Led by Twilight Sparkle, a team of scientists invent a serum that gives it's user a special ability, typically related vaguely to their special talent, and Equestria is happy. However, other countries don't like the idea that they will be even more outshined by the Sun Princess' kingdom. Meanwhile, a rogue scientist finds this work and modifies it, amplifying it's output, but with a dark twist.
