He had been kicking the windshield for God knows how long, the only time telling factor being the stale light from the overhead.
120 kicks...
121...
122...
One last, good strong kick before he gave up.
He kicked his last. Wait...was that a crack? Yes, it was! A tiny, maybe even minuscule, crack. To him it was the tiniest ray of sunshine. An essence of hope in his oxygen-deprived mind.
Two kicks, another crack appearing.
Three, almost there.
Four

Water was rushing in, almost crushing his lungs with the pressure exerted on his body. He fiddled with his seatbelt, getting it undone...
Consciousness fading, he floated to the surface, back up, he could tell that much, as he was nearly blinded by the amount of light his retinas received. He instinctively blinked, the blinding effect slowly leaving him. Now he could properly take in his surroundings. A cluster of trees set on a rocky beach, to far away to reach. What was in reach though was a bright, sunny island, with a sandy beach, and a few trees. Gaining motivation from the sight, he started to swim to it.
Even after he got to it and rested, he was exhausted. Thoughts buzzed through his head like bees in a hive.
Where am I?
Who am I?
Such questions needed to be put aside, as survival needed to be a number one priority.
'What are the needs for survival...?Something like...shelter, water, and food, right?'
'So I guess first would be shelter, better get started on that...' He thought.
Looking at the position of the sun, he estimated it to nearly be noon.'It's nearly noon.'
Gathering suitable branches for a lean-too, he found a good location a sat down in the shade, thinking, wondering, about his past life.

Twilight Sparkle was a very studious pony. So much so that she would spend days at a time with herself locked in her bedroom, just to gain knowledge out of works by Star-Swirl the Bearded, and other authors of the pre-classical era.
She was a frail, purple pony, with a dark magenta mane and tail, with a pink stripe running through them both.
"Twilight!"
Ah. One thing was missing from her day previously. Now here it was. Rainbow Dash coming running to her, well, flying to her, really, yelling about something dangerous.
"What is it, Rainbow?"
"The weather-po-"
"Rainbow, calm down and tell me what's wrong."
Rainbow inhaled.
"The weather-ponies spotted some weird purple thing by the lake! Come quick!"
And so, off they went, going toward a site that would come to be very famous among Twilight's circle of friends.

Tom, as what he decided to call himself, just incase anyone asked, had recently swam to the wreckage of the metal thing, and was now in the process of building several traps, snares, mostly made out of a some sort of wires processed out of the metal...contraption.
It was a rather delicate process, what with all the pulling out of metal wires from their soft, color-coded casings.
"FUCK!"
Another strand of metal broken, meticulous time spent on making the snares lost, and added to an ever growing pile.
Being so preoccupied with his work,he was unaware of the creatures watching him...

As Twilight got closer to the Everfree Forest, a certain set of feelings came upon her.
Fear.
Dread.
Maybe more than a little curiosity.
...And excitement at the prospect of discovering something new.
Upon reaching the forest, she paused, almost hesitantly, finalizing her decision to go into the Everfree.
She quickly made up her mind, before walking on the path that went deeper into the Everfree.

Night had fallen whilst Tom had worked on his snares, as he was now setting things up so as to prevent wild animals from stealing his, while small, very important food sources.
His fire was doing a good job of that now that he slept. However, all was not well in dreamland.
