What happened little girl?
"So what happened here?" A white unicorn asked as he walked up to a few stallions who were examining the body in the room.
"Well, we currently don't know the primary cause of death, but we can tell that according to the cuts around the mouth we can conclude that before the throat was slashed what ever did this probably used something sharp and thick to muffle the screams from him while it slashed out his throat, before the thing ripped the head open and ripped the skull out. Then most likely something caught it's attention over at that wall and when it went to go see what it was it burst through the wall and saw something out the window and went after it. We don't know if this was a targeted murder or just a random killing." A red stallion said as he stood up from examining the body.
"So we don't know who or what did this?" The stallion chief asked putting a hoof to his chin.
"Yes sir." The red stallion said.
"Damn. Can you get anything else from the body?" The chief asked.
"We might be able to if we can take it to the morgue for more examination." The stallion said as he took another look at the body.
"Um excuse me, but I think I can help." A voice said as the chief turned around to be greeted by the sight of a lavender unicorn and a small yellow pegasus
"Hello Twilight. And who's the little pegasus that's with you?" The chief asked.
"Well this is the pony that witnessed what went down here, and we both saw what did this and we both might know how to keep it away." Twilight said as everypony stopped what they were doing and looked at the two of them.
"You can help us then. Little girl what happened here?" The chief asked as he sat down on his haunches.
"First off my name is Little Light and it wasn't another pony that did this. It was a creature with the head and tail of a cobra, a big
body, razor sharp claws, dragon-like wings, and a small dragon-like creature was with it." The pegasus said as she sat down on her haunches and looked into the eyes of the chief pony.
"Okay. That's one question answered. Can you tell us how you managed to escape this monster?" The chief asked.
"Okay I escaped by going through the emergency shafts,, and flew to Ponyville where we learned that it can't be in the light. The light hurts the creature." Little Light said.
"And it can travel at speeds even Rainbow Dash can't reach." Twilight said as she sat down next to Little Light.
"Damn, that mother bucker must be a fast bitch. Oh pardon my language." The chief said remembering that there was a little kid in the room.
"It's okay, oh, and before I forget, the creature can fly and slither on the air." Little-princess said as she remembered the animal it was eating in mid-air.
Up in the outer reaches of the planets atmosphere, Samus Aran was reading a book the GFMC had given her to read. While she was reading her ships console lit up.

She put the book down and stood up to access the message
Scans show biological signature of creature not native to the planet hostile creature just made an attack. Coordinates being sent now, intervention highly recommended.
"Well this is an interesting turn of events." She said as walked to the rear of her ship which housed a circular plate on the floor surrounded by other forms of equipment. Standing in the middle of it and after tying up her hair in a ponytail with a red band, she keyed in a few commands on the console, bringing everything to life. Samus spread her legs slightly and held her arms out as a small anti-gravity field suspended her about a foot in the air. Satisfied that everything was running its natural course, she sighed in contentment and closed her eyes, putting her full trust in the mechanics of what was essentially her home.
Two mechanical arms combined orange and yellow armor over her lower body, sealing the two parts together and encasing her long and toned legs in nigh impenetrable armor. Black underlay was added as necessary as the largest armor set was attached to her torso. The golden abdominal armor was of a more flexible material to allow for natural breathing cycles. Next was her breast and back plates, with the former jutting outwards and forming a ridge on account of her bust. Finally, her arms met the same fate as they were encased in their own armor, although her hands donned a more flexible form of the exoskeleton to allow for full use of her digits. The forearm of her right appendage was left without any protection, making way for her weapon, the Arm Cannon, to slide over it and connect to her elbow plate. The arm armor was then connected to the entire exoskeleton with two large, spherical shoulder plates, completely flanking her head on either side. At last, the gravity disengaged and Samus was set on her feet with a resounding metal "clink." Her Chozo exoskeleton lit up green on several points; especially the top of her hands and two slits on the breastplate.
The suit was now active with The Powered Armorsuit that was largely biological in nature, and bound to her, was once again summoned for duty. Samus normally didn't have to have each and every part of her Varia Suit put on her body, for she could easily equip and unequip it by keying in a few commands on her Arm Cannon or arm (or simply willing it by her conscious thought). However, the suit had to physically come off once in a while, usually after large amounts of time being deployed, so it could be cleaned and repaired.
"Well better send a message to the Galactic Federation. Computer send message to Galactic Federation." Samus spoke with a firm voice. The ships console lit up once again as Samus wrote the message.
Hostile creature has been spotted on the planet Equis in sector 1.049.Going to the surface to help in anyway possible and to take the creature out. Requesting back-up equipment.
End Transmission.
"Well now that the transmission has been sent better get down to the surface and get to work." Samus said as she set the coordinates into the computer and started to drift into the planets atmosphere.
*A few days later*
"Well, this is where the coordinates say the creature attacked." Samus said as she landed her orange plated ship in a small field outside of an old abandoned shack three miles from the closest town. Her sensors detected no advanced technology of this place, meaning that they had yet to develop space flight. Galactic Federation protocol stated that non-space flight planets were to be untouched. However, Samus was a bounty hunter, the laws didn't apply to her. Still, it would be best to avoid the locals as much as possible. "Now to go investigate the area where the creature attacked." Samus said to herself as she activated her suits cloaking device and started to walk towards an old barn. She held her arm cannon at a semi-passive angle. Samus was about three feet from the barn when she heard a twig snap. Upon instinct she turned around to face what had caused the twig to snap and pointed her arm cannon at the source.
"Whoa hold up."
Well this is new. Samus thought to herself as she lowered the barrel of the arm cannon and checked to see if her helmets translator was on. "Whats your name?" Samus demanded.
"My name is Sharp Wits." A medium sized earth pony said as she stood up.
"Will you come with me for a little while Sharp Wits?" Samus asked as she relaxed her guard.
"Sure, and all I know about the monster attack is that it attacked a small shack about two to three miles that way and there was a survivor. She's a little pegasus filly and right now she's in Ponyville with Twilight, she lives in the only tree house library at the center of town. So if I were you I would put that rock down and start heading over to Twilights." Wits said as she raised a hoof pointing to the south.
Damn, how did she know I was going to do that? Samus thought as she charged a small concussive beam she forged from a few other beams that was supposed to knock an enemy out cold for a few minutes and erase all memory for the past few minutes. "So how did you know that I was going to ask about the monster attack and that I was going to knock you out with a rock?" Samus asked as she dropped the rock and slowly raised her arm cannon.
"Because even though I'm as stubborn as a mule, I have fought spirits that could kill you just by uttering a single word. I have fought spirits that are almost impossible to kill. To make a long story short, I have way more experience in my pupils than you have in all the universes and galaxies that you've been in. Oh and I don't know much about Equestria so you going have to go to Twilight to find out more. Tell her Ah mak fula, shul ak dsh, cohak shalt hoct shalkt, usam lakt masu. She will know what that means."
"Thanks that's all I needed to know." Samus said as she released the charged blast right at Wits' head. "Now that she's out I can go talk to this Twilight." Samus said as she started walking to Ponyville.
"So what's going to happen to my father?" Little Light asked as she and Twilight got back to the library.
"Well he's going to get patched up and have a funeral. Do you have any relatives you can stay with?" Twilight asked a little concerned for the citizens of Equestria.
"No I don't." The little pegasus said with a sigh.
"Well you can stay with me until we can find you a home, is that okay?" Twilight asked as she sat down on the couch.
"Yeah that'll be fine." Little Light said as she crawled up onto the couch. At that moment a sound came from the basement. "What was that?"
"I don't know, but I'm going to go see what it is." Twilight said as she got up off the couch and grabbed a small candle and went down into the basement. When Twilight got down in the basement she saw something had fallen from a shelf and the window was open. Better close that window. I don't want that creature getting in here. Twilight thought as she closed the window. Right after she closed the window she heard a hissing sound from behind her. Slowly turning around she stood right in front of the creature. Oh crap. Twilight thought as the creature looked right at her and let out a slow hiss. Remembering its weakness Twilight brought the small candle up in front of her getting a hiss of pain from the creature as it swung its arm and knocked the candle across the room and putting the flame out. Oh crap, I'm fucked. Twilight thought as she backed away slowly. At that moment the door to the basement was kicked open and Samus came sprinting down the steps.
"Twilight get down! Now!" Samus yelled as she fired a missile at the creature. The missile found its mark on the right shoulder of the creature sending it to the other side of the room. Switching to her scan visor, she pressed and held a button once her visor reticle was trained on the creature. The scan finished with three 'beeping' sounds, displaying information on Samus's visor:

Well this will be tough. Samus engaged her combat visor and started to formulate a plan. The Chalotarika swung at her with it claws she fired a charged plasma beam attack, the fire found its mark cutting off its right claw. Samus rolled out of the way from another attack from the creature and fired a super missile, which found its mark right in the gut. After a few minutes of an intense battle Samus was able to scare the creature away as the sun started to set outside. "Man that battle drained me of 60% of my energy and 75% of my missiles. Better do a quick diagnostics just to be sure."

"Well that went better than I expected I was sure that some powers were lost." Samus said genuinely surprised.
“Um excuse me, but who exactly are you and how do you know my name?” Twilight asked the metal clad hunter.
“Oh, sorry. Let me introduce myself. I’m Samus Aran, of the Galactic Federation. The creature I just saved your ass from is why I’m here. So I know your name from an old friend of yours. She said to tell you Ah mak fula, shul ak dsh, cohak shaklt hoct shalkt, usam lakt masu. She said you would know what that mean." Samus said as she extended a hand to help the lavender unicorn up.
"Thanks Ms. Aran." Twilight said as she took the offer and got up.
"Please call me Samus, don't tell anybody of my existence, and do you mind telling me all you can about Equestria and give me any and all maps you have so I can do my work quickly and efficiently?" Samus asked as she pulled Twilight to her hooves.
"Well not telling anypony will be a problem, but getting you maps to Equestria shouldn't." Twilight said as the two of them walked back up the stairs.
"How can not telling others going to be harder than getting maps to Equestria?" Samus asked as they got up into the living room.
"Because I have other ponies that need my help, I got to write weekly letters to the Princess's explaining what I've learned about the magic of friendship, and I have a little filly staying with me for a while. But here are the maps to Equestria and a few books on the history of Equestria. By the way where's Little Light?" Twilight asked as she got down off a ladder and gave the maps and books to Samus and started to look around the room.
"Don't worry when I came in she saw me and ran upstairs. So she's hiding somewhere upstairs and all we need to do is find her and I can get what she knows about the attack and help her over the grieving process." Samus said as she started to walk up the steps calling the little filly's name.
"Why do you think she ran upstairs?" Twilight asked trotting after Samus.
"Because nine out of ten times if someone runs off to hide they hide upstairs, so they can see whats going on downstairs." Samus opened the door to Twilight's room and went over to the closet. "Little Light, you can come out now, the creature has been scared away for now." Samus said as she keeled by the door. As the door slowly opened a little yellow pegasus poked her head out and saw the metal clad human.
"Eeep. The little pegasus yelped as she ducked back into the closet.
"What's wrong with her?" Samus asked as she turned back to Twilight.
"Well to be honest I think she's scared of you." Twilight stated as she trotted over to the closet and slowly opened it. "Little Light, it's okay this is Samus Aran, and she scared that creature away that had somehow got in the basement." Twilight gently said as she reached in and nuzzled the little scared pegasus.
After calming down the little scared pegasus and introducing her to Samus, the three of them sat down and started to tell Samus what they knew and found out about the creature. "Well I think you can get more information on what the creature did if you just scanned the body at the morgue." Little Light said as she slowly relaxed around Samus.
"Why are you still so nervous around me Little Light?" Samus asked as she looked at Little Light as Twilight went into the kitchen to get them some drinks.
“Well, to be honest while you're in that armor you look like a monster.” Little Light said, still slowly relaxing.
“Fair enough, hold on while I disengage my varia suit.” Samus said as she disengaged her varia suit leaving her in her zero suit.
“Well now you look like a friend.” Twilight said as she came into the living room with the drinks.
“Well that’s good, but down to business.” Samus said as she sat back down and started drinking some of the tea Twilight brought.
“The Chalotarika will not rest until we’re all dead, thats how its been an unknown race for so long. So if you want to live you’ll have to do what I say, alright?” Samus asked as she sat the cup down and stared at them.
“Okay.” Twilight said as she sat down next to Little Light.
“Good. Now first off, I might be able to make an antidote if I get a sample of its venom. Can you two take me to where the body is now, I might be able to get what I need from the body.” Samus asked as she thought of a plan.
“That shouldn't be a problem.” Twilight said as she walked over to the window.
“Okay that might help you two get off the hook with the Chalotarika. Next I’ll need to scan the body so I can see if there’s any way to make an antidote. If there is a way to make an antidote I might be able to make a vaccine-strength version of the venom and then you can fake your deaths and with the vaccine-strength venom, the Chalotarika will think you two were bitten, therefore making the creature leave you two alone and come after me. Then you two can get your friends and the princesses and tell them about the whole thing but you can’t tell them about me, are you two following so far?” Samus asked noticing that they were starting to look confused.
“I am, but I’m not entirely sure that Little Light here does.” Twilight said as she looked at the little filly.
“Well first off let me scan the body for the venom so I can make an antidote. Then after it’s made you two will get a dead version of it so it will look like you were bitten.” Samus was cut off by Twilight.
“I can help with faking our deaths, I know a spell that will put us in a temporary death like state.” Twilight said as she got a book with the spell in it.
“Okay that’ll also help, but as I was saying. Before you two fake your deaths, and the Chalotarika goes after me, you two get your friends and the princesses and tell them about the whole thing, but don’t tell them of my existence, so they can help with making it seem real. And afterwards you all hide out in the castle until you get word from me that the creature is gone. Follow now?” Samus asked after summing up the entire plan.
“Yeah I think we do.” Twilight said as she put a hoof around the little fillies neck.
“Well here’s the morgue.” Twilight said as Samus, Little Light and her walked up to the front doors.
“Okay, now how do we get in?” Samus asked as she activated her scan visor.
“Well I can use a teleportation spell to get us inside.” Twilight said as her horn started to glow with a dim purple hue. In a few seconds they were all inside the morgue and walking to where the body was out for display on one of the gurneys. “Well here’s the body do what you have to.” Twilight coughed as she turned around feeling a tad sick.
“It shouldn't take too long.” Samus said as she started to scan the body for a sample of the venom infused blood. “And there is an antidote, but there’s a problem.”
“What’s the problem?” Twilight coughed still turned back to the body.
“Well it seems that the ingredients for the antidote is found on three different planets in this galaxy. Three of them can be found on this planet, the ingredients on this planet are manticore saliva, the seeds of a poison joke flower, and some seeds of truth. Do you think you and Little Light can get those ingredients, while I go get the other ingredients.”
“Sure, no problem.” Twilight said as her stomach settled down.
“Thanks Twilight, when you get them leave them in one of the bags at your library. I’ll be back in a few days.” Samus said as she turned to go out the doors.
“We should have them by tomorrow.” Twilight said as they teleported out the morgue and were by the entrance. “But the image of the body will haunt me forever.”
“Trust me, I've seen worse,” said Samus as she turned to the outskirts of Ponyville. “It’s late and we both need to get to work. Good luck on playing dead. I’ll see you when this is over.”
And with that said Samus rushed into the night, leaving Twilight and Little Light all alone.
The next morning Twilight’s friend arrived one by one at her house, with a notice from Spike saying it was urgent. However, they had to wait until the princesses arrived for her to explain.
“Well while we wait for the princesses to get here, I was asked to get some items for a little project. Will you help me get them?” Twilight asked as Fluttershy arrived with Applejack.
“Sure what are the items?” Fluttershy asked as she sat down.
“Well first I will need you to get some manticore spit, and Applejack will you go to Zecora’s to get some poison joke seeds and some seeds of truth?” Twilight asked.
“We’ll be glad to help ya Twilight.” Applejack said. “But why get these here things? What’s all this about?”
“Plus we heard you got attacked by some monster or something. And a filly is involved,” said Rainbow Dash, noticing Little Light hiding behind Twilight. “Is that here?”
“Yes,” said Twilight, smiling and showing the filly who nodded her head. “This is Little Light. She’s under my care since her.... father died.”
“Oh, you poor dear,” said Rarity, holding her hoof to her lips. “We’re so sorry for your loss.”
Little Light didn't say anything, she just nodded. Pinkie walked over and gave her a sad smile. “Don’t worry, little Lighty. You’re daddy is in a happy place right now.”
“I know... I just miss him,” muttered Little Light as she accepted a hug from Pinkie Pie.
The door knocked and, upon opening it with her magic, smiled upon seeing Princess Celestia and Luna with their guards. “Princesses! Thank goodness you arrived!”
The Princesses smiled before ordering their guards to wait outside and their faces turned serious. “Now, Twilight, what is it that you wanted us all here for? You said it was urgent and that it involved some kind of monster?” asked Celestia, with worry.
The girls and Spike all had wide eyes as they turned toward Twilight who sighed. “It’s a long story...”
It had taken awhile, but she explained everything with what had happened in the past few days. Needless to say the gang was shocked to find a monster so fast and dangerous, Rainbow Dash even wished she could race and beat this thing up. She kept Samus’s name out of it, only remarking it was a unknown hunter who was helping her. She explained why she needed the ingredients, and what they would be used for.
“All that’s left is for me and Little Light to fake our deaths to throw the monster off our trail. I already know the spell, but I wanted to tell you all so that you didn't get sad by our apparent sudden ‘departure’. Plus, I need somepony to get the ingredients for the antidote,” explained Twilight.
“Well, how long will you have to remain, well, dead?” asked Fluttershy.
“Just a few days, maybe a week or two,” answered Twilight.
“Hiding you in the castle will not be hard, Twilight,” said Celesta, “I will also inform your brother, Cadence, and parents about this.”
“So I guess we’ll have to act sad and such for a few days,” said Spike.
“So how are we goin’ to make a fake poison so that monster doesn’t try to bite ya anyway?” asked Applejack.
“That might take some time to do. But shouldn’t take to long to stage and fake our deaths.” Twilight said as she put a hoof to her chin in thought. “Well according to a chemical scan of the poison its basic composition is areethanol, phencyclidine (PCP), ketamine, glutamate, nitric oxide (NO), botulinum toxin, tetanus toxin, and tetrodotoxin. So if we can find a weaker version of each chemical we should be able to make a fake venom, but the side effects will be a slight headache, small pains in the chest, difficulty breathing, and delayed brain function. But overall we should be fine.”
“Okay, so where are we going to find a weaker form of those chemicals, Twilight?” Spike asked.
“Zecora might be able to provide us with some of them.” Celestia offered.
“Okay Applejack you go to Zecora and see if she has any of the chemicals, and Fluttershy you go get some spit from a manticore, while the rest of us stay here and make the library look like the monster got in and killed us. Okay?” Twilight asked making sure everypony knew what the plan was.
“Okay, we got it.” Fluttershy said as she and Applejack left the library to go get the ingredients. After a few minutes the two ponies came back with the ingredients. “Okay we have the stuff you asked for Twilight. Where can we put it?”
“Oh, you can put them down on my desk.” Twilight said as she levitated a pot over to the stove to make the fake venom.
“Okay now what?” Applejack asked as she set the vials down on Twilights desk.
“Now we start making the venom.” After a few hours it was done.
“Well we have the fake venom complete, is the library set up to look like the monster got inside while we were sleeping and bite us?” Twilight asked as she pulled some of the poison into a small syringe.
“Almost done, Twi.” Applejack said.
“Okay, Little Light are you ready?” Twilight asked as she walked up to the little pegasus. After she nodded very slowly Twilight reached down with the syringe and injected it into the little girls leg.
“Ouch!” Little Light yelped. After she gave herself a shot of the poison, the two of them walked up the stairs and got into their beds so it will look like they were sleeping when they were bitten.
“Should we leave and then ya cast the spell, or do ya want us to stay until ya cast the spell, Twi?” asked Applejack.
“Maybe you should all leave then I cast the spell, that way it’ll be more believable.” Twilight stated as she started to charge up her horn. “I still don’t know if the spell will affect everypony in the room or not. Make sure to come in the morning and pretend to be crying and shocked when you see us.”
“Well okay, ah hope it works,” Applejack said as she and the others started to leave the room. When everyone was out of the room, Twilight’s horn started to glow brighter and brighter before it released a flash of bright light. After the slight disappeared Twilight and Little Light collapsed backwards on the bed temporarily lifeless.
The plan worked and the next morning the Mane Five and Spike had discovered Twilight Sparkle and Little Light dead in their sleep. All of Equestrian mourned the loss of the Element of Magic as Princess Celestia tearfully asked for a day of silence for their loss. Of course, Twilight’s friends and family had only pretended to be sad and used the two days leading up to the funeral to get the required ingredients without much trouble. Although Fluttershy did hear from the very manticore she had gotten the spit from that the monster Twilight had described had been seen in the Everfree Forest, prompting a few guards to be placed in the area.
In her will, Twilight requested that her funeral be held in Ponyville and the event was scheduled for today. It wasn’t hard for the others to act sad (Pinkie saying it was like doing a prank only a bit less “ha ha” and more “boo hoo”), and preparations were made at town hall. While everypony gathered at the town hall they saw two different sized caskets, both see through. Lying in the small casket was a little yellow pegasus with her fore hooves crossed over her chest, and a bundle of bright red roses being held by both hooves. In the larger casket laid a medium sized lavender unicorn, in the same position as the pegasus beside her. All around the caskets were bundles of flowers and pictures of their friends and family. The lavender unicorn wore a silky soft dress while she wore the crown that marked her as the element of magic. The pegasus wore a silky soft dress just like the unicorns dress.
As Princess Celestia walked up onto the small stage she pretended to choke back tears as she spoke.
"Dear citizens!" called Celestia to the crowd, pausing for effect. "Today, we commemorate the great courage and sacrifice of our Princess Twilight Sparkle and her young associate " The assembly quieted, quickly falling to silence as the solemnity of the moment pervaded the atmosphere.
"I do not believe any of you could argue the point that Miss Sparkle did not benefit this town." The princess pointed a hoof at a yellow pegasus. "Mrs. Raindrops, you were there when Nightmare Moon appeared, in all her horrid shadows, intent on destroying the light of our land. The mare we've all come to know as a princess, now so sadly silent, didn't cower in a corner as we all did. No! She tried her hardest to fight this new juggernaut, saving not only Equestria, but Equis as well."
The mare's voice grew in volume as he recounted the bravery, virtue, and accomplishments of Twilight. The crowd, one by one, began to shed tears, as the full weight of what they had lost set in.
"But let us not forget her companion to the grave," the speaker resumed after a moment to silence. This young, little pegasus told us about the monster attack, helped reveal its weakness, and reveal its nature, and manner of its attack pattern, and how it kills its prey just for the fun of it. This brave, young, little pegasus’s name is Little Light. Like I said before, let us not forget the ponies before us heroism, and sacrifice” Celestia paused for a moment before she continued.
"But as we exit this communion today, leave not with a heavy heart nor wetted eyes. Twilight was many things, but selfish she was not. Though we will mourn her passing, we must not be consumed by it. She would not wish for this. And that is something we can all agree on." The princesses eyes stared into the distance, as if she were searching for something. A minute passed, and she returned her thoughts to the ponies before her. A quiet "Amen." could be heard.
