The hallucinating pegasus steps into the sock-less shoes of Metro-Dade Police Detective James "Sonny" Crockett. Her partner, Detective Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs, is replaced by Applejack.
Miami Vice's dynamic duo are conducting routine surveillance on a mid-level drug dealer's place of business. One unusual client goes inside and is abruptly shot dead after a heated argument. RD and AJ storm in, but the dealer and his accomplices have fled into the night.
As details about the shooting victim emerge, the entire Vice Squad soon realizes that they've stumbled into a conspiracy with potentially earth-shattering consequences.
I can't believe no one's thought of this before; merging two juggernauts of the 80's. It's almost as if the fandom's been saving it for me, given that Miami is my hometown. I'm really looking forward to working on this story. Hopefully it won't take no more than a year to finish, but I'm not making any promises. ;)
