Celestia's sun was suspended in the sky at the five O-clock position. The day would move on as any other except for one. Rainbow Dash was kicking clouds that were accumulating in the sky on their own. Apple Jack was at her stand selling apples. Rarity was designing her next fashion line in her boutique. Spike was organizing the piles of books to their spots on the shelf's. Twilight's concentration was deeply focused on a new book. Twilight's focus was swiftly averted when Rainbow Dash came barreling through the door. "Have you seen any of the pegusi? I can't seem to find any of them." Dash said flying all around the library. "No. I haven't seen any of them. Why?" Twilight answered. "These clouds keep coming in from the Everfree forest. Cloud Chaser and Derpy are supposed to be helping keep the sky clear." "Why are clouds coming in from the Everfree?" Twilight said a little confused. "I don't know! They just keep coming and if this keep ups I'm going to miss my picnic with Fluttershy." Dash flew back out the door. "That's odd." Twilight said to herself. "Spike, I'm heading out to see what's going on. You stay here and continue to clean up." Twilight walked out the door. Twilight walked around Ponyville looking out for any pegusi. Twilight decided to head for Fluttershy's cottage. She walked along the gravel road s Fluttershy's cottage came into view. When Twilight got there the door was wide open. She entered the cottage and saw that all the little woodland creatures anywhere to seen and neither was Fluttershy. Twilight wondered around to all the possible places Fluttershy could be. Twilight walked back into town and saw Apple Jack selling apples. "Twilight!" Apple Jack waved. "Great to see you. did you finish your new book already?" "No, actually I'm looking for Fluttershy and the other pegusi. Have you seen any?" Twilight said. "Only Rainbow." Apple Jack pointed upwards at Rainbow Dash flying all over the place trying to keep the sky clear. Dash wasn't able to keep up with the amount of clouds that were coming in. After a few minutes the sky was completely covered in clouds except for an open spot in the middle of the town. By now every pony was gathered in the town square as the Mayer walked up to the podium. "Calm down every pony. I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation for all this." The Mayer said looking just as worried as every other pony. Then suddenly from the hole in the clouds came a silver pod. Rainbow Dash quickly swooped to save the Mayer. Just as Rainbow started flying away with the Mayer the pod crashed into city hall causing a large cloud of dust to spread throughout the town, covering every pony. Twilight illuminated her horn and cleared the dust away. When the dust was cleared the only ponies left were Twilight all her friends. Twilight looked around trying to spot any other pony. It was just her and her friends. City hall was now a pile of splinters. In the center of the recage lay the pod that had fallen from the sky. The five friends slowly made their way closer to the pod. "What d'ya think it is?" Apple Jack asked looking at the silvery colored pod. "I don't know, but whatever you do don't-" "Ooh! Shinny!" Pinkie interrupted Twilight putting up a hoof to touch the reflective surface. "Pinkie! NO!" Twilight yelled, but it was to late, Pinkie had already tapped the pod. "Brace yourself!" Dash yelled. Every pony immediately took cover except for Pinkie Pie. "Ooh! I hope it's a cake!" Pinkie hadn't even flinched. After a second a one foot by one foot panel appeared. The panel split in two and parted revealing a tray that had a pink cake. "Yes!" Pinkie was about to smash her face in the cake, but was stopped by a magical force field Twilight put up. The tray immediately slid back and the panel shut. "Pinkie!" Twilight said levitating Pinkie next to her. "That cake could have been poisoned!" Before Pinkie could respond the pod transformed into a large, dark figure. Every pony took a step back. "Well, well, well." The figure said in soft, but deep voice. "Who are you?! What do you want?!" Dash was the first to speak flying high to meet the figures eye level. Dash put up her two front hooves signifying that she was ready for a fight. "Just you." The figure responded holding an unconscious Fluttershy by the tale. "Fluttershy!" Dash said surprised. "What did you do to her!" Dash roared. "Nothing ... yet" The figure sounding insulted. "If you want her ... here." The figure then threw Fluttershy straight up. "Fluttershy!" Dash didn't hesitate to fly towards Fluttershy. "Dashie! NO!" Twilight shouted. Dash was about catch Fluttershy when the figure hit Dash making her crash into a pile of broken wood. Fluttershy began to fall back down, but before any of them could anything the creature opened its big mouth and with a large gulp, swallowed Fluttershy whole. "NO!!" Dash shrieked launching out of the rubble. The creature smacked her again and Dash hit the ground and skidded towards Twilight. "That's it!" Twilight illuminated her horn and casted the most powerful spell she knew. The spell disapeared in the darkness of the figure. Before Twilight could do anything more her vision was engulfed in blinding white light. chapter 2: Kira"Twilight!" Twilight heard a faint voice call out from the white. "Twilight! Wake up!" "RAINBOW!" Twilight yelled jolting awake. She looked around frantically. "Where am I?" Twilight looked to her left and saw Cadence. "The Crystal Empire." Cadence answered. Twilight looked around again. She was in the throne room. Twilight looked at Cadence again. Both of them were being suspended in mid-air. Twilight tired to move, but she couldn't. She tried to use her magic, but nothing seemed to be working. "We already tired that. You'll just wear yourself out." This time some other pony spoke up. Twilight looked to her left to see Celestia and Luna being suspended in mid-air on the other side of the throne. Just then the doors to the throne room opened. "Ah. You're awake! Good, that means we can get started." A dragon entered the room. Its voice sounded female. The dragon's head just barely grazed the top of the door frame. The dragon was a silvery color. It had two pairs of wings on either side. The two bottom wings resembled bird wings. They were an emerald green with blue tips. The top two wings matched the rest of the body with its sleek, silvery design. A green stripe ran along the edge of the wing and branched off to raiser like, silvery feathers that also had blue tips. Three long and menacing claws grew out of either wings. The bottom wings each had two hawk-like claws growing out in the opposite direction. There were long and black claws growing out of the ends of all four wings. The dragons head was symmetrical and had horns growing out the back. Its eyes were big fiery, swirling, oval shaped lights. Its bottom jaw split in half down the middle. A green strip ran down the back and down the front of her stomach. Her hind legs had five, long, metallic claws that resembled the the three on the top wings. Her tale sawed side-to-side as she walked. The tip the of the tale had a claw growing out. "Release us! Now!" Celestia yelled at the the dragon. "Release you?! Why just be patient!" The dragon looked at Twilight. "Well now that you are awake I believe I may begin." The dragon said calmly. "Who are you!? What do want from us?!" Twilight shouted. "Oh! Where are my manners?" The dragon took a bow. "My name is Kira." Kira went back to her menacing stature. "No need for introductions on your part, I know who you all are. You.." Kira pointed to Twilight. "Are Princess Twilight Sparkle of Friendship." Kira said disgustedly "And you.." Kira pointed to Cadence. "Are Princess Mi Amore Cadenza of the Crystal Empire. And You are the infamous, kind, ever-glorious Princess Celestia. And you.." Kira said in an intriguing voice. "Are the Famous Princess Luna of the night." "Enough of this talking!" Celestia yelled aggressively. "What do want with us?!" "Well I-hold on..." Kira paused looking back and forth between Twilight and Cadence. "I'm missing something." Kira held up her top right wing and flicked her claws. With a slight whooshing sound a black, 2-dimensional oval appeared. Kira reached her claw in and pulled out a curled up, shaking Spike. "Twilight." Kira tossed Spike next to Twilight. Spike came to sudden stop in mid-air and looked like he was being bound by invisible ropes. "Spike?!" Twilight looked at Spike. "He'll be conscious in a moment." Kira reached her claw back in and pulled out Shinning Armor. The second Shinning Armor was all the way out of the portal he immediately flailed. Kira dropped him. Shinning Armor landed on his hooves and started shooting all kinds of spells at Kira. The spells did nothing to Kira. They merely just stopped inches in front of her and then disappeared into thin air. Kira swiftly grabbed Shinning Armor by the horn and lifted him off the ground. All five of her claws were rapped around his horn and emanating a black glow. Shinning Armors eyes started to fade and so did his cutie mark. Kira had taken all of his magic and then threw him next to cadence. Just as with Spike, Shinning Armor looked as though he was bound by invisible ropes. "Hmm.." Kira looked at the six of them thinking. "There is another, but he'll come when the time calls." "What are you talking about?" Twilight said. "Yes, what am I-Luuna!" Luna's pupils dilated as she met the gaze of Kira's fiery eyes. "Yes, we have much to talk about! That is if everything goes according." Luna dropped to the floor. She got up to try and defend herself, but before Luna could illuminate her horn, Kira grabbed Luna by the neck and lifted her off the ground. "Don't touch my sister!" Celestia yelled. Kira's claws illuminated with a black glow. Luna clenched up in pain as the black glow encompassed her. "What are doing to my sister?!" There was smile on Kira's face that soon faded as nothing appeared to be happening. Kira growled and drained Luna of all her magic. When Luna's cutie mark had faded completely Kira threw Luna to floor with some force. "Luna!" "Well.." Kira huffed. "I have bad news and I have bad news.. Which would you prefer to here first?" Luna got up on her front hooves slowly and then answered. "B-bad." Luna said softly. "Bad news it is! Well it appears hat you cannot be turned to Nightmare Moon. You are too... overcome to be turned back." Luna gave a faint smile. Kira snarled. "Now, the bad news is that considering you cannot be turned. I cannot enjoy conversations of similar interests. Considering this, you are entirely and utterly useless to me." Kira brought her tale around and jabbed Luna in the chest pinning her against the wall. "LUNA!!" Celestia shrieked. Blood was trickling down Kira's tale as Luna coughed up blood. Kira leaned her head close and lifted Luna's chin. "Such a waist." Kira said disappointingly. Kira let Luna's chin drop down. Blood trickled down Luna's chin as she turned her head to get one last glimpse of her sister, Celestia. Luna's body went limp. Kira pulled her tale out of Luna's chest letting her body fall to the ground like a rag-doll. Celestia dropped as well, but didn't get up. Celestia was too shocked at what had just happened to her only sister. Kira tapped Celestia's horn with a glowing claw. Kira turned around and walked over to Twilight. Kira tapped Cadence's horn and Twilight's. "What did you just do to my horn?" Twilight looked at horn to see if anything was wrong with it. "You can still use your magic, but you cannot teleport." Kira waved her claw and Twilight and Spike fell to the floor. "WHAT?!" Spike shouted as his head hit the floor. "TWILIGHT! LOOK OU-" Twilight hugged Spike. "You're OK." Twilight said. "Ahem!" Kira got their attention. "Twilight. Walk with me." Kira turned around and proceeded to walk to the entrance. Kira took two steps before turning her head to look at Twilight. "Walk with me Twilight!" Twilight didn't see any other option so she stood up and hesitantly followed Kira. Spike walked right next to Twilight holding on to her leg. Twilight levitated Spike onto her back. Kira, Twilight and Spike proceeded to walk down the halls of the Crystal Castle. Kira's metal feathers clinked and clanked as she walked. The three stepped outside of the castle. Twilight looked to her left and saw the Crystal Heart slowly rotating. It was a sunny day with not a single cloud in the sky. A rainbow blur flew out from behind some buildings and flew high in the sky. "It appears we need to pay your friends a visit." Kira said as she headed to where Rainbow Dash just flew away from. chapter 3: Loyalty and ChaosKira and Twilight came around a corner to see five cages. The cage to the far right held Pinkie Pie. The cage just to the left of her was Rarity and Sweetie Belle. The middle cage was empty. The to the left held Apple Jack, Big Mack and Apple Bloom. The cage to the far left held Discord. The ponies immediately shuffled to back of their cage. Discord didn't look up. "Hello ponies, Discord." Kira said meeting the the gaze of all but Discord. "Let us go ya big meanie!" Pinkie shouted standing up. "Hmm, no! Now the-" Rainbow Dash swooped in and hit Kira offside the head. "Take that!" Dash yelled as she flew higher into the sky. "How could I have possibly forgotten about the escapee." Kira looked up at Rainbow Dash. By now every pony was looking up in anticipation, including Discord. "What is she doing?" Kira said watching as Dash kept flying higher and higher. After a minute, Rainbow Dash went into a dive. "What on Earth is sh-... You have got to be kidding me!" Kira said disappointingly. "She's going to do a sonic r.. ra.. rain.. boom." Kira disgustedly. Rainbow Dash was falling faster and faster as the signature cone shape started to form. "Well if one is to go out in such fashion what better death than by most infamous of sorts." Kira looked at Twilight. Twilight shifted her gaze from Dash to Kira as Kira let out a small, yet wicked smile. "Go Rainbow! You can do it!" Spike yelled standing up on Twilight's back. Twilight took a moment think about what Kira just said until it donged on her. "RAINBOW! NO!" But Twilight was too late. Rainbow Dash had just did the sonic rain-boom and a vibrant rainbow dashed out the bottom. Rainbow Dash aimed directly for Kira. Twilight watched as the rainbow zoomed past Twilight as if nothing had happened. "Wait! What? What the?" Twilight stared utterly baffled by the sight of Kira still standing tall. "Ptoo. Ble!" Kira looked over at Twilight. "I believe you would get a better understanding of the situation if you were to turn around." Kira gestured by pointing one of her claws towards the cages. Twilight turned around and saw a most revolting scene. Rainbow Dashes remains were splattered all across the far the right cage. Pinkie's cage. Twilight threw up. The cage as well as Pinkie were dripping with the remains of blood, hair, and organs. Pinkie stood in mid-air a chunk of intestine was hanging off her muzzle. "Lovely!" Kira said as a smile stretched across her face. Twilight immediately turned her head towards Kira feeling even more disgusted than before. "What?... Uugh! Fine! There you are my dear Pinkie." Kira waved her claws and Dash's remains were incinerate. Pinkie still stood in mid-air, horrified. Her eyes were wide open. There was the sound a balloon popping and Pinkie's mane deflated. "Dashie?" Pinkie squeaked collapsing to the ground. "Dashie, no! No! Dashie!" Pinkie went into soft tears, then burst into a waterfall. "DASHIE!" "Rarity. Do comfort your friend." The border between Pinkie's cage and Rarity's cage vanished. "Oh, Pinkie Pie, darling." Rarity said giving Pinkie a hug. "Now then.. Ah, Yes! Sweetie Belle!" Sweetie Belle immediately ran behind Rarity, quivering. "Yes, Apple Bloom and... Oh right Scootiloo was paired with miss Dash. Never mind!" Kira turned to looked at Discord. "Discord!" Kira said enthusiastically. Discord turned his head away from Pinkie. "Yes! Hopefully you will be easier." "What do mean?" Discord said starting to get worried. "Join me! Be evil once more!" Discord turned his head "You'll have your friend Fluttershy back." Discord turned his back in disbelief. Every pony except Pinkie and Rarity turned their heads towards Kira. Kira waved her wings and suddenly Fluttershy was behind them. Fluttershy saw her friend and smiled and then noticed the being to her left. She immediately stepped back in fear. "Fluttershy?" Discord said amazed by the sight of his best and very well only true friend. "Discord!" Fluttershy saw Discord and ran towards him, but she was stopped short by a chain around her back hoof. Fluttershy looked behind and saw Kira holding on to the other end. "EEK!" She squeaked. "You choice, Discord! Choose wisely!" Twilight and every other pony looked at Discord. Twilight bit her lip hoping that Discord would make the right decision. That he learned. "Nice try! That's just an illusion!" Kira's smile vanished as she yanked on the chain and Fluttershy crumbled into die sized cubes that soon vanished. "Very well!" Kira grunted as Discord's cage suddenly vanished. Before Discord could do anything, Kira clenched her claws around his neck. She lifted him off the ground as her claws emanated a black glow. In moments, Discord was drained of all his magic. Kira dropped Discord and then tapped the top his head. "I have stripped you of all your magic except for the ability to do one magical spell of your choice. But if it involve your friends or any pony and I shall kill all, including you!" And with that Kira turned around. "Twilight. Walk with me!" Kira walked off towards the castle. Twilight looked back at her friends and then walked off after Kira. Discord lay on the ground for a moment before getting up. He shook off and turned around and began to walk off in the opposite direction. He took ten steps before being stopped by sound of Apple Jacks voice. "So ya're just leaving us!?" Apple Jack yelled. "I'll come back! I promise!" Discord held up his loin paw. "P-Pinkie promise!" Pinkie tared him in the eye. "Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!" Discord turned back around and walked off. chapter 4: A Bedtime PrologueKira and Twilight entered the throne room where Celestia lay on the floor next to Luna, sobbing. Cadence and Shinning Armor still hung in the air. "Did I not release you?" Kira asked herself looking at Cadence and Armor. "I swear if by the time I'm done and I cannot multiply one by two, I will destroy myself and this world!" Kira mumbled to herself. Kira waved her claw and Cadence and Armor dropped to the ground. "Come along. It's time fo- wait!" Kira looked out the window at the sun that hadn't set from its 5:00 position. Kira stomped her glowing claw on the floor and a low hum vibrated through the whole castle as the sun began to set and the moon rose. Celestia still sobbed, laying down next to Luna's corpse. Kira walked over and brought her head in close to Celestia's ear. "Celestia." Kira said in a soft, soothing voice. "It is time for rest. get up." Celestia ignored her and continued to sob. Celestia's wing was outspread over Luna. Kira tapped Luna and her corpse was incinerated. "NO!" Celestia shouted getting up and casting her most powerful spell at Kira. The spell had on effect. "Done?" Kira said. Celestia collapsed to the floor from exhaustion. Kira levitated Celestia into the air. Celestia let her body lay limp. Her stained coat dripped with her sisters blood. Kira lead every pony to their rooms. Celestia's room was first. Kira gently placed Celestia on her bed and lay the covers over her. Next came Cadence and Shinning Armor's new room. Kira opened the door and allowed them to enter. Finally came Twilight's room. Kira opened the door and allowed Twilight and Spike to enter. Kira what used to be Cadences room and shut the door. Twilight paced impatiently around the room. She tried opening the door, but it was locked and wouldn't open. Twilight ran to windows and tried to brake them open, but the glass wouldn't brake. Twilight tested the door again and then tested the window again. "Twilight!" Spike said trying to get her attention. "Doing the same thing over and over isn't going to give you any different results! You need to rest!" "Rest? Rest!? How you can you rest after one of your best friends was just killed less than thirty minutes ago and there's the potential that we could be next!" Twilight ran to the windows again and threw a lamp at them. The lamp shattered, but the windows remained unscathed. "Will you stop that!" Kira walked into the room. Spike jumped off the bed and ran behind Twilight. "Why are you doing this?! Why are we here?!" Twilight stammered. "Well if you so want to know."Kira paused for a moment. "In my everlasting life, I have evolved many times. I have evolved from my original crossbreed self to a more knowledgeable me. I have evolved to turn me into the me that stands before you. Infinite knowledge of the universe combined with infinite technological abilities." "What?!?" Twilight asked. "I'm not done! Now then! I have evolved many times in order to make better me and now I am nearing the end of this life so I have come into this dimension in order to extract your magic." Kira finished looking out the window. "And so you see, that is why I am here." "Wait! If you're about to die, then why are you taking all the magic?" "Oh you see, I have not lived one life, but in fact multiple lives." Kira stated. "How many?" "To be precise, four." "Four lives?" "Yes. The original. The first clone. The second and the third, me." "But why do you want magic?" "So the next me may be better." Twilight stood baffled, still trying to put everything together. "You see, before I die, I create a clone of me. A better clone. Each clone being better than the first with complete knowledge of my previous lives." "What?" "I create a clone each time before I die, then right before my previous self dies off, I commence a neurological transfer of memories and knowledge. Thus creating an infinite me." Kira paused to let Twilight comprehend some what she just said. "Since this life is coming to an end, I must create a clone, but of course, not just any clone, a better clone. I have already harnessed infinite technological or logical abilities. I have come to this world in order to harness all of its illogical abilities. Otherwise known as magic." "But why keep us as prisoners?" "Prisoners? No! You are my company." Kira stated enthusiastically. "Company?!" "You see, there is this disease, a virus that has festered throughout my family for generations. It normally stays dormant for years, even an entire life time, but when triggered by a major, life changing event it reacts. It spreads throughout the brain, causing the host to be plunged into an endless abyss of insanity. And that is where you and your friends come in. The virus itself varies from host to host and can be fueled by many different things." "What do you mean fueled?" Twilight interrupted. "Depending on the host and the event, the virus could be controlled. In my case; The virus arose when my parents were slaughtered mercilessly. I ran away to another land and thus began my ascent. Like a phoenix, I rose letting the virus be fueled by the death, blood and suffering of others. It's a rather enjoyable feeling." "And when does any of this involve me?" "Even though it has an enjoyable trend to it, I would still rather like to control my own self and not become entirely consumed by insanity. You are my voice of reason, of mercy, of sanity. I may not always listen to my company, but it helps to have such a voice that I may occasionally listen to keep my sanity." Twilight didn't know to respond to any of that. "So you see. There is a purpose to you being here." Kira walked out the door and shut it. "Wait! What?!" Spike was finally able to say. chapter 5: WaitingIt has been two weeks since Kira had taken over the world of Equestria. Every pony had a job in the Crystal Empire. Apple Jack and Big Mack worked at the crystal farms harvesting crops. Apple Bloom would ship the harvested crops from the farm to the crystal market. Pinkie Pie stayed in the bakery sobbing away her sorrows in cupcakes. Rarity stayed in the bakery with Pinkie Pie to comfort her. Sweetie Belle played the grand piano every day from 10 to 11:00 A.M. and 5 to 6:00 P.M. Celestia never left her room. Cadence and Shinning Armor wondered around the castle making sure to avoiding Kira at all times. Twilight and Spike stayed in the royal library trying to find a spell that could defeat Kira. Discord and Scootiloo were nowhere to be seen. "Twilight. Walk with me." Kira said sticking her head into the library. Every Monday and Friday, Twilight, Spike and Kira would go for a walk around the Crystal Empire at noon. Kira, Twilight and Spike passed by the bakery to give one wave to Pinkie and Rarity and then moved on to say one hello to each friend. The crystal ponies were still around, but they never left their homes in fear. The only time left their homes was for food. "What are your plans for the crystal ponies?" Twilight asked. "Well nothing yet, but their time will come at some point." Kira, Twilight and Spike came back in the castle and proceeded with their daily routeing. Twilight and Spike went back to the library. Kira went off to a secret place that no pony knows where. ~~~~ Kira was staring out the window looking out on the Crystal Empire and beyond. Twilight walked up to Kira. "What are your plans for Equestria?" Twilight asked hesitantly. "Nothing now. Just waiting." Kira answered not looking away from the window. "Waiting for what?" "Sombra." "But Sombra is dead." "Not dead. Wounded fatally and recovering." Kira still stared out the window. "What about Chrysalis or Tirek?" Twilight added. "Dead. Both of them. Tirek was simple. Chrysalis was rather time consuming. I find that even though it does seem a bit cheesy, I do see the advantage of the ability to feed on love. Especially in my line of work where love is what keeps most in my land from killing themselves." "Your land?!" "A land of fear, death and drugs. Yes." "Drugs?" Twilight was completely baffled. "Of no importance nor need here." Kira still stared out the window. "Why do you want Sombra?" Twilight said after a brief moment. "Dark magic." Kira turned her head towards Twilight. "But until then, not much." Kira said swiftly turning her body around and walking out of the room. Kira entered the bakery where Pinkie Pie just pulled out a fresh batch of cupcakes. "Pinkie! I need a party!" Pinkie turned her head towards Kira. "You MONSTER!" Pinkie yelled throwing the cupcakes at Kira. "YOU KILLED DASHIE!" "I prefer Monstrosity thank you very much!" Kira said catching the tray. "Now, as I said. I need a party in the throne room!" "Why?! AP! You know what, it doesn't matter 'cause I'm not doing it!" Pinkie sat down angrily crossing her hooves. "Well depends." Kira said intriguingly. "What do you meant "Depends"?" Pinkie raised an eyebrow. "Well you are of no use to me really, so how would you rather die? In here, alone or with your friends, partying? Your choice." Kira held up her claw ready to strike. "ONE UPPER DOOPER FUN PARTY COMIN' RIGHT UP!!!!" Pinkie dashed to the other room.

Twilight's focus was swiftly averted when Rainbow Dash came barreling through the door. "Have you seen any of the pegusi? I can't seem to find any of them." Dash said flying all around the library. "No. I haven't seen any of them. Why?" Twilight answered. "These clouds keep coming in from the Everfree forest. Cloud Chaser and Derpy are supposed to be helping keep the sky clear." "Why are clouds coming in from the Everfree?" Twilight said a little confused. "I don't know! They just keep coming and if this keep ups I'm going to miss my picnic with Fluttershy." Dash flew back out the door. "That's odd." Twilight said to herself. "Spike, I'm heading out to see what's going on. You stay here and continue to clean up." Twilight walked out the door. Twilight walked around Ponyville looking out for any pegusi. Twilight decided to head for Fluttershy's cottage. She walked along the gravel road s Fluttershy's cottage came into view. When Twilight got there the door was wide open. She entered the cottage and saw that all the little woodland creatures anywhere to seen and neither was Fluttershy. Twilight wondered around to all the possible places Fluttershy could be. Twilight walked back into town and saw Apple Jack selling apples. "Twilight!" Apple Jack waved. "Great to see you. did you finish your new book already?" "No, actually I'm looking for Fluttershy and the other pegusi. Have you seen any?" Twilight said. "Only Rainbow." Apple Jack pointed upwards at Rainbow Dash flying all over the place trying to keep the sky clear. Dash wasn't able to keep up with the amount of clouds that were coming in. After a few minutes the sky was completely covered in clouds except for an open spot in the middle of the town. By now every pony was gathered in the town square as the Mayer walked up to the podium. "Calm down every pony. I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation for all this." The Mayer said looking just as worried as every other pony. Then suddenly from the hole in the clouds came a silver pod. Rainbow Dash quickly swooped to save the Mayer. Just as Rainbow started flying away with the Mayer the pod crashed into city hall causing a large cloud of dust to spread throughout the town, covering every pony. Twilight illuminated her horn and cleared the dust away. When the dust was cleared the only ponies left were Twilight all her friends. Twilight looked around trying to spot any other pony. It was just her and her friends. City hall was now a pile of splinters. In the center of the recage lay the pod that had fallen from the sky. The five friends slowly made their way closer to the pod. "What d'ya think it is?" Apple Jack asked looking at the silvery colored pod. "I don't know, but whatever you do don't-" "Ooh! Shinny!" Pinkie interrupted Twilight putting up a hoof to touch the reflective surface. "Pinkie! NO!" Twilight yelled, but it was to late, Pinkie had already tapped the pod. "Brace yourself!" Dash yelled. Every pony immediately took cover except for Pinkie Pie. "Ooh! I hope it's a cake!" Pinkie hadn't even flinched. After a second a one foot by one foot panel appeared. The panel split in two and parted revealing a tray that had a pink cake. "Yes!" Pinkie was about to smash her face in the cake, but was stopped by a magical force field Twilight put up. The tray immediately slid back and the panel shut. "Pinkie!" Twilight said levitating Pinkie next to her. "That cake could have been poisoned!" Before Pinkie could respond the pod transformed into a large, dark figure. Every pony took a step back. "Well, well, well." The figure said in soft, but deep voice. "Who are you?! What do you want?!" Dash was the first to speak flying high to meet the figures eye level. Dash put up her two front hooves signifying that she was ready for a fight. "Just you." The figure responded holding an unconscious Fluttershy by the tale. "Fluttershy!" Dash said surprised. "What did you do to her!" Dash roared. "Nothing ... yet" The figure sounding insulted. "If you want her ... here." The figure then threw Fluttershy straight up. "Fluttershy!" Dash didn't hesitate to fly towards Fluttershy. "Dashie! NO!" Twilight shouted. Dash was about catch Fluttershy when the figure hit Dash making her crash into a pile of broken wood. Fluttershy began to fall back down, but before any of them could anything the creature opened its big mouth and with a large gulp, swallowed Fluttershy whole. "NO!!" Dash shrieked launching out of the rubble. The creature smacked her again and Dash hit the ground and skidded towards Twilight. "That's it!" Twilight illuminated her horn and casted the most powerful spell she knew. The spell disapeared in the darkness of the figure. Before Twilight could do anything more her vision was engulfed in blinding white light.
chapter 2: Kira"Twilight!" Twilight heard a faint voice call out from the white. "Twilight! Wake up!" "RAINBOW!" Twilight yelled jolting awake. She looked around frantically. "Where am I?" Twilight looked to her left and saw Cadence. "The Crystal Empire." Cadence answered. Twilight looked around again. She was in the throne room. Twilight looked at Cadence again. Both of them were being suspended in mid-air. Twilight tired to move, but she couldn't. She tried to use her magic, but nothing seemed to be working. "We already tired that. You'll just wear yourself out." This time some other pony spoke up. Twilight looked to her left to see Celestia and Luna being suspended in mid-air on the other side of the throne. Just then the doors to the throne room opened. "Ah. You're awake! Good, that means we can get started." A dragon entered the room. Its voice sounded female. The dragon's head just barely grazed the top of the door frame. The dragon was a silvery color. It had two pairs of wings on either side. The two bottom wings resembled bird wings. They were an emerald green with blue tips. The top two wings matched the rest of the body with its sleek, silvery design. A green stripe ran along the edge of the wing and branched off to raiser like, silvery feathers that also had blue tips. Three long and menacing claws grew out of either wings. The bottom wings each had two hawk-like claws growing out in the opposite direction. There were long and black claws growing out of the ends of all four wings. The dragons head was symmetrical and had horns growing out the back. Its eyes were big fiery, swirling, oval shaped lights. Its bottom jaw split in half down the middle. A green strip ran down the back and down the front of her stomach. Her hind legs had five, long, metallic claws that resembled the the three on the top wings. Her tale sawed side-to-side as she walked. The tip the of the tale had a claw growing out. "Release us! Now!" Celestia yelled at the the dragon. "Release you?! Why just be patient!" The dragon looked at Twilight. "Well now that you are awake I believe I may begin." The dragon said calmly. "Who are you!? What do want from us?!" Twilight shouted. "Oh! Where are my manners?" The dragon took a bow. "My name is Kira." Kira went back to her menacing stature. "No need for introductions on your part, I know who you all are. You.." Kira pointed to Twilight. "Are Princess Twilight Sparkle of Friendship." Kira said disgustedly "And you.." Kira pointed to Cadence. "Are Princess Mi Amore Cadenza of the Crystal Empire. And You are the infamous, kind, ever-glorious Princess Celestia. And you.." Kira said in an intriguing voice. "Are the Famous Princess Luna of the night." "Enough of this talking!" Celestia yelled aggressively. "What do want with us?!" "Well I-hold on..." Kira paused looking back and forth between Twilight and Cadence. "I'm missing something." Kira held up her top right wing and flicked her claws. With a slight whooshing sound a black, 2-dimensional oval appeared. Kira reached her claw in and pulled out a curled up, shaking Spike. "Twilight." Kira tossed Spike next to Twilight. Spike came to sudden stop in mid-air and looked like he was being bound by invisible ropes. "Spike?!" Twilight looked at Spike. "He'll be conscious in a moment." Kira reached her claw back in and pulled out Shinning Armor. The second Shinning Armor was all the way out of the portal he immediately flailed. Kira dropped him. Shinning Armor landed on his hooves and started shooting all kinds of spells at Kira. The spells did nothing to Kira. They merely just stopped inches in front of her and then disappeared into thin air. Kira swiftly grabbed Shinning Armor by the horn and lifted him off the ground. All five of her claws were rapped around his horn and emanating a black glow. Shinning Armors eyes started to fade and so did his cutie mark. Kira had taken all of his magic and then threw him next to cadence. Just as with Spike, Shinning Armor looked as though he was bound by invisible ropes. "Hmm.." Kira looked at the six of them thinking. "There is another, but he'll come when the time calls." "What are you talking about?" Twilight said. "Yes, what am I-Luuna!" Luna's pupils dilated as she met the gaze of Kira's fiery eyes. "Yes, we have much to talk about! That is if everything goes according." Luna dropped to the floor. She got up to try and defend herself, but before Luna could illuminate her horn, Kira grabbed Luna by the neck and lifted her off the ground. "Don't touch my sister!" Celestia yelled. Kira's claws illuminated with a black glow. Luna clenched up in pain as the black glow encompassed her. "What are doing to my sister?!" There was smile on Kira's face that soon faded as nothing appeared to be happening. Kira growled and drained Luna of all her magic. When Luna's cutie mark had faded completely Kira threw Luna to floor with some force. "Luna!" "Well.." Kira huffed. "I have bad news and I have bad news.. Which would you prefer to here first?" Luna got up on her front hooves slowly and then answered. "B-bad." Luna said softly. "Bad news it is! Well it appears hat you cannot be turned to Nightmare Moon. You are too... overcome to be turned back." Luna gave a faint smile. Kira snarled. "Now, the bad news is that considering you cannot be turned. I cannot enjoy conversations of similar interests. Considering this, you are entirely and utterly useless to me." Kira brought her tale around and jabbed Luna in the chest pinning her against the wall. "LUNA!!" Celestia shrieked. Blood was trickling down Kira's tale as Luna coughed up blood. Kira leaned her head close and lifted Luna's chin. "Such a waist." Kira said disappointingly. Kira let Luna's chin drop down. Blood trickled down Luna's chin as she turned her head to get one last glimpse of her sister, Celestia. Luna's body went limp. Kira pulled her tale out of Luna's chest letting her body fall to the ground like a rag-doll. Celestia dropped as well, but didn't get up. Celestia was too shocked at what had just happened to her only sister. Kira tapped Celestia's horn with a glowing claw. Kira turned around and walked over to Twilight. Kira tapped Cadence's horn and Twilight's. "What did you just do to my horn?" Twilight looked at horn to see if anything was wrong with it. "You can still use your magic, but you cannot teleport." Kira waved her claw and Twilight and Spike fell to the floor. "WHAT?!" Spike shouted as his head hit the floor. "TWILIGHT! LOOK OU-" Twilight hugged Spike. "You're OK." Twilight said. "Ahem!" Kira got their attention. "Twilight. Walk with me." Kira turned around and proceeded to walk to the entrance. Kira took two steps before turning her head to look at Twilight. "Walk with me Twilight!" Twilight didn't see any other option so she stood up and hesitantly followed Kira. Spike walked right next to Twilight holding on to her leg. Twilight levitated Spike onto her back. Kira, Twilight and Spike proceeded to walk down the halls of the Crystal Castle. Kira's metal feathers clinked and clanked as she walked. The three stepped outside of the castle. Twilight looked to her left and saw the Crystal Heart slowly rotating. It was a sunny day with not a single cloud in the sky. A rainbow blur flew out from behind some buildings and flew high in the sky. "It appears we need to pay your friends a visit." Kira said as she headed to where Rainbow Dash just flew away from.
chapter 3: Loyalty and ChaosKira and Twilight came around a corner to see five cages. The cage to the far right held Pinkie Pie. The cage just to the left of her was Rarity and Sweetie Belle. The middle cage was empty. The to the left held Apple Jack, Big Mack and Apple Bloom. The cage to the far left held Discord. The ponies immediately shuffled to back of their cage. Discord didn't look up. "Hello ponies, Discord." Kira said meeting the the gaze of all but Discord. "Let us go ya big meanie!" Pinkie shouted standing up. "Hmm, no! Now the-" Rainbow Dash swooped in and hit Kira offside the head. "Take that!" Dash yelled as she flew higher into the sky. "How could I have possibly forgotten about the escapee." Kira looked up at Rainbow Dash. By now every pony was looking up in anticipation, including Discord. "What is she doing?" Kira said watching as Dash kept flying higher and higher. After a minute, Rainbow Dash went into a dive. "What on Earth is sh-... You have got to be kidding me!" Kira said disappointingly. "She's going to do a sonic r.. ra.. rain.. boom." Kira disgustedly. Rainbow Dash was falling faster and faster as the signature cone shape started to form. "Well if one is to go out in such fashion what better death than by most infamous of sorts." Kira looked at Twilight. Twilight shifted her gaze from Dash to Kira as Kira let out a small, yet wicked smile. "Go Rainbow! You can do it!" Spike yelled standing up on Twilight's back. Twilight took a moment think about what Kira just said until it donged on her. "RAINBOW! NO!" But Twilight was too late. Rainbow Dash had just did the sonic rain-boom and a vibrant rainbow dashed out the bottom. Rainbow Dash aimed directly for Kira. Twilight watched as the rainbow zoomed past Twilight as if nothing had happened. "Wait! What? What the?" Twilight stared utterly baffled by the sight of Kira still standing tall. "Ptoo. Ble!" Kira looked over at Twilight. "I believe you would get a better understanding of the situation if you were to turn around." Kira gestured by pointing one of her claws towards the cages. Twilight turned around and saw a most revolting scene. Rainbow Dashes remains were splattered all across the far the right cage. Pinkie's cage. Twilight threw up. The cage as well as Pinkie were dripping with the remains of blood, hair, and organs. Pinkie stood in mid-air a chunk of intestine was hanging off her muzzle. "Lovely!" Kira said as a smile stretched across her face. Twilight immediately turned her head towards Kira feeling even more disgusted than before. "What?... Uugh! Fine! There you are my dear Pinkie." Kira waved her claws and Dash's remains were incinerate. Pinkie still stood in mid-air, horrified. Her eyes were wide open. There was the sound a balloon popping and Pinkie's mane deflated. "Dashie?" Pinkie squeaked collapsing to the ground. "Dashie, no! No! Dashie!" Pinkie went into soft tears, then burst into a waterfall. "DASHIE!" "Rarity. Do comfort your friend." The border between Pinkie's cage and Rarity's cage vanished. "Oh, Pinkie Pie, darling." Rarity said giving Pinkie a hug. "Now then.. Ah, Yes! Sweetie Belle!" Sweetie Belle immediately ran behind Rarity, quivering. "Yes, Apple Bloom and... Oh right Scootiloo was paired with miss Dash. Never mind!" Kira turned to looked at Discord. "Discord!" Kira said enthusiastically. Discord turned his head away from Pinkie. "Yes! Hopefully you will be easier." "What do mean?" Discord said starting to get worried. "Join me! Be evil once more!" Discord turned his head "You'll have your friend Fluttershy back." Discord turned his back in disbelief. Every pony except Pinkie and Rarity turned their heads towards Kira. Kira waved her wings and suddenly Fluttershy was behind them. Fluttershy saw her friend and smiled and then noticed the being to her left. She immediately stepped back in fear. "Fluttershy?" Discord said amazed by the sight of his best and very well only true friend. "Discord!" Fluttershy saw Discord and ran towards him, but she was stopped short by a chain around her back hoof. Fluttershy looked behind and saw Kira holding on to the other end. "EEK!" She squeaked. "You choice, Discord! Choose wisely!" Twilight and every other pony looked at Discord. Twilight bit her lip hoping that Discord would make the right decision. That he learned. "Nice try! That's just an illusion!" Kira's smile vanished as she yanked on the chain and Fluttershy crumbled into die sized cubes that soon vanished. "Very well!" Kira grunted as Discord's cage suddenly vanished. Before Discord could do anything, Kira clenched her claws around his neck. She lifted him off the ground as her claws emanated a black glow. In moments, Discord was drained of all his magic. Kira dropped Discord and then tapped the top his head. "I have stripped you of all your magic except for the ability to do one magical spell of your choice. But if it involve your friends or any pony and I shall kill all, including you!" And with that Kira turned around. "Twilight. Walk with me!" Kira walked off towards the castle. Twilight looked back at her friends and then walked off after Kira. Discord lay on the ground for a moment before getting up. He shook off and turned around and began to walk off in the opposite direction. He took ten steps before being stopped by sound of Apple Jacks voice. "So ya're just leaving us!?" Apple Jack yelled. "I'll come back! I promise!" Discord held up his loin paw. "P-Pinkie promise!" Pinkie tared him in the eye. "Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!" Discord turned back around and walked off.
chapter 4: A Bedtime PrologueKira and Twilight entered the throne room where Celestia lay on the floor next to Luna, sobbing. Cadence and Shinning Armor still hung in the air. "Did I not release you?" Kira asked herself looking at Cadence and Armor. "I swear if by the time I'm done and I cannot multiply one by two, I will destroy myself and this world!" Kira mumbled to herself. Kira waved her claw and Cadence and Armor dropped to the ground. "Come along. It's time fo- wait!" Kira looked out the window at the sun that hadn't set from its 5:00 position. Kira stomped her glowing claw on the floor and a low hum vibrated through the whole castle as the sun began to set and the moon rose. Celestia still sobbed, laying down next to Luna's corpse. Kira walked over and brought her head in close to Celestia's ear. "Celestia." Kira said in a soft, soothing voice. "It is time for rest. get up." Celestia ignored her and continued to sob. Celestia's wing was outspread over Luna. Kira tapped Luna and her corpse was incinerated. "NO!" Celestia shouted getting up and casting her most powerful spell at Kira. The spell had on effect. "Done?" Kira said. Celestia collapsed to the floor from exhaustion. Kira levitated Celestia into the air. Celestia let her body lay limp. Her stained coat dripped with her sisters blood. Kira lead every pony to their rooms. Celestia's room was first. Kira gently placed Celestia on her bed and lay the covers over her. Next came Cadence and Shinning Armor's new room. Kira opened the door and allowed them to enter. Finally came Twilight's room. Kira opened the door and allowed Twilight and Spike to enter. Kira what used to be Cadences room and shut the door. Twilight paced impatiently around the room. She tried opening the door, but it was locked and wouldn't open. Twilight ran to windows and tried to brake them open, but the glass wouldn't brake. Twilight tested the door again and then tested the window again. "Twilight!" Spike said trying to get her attention. "Doing the same thing over and over isn't going to give you any different results! You need to rest!" "Rest? Rest!? How you can you rest after one of your best friends was just killed less than thirty minutes ago and there's the potential that we could be next!" Twilight ran to the windows again and threw a lamp at them. The lamp shattered, but the windows remained unscathed. "Will you stop that!" Kira walked into the room. Spike jumped off the bed and ran behind Twilight. "Why are you doing this?! Why are we here?!" Twilight stammered. "Well if you so want to know."Kira paused for a moment. "In my everlasting life, I have evolved many times. I have evolved from my original crossbreed self to a more knowledgeable me. I have evolved to turn me into the me that stands before you. Infinite knowledge of the universe combined with infinite technological abilities." "What?!?" Twilight asked. "I'm not done! Now then! I have evolved many times in order to make better me and now I am nearing the end of this life so I have come into this dimension in order to extract your magic." Kira finished looking out the window. "And so you see, that is why I am here." "Wait! If you're about to die, then why are you taking all the magic?" "Oh you see, I have not lived one life, but in fact multiple lives." Kira stated. "How many?" "To be precise, four." "Four lives?" "Yes. The original. The first clone. The second and the third, me." "But why do you want magic?" "So the next me may be better." Twilight stood baffled, still trying to put everything together. "You see, before I die, I create a clone of me. A better clone. Each clone being better than the first with complete knowledge of my previous lives." "What?" "I create a clone each time before I die, then right before my previous self dies off, I commence a neurological transfer of memories and knowledge. Thus creating an infinite me." Kira paused to let Twilight comprehend some what she just said. "Since this life is coming to an end, I must create a clone, but of course, not just any clone, a better clone. I have already harnessed infinite technological or logical abilities. I have come to this world in order to harness all of its illogical abilities. Otherwise known as magic." "But why keep us as prisoners?" "Prisoners? No! You are my company." Kira stated enthusiastically. "Company?!" "You see, there is this disease, a virus that has festered throughout my family for generations. It normally stays dormant for years, even an entire life time, but when triggered by a major, life changing event it reacts. It spreads throughout the brain, causing the host to be plunged into an endless abyss of insanity. And that is where you and your friends come in. The virus itself varies from host to host and can be fueled by many different things." "What do you mean fueled?" Twilight interrupted. "Depending on the host and the event, the virus could be controlled. In my case; The virus arose when my parents were slaughtered mercilessly. I ran away to another land and thus began my ascent. Like a phoenix, I rose letting the virus be fueled by the death, blood and suffering of others. It's a rather enjoyable feeling." "And when does any of this involve me?" "Even though it has an enjoyable trend to it, I would still rather like to control my own self and not become entirely consumed by insanity. You are my voice of reason, of mercy, of sanity. I may not always listen to my company, but it helps to have such a voice that I may occasionally listen to keep my sanity." Twilight didn't know to respond to any of that. "So you see. There is a purpose to you being here." Kira walked out the door and shut it. "Wait! What?!" Spike was finally able to say.
chapter 5: WaitingIt has been two weeks since Kira had taken over the world of Equestria. Every pony had a job in the Crystal Empire. Apple Jack and Big Mack worked at the crystal farms harvesting crops. Apple Bloom would ship the harvested crops from the farm to the crystal market. Pinkie Pie stayed in the bakery sobbing away her sorrows in cupcakes. Rarity stayed in the bakery with Pinkie Pie to comfort her. Sweetie Belle played the grand piano every day from 10 to 11:00 A.M. and 5 to 6:00 P.M. Celestia never left her room. Cadence and Shinning Armor wondered around the castle making sure to avoiding Kira at all times. Twilight and Spike stayed in the royal library trying to find a spell that could defeat Kira. Discord and Scootiloo were nowhere to be seen. "Twilight. Walk with me." Kira said sticking her head into the library. Every Monday and Friday, Twilight, Spike and Kira would go for a walk around the Crystal Empire at noon. Kira, Twilight and Spike passed by the bakery to give one wave to Pinkie and Rarity and then moved on to say one hello to each friend. The crystal ponies were still around, but they never left their homes in fear. The only time left their homes was for food. "What are your plans for the crystal ponies?" Twilight asked. "Well nothing yet, but their time will come at some point." Kira, Twilight and Spike came back in the castle and proceeded with their daily routeing. Twilight and Spike went back to the library. Kira went off to a secret place that no pony knows where. ~~~~ Kira was staring out the window looking out on the Crystal Empire and beyond. Twilight walked up to Kira. "What are your plans for Equestria?" Twilight asked hesitantly. "Nothing now. Just waiting." Kira answered not looking away from the window. "Waiting for what?" "Sombra." "But Sombra is dead." "Not dead. Wounded fatally and recovering." Kira still stared out the window. "What about Chrysalis or Tirek?" Twilight added. "Dead. Both of them. Tirek was simple. Chrysalis was rather time consuming. I find that even though it does seem a bit cheesy, I do see the advantage of the ability to feed on love. Especially in my line of work where love is what keeps most in my land from killing themselves." "Your land?!" "A land of fear, death and drugs. Yes." "Drugs?" Twilight was completely baffled. "Of no importance nor need here." Kira still stared out the window. "Why do you want Sombra?" Twilight said after a brief moment. "Dark magic." Kira turned her head towards Twilight. "But until then, not much." Kira said swiftly turning her body around and walking out of the room. Kira entered the bakery where Pinkie Pie just pulled out a fresh batch of cupcakes. "Pinkie! I need a party!" Pinkie turned her head towards Kira. "You MONSTER!" Pinkie yelled throwing the cupcakes at Kira. "YOU KILLED DASHIE!" "I prefer Monstrosity thank you very much!" Kira said catching the tray. "Now, as I said. I need a party in the throne room!" "Why?! AP! You know what, it doesn't matter 'cause I'm not doing it!" Pinkie sat down angrily crossing her hooves. "Well depends." Kira said intriguingly. "What do you meant "Depends"?" Pinkie raised an eyebrow. "Well you are of no use to me really, so how would you rather die? In here, alone or with your friends, partying? Your choice." Kira held up her claw ready to strike. "ONE UPPER DOOPER FUN PARTY COMIN' RIGHT UP!!!!" Pinkie dashed to the other room.
