybe this is some type of trick... OH my Goodness! Look at these adorable little girls!" said the dark one.
The dark one quickly picked up the three girls with a swoop and squished them close as he giggled happily.
"No! Polteture! Don't touch them! It might be a magical trick."
"Please, relax Knighting, these cutey papooties wouldn't hurt a fly, isn't that right young ones?"
"I can't breath..." said Scootaloo.
Polteture loosened his grip on The Cutie Mark Crusaders and let them softly plop on the ground. They got up and trotted back behind the protection of Pinkie Pie's legs.
"Polteture! Look! That long legged equine! She must be controlling the fillies for her devious schemes! We must free them from her grasp."
"What!? You monstrous Pink thing! I will destroy you!"
"Wait, there must be a misunderstandi-" said Pinkie Pie before being interrupted.
Polteture clubbed Pinkie in the jaw, it sent her flying through the door until a tree broke her and the broken door's fall.
"Don't worry children! We will keep you safe from her evil ways." said Polteture.
"Wait, you don't understand! She's not a-" said Scootaloo.
A blast of pink energy slammed into Polteture's armor, causing him to reel.
NO PONY MESSES WITH THE PINK!
Pinkie Pie flew in and crashed into Polteture's chest where she flew and crashed into the ceiling, going higher and higher.
"Unhand me demon!" said Polteture.
NO PONY MESSES WITH THE PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINK!
She screamed as she flew down.
STOP!!
Pinkie Pie, in mid flight, stopped herself before she could pile drive Polteture to oblivion. She flew frozen, like in stasis with her "enemy" held close to the ground. Twilight Sparkle watched them both angrily.
"It wasn't me! Honest, he clubbed me and..."
"Atatatat! Not a word Pinkie Pie!" said Twilight. "Now, please let him go."
Pinkie released him to the ground and let him scuffle up.
"Now, say sorry."
"Sorry I almost piledrived you to your death." said Pinkie sadly.
"Now, fix what you have done."
Pinkie Pie flared her horn once again, the beam touched both Polteture and Knighting. A flash of light from them both and then into the book they returned, from open, it closed by itself. Then, Pinkie suddenly returned to her old self.
"What? Aww, I liked being an alicorn!"
"Look, whatever you did, Pinkie, please don't do again."
"Aww shucks Twilight, I'm sorry, I just got really rowdy."
"Great now all of you get out of here! I need to fix my Treehouse!"
The Cutie Mark Crusaders and Pinkie Pie went back to their homes, leaving Twilight to fix her house.
