She Won't Wake Upby FuzzygeckoTheDisturbedChaptersDream Away- SadEternity Alone- Tragedy/Romance/CrossoverColorless- Dark/RomanceDream Away- SadI can't feel much. Being practically joined with the moon doesn't really have many benefits. Other than not having your head explode. I can still see though. Damn, I wish I couldn't. Equestria looks so small. I mean, when you're the moon, everything looks small. But Equestria just looks... small. Compared to everything out here, even I feel small. Just a tiny speck... nothing important. And I thought I was so special, when really... I was just dust compared to all this. I wish I could tell my sister I just want to go home. That's all. But I cant. Because I'm a monster. I tried to take over Equestria, I tried to kill my sister. Funny how now, she's the only pony I'm not mad at. It took me 500 years just to realize she actually cared about me. Forget how she basically raised me, helped me get my cutie mark, and is now raising my moon for me. Forget how she told me she loved me every night, calmed me when I was angry, comforted me when I was sad... oh Celestia... Like I said, it's pretty lonely up here. Mostly leads me to talking to myself, or more like thinking, since I don't really have a mouth. I sometimes lose my train of thought and don't remember what I was thinking about. But the thing I look forward to most is my dreams. Being joined with the moon means I don't have to eat, or breathe or anything, but I still need to sleep. Sometimes when I do, I have dreams. Now, being the Princess of the Night does mean I am also the Princess of Dreams... or the Princess of Nightmares. But that's not why I enjoy them most. In my dreams, I can be whoever I want to be. I can do whatever I want to do. I don't have to be Nightmare Moon. I don't have to be a monster. In my dreams, I even have a friend. Her name is Starlight. We do fun things together, and nopony is pointing, or screaming. There are no Elements of Harmony to whisk me up to the moon again. I can just be... me. Starlight makes me feel like a pony again. That was a very long time ago, but whenever I dream Starlight's adventure's turn me into a fun-loving filly, and I love every second of it. All my friends are dead now, but Starlight never ages. She's the same as she's always been. Even though I haven't aged since forever, I still feel like a totally different mare. Dreaming takes me away from the nightmare I have become... and the nightmare I am. And when my view of Equestria shifts, signaling dawn, all I can do is dream. Dream... The night lasts forever here. The stars are really bright though, so that's ok. I can see perfectly, and the path under my hooves is shining and smooth. Here, I can still breathe. The air tastes cool, and nice. A soft breeze drifts past and ruffles my hair, which is purple. I am just a regular pony, enjoying the night, and I like it. Starlight walks up the path towards me. Her soft blue hair floats in the breeze, its long curls brushing my face as she approaches me. "What are we going to do today?" I ask. "I was thinking about going down to the pond today. We could catch frogs." Starlight grins like a schoolfilly. "And go swimming," I add. "Swimming is fun." Starlight shivers. "I don't like swimming much. But I could, if you want." I nod, and we continue our trot towards the pond. The stars are so beatiful, making so many constellations in the sky. And then there's the moon. When I look at the moon, I feel like i'm looking at myself. Up there, all alone... but i'm not alone. I have Starlight. And we are going to the pond, to swim. The path lights our way, and I can see the shimmering light go far into the distance, and touch the horizon before disappearing. If we keep walking, I bet we'll reach the town. If I want. But for now, Starlight and I are going to swim. The pond shines a strange silver color instead of blue. It reminds me of moonlight. No, I don't like that. I don't like that at all. The pond should be blue, the grass should be green, the sky should be dotted with clouds... but its not. Starlight looks up at me with her violet eyes and her star-shaped ears twitch with worry. "Are you ok Luna?" she whispers. Is that fright I here in her voice? I don't know, because the pond is drifting away. The starry sky widens and engulfs everything around me. My hooves scramble for the ground as it dissolves under them. I don't want to leave. I don't want to go. But I have to. Because it's only a dream. Eternity Alone- Tragedy/Romance/CrossoverAlicorns aren't as immortal as one might think. Sure, they can't be infected by disease and heal faster than regular ponies, at the end of the day, they are just as mortal as anypony else. Especially when they're sitting in the front of a taxi-wagon when it crashes. Bill Cipher's jet black hooves shook as he trotted down the blinding white hallway. The smell of chemicals and death filled his nose and made him want to vomit. But he still continued his steady stride to the hospital room. Luna's hospital room. That was it. Cipher's hooves broke into a full-on canter. Screw the "rules". By the time the stallion reached Room 624, his black mane was plastered to his neck. His black top hat was askew and his bow tie had become untied. But none of that mattered right now. "William?" A weak voice broke the icy silence. Bill's breathing stopped short at the sight of the once-glorious Princess of the Night. Lying upon the snowy covers of the hospital bed was a broken bird. What was meant to soar once was now held down by strings of tubing, bandages, and slings. It slowly lifted its head, and several teeth were registered in Bill Cipher's brain as missing. "L-Luna?" his voice cracked. The bird smiled. A sweet, helpless, beautiful smile. William Cipher suddenly felt something warm and damp on his cheek. A Tear. He was crying. William Cipher was crying. Never in his long, tiresome life had Bill ever cried. Sure, he had faked it a couple time to mess with ponies (Especially Pine Tree), but never had he ever, truly, cried. As those hot tears poured down his face, Luna whispered something quietly. "Come here." Bill's lifeless hooves moved towards the hospital bed without him realizing it. Princess Luna lifted her one good arm and wrapped it around Cipher's neck, pulling him close. The foreign tears had now filled his eyes and blurred his vision so that all he could see was colorful blobs. He felt Luna's soft fur encasing him in a warm blanket. Bill drank in her sweet perfume. This wasn't right. The dream demon was supposed to be comforting her, not her comforting him! She was the one who was just in a wagon accident, for Celestia's sake! The covers of the cot shifted and Bill Cipher tried to pull himself away from Luna. William needed to tell her it was OK, that he was here for her, not wallowing in his sorrow waiting for Luna to save him! The Princess' ethereal mane floated past William's cheek and tickled it just as he pulled himself out of Luna's arms- or should I say, arm. He stared into her sparkling, aqua eyes and felt his body inflate. "I love you!" He blurted. "I love you, and I'll always be here for you Luna. No matter what." She pulled him into a kiss, and his warm lips caressed her cool ones. Suddenly, her muscles went slack and she fell, limp in his arms. Flat-line. Colorless- Dark/RomancePonies are dropping dead everywhere. One day they would be perfectly fine, the next they would be... gone. I don't know how its happening! It just doesn't make any sense. I'm trying to find out what kind of disease it is by recording everything I can in my journals, but now they've just become something to help keep me sane. Like, my old diary I had as a filly. Rainbow Dash got sick yesterday. Nobody really knew what had happened when the sky wasn't cleared the next day, but they had their suspicions. Which of course were confirmed when Rainbow's body was found by Fluttershy trying to cheer her up with some homemade cookies. I actually haven't seen Fluttershy in a while... I hope she's alright. Finding Rainbow just got her so worked up. Ugh, everything is just terrible. Pinkie Pie died last week, and- great! Now I'm getting the paper wet! If you're reading this, sorry about that. I just really miss her and all... so many ponies are just spent! Global trade has almost entirely stopped, and food and supplies are quite scarce. Why, I couldn't even find a pencil to write this entry with! The one thing thing just don't understand though-the one thing science just can't explain- is why do we deserve this? For Celestia's sake, what did we ever do to deserve this? Equestria was a beautiful land full of magic and friendship. Now, the closest thing I see to friendship is the occasional sharing of food. No more laughter, no more cheer. Pinkie Pie being gone really doesn't help- but I can't keep dwelling over that. If I don't figure this out, everypony might die, and then what? Celestia and Luna are counting on me to fix this, and I can't let them down. They haven't caught the disease yet, but who says they can't? They're protected from regular viruses, but this one is so advanced who knows what could happen? And, there is the possibility of myself getting sick. Why, I haven't gone outside since two weeks ago! Spike gets the newspaper, and the food rations from Sugarcube Corner, but... I have to stop thinking about Pinkie! She's in a better place now- I hope. I'm running out of ink. The next shipment isn't till next month, and I even get it earlier than everypony else because of my research. I just hope that everything will turn out alright, in the end. And, I just feel so selfish. Making Spike go out there everyday, with no way of knowing he will be safe. I make sure he takes every precaution he can- not touching or talking to anypony except those he needs to, and disinfecting him every time he comes home. He even wears a face mask! One time, he got a cut so I wouldn't let him go out until it healed. I had to go then, and the world looked exhausted. Just completely colorless. I have to go to bed. Until next time, Twilight Sparkle
