The Failed Siege! - Chapter One

6 hooded figures began surrounding the boy and his team, there were 4 party members in total, they were in a cross shaped formation.
They were trying their best to find a weakness to these figures, while the hooded ones themselves were practically wandering around them in a circle in an eerie fashion, like they were waiting to attack at a random spot.
One of the hooded figures hopped and went to go stab at them, to which the fellpool used some sort of flame whip spell to counter and with succession, he managed to hit the figure right in the neck. The hooded figure was out for the count already and this made the remaining figures take a step back, this gave the boy an opening to go in for the kill while the rest of the gang could take care of the rest of the figures.
The fellpool boy ran out of the corrupted circle and went straight for the king in his throne, putting his katana to the right hand's side and holding his hand out and charging something with his left and he shot straight for the king as a needle of ice went straight to his forehead however within the split second, the King simply dodged his head to the side and let the needle of ice penetrate the golden throne behind him.
"Grr!" The boy growls as he kept running at the king and jumping toward him with his katana, ready to kill, but before he could do that, two of the hooded figures grabbed him on both arms and forced him to the ground. "AGH!!!" He screamed in pain from the tight clutches of their gauntlets.
The king got up. "It is unfortunate... If you were to stay there with your friends, you might of been able to save them..." He said while grabbing his large Zweihander.
Kyo was then forced onto his knees, while still in pain however he had to see the status of his fr-- [END SONG]

They were all dead... All of them.
The bodies of his now ex-teammates laid on the ground of the entrance...
His girlfriend mage - Beheaded.
His best friend tank - Impaled on daggers.
And his trusted scout - Throat was cut.
He only looked on in horror at his fallen love and comrades, he felt nothing but tears falling down his cheek and even a few sobs, unaware that the old king was standing right in front of him.
"Pitiful... Here I was thinking that the 'chosen one' would of been perfect to finally lay rest to this old man... But I guess I was wrong..." He grabs his zweihander and with his marvelous strength, lifts it above his head, ready to strike.
The boy flinched, hoping that it would end quick. But for some reason no impact was made, instead only the sound of metal clanking behind the old man, which causes him to open his eyes.
The old king looks at him and smiles. "On second thought... I have one plan for you." He puts a hand on the boy's forehead. "I'm not evil, I just simply love war... Your friends are nothing personal... But now, I'm going to give you time to think... Indefinitely." He said as he then picked the boy up by his neck.
With the king's free hand, he makes a fog wall appear. "I have won, young one... That meteor that's bound to crash into this dreaded earth will be here in an hour, and this land... This world... Will be no more and NO living soul will be here to stop that... Farewell 'Chosen Hero'." He simply says as he then threw him into the fog with the last of his strength before it closed permanently.
The king simply laughs. "Leave the bodies here, they'll all be non-existent within an hour anyways, let us feast until death." He says with all of them laughing and following the king to the eatery.

As the boy was thrown into and came out of the fog, he appeared in what seemed to be some kind of forest.

The boy lands on the grass with a soft swish, his arms bleeding from the piercing gauntlets and eventually ended up laying on his back, the entire ordeal left him crying over the loss of his comrades and his loved one. "...Mimi..."
He just laid there as a punishment for himself as he couldn't face the families of the fallen, though it would never matter as the meteor was soon about to fall onto them, but the more he stared at the sky, the more he realized...
The sky isn't red, in fact it's normal than it has been for years, a natural sky blue. He blinked a bit and shot up to a sitting position, wondering if this was the afterlife.
After looking around and noticing the fog wall was gone, and with a distinct lack of team-mates to be found, his curiosity and confusion only got worse, he gets up to his feet but not before wavering faintly. "A..agh... I'm losing a couple of pints here... I better heal this up..." He said to himself as he went to his side pack to get some sort of healing potion, he puts the bottle in his hand and inserts it into his chest.
The liquid glows green, healing and energizing the body, luckily they were minor wounds in comparison to his comrades, to which he kept grieving.
He never wanted to accept it, but after a few minutes he learns that not every hero can have it perfect, by now the world should of been destroyed, no survivors.
He noticed a bright sparkle up on the sky and a extremely distant explosion. "!... That was..." He couldn't believe it, but he managed to avoid death and that fog wall was a gateway to another planet, at least that's what his theory was. "This can't be real... No way... I'm in an uncharted world."
If there was people here or sentient races, he'd have to realize that his 'Gy' (Currency) would hold no place here, but he'd probably save the coins in case he's willing to trade them off as some otherworldly valuables, but for keep sakes, he stored a gold, silver and bronze coin in a separate bag for sentimental value.
As he thought of this, he couldn't help but keep coming back to his friends and comrades, but it didn't matter anymore, his old life now possibly gone in a blink of an eye, he had to accept this was his new home.
And what better way to do that, than to travel! ... "Oh Goddess, even happy thoughts make me depressed..." He said to himself as he began walking down a path. He realized that despite it being afternoon, it was pretty dark.

Hearing rustling, he had to stop for a brief moment to confirm that he was being followed. By what or whom, he had no clue, but he unsheathed his Uchigatana just in c-- Oh wait, now you remember. You got disarmed and it got destroyed, along with everything you ever loved in that world. "Damn..."
So without much to go by, he had to discard his sheath and grab a branch instead.
It looked like it was enough to knock out a critter and make his escape, but if worse comes to worst, he can use his magic. After the rustling stopped, Kyo kept his guard up, but he hurried along to find a safe place.
He began running along the path more, along the way he heard growling and more rustling and then eventually, a creature jumps out of the bushes.

It looked like a mixture of a lion, scorpion and a bat mixed together into an abomination. "! What the hell?!" He got into a stance, but before he could do that, the creature swiped at him.
The claw made impact and slashed Kyo's chest, knocking him on his back. "Agh!" He yelps in pain, but then he jumps back up to his feet in an umeki. "That all?" After he got back onto his feet, he puts a hand out facing the beast. "Ice Needle!" he shouts as it shoots out of his palm and into the beast's leg, which did make it wince, but he gave it a reason to counter with another swipe.
He blocked with the branch, but then it broke, on the bright side it softens the swipe and got him sent on his ass, grunting and getting up. "Damn this new world... Not even 5 minutes and I'm already getting my ass handed..." He said as he was bleeding, once again making him weak again from the blood he lost before and after the raid, not to mention the over-use of his magic during that didn't really help.
"If I die here, I won't be able to... Face anyone..." He said while dodging another swipe from the abomination, but as he did the tail went directly for his chest, to which he briefly dodged but the tail instead impaled his shoulder. "AGHHH!!" He yells out in agony.
Kyo couldn't handle this anymore, the pain and no doubt the poison now in his system was enough reason for him to counter, and he had to do it FAST. "DEEP FREEZE!!" He shouts in mid-agony as he puts a hand on the tail, causing the entire beast to be encased in ice.
Just as he did so, he pulled the tail out, causing blood and poison to be dripping to the ground. He was SO screwed.

He couldn't rest, he had to run down the pathway and hoped for civilization of some kind, hoping he had some sort of serum in his side-pack, he found an Antidote, but he has no idea if that'll work.
So he goes ahead and jabs it into his chest, hoping for the poison to clear off his system, even if it didn't, it at least bought him some time.
He kept running for help, but in the meantime, he looked for another healing potion, but it seems that he no longer had spares. "D..damn-it.." He had to make do with nothing.
Sadly, whether or not it was due to his body reacting to the poison, or if losing a lot of blood had anything to do with it, he collapses to the ground, his breathing becomes erratic and he couldn't move his body.
Yep, this was definitely poison...
It must be some sort of paralyzing side effect...
So... Sleepy...
